Planning Process Mgmt/Workflow function - Reset Planning Units

We are rolling forward our Planning application for a new budget year. I changed the Budget scenario start and end years, but I cannot recall how to reset the Planning units for Process Mgmt/Workflow. BTW: All the units are currently designated "Under Review", but they were actually finalized last summer. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
You can reset them by taking the same route you did to start them.
Log in as an admin
Select File, then Process Management, then Manage Process.
select a scenario.
select a version.
select the top entity > and choose cycle exclude.
This will reset all process management for the scenario/version combination

  • Distribution Function - To split Planned/Process orders into 10

    Have you used, or tried to use Distribution Function?
    It is assigned to the Production version and we assumed that it would divide the Planned order/Process order by the %  we have in customizing.
    We have created a distribution function DV10 and assigned to our plant. This uses the standard function S30 which has 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 90, 100 in % dur and % cap fields. So you would think the planned/process order would be divided into 10 parts
    Reason u2013 if an order goes over multiple days we want the order to be broken down by day.
    Why? So that Deployment, when looking at an ATP report in R3 for multiple materials in 1 location, by day or period of days,  can see how much will be available each day
    Problem with GLEI (equal distribution) is that if an order starts today at 22:00 then we have equal distribution, we then have 25,000 PAL available today and 25,000 tomorrow, which is not a fair proportion according to the time available. Therefore, we thought that dividing by 10, for example, we would have a more accurate proportion each day

    Hi Mario,
    Thanks for your input. Today we use GLEI which equally splits the same planned or process order into equally daily quantities for ATP purposes. We also have created STRT which drops the Planned/process order quantity onto the first day of the order.
    Regarding daily lot sizes this could be an option but I suppose you would then get individual orders, which the business may prefer not to do.

    weu2019re using PS (Wbs and activities network) to manage Investment Projects.
    In our model planning process is carried out by internal activities and costs activities network throught unit costing; in both types of activities we use equal distribution of planned costs. We would like to know if itu2019s possible planned manual values in our activities network for each period to align planned costs to actual costs in planning version 000. Are there any Bapi or other standard functions to solve this problem?
    We canu2019t use standard forecast tool because, in our model, all network types are defined in customizing with planning flag set.

  • How does the Approvals process work in Oracle Hyperion Planning v 11.1.2

    Hi,
    I have recently upgraded to Oracle Hyperion Planning v 11.1.2 and the way that the application handles budget / Forecast approvals appears to have changed.
    Is anyone able to direct me to a user manual or provide me with some guidance on how to set up the approvals process in the upgrade Oracle Hyperion Planning v 11.1.2.
    Currently I have the approvals hierarchy set to allow all approvals and have the approvals template set to bottom up, I have not put any values on the hierarchy and sub hierarchy tab as I want to drive approvals by entity only. I have set the correct Scenario and assigned the owners/approvers however when I start the approvals process the current owner is let sitting at no owner? Should this not pull though the owner set up under assign owners.
    When I log in as the owner of the planning unit I do get the option to promote the unit as set out in the assign owner hierarchy however when I attempt to do this I get the following error:
    Failed: Unauthorized New Owner
    I am relatively new to planning so any help you can provide me with would be much appreciated.

    My company would like to use the budget process in SAP to keep track of actual vs budget / Panning.
    Can some one provide me the full configuration setup for the budget / planning process ?
    Like creating budget version or plan version, entering of planned values, any need to create additional accts or used of secondary accts ?

    Dear,
    If you are using Funds Management then you can have the budgeting funcitonality at very deep level.
    If you are not using FM then use Internal Order functionality to meet your requirement. Do following to get this done...
    1. Create Order type with category 01. (Tcode - KOT2)
    2. Create Budget Profit and insert this into order type created in step1. (Tcode - OKOB)
    3. Define tolerance for an Internal Order type which is located in SPRO>CONTROLLING>INTERNAL ORDER
    4. Create internal order.
    5. Assgn budget to internal order.

