Play reverse and continue from a point

Hi guys,
I have and element and what I'm trying to do when I click on this element, it starts to play reverse the timeline for 1 sec and after that it continues to playing the timeline from an other point. How can I do this?

You should set a trigger at your jump point and then look into testing for the sym.isPlayDirectionReverse() API. So, something like:

var playReverse= sym.isPlayDirectionReverse();

When I run the VST_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc from each project the audio and the video are clean and match.
When I run the edited Premiere Elements file that were created after project 34 edited Premiere Elements file project 35, 36, 37 etc. I am getting the audio from project 34
When I run the edited Premiere Elements file that were created before project 34 edited Premiere Elements file project 1, 2, all the way to 33. I am getting the correct audio

I did find an error log related to the error code and tried all suggestions on the list of recommendations, still no luck
I definitely am running OS X10.5.8 (hopefully will be updating later on this month)
I tried several brand new discs from the same box, still no luck.
My last option is to go out and try a different brand, guess I'll go with Verbatim this time but I think I'll poke around some more before buying 20 more new discs.

If you would like to add the music from your external hard drive to iTunes without copying it to the iTunes Library on your internal hard drive, you may find the following article helpful:
Add files to your library without adding them to your iTunes folder
When you add an item already on your computer to your iTunes library, iTunes places a copy of the file in your iTunes folder. The original file remains in its current location.
You can change this setting so that files are added to your iTunes library without being added to the iTunes folder. You might want to do this, for example, if you prefer to store video files on an external disk but still want to view them in iTunes.
Choose iTunes > Preferences, and click Advanced.
Deselect the checkbox next to “Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library.”
From now on, when you drag a file to your library or choose File > Add to Library, the item appears in iTunes, but the actual file isn’t copied or moved.
Tip: You can temporarily reverse this setting by holding down the Option key while you drag files to the iTunes window.

How to play iTunes and music from external hard drive?

I recently back up all my music from my old computer on to an external hard drive. I have a new computer but don't want to store all the music on the computer's hard drive. I would rather play iTunes and all the music straight off of the hard drive. How do I do this?
I already downloaded and installed iTunes on my external hard drive and my music is on a separate folder. When I open iTunes it says that I have no music in the library. How do I tell iTunes to use all the music from the external hard drive? I do not want to save anything on my computer's internal hard drive if possible because I do not have enough space.

HT3180 When trying to play itunes and slideshows from my Mac book to Apple TV the small icon on the bottom right of the screen which switches between Computer and Apple TV doesn't always show up, and therefore the function doesn't work. What's up?

Airplay is a wireless streaming protocol. It allows content to be pushed from the iPad through the Apple TV onto your connected HDTV.

Can you play apps and videos from iCloud

If I use iCloud can I stream Videos or play apps from iCloud?
Have to just say it really ***** not to be able to expand storage on the next Gen iPad! I have no room for "7", not that important at the moment, but will be when things require me to have it, and I need to make room for 4GB. That is a lot of Removal and it is all stuff our child uses, which is our big problem!

Sorry, no you cannot stream from iCloud.
Also note that your apps are NOT in your iCloud space. yes, they are "in the cloud" in the sense they are online on Apple's servers, but those are the servers for the Apple iTunes and App stores, not your personal iCloud account. So your apps are the same copy of those apps that are stored for anyone and everyone, both current and future purchasers since it is just the copy that Apple has in its storefront. Your iTunes or App store account record with Apple simply has a flag in it that says you've already paid for it so can re-download it.

Since there is not a manually manage your music setting you can't do it at this time. This is primarily a user-to-user forum so no one here has any information on future updates and Apple normally does not pre-announce them.

Populate start_node_id and end_node_id from existing points

I am relatively new to networks and I have something that I would think would be simple. I have street centerlines and I have a separate table that has all of the intersections with an ID. my question is how do I populate the start_node_id and end_node_id fields with the appropriate ID.

Some ideas off the top of my head.
Does your road centreline table have any items like FROM_NODE, TO_NODE which are acting as foreign keys back to your intersection table? (Sometimes data comes from ArcInfo coverages where these fields are used to tie the arcs to the nodes. I have seen some road centreline data with attributes similar to these even when they have not come from ArcInfo.)
If so, use them.
If not, then you will have to use spatial processing to make an association.
The ways to do this are many. For example, Oracle Spatial's LRS functions are able to project a point onto a geometric segment. The geometric segment has direction so that you can use the returned measure information to tell you if the point is near the start or end of a segment.
If this is not available or you don't have an LRS set up, you can use the SDO_LRS.CONVERT_TO_LRS_GEOM (using 0 for start_measure and sdo_geom.sdo_length() for end_measure) with an SDO_NN search based on each point object to try and automate the linking of the intersections to the road centrelines.
If not any of this, you could write some pl/sql to extract the start and end vertex of each road centreline and find the nearest intersection point (SDO_NN) to each inserting the result into the network link table...

