Play button showing when publishing to responsive template

I'm having difficulties when previewing and publishing a responsive project.
Initially when I viewed the review/published project the first slide was blank and I had to use the TOC to navigate to the first page. I searched for a resolution and found a support document stating that auto play should be turned off when publishing a project in html5. I unchecked the auto play box in publish settings and the project now starts at the first slide. The issue now is that the play button displays throughout the course. Does anyone know how to remove this/change the settings? I've used Captivate 5.5 and 6 in the past and the play button has been hidden on click. Another issue is that the hand cursor doesn't appear when I hover over the button and it needs to be clicked twice before the project will start.
Here is an example...This is the first page but when I click the button it still appears on every slide of the project.

I see the Helvetica problem on the menu
The birth card looks nice in italic, but I am sure that's not what you had intended.
Can you see whether this particular font is already in the Font Book. There might be a clash of fonts here ... Font Book and FontExplorer. Restart you Mac and see if the problem persists. But save your site first.
There is no need to re-install iWeb. This is a font issue.

Report works fine in VS2010 but simply doesn't show when published

Problem:
Crystal Report works fine in VS 2010 but doesn't show when published to web-server, there is no error, it simply doesn't show.
Background:
Installed VS2010 on a freshly installed and fully updated (.net 4.0 is included in the updates) windows server 2003 box with production release Crystal Report 2010. Nothing else is on the server. IIS 6 is running. My web-server and VS2010 is on the same box.
I went ahead and created a new asp.net 4.0 web project called webapplication1. Thereafter, i put a few controls (text-boxes, list-boxes and so on) on the default.aspx page. Then i created a report.aspx page. This page will have the crystal report viewer on it. I went ahead and set the report up without much hassle (got how-to's from the internet). I successfully tested my web app with the built-in testing server, the beautiful crystal report presented exactly what i asked it to. There was one recurring "Sys.Application is null or not an object" hiccup that occured every time during testing when i navigated from the default.aspx page to the report.aspx page (the page the report is on). Clicking ignore or continue on the dialogue box that comes up because of the hiccup will allow testing to continue. Here's a screen-shot of this recurring hiccup.

As i've shown, testing went great, except for the hiccup. I now moved to setup a publish profile. Since my web-server and VS2010 is on the same box this seemed relatively straight forward. All the files went over except the report, i.e. crystalreport1.rpt file. I solved this by setting the build action to 'Content' in the CrystalReport1.rpt properties. I did a republish. I proceeded to try to browse to my app from another computer on my network. This was successful until i tried to navigate to the report.aspx page that the crystal report is on. The the report.aspx page loaded but the crystal report was simply not on it. No errors, not even the hiccup from testing occured. Its as if the crystal report viewer was never on the page to begin with. Only when i right clicked on the page and 'view source' did i see some remnants of the crystal report viewer.

Details of adding report to my web app:
1) Populate my dataset then write the XML schema, reportschema.xml
2) Added the crystal Report to the project then used the wizard to navigate to the reportschema.xml. Of course i had to create new connection in Database expert. see screen-shot:

3) I formatted the report the way i wanted it
4) Added the Crystal report viewer on the Report.aspx page
5) In the code-behind of the Report.aspx page i bound the viewer to a report document that is loaded with CrystalReport1.rpt file

That's it. As mentioned, it tested fine in VS2010 but the viewer doesn't show when i publish to the webserver. I wrote a crystal report in .net about 8 years ago. Things have changed soooo much since then.
I am wondering if its a license issue? Was also wondering if it had anything to do the testing hiccup, even though research is suggestion the two are unrelated.
I've described my actions as best as i could (without getting into ridiculous detail) and have included screen-shots of relevant stages of the process. Have a look and tell me your thoughts. Thanks.

