Placing VOID check on second page instead on first ....(Layout)

Hi All,
In Payables Manager responsibility there is a function called Payments formats in that particular screen we can give the number of invoices.
The maximum we can give is 37. So every time when ever it is submitting the concurrent program it prints 37 records on the first page with the check as INVALID and if it is having more than 37 records it prints 37 invoices on the first page with the check INVALID on the first page and the second page remaining records with the check with the amount to be paid.
The requirement here we have is, we have to print the check on the first page itself with the amount to be paid, and overflowing invoices should come in the second page. And on the second page it should not print any check it just should show VOID as a water mark.

Have you tried setting the starting page number to zero? Then the next page should be #1.
Or you can add a section break & start the numbering of the new section at 1.

Dropdown List in Second Page Not Displaying First Page's Selection

Hi,
I have two pages. The first displays an employee hierarchy. So the first page displays several employee ids. When you click Edit, the second page only displays the emp_id because of this code in my dropdown list.
e.emp_id=:P2_X_EMPDROPDOWN;
The other dropdown lists do not get populated with the previous page selection. So my questions is how do I get the dropdown lists in page 2 to display the previous page's selection. So the focus of each of the dropdown lists should highlight the previous page's selection.

If I understand your problem right, this can be the solution:
In the list of values definition of the seccond selectlist, you set this:
select e.LST_NM||' '|| e.frst_nm d, e.emp_id r
from
emp_table ethen your default value must be the Id selected on the first page. You can do this as follows:
Default Value Type is set to PL/SQL Function Body
Default value is
return :P1_X_EMPDROPDOWN;

My company recently loaded foxfire and I cannot have two applications open in foxfire, the second page overlays the first and I cannot go back to the previous page or reduce the first page to view the first.

My pages in Foxfore are overlaying one another which is normal but you cannot get back to the previous page. An example is if I have a page opened in a program and open something totally different it replaces the first page and I cannot reduce the size to see the first page I was viewing nor go back to it. I did open a page with audio and opened another application in foxfire and the replacing went on as usual but the audio continued to play so the page is stinn there. Also the tool bar page showing icon is replaced with the newly opened page not an additional page opened being shown as a tab. It's like the newest page or site I open in Foxfire replaces the one that is currently opened.

This might be caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

MDT formated second partition instead of first one

Hi
I have diskpart script in preinstallation task sequence
SELECT disk 0
SELECT partition 1
FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="System" QUICK
EXIT
And I have "Install Operating System" step configured to install OS on first disk and first partition.
Everything works great, but there are some old WinXP computers that have OS files on disk C: and boot files on disk D:
So, the second partition has boot files and is being active. MDT wizard wiped out this partition and installed OS there. Why?
How to prevent it?

Keith Garner, my C: drive is my first partition for sure. Let me explain little bit more.
What I had before:
two partitions/volumes:
1st partition according to diskpart -- Volume C: -- 200GB size -- OS files (Windows, Program Files, etc.)
2nd partition according to diskpart -- Volume D: -- 260Gb size -- Boot files (ntldr, boot.ini, etc) -- Active
What I have after:
1st partition -- Volume C: -- 200GB -- no files (seems to be formatted)
2nd partition -- Volume D: -- 260GB -- old data is deleted, only new OS files (Windows, Program Files, etc) -- --- still Active
fapw, yes I want to preserve second volume. And actually I do it. It works great except some old computers, that were prepared many years ago with boot files
on the second partition.
Unless you explicitly say to not create extra partitions your OSDisk is not the first partition.

How do I create a automatic second page with different layout settings?

Hi there,
I want to create a business letter template with a different second page. I already managed to create a different layout on page nr two, but
whenever I write a letter with this template and I reach the end of page one, pages creates a thrid page in between my page nr one and nr two with a mixture of the layout of template page nr two and the footer of page nr one.
I want pages to take my template page nr two (with different header and footer) as second page instead of creating one itself.
If I don't need a second page - because my letter is to short - I should not have to delete a second page. It simply should not be there...

Hello Stefan,
you achieve this with a little trick. Create your letter and set the layout for the first and the second page by inserting a placeholder text. This placeholder text should fill the first page and the top of the second page, so both pages are build in one section. When the entire letter is layouted well, select the placeholder text and than save the letter as a template.
Now every time you open this template, you only have to insert the main text (replace the placeholder text with real content), and the second page disappears until the main text overflows the borders of the first page. Than you will get the second page again with the layout you have created for it.
I hope this will work for you like it works fine for me.

Problem in Printing with Second Page

I am trying to print a letter which comes in 2-3 pages.I made one smartform for that ,its working fine when i see print preview of output.But when i take printout of that, second page overlaps the first page.This problem is persisting from a very long time but my all efforts went in vein.Kindly suggest where is problem actually lies.

Page numbering starting on second page...

I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong here. All I want to do is start my numbering from 1 on the second page, leaving the first page (title page) without a page number. I know this can be done because it is formatted this way on the screenplay template, but after searching the manual, online help, and this forum and I cannot find anything that will make this work. I've also tried "view invisible" to see how the template is formatted but I cannot get it to work on a new document. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try this:
1. Start with a blank doc and turn on Show Invisibles.
2. Click on Insert > Section Break
3. In the Inspector, click on the Layout Inspector (2nd icon from left)
4. Put your cursor in the second section of the doc
5. In the Layout Inspector, click on Section tab
6. Make sure First Page is Different is checked, and Use Previous Headers & Footers is UNchecked
7. Use the option to begin your numbering where you want it to start

Calling the second page in d script

Hi friends,
I want to print the next page in d SAP Script. I assigned the second page in d first page n called d second page recursively.
With this i m getting to view the print priew of the second page but the ntries in the main window r gettin repeated. If i doont assign d 2nd page den i m getting d correct o/p but the next page is not called.
Even d footer is not gettin called after the main window. It is displayed in d first page itself evn if the main window extends to the second page.