Lost all my sound when playing movies and shows from internet

i seemed to have lost all sound when playing movies from internet. i still have "system" sounds and beeps?

The speaker is not that good but maybe yours is defective if you have the volume fully raised.
- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted and have a poor contact.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Check also Settings > General > Accessibility > Hearing. Make sure that the sound balance is not set all the way to "R" or "R".
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem.

RMAN Restore - continue from a failed point?

I realized that, I had given an incorrect location for the logfile. The database is restored, control file created, while opening the db I see this error. Is it possible to continue with the clone using rman without having to restart the whole clone. I know it can be done manually using create control file and manually applying the archives. However, Is there a way to continue the clone in rman by specifying the correct location for the logfile?

The directory name was incorrect. I corrected it and re-ran the script. But it started the clone right from the scratch....Instead of continuing from the point it failed..
Did you use LOG_FILE_NAME_CONVERT (possibly
incorrectly)? Is that directory name correct? You
have data02 and data03 beneath it?

Playing slideshow on tv from ipad cutting off picture

I am connecting my ipad 2 to my TV with a RocketFish Composite adapter and trying to play a video slideshow on my TV. I am able to play the video/slideshow just fine, however both the top and bottom of the videos (and pictures) are being cut off by several inches. When played directly on my iPad the size is fine ( no cut offs). The videos were converted to Ipad compatable (.m4v) using Aimersoft Video Converter and the iPad presets. The resolutions of the videos are 720 x 480. The TV I am connecting to is 1080P LED TV. I have tried different aspect ratios in the TV's settings but there are not much to choose from and each setting changes the size of the video a little, but the amount being cut off from the top and bottom is consistent. What can i do to correct this problem. Also, I need this slideshow for a trade show I am in tomorrow afternoon, so a quick response would help a lot.
Another thing... In my research so far, I found that iPad 2 can mirror its display (meaning what you see on the iPad you see on the TV) onto the TV. But I cannot seem to get that to work either. I can only play videos and slideshows from the apps that allow you to. How do I go about mirroring my display to my TV? Does it only work with a HDMI connection?

What adapter are you using? I have the Digital AV Adapter that connects to the HDMI input of a small Vizio HDTV. It seems to work OK, and has stereo sound. My only problem has been the weight of the HDMI cable pulling the adapter out of the iPad.
Apple also sells VGA, Component and Composite adapters. I also have the VGA adapter which works on the HDTV and one LCD monitor. However it doesn't work on a couple of older monitors I tried. Also VGA is video only. You would need to run a separate cable for sound on the TV.

Files don't play smoothly when exporting from Final Cut Pro

Hello,
I have this strange problem that's haunting me for weeks (well months now)...
I've made some videos, shot with a HD-camera (Sony, HDV HDR-FX1E (PAL)), 1080i), and I want to export it to the apple TV.
The problem is that the videos on the appleTV dont't run smoothly, they don't really stutter, but they do have a problem, like they're missing a frame...
Now, I don't know what it is, but I tried everything.
I've tried all different settings in
- Compression, like progressive, deinterlacing, keeping the interlacing, changing it to lower field, changing the framerate to 24 fps (as I read somewhere in another post as that 25 fps would be the problem).
- MPEG Streamclip
- ffMPEG
- Visualhub
Well, I even tried it on a PC...
But all with the same result.
Then I tried it to convert the to DV (through the camera). But all with the same result.
So I thought it could be on my footage, but my originals are fine. When playing on my TV they play smoothly, even the edited ones.
When exporting the same edited files to DVD, the DVD plays fine without a hitch, but you can see a downgrade in quality...
The standard conversion settings where:
1280x720 (PAL) @ 25fps, 3 kbs (I started higher, but i downgraded), and then I tried all the above settings...
I also lowered the dimensions, but that didn't work either.
Then I dit a few tests with Handbrake and converted a (home-)DVD and, as to my surprise, I had the same problem!
BUT! The apple TV plays trailers and movies from the store without any problems...
TV is set to 1080i (Sony). But I also tried 720p, 576i, 576p, all with the same effect...
On the tv side... The files are not streamed. They are played directly from the hard disk.
Even though, streamed or directly, the problem stays the same...
I'm really desperate.

Been trying something else in the meantime...
On a Plextor MediaX, the files play fine and perfect, either in MPEG2 HD (ts), or Xvid HD (avi), on the same TV as the appleTV.
I've encoded them through Xilisofts video-converter (PC) and ffmpeg (Mac).
But still no luck with appleTV and the h264 encodings... The stuttering there remains
Could anyone give me the right settings for PAL and HD? Can I use 25fps?
(Well, the usual settings in Compressor doesn't seem to work, so if anybody has some more advise?)
Or could there be something wrong with my appleTV?
My rentals play fine? I don't understand it...
