Play FLV and stop all other webpage sounds

I have a website that has two flash items on it. I have a swf that calls mp3s that plays on the page load, and I have a FLV that plays on page load.
What I would like to happen is:
on page load
the FLV plays
when the FLV Finishes
the swf starts to play the mp3s.
What already happens is that the pages load in _blank pages so they are in new windows.
This is good because while you navigate the site, the music from the homepage is still cycling through the swf's mp3 playlist.
The problem comes in when you navigate back to the homepage from a new window, and the homepage is still open within the first window.
That means that the video plays over, while the music is playing, and the music doubles up.
Now the video playing isn't bad, it's that music is doubling up. Can't it sense itself playing a 2nd instance of itself on another webpage and stop it?
Need big help here. Career is on the line!

you can explicitly stop each sound that you want to stop or if you want to stop all sounds you can use:
stopAllSounds(); // as2
or
SoundMixer.stopAll(); // as3

You can disable the Adobe Reader plugin in Firefox (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) and use the external Adobe Reader application or Preview application instead.

Set iPad to only scroll through a limit amount of pictures and disable all other apps

Hi there, is it possible to setup an iPad to only allow users to scroll through 3 or 4 pages, and have all other features disabled? This will be for a customer display so that people can only view these 3 or 4 pictures and not to be able to use the iPad for any other purpose, i.e access the internet, to tie down the iPad, so to speak. You can currently have the 'picture frame' icon on the slide to unlock screen via Settings > General > Passcode Lock > Picture Frame 'on', and you can limit which of your photo albums show in that via Settings > Picture Frame. Though you can't stop people trying to exit the picture frame and trying to enter the passcode.
With iOS 6 later today there will be new accessibility functions which might help (from here) :
It allows a parent, teacher, or administrator to limit an iOS device to one app by disabling the Home button, as well as restrict touch input on certain areas of the screen.

I would suggest you to uninstall Adobe Reader using the cleaner tool and then re-install the latest version.

RemoveChild and Stop all Animation/Sound plz help!!

Hey hope someone can help me out with this, been stuck on this for a while now and tried a number of different way but no luck so far.
Im trying to removechild and at the same time stop all the on going animation and sound, in a way reset them so that if this child is added again it plays like it did the first time.
I've tried these scripts but non work, either i get an error or the sound doesnt stop and the animations stack:

If all are done in script things are easier but I assume you're using timeline MovieClips. Generally speaking, stop() stops the timeline and removeChild() removes a DisplayObject (such as MovieClip) from a DisplayObjectContainer (such as Sprite and MovieClip). As for the sound, if you manage it by script it's easy to stop a sound with SoundChannel.stop(), but if your sound is on the timeline you have not much control. Either SoundMixer.stopAll() (but this stops ALL the sounds) or set SoundTransform volume to 0.

HT2510 having issues with Garage Band stating disc too slow...i have stopped ALL other apps, restarted and still having same issue....Please help!

i have not been able to replay older Garage Band productions I have done. I got one to play and then when I edited and saved said did i want to save to newer version. I said ok...But getting repeated error that disc too slow and then starts playing in timeline but no audio then says Garage Band not responding.

Just some thoughts: You have an older Mac, so that could be part of the problem. You may have processes running in the background, or perhaps your disk is too full. Look in the Apple Knowlege Base for things like Startup Items, Launch Daemons, etc and see if you have any that you can get rid of. Also check your HD available space. If it's too full, your files are probably fragmented and spread all over the disk, which might make it respond too slowly.

In firefox 21 using flash-player to play music and then opening other one (for example in deviantart picture suffle) mutes the music instantly.

I switched to Firefox 21 and did the usual run to see if there are clinches, one came in the first run: using flashplayer in youtube to listen music and then opening other flash (in this case Deviantarts picture shuffle) mutes the music instantly and the only way to start the sound is reloading.
This didn't appear in 20, so there's one where 21 is weaker.

I have the exact same issue. Reboot is not helping.
Trouble is, I had it working properly in my other Arch install. I have tried ncmpc and Sonata and gmpc, they all start to play the song - I even see the CD covers (for the songs that I have CD covers for) -- but only for a split second and thenit stops.
I don't think alsa is an issue, because cplay plays all songs without a hitch.
I was hoping for a solution - but all I found was this thread and unfortunately Varreon doesn't know what he/she did to get it to work.
Could you maybe retrace your steps - if you remember them ?
EDIT : This is my mpd.error file. Having a look at it, it does seem that mpd is not recognizing mpdvol

Stop all other audio

I have 3 buttons in my scene. Each one has audio that is 6
seconds long. When I go from one to the other I want the other 2 to
stop playing. I tried a Stop All Sounds from the Behavior Panel,
but that also stopped the sound of the button that was being
clicked. Can anyone help me out here?

I don't think what you're trying to do is possible with
Behaviors. You're probably going to have to create some
ActionScript to start and stop the sounds for each button. I don't
know of a way to stop an embedded sound on a timeline. But if you
load the sound and start it with AS, then you can stop it from a
function in the main timeline, thus letting you cleanly stop just
the sounds you want.

My rented Video only plays halfway and stops

Whell, it seems there is an error in your song that makes your iPod think the song is over. I`ve had such problems, and the only way to solve this is by downloading the song again, or re-record it. I do this with the KMPlayer, which is a free software, you just have to click capture, and audio.

Yes, I've done this. Even signed in and out and went through and disconnected and reconnected all related devices. All other video works over air play, but still comes up with apptv not authorized to play this content for this one video.

Make sure you are using the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
A suggestion:
Go to YouTube, open any video and press pause (don't do this while video is playing).
Click the ctrl key or “right click” the mouse in the middle of the video window. The settings for flash player will pop up.
Select the video settings then select "enable hardware acceleration."
Press close.
Now RESTART YOUR COMPUTER not just Safari if that is your browser of choice.

[Solved]Connection of my Arch PC via Ethernet stop all other connect

Hi all,
This is weird! I updated my arch pc today, and I realised that all other connection to the router (a UK skybox) stop.
Per example, if my Android phone is connected before the PC starts - the connection to the router remain live, but while trying to access a web page I have a you are offline page. If the phone isn't connected before the pc is started then the phone simply refuse to connect to the router!
Looking at the logs from the skybox no update was done recently - and booting the PC onto windows and it all work normally.
I am connected via ethernet with a local static IP.
I have no idea where to look, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Touch volume freezing and preventing all other keystroke commands from working

Hello
I have an HP pavilion DV4-1514 laptop running windows 7 64 bit. The touch volume control gets stuck all the way at zero and continues to display on the screen. The main problem is when this is displayed it prevents all other computer functions from working. You cant click on any other windows or start any programs because the touch screen keeps displaying front and center. How do i disable the touch volume

You could try reloading your Audio driver (6.10.6225.0 A):

Now, if that doesn't kick that driver, there are ways to force it a bit. You can get to it from the Device Manager.