How to call second page in Smartform without calling first page

Hi Gurus,
I have two pages in one smartform. I am using this for PWB purpose. PLease tell me how I first or second page will be triggered depending on the conditional flag that has been defined in global variables.
For first page it is working...but I don't know how to call the second page bypassing the first page on condition basis.

Hi,
The smartform will always start with the first page in the structure by default. However when you call the smartform you can specify which page to start with in the structure CONTROL_PARAMETERS field STARTPAGE, this does mean you have to change you print program to include the logic, not the form.

AP Check Multi-pages printing VOID checks only

Hello -
I have developed an RTF for AP Checks in Oracle R12.1 which works fine for a single page. But when printing multiple pages, it prints only VOID checks on all of the pages. Whereas, it is supposed to print actual check on the LAST page.
I am using the following condition:
Choose When
<?when:PaymentStatus/Code='VOID_BY_OVERFLOW'?>
Print VOID Check
Else
Print Live Check
End Choose
I am calling the sub-template from the page footer.
Any help is appreciated. I can send RTF and XML file if necessary

Hi Ron Moore,
I am afraid if you want to print checks for those misc vendors, you need to create at least one vendor so that you can print regular check with stub. This vendor's name can be changed from time to time but with the same code.

Problem in Continuous check printing from second page in F-58

Hi ,
I am using T code F-58 to trigger cheques. I have made a Z* of the standard script F110_PRENUM_CHCK as I just require the Payee name, date, amount in digits and amount in words to be printed on the cheque.I am using the continuous stationary for the cheque . I am using EPSONLQ1150II DOT Matrix printer.
The cheque dimensions are ; width:202 MM and Height 94 MM excluding the dots on either side.
I have created a z page format with the same dimensions ,
also created format type with same name and for device type SWIN - Windows printing via SAPlpd
z format is linked.
Also in local system , i defined z page dimensions in server properties
and selected printing preferences as this z page size .
Issue :
When i am trying to take print , check is printing properly in first page for spool 1 .
If again when trying to print 2nd spool , check is not printing properly in second page check.
It is printing 2mm down , for 3 rd page further printing downwards.
As this is pre printed stationary data is not lying correctly from 2 nd page onwards.
kindly give me any suggestions how to rectify this.

Printer initialization : # no action.
End of page is having \f
End of line is having \n
Reset after exit is having # sapwin x_paper
Cover page is : # no title page
all are in green.
Same thing i included for MY z page format . But still it is printing same as mentioned above.
Kindly suggest how to write initialization for z page format for SWIN device type.

Make sure that Firefox closes properly and that that there are no longer Firefox or plugin-container processes left on the Processes tab in the Task Manager. Otherwise session restore will reopen the page(s) from the previous session.

My firefox will allow me to open a page then it gets stuck on the second page and times out--how do I fix this. I have checked the sites on Explorer -it works

example it would go to yahoo and I would sign in but the next page would just spin and time out

This is a page within the Yahoo site? When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In that dialog, you can individually remove your yahoo.com cookies.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

How can I stop ipod from defaulting on "on this ipod" page instead of "settings" in itunes?

Itunes 11 has causedl problems with my shuffle:
1) when I plug it in, the screen defaults on the "Settings"page instead of the "on this ipod" page. This is a hassle to have to click away from settings every time I plug it in
2) Also, when I try to erase songs from the ipod, I have to highlight them twice (for some reason the first highlight and delete does not work
). Obviously some kind of bug.
I have other complaints that now you can no longer search for podcasts by date. This update is really several steps back for usability.

I actually use Autofill, but I just tried it to check if what you described happens. It did not.
Are you already on the iTunes window. If you are using another window, you have to click once to put focus on the iTunes window, and click a second time to select the item on the list. But that's probably not what you are describing.
You're not using a "right" click for the first click... Then, you have to do a "left" click to get out ot the contextual menu.
In another program, such as in Mail's email list window (using the Classic layout), does the same thing happen?

AP Check Printing : Position the check at the page's bottom

Hi all,
I'm struggling to build an RTF template for AP check printing.
I have tried Tim's solution and Darshan's approach and can control the number of invoices per page to successfully handle the overflow checks.
The trouble resides on controlling the position of the check which should be printed at the absolute bottom of each page (VOIDED or NOT VOIDED)
Depending on the number of the invoices per page, the table which holds the invoices pushes down (or pulls up) the check along with the MICR value.
Since XMLP check printing is quite common requirement, there might be a successful format out there.
Will appreciate any advise for this issue.

Following your advise, the check is now displayed at the absolute bottom of the page, regardless of the number of invoices per page. I did use your second method, controlling the height of the invoice data row with the same dimension as the filler and the recursive template.
I'm facing another challenge which looks more of a standard AP functionality: For overflow check, i should display the associated voided check on page 1 through page n, then the $amount check on the last page.

invoice 5
