Planning Sales Target and Budget

Hi Gurus,
Our client is Planning to do Account and Contact Management.How can we plan Oveall Sales Target and budget in BI, What settings have to be done?

thisis theprocess or budget/account planning in crm according to Accounts andContact Management.
1.      Plan overall sales target and budget (BI system)
It is possible for company headquarters to set sales targets at product-brand level, and then to distribute these targets top-down.
This must be set up separately in the BI system.
2.      System receives sales targets (CRM Server)
3.      Plan sales figures and promotions by account (CRM Server)
Planning is driven from past sales as well as from target information. Account planning enables you to do total sales forecasting, and includes discount and rebate planning. In addition, trade promotions that are related to the account plan are displayed.
4.      System receives plan data (BI system)
Account Planner sends planning data to the BI system. The data is therefore available for reporting, and for integration with other planning applications.
5.      System generates pricing conditions (CRM Server)
The system generates pricing conditions from the discounts or rebates that you enter in the account plan.
6.      System receives pricing conditions (SAP ECC)
Account Planner sends pricing conditions to SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC). When a customer orders a product, the system includes the discounts agreed in the account plan in the sales order.

    We didnu2019t go for any other special module of SAP
    The General modules of SAP including
    u2022     SD(Sales & Distribution),
    u2022     MM(Material Management),
    u2022     WM(Warehouse Management),
    u2022     LE (Logistic Execution),
    u2022     FI(Finance), CO(Controlling),
    u2022     FA(Fixed Asset)
    Basic Process Mapping:
    u2022     SO(Sales Order) may create directly or against Qut(Quotation)
    u2022     All SO line item will create the PR (Purchase Requisition)
    u2022     Warehouse does the GR (Goods Receive) against PR indirectly SO.
    u2022     Empty and Laden Container enters to Warehouse as a material received.
    u2022     TO (Transfer Order) of Goods to the Bin Location
    u2022     Creates the Outbound Delivery against GR.
    u2022     Picking of Goods from WH Bin to Deliver Place
    u2022     Packing of Goods to the Container as per Shipment.
    u2022     Outgoing Invoice for collection against Outbound Delivery
    u2022     Incoming Invoice for payment against Shipment Cost.
    Management wants to give one sales target such as...

    and in the end of the year, Management wants to see the see the following report.

    For this I have to store my sales target in any of SAP document, because i have already all the Achieved information in my existing system, because material groups are keeping in the Shipment/Packing phase of the process, So i can easily make the report, but i cant get the Target as I don't have any place to store the same.
    Can anybody help me to proceed?

    good morning to all,
    my client says that on papers our target vs achievement is fixed that is for day wise, week wise,
    month wise and quarterly wise, 6 months wise and finally yearly wise.
    but
    when it comes to practical scenario, if delhi sales are booming like any thing and agra sales are
    falling then the material fixed for sending to agra will be turned to delhi and already delhi's target also
    will be there.
    some experts is saying we cannot have SOP here because we have tentative planning on papers and
    noting is fixed.
    suggest me on this because i am confused because some says that SOP is possible and some
    says that SOP is not possible.
    and also i am expecting better solution for this.

    Hi Folks,
    I new to Hyperion and currently i am learning. If i say end to end implementation of Hyperion Planning and Budgeting application....what does that exactly mean in real time of perspective? I have sales database so please explain me keeping sales database in your mind.

    Sorry, I misunderstood the below:
    what does that exactly mean in real time of perspective^^^ I thought you meant "How long does it take?"
    I don't think a Planning implementation is any different than any other IT project:
    1) Requirements gathering
    2) Tool selection
    3) Development environment install (concurrent with 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8) Install prod whenever 3 works
    4) Design sessions
    5) Design docs
    6) Prototypes
    7) Metadata and data sourcing
    8) Repeat of 4 thorugh 7 as required
    9) Sign-off
    10) Build in prod
    11) UATs/Assembly Test/whatever test
    12) Happy shiny day -- lo, the project is complete
    Lots of other steps but again, is the above any different than anything else? Just specialized skills (business, tool(s)) on the analysis and implementation side.
    As to that:
    Essbase
    Some hint about the way a Chart of Accounts works
    Data sourcing
    Metadata sourcing
    Planning "quirks" knowledge
    Hopefully others will chime in, but I've given you at least a straw man view of it.