The "Sys.Application is null or not an object" issue is known, submitted for a resolution and documented in KB #1528503. Unfortunately the KB search has been down the last couple of days...
However, the issue is limited to compile time and does not affect a completed application.
Re. the viewer missing. Sounds like the viewer directory did not get created or configure correctly. Before I get to that. You mention:
"I proceeded to try to browse to my app from another computer on my network."
This bring up the question: If you run the app right on the app server. e.g.; not a client computer, does the viewer and report come up? Is this issue isolated to client computers on the network?
I suspect that the issue exists irrespective of which computer you try to see the report from - but that is an assumption. If the assumption is correct, see [this|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/50aa68c0-82dd-2b10-42bf-e5502b45cd3a] article on configuring the viewer. The article does not have CR4VS2010 documented, but you should be able to guide your self using the article. I think the pattern will be obvious.

How do I get my code changes to show when published in Business Catalyst?

I have created my website using !Adobe Muse and have used the Ecwid ecomm widget to integrate a shop. As I wasn't happy with the font, colour, etc, I changed the code using the edit 'html' function, accessing the code information from a design browser mode and then further on in the process, I published it to Business Catalyst. However, now the changes don't show. How do I get my code changes to show when published in Business Catalyst? Do I need to go through the same process using Business Catalyst?

Captivate 7 Screen Captures (scrolling) not showing when published in HTML5

I am using Captivate 7 and when I publish in HTML5 my screen captures (of the screen scrolling) do not show -- I get a blank screen for a couple of seconds --, even though they show when I preview for the Web in HTML5. They also show when I play them locally, but not from my server. I was using Internet Explorer 9. This morning I tried 10 & 11 with the same results. It works fine in Chrome and on a Mac with Safari. I do not have my iPad with me today, but I tried it this weekend and had the same problem, though I just updated my OS, so I will try again. If it does not work well on an iPad then I might as well output as FLASH. I will try my iPad again tonight and report back tomorrow. Thanks.

Assignments not showing when published....

I've created a course in course manager, and have included a post with assignments, but the assignments aren't appearing in iTunes U when published public. What am I doing wrong?

Try the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
3 - reboot.
4 - launch iWeb.
5 - delete the movie from the page and save.
6 - add the movie again and publish again.
If your page design is such that you may need to edit and republish it several times again there are other methods of adding a movie to a page that requires you to manually upload the movie file to the server ONLY once and link to it in your page. If this might be of interest to you then let me know and I'll link you to examples. These methods only load the movie when the Play button is selected allowing the page itself to load much faster.

Why do show/hide buttons show when PDF is opened?

I've created an interactive PDF with a series of show/hide buttons with rollover actions. When I export and open the PDF, some of the target buttons show up. If I mouseover, they correct themselves and go to their correct hidden state until I mouseover. Is this a bug and is there any way to keep them hidden from the start? Note that the target buttons overlap some, and I'm wondering if that is part of the problem so I'll test that, although not having them overlap isn't a viable solution.

Thanks for the response. Hidden until triggered was checked. I rebuilt the buttons and they seem to work fine now. It seems like InDesign is very finicky about the order of operations.

RoboHelp HTML 9.0.1 - My images are not showing when published

Hi all,
We have just upgraded from RH5 to RH9. We are using IE9. All of our projects transferred over just fine - except for one. We are able to publish this topic; however, the images within the topics are not being displayed when we publish - we get the dreaded red 'x'. We can see the images when viewing the topics in RH. However, they are not listed in the images folder in the Project Manager. The images can be seen using Quick view and Internet view. However, they cannot be seen when we generate a Word document.
Every other project is functioning properly. We can publish everything else just fine. This one project is our oldest project, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Any guidance or direction will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help. I did attach one of my images as a baggage file, and low and behold, the image appeared in my topic after publishing (I'm sorry I thought you were both nuts). I just hope there is something I can do short of attach over 6500 images as baggage files.

Attachment not showing when publish

I have no problems so far with adding attachment to comment, but lately no more attachment are shown in my new comments.
Is my blog/disc size the source of the problem?

I'm experiencing the same problem so thought I'd jump in on this thread.
I keep getting this text in problem emails:
"This message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program.
multipart/mixed"
When viewing Raw Source I didn't see a header, nor was there a Load Images button on the top right.
It is very frustrating. I can access the attachments if I use the web interface, but the whole point of setting up Mail.app to handle my Gmail IMAP account is to do away with having to make specific trips to the Gmail web interface.
Any advice?