  • GRC PC 10 - Create new plan and configure workflows

    Hello,
    I'm trying to create a new plan (I allready have 2 new plans created) and I want to configure it workflows.
    One is a replica of Self-Assessments and another is a replica of Test of Efectiveness.
    The difference is that their applies to differents certifications and must have differents uses.
    But I don't know where to configure or create the event to assign a role or determine the agent.
    For example, one of the new plans are PERF-AUISO.
    And the second question is, where can I define that my new plan (Self - Assessment) with a survey, don't have any final result? I don't want that the users who response says if it is "Adequate" or "Defficient". I want that only responds a text por a control.

    Hello Claudenir,
    the concept in GRC is not to delete master data but to delimit the validity.
    There is no deletion supported in the standard functionality.

    You requirement will fillfull by the planning Strategy 82 - assembly processing.
    1. It creates production orders directly once the sales order is saved. (because the KMFA req type is assigned to this strategy)
    2. You do not have to run MD50 to create planned orders and then convert to production order for this strategy.
    The setting you need to set :
    1 In material master , MRP 2 view / the planning Strategy  as 82 .

  • An exception occurred during planning process

    Hi All,
    We are working on Opportunity Planning. as part of it we have configured,planning area, planning level, BPS Lay out &  planning profile in BI. This planning profile is assigned to relevant transaction type in CRM 7.0 system.
    We have created opportunity with the transaction type for which we have assigned planning profile. when I select the planning in opportunity, I am getting the below message.
    An exception occurred during planning process
    Can any please let me know why this is happening and help me out in resolving the issue.

    Hi there
    Exchange rates are used for currency conversion rules in queries, data loads, etc.
    You can export exchange rates from R/3 (or other system) to SAP BI, and change them or define your own exchange rates.
    For planning, you can create exchange rates specifically for that purpose.
    In currecny conversion rules you can tell the system which exchange rate to use (for example EURX from EUR->USD)
    To view/mantain exchange rates go to transaction SPRO->SAP Reference IMG->SAP Netweaver->General Settings->Currencies->Enter Exchange Rates

    Check via transaction OB07 (or SPRO - General Settings - Currencies - Check exchange rate types) usually you will find a "M" average exchange rate (which is used operationally everywhere in Logistics) and a "P" planned exchange rate (used for cost planning)
    Exchange rates are maintained via transaction OB08 (or SPRO, same tree - last node - Enter exchange rates)
    When programming, use tables TCUR* or FM of function groups like SCUR "Translation of Currency Amounts etc." (CONVERT_TO_FOREIGN_CURRENCY, CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY and READ_EXCHANGE_RATE among others)

    Recently I have updated my design studio to 1.3 and happy to see many new updates. Meanwhile i saw some new features add planning function and planning sequence.
    As per my understanding, Using this features we can enter data at run time. My query is here
    Is it like we are entering data at run time and see the changes in current data(chart series)
    Ex: Add discount for product 10% and relevant data(in chart) reduced to 10%
    or
    Is it like integrated planning? Once we enter data in run time and it saves in BW planning cube?
    I am totally confused with this feature.. Can any one help me to get clear understanding on this please !

    ORA-14551: cannot perform a DML operation inside a query

    *Cause:    DML operation like insert, update, delete or select-for-update
    cannot be performed inside a query or under a PDML slave.
    *Action:   Ensure that the offending DML operation is not performed or
    use an autonomous transaction to perform the DML operation within
    the query or PDML slave.
    heh... I got this error because its pipelined function. I forget about that ;p

    1. Planning table MF50 is used to create a manual planned order respective date wise inspite of creating in MD11 one by one.
    2. When you assembly backflush in MFBF your component consumption and Activities will get posted automatically GI, GR & Activities will be posted. This component consumption you can see through movement type 261 in MB51. Cost of that consumption and activities you can monitor in Product cost collector. PPC. for that go to KKF6N-select version- Header---- costs.... There you can refer the updated cost of consumption and MHR.
    3. If you to consume additional component without GR that means only GI, goto MFBF and select component backflush and enter the component which you want to consume.
    Hope this will clear all your doubts.
