'Plant' field now requires input - why is that?
Hello all,
Here is my issue:
when inputing Vendor Invoice (transaction FB60), the system now requires an entry in the 'Plant' field.
I am using a regular P&L account which is also a regular cost element
the context is that some changes are brought in our system - related to other parts of the company.
a few weeks ago OBYC was apparently changed - I do not know if this is related to the issue above.
What do you think could have brought the change in the settging and what do you suggest I do to fix?
I thought the Plant was only for Logistic

Hi,
the field status group in every account master record can be seen using FS00 / Create/bank/interest. Just double-click the field status group and in the possible groups appearing tick "additional account assignments" to see if plant is a required entry for this field status group or not.
Also posting keys are using field status groups, check them (T-code OB41).

I have a document that in Word required a password to open. I copied and pasted it to Pages. Put the password protection on. Now if I click on that filename in Finder it automatically opens.Why. Anyone can read it. How do i protect it again?
You saved it after setting the Password? :
Inspector > Document > Document > Require Password to Open
I just tested it and it shows up ijn The Finder with a padlock on the file icon and does require a password to open.

Upgraded 2 FFv.4. Used 2 type a utility's name in2 url field & it would usually take me 2 that utility's website w/out knowing the url. Now takes me 2 crap search page. Why is that feature gone & how do I get it back?
Typing into url field used to send me to google search, now it's a total crap generic search. wtf? What happened? I pretty much hate v.4 right now and wish I never upgraded :P

The value for field "Plant" in the interface to Financial Accounting is an initial value but you are required to make an entry in the field selection for G/L account "20200000" in company code "1000" linked to the field selection for posting key "70".

I assume that you dint get me. Do you need the field "Plant" in your "G007" group? If you want it make it, then make the field optional in the group.
Please follow the below said giudelines:
Go to OBC4, Select the Field status group G007, Select the Additional account Assignments and then make the field Plant Optional or supressed.

I live in NZ and just downloaded firefox which was successful because this other program i need to download requires firefox3 so when i clicked on this program to download now that i have firefox its not downloading so why is that.
Yes, you need the latest version of Flash to work with Mavericks and Safari 7.x. I'm not sure why you can't view some of the videos on YouTube but not all and I don't know which, YouTube or Safari, is suggesting a 10.xxxx version.
Can you copy and paste the specific URL of a video that you're having problems viewing? Then I could take a look on my end and see if I notice anything funny.

I have the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini and would LOVE to have Firefox Mobile on it. However for now, Firefox is only compatible with the Xperia X10. Why is that and will it be fixed?
This is due to the processor that the X10 mini uses. Firefox mobile requires a processor that supports the ARMv7 architecture, but the processor in the X10 mini supports ARMv6 architecture.
For a time Mozilla were developing a version that worked on processors that use ARMv6, but this has currently been stopped as there were bugs that caused it to constantly crash. Mozilla ''might ''start developing for the ARMv6 processors again but at this time they are not actively working on it. -

Your if statement is a bit off. Try doing it this way instead:
If NumericText ({data.TextColumn}) Then
ToNumber ({outbound_bol_detail.weight})
Else 0;
Also, have a look in File | Report Options and turn on Convert NULL Values to Default. It's possible you may have NULLs in the data that Crystal is having problems with.

Custom Exit Button not working..looks for required input field on screen?
I defined this EXIT button as type E in Menu Painter.
I am using "MODULE At EXIT-COMMAND" in my PAI.
SAP message still asks for the required input field when I select the function EXIT button?
The logic still will not break into the At EXIT-COMMAND of my PAI?

Which is the sense to create a button for exit-command and doesn't allow the exit if the input field is empty?
In SE41 I entered "Back" over the back button, "EXIT" over the exit button, and "CANCEL" over the cancel button.
I selected each one, and got a popup to enter "E" for each type. As I said they appear, but do nothing?
Did I need to set a status for these?
No you don't, it's only important to define a functional having the attribute for EXIT-COMMAND

Why can't I minimize more than 2 notepads in FF? I used to be able to minimize as many notepads as I wanted. When I do research on a topic I keep many notepads open until I am finished. FF must have done an update & now I can't do that anymore. Is there a setting I can change that will enable me to do that again?
Also at that time, the length of sentence I am typing changed.
It doesn't seem to have any limit to how far it can extend to the right.
Please help. I am not very techy & don't understand Computerese.
Please explain in everyday English.

Thank you so much for all your suggestions & helpful links to get help. I am not very computer literate. I have taken many classes over the years I've had a computer but I am still only a beginner.
I want to tell you that I found a solution to my problem. I finally realized that maybe FF was not the problem but Wind. 7 on my new comp. I went on the 7 Forums & found another person who had the same problem & the answer was simple all I had to do was to right click on the Notepad icon & it would bring up a new Notepad & I could open & minimize as many as I want. I had moved the Notepad icon to my taskbar from the Start menu when I got my new computer.
I have one more question for you. The notepad 2 program was mentioned there along with several others. I think it was about that prog. that someone said that it could open many notepads & when you closed the comp. the notepads would not disappear. Do you know if it was that program? Also is it possible to use that program the same way as I used the original Notepad? There are so many technical options on that program that I didn't understand. All I want to do is open the Notepad & copy & paste my notes in it & minimize them. Not losing them if I shut down the comp. would be real benefit to me. I believe that is the same prog. you recommended to me. Since you seem to understand tech things I thought maybe you could tell me if that is possible?

I am unable to access information from the internet as I am unable to install the lastest adobe flash player that is now required. Can you please help?
I fould a hack that makes the sites think you have the latest (Intel) version of Flash installed. So I installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari. Here's the info.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

Double click now required to use survey response buttons - why?
If you click on a response button in a Benchpoint survey, the answer defaults to the first choice on the response list. A Double click is now required to hit the right choice.
This is confusing respondents who have been used to a single click for years.
What re-coding information can you give us?

(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''html5''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click '''html5.parser.enable''' to toggle it to false (it will turn bold).
Then reload the problem survey page and test again.
I think the problem is that there is a label tag around the entire table containing the radio buttons. If you choose View Source, press Ctrl+f, and search for '''<label><table''' you will see what I mean.
To test the effect of removing those label tags, you can copy this bookmarklet and paste it to the address bar on a survey page and press Enter to run it.

It requires a password to restore from it because at some point, you checked the box in iTunes to use encrypted backups, at which point you were prompted for, and set a password.
If you now can't remember what that was, then you can not restore from that backup. -

All apps are tied to the Apple ID that downloaded them.
They can not be transferred to a new Apple ID.
You will have to use the Apple ID and password used to download them.
If you do not wish to do so, erase them and download them under the new ID. This will wipe any data in the app and you will have to pay for them again. -