    Now after configuring the in the configuration manager I get some errors on starting the client.
    Please help me in understanding what is wrong so that I can fix it.

    In standard, CRM Marketing is integrated with BPS,  you can login the CRM and open the BPS windows in Marketing object screen, fill your cost plan or trade plan or sale plan.
    For WBS elment, you need to activate the configuration in PS mode and middleware between CRM and ERP.
    If you don't need to use PS, maybe you can use Claim in CRM to manage the expense and cost in campaign.

    Hello everyone, hows going ?
    Please, I'd like some tips about the Sales Target Planning at Excel. I did the installation and it works with other functionality (if I try to put any report from C4C it works), but not for the Sales Target Planning.
    I use Windows 7 - 64 bits, MS Excel 2010 and the add-in from C4C.
    Please, take a look the images attached: Print 1 is my Excel status, that still for a long time and nothing happens. Print 2, my Sales Target that is on prepare.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello Surjeet.
    When you're doing the Plan, the best way is do the DOWNLOAD and open in the folder (not directly from the browser). (Maybe is a problem with the browser)
    So go through to the folder that you saved the file (AnalyticalWorkbook) and open. Make sure before, that you have the c4c certificate !
    It works, as you can see the file attached (image 2). To make easy the process of target sales planning, I suggest install the ADD-Ins and the CERTIFICATE.

  • Report Internal Order needed - showing Plan and Budget Values?

    Hello,
    I want to create a report (Report Writer/Painter) which shows for example in one column the planned values and in another column the budget value of an order group.
    I know the standard reports S_ALR_87012993 - Orders: Actual/Plan/Variance and the other standard report S_ALR_87013019 - List: Budget/Actual/Commitments.
    My question: Is it possible at all to have these both values plan and budget by order/order group in one report? - Or it is not possbile because these values are stored in different tables and different libraries?
    If it is possible with Report Writer, I would be very glad - if not, is there any other chance (e.g. individual programmed report)?

    both are report painter reports for libraries 6O1 and 6O2 which are based on reporting tables CCSS and RWCOOM.
    Try to find all value fields that you need in 6O2 / RWCOOM as this is the "big brother" of 6O1/ CCSS.

    when you collect the data based that we have to plan every month how much you want to procure the raw material etc..,
    that should be entered in the material master under "Forecasting" tab there we have to maintain monthly wise forecasting values
    i think it should get some idea if i wrong please clarify

    We plan to implement ECC configurated sales orders and APo DP and block planning.
    We is the preferable process :
    - create the production orders in ECC at time of sales orders creation and run heuristics in apo to cover forecast with planned orders
    - send sales orders in Apo run heuristic and convert planned orders to production orders to cover sales orders?

    is the effective and business advantageous process in which you can get optimised plan output planned through APO.

    Dear All
    Does the Module enterprise planning and budgeting provides controlling functionality similar to encumbrance accounting in GL, or any other control functionality on transactions like Requisition/PO/Invoice  Item Wise...?

    Oracle Hyperion Planning, including PBCS, does not include built in functionality for pre-expenditures (a.k.a. encumbrances) or most other accounting controls you would find in PeopleSoft / Fusion Financials.  However, you can build this type of functionality into your Planning application. 
    For example, you could use the Version dimension in Planning (or create a seperate dimension for this purpose) to contain children members which would hold multiple entry types:
    Version
         + Approved
         + Encumbrances
         + Adjustments
    Version would equal Approved + Encumbrances + Adjustments.  Then you could create a Business Rule to do the following: 1) Approved = Approved + Encumbrances 2) Clear Encumbrances.  You could build the security in Planning to control who can input into "Approved" and who can run the Business Rule.  You could even use the Hyperion Planning workflow capabilities to incorporate work-flow controls into this process. 
    Hyperion Planning, and PBCS, provides the flexibility to build most financial processes and controls, but it is certainly not out-of-the-box functionality.

    Form based budgets are the only supported budgets for Budgetary Control and integration of project budget with GL budget.
    If you are not using those functions, there is no advantage for the form based budget.
    With financial plan you can load budgets using Web ADI.
    You can use more robust resource lists.
    You can use multi currency amounts
    You can generate budgets and forecasts based on various sources like workplans, actuals, commitments and any customized logic using client extension.
    You can report on financial plans using the HTML project performance reporting.
    You can rollup budgets and forecasts amounts on a program.
    Summarizations are done immediately and you don't need to run a batch process.