View output button disabled when publishing to pdf

I am using Captivate 4 and must publish all my Captivate files to pdf for distribution throughout my organisation. I have two issues:
1) After publishing to pdf, the View Output button is disabled, and I get the message you must have Adobe Reader 9 or better installed to view
I have Adobe Reader XI installed
I am able to open the pdf from my desktop
I saw elsewhere to try unticking the Zip files output option. Zip files and all other output options are unticked
I have tried publishing using Flash Player 7 (the earliest version available in the Flash Player Version menu) with same result
So the question is, is there some setting I am missing to enable the view output button, or another solution?
2) This wouldn't really be a problem, except some users with Adobe 9 installed are reporting they cannot open the pdfs from their desktop. I thought I would try publishing so that output is compatible with earlier versions of Adobe Reader but can't figure out how to do that.
So, is there some way to publish to be compatible with Adobe Reader 8 or earlier? Also, many users are accessing videos through a terminal server - could that be the problem?

You aren't printing the PDF. You're printing the spool because the user ID has the print immediately field selected and the GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS picks up that setting. You simply need to blank out the value of TDIMMED in your l_print_parameters
structure...

Problem Blog Manager in sitebuilder invisible but show when published

I have a Yola website. When in my sitebuilder on a Blog page and want to edit my post in my Blog Manager I cannot see the actual post (text or images) most of the time. Sometimes they appear on start up, but if I come out and go back in it disappears again. So I cannot see the text to know where I can place my cursor to do any editing. NOTE: I CAN see and edit the same blogs with no trouble in Internet Explorer 8 though. Very strange. I have checked and rechecked to make sure I don't have bad code or text copied from Word... I try to always use Notepad for any copy and paste text. ect. Hope you can help. Blessings, Jan.

I am guessing two things:
1. You created the folio and uploaded to id [email protected] Then you shared with [email protected]
What is the Title id mentioned in DPS App builder. If it's [email protected], it will not work.
2. Do you have multiple folios with the same product id.

Captions w/Transparent Background Don't Show when Published

HELP! I've put together two captivates that on some slides
contain text on which I chose transparent background. They are not
showing up at all! I'm working in v3. Has anyone else come across
this?

GeekygURL, thanks for the suggestions. I double checked all
of this once you outlined it... The text is black, on white part of
the background of the movie. There is nothing else layered even
anywhere close. and the timing is that it's due to show up with no
delay, and show for the remainder of the slide.
I've developed quite a few flash animations with Captivate,
even with the quiz functionality... I'm generally quite technically
savvy and this is just leaving me baffeled. Anything else you might
suggest?
Oh, just to add... this is only with captions with the
transparent background... the others are all showing and timing
correctly. :(

How Can I Get The iPad To Auto-Play My Movie When Selected?

When selecting a movie from the shared tab on my iPad it shows my the splash screen with the cover art on the right and on the left I have a movie summary along with cast. The top of the left pane it has the chapters or the play button. When I select the play button I would like it to start playing the movie. What it does is the screen goes black and thats it.
If I tap the black screen I get the video controller pop up and then I have to select the play button again to get the movie to play.
I was pretty sure that before the movie would play after selecting play from the initial movie splash screen.

You must restore the iPad with iTunes.

QT movie play button doesn't work??? Help please...

I'm using iweb08 and publishing with easy iweb publisher. One of the pages has a QT movie (720x 480) that ONLY plays the movie when I double click on it. It does not play when I hit the Play button >
But when I upload a smaller version of the same QT at 320x240 it works fine without having to double click. Can it not handle the larger movie? I would had to upload the smaller size because it is too small. Please help and thanks to anyone who responds.

Where is the play button to start my video playlist?

There used to be a "play" button that when pressed, would play consecutively all videos in that playlist, but now it's gone in ios 7 and I can only play one video. Then I have to press play on the next video, when the first one is done. Anyone have a suggestion?

Play Button Error

Sometimes even though the ipod application is not running, the play button shows up on the main task bar before the battery indicator. But the songs doesnt run and i have to open the ipod application go to now playing then, it shows the pause button i have to click it and again click to make the play button go away.. Could anyone please help me with this.
