Playback of all song sections

How can I get the playback to play a full arrangement (all sections a-b-a-c-a)
without having to manually switch the header to the next section. I am pretty sure I missed something because if this thing cannot play a full arrangement it becomes useless.

Try the Song Section controls:
See: Extend a song with song sections
Extend a region across multiple sections:
Open the song section controls, then tap All Sections.
Tap anywhere in Tracks view to close the song section controls.
Move, resize, or loop the region to extend across multiple sections. You can also record a new region across multiple sections.

  • Any new technology for volume adjustment so all songs sound the same?

    It's the age old question about volume adjustment and playback - when all songs sound different. And we all know the sound check feature doesn't work that well - especially when you have songs in different bit rates. I play my iPod over a very large sound system and the differences in volume are shocking.
    It doesn't look like anything works, after all these years. Someone recommended putting ALL the songs up to 100% in the volume adjustment ... but that can't possibly work, can it?
    Have there been ANY improvements in sound adjustment??? Or am I still stuck adjusting each song myself?

    Are you speaking from experience? From what I've seen, it's 30 bucks ... with mixed reviews. I use the iPod for broadcasting over a large sound system - maybe it's not the way to go (as some have recommended NOT using iPods to broadcast over public places) - but is there ANY foolproof method? If iVolume does, indeed, work ..... I have no problem shelling out $30 for it. Or is the human ear still the way to go??? (I currently, painstakingly, adjust each song - one by one!)

  • How can I download an entire CD with all songs in order.  ITUNES chops up the CD and groups the songs into separate sections.  why??

    The new site is horrible.  I want to download a complete CD with all songs listed in their album order.  Instead, ITUNES creates multiple albums, each containing a few songs.  I want the entire album with all songs grouped together.  When I tried to creat a new album with all of these songs in order the site only lets me list 17 out of the 26 songs.  I am blocked from adding the rest of the songs.  The old site was so easy to use.  I want a list of all albums with the respective songs listed.  I can't get rid of the large album icons which are not helpful.

    Is the CD  a compilation? If so, make sure that all tracks are shown as part of a compilation. Also add "Various Artist" to album artist field.
    If the CD by a individual artist but has tracks that feature other artists, add main artists name to album artist field.

  • HT1751 I successfully captured a recent itunes library, but then all the songs have "!" marks next to them and won't play. I have thousands of songs in multi folders of my external hard drive, surely there is a way to auto locate all songs on my hard driv

    My desktop PC recently crashed and I'm trying to recapture all of my iTunes library playlist and songs. I was able to successfully capture the library, however when I tried to play a song, all have the exclamation mark "!" on them and ask that I locate the song. I successfully located some, but there has to be an automatic way to do this, rather than finding each one. I have thousands of songs located in multiple folders of my exteernal hard drive and need a way to find all songs automatically. Can someone help? Thanks!

    This "original file cannot be found" thing happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
    Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
    Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

  • How can I delete all songs from iCloud library?

    Hi,
    I have a strange issue and couldn't really find any information about this on Google, so I thought I would try here. I'm kind of surprised this hasn't come up for other users yet (or maybe it has and I'm just missing it.)
    I matched my iTunes library yesterday. About 60% of the songs were matched, 15% were uploaded and 25% were errored. I really like iTunes Match but I decided that I want to micromanage the library to get the best match results. To do this, I wanted to do the following:
    1. Remove all songs from my iCloud library
    2. Create a new iTunes library for use with iTunes
    3. Add to the library, artist by artist to match/correct.
    I began to do this in my new library and it was working fine. However I then decided to completely clear the old library, so I went into my original library, deleted all songs and definitely selected the option to delete from iCloud. I am 100% positive I did this. However, none of the songs deleted. They are not available in my original library (I have checked the option to display songs not on this computer) and they don't show up in my other library, either. I have no option to download the songs from iTunes on any computer, though I retain access from my iPhone.
    So, I need to delete these songs from iCloud. It does me no good to have them there when they're so disorganized and especially when I can't access them from most of my iTunes enabled devices. I was thinking of calling Apple to see if they could clear my iCloud library but a. I'm not sure they will and b. I don't want to pay $29 to discuss this with them, as I feel it is an issue with iTunes Match/iCloud and should be complimentary.
    I thought that maybe the songs would delete over time, since I know the iCloud servers are heavily taxed at the moment. However, it has been about 15 hours and there is absolutely no change. The iMatch section of iTunes shows that there are songs available, but none of them are; and since my plan is to reupload to iCloud anyway, that's fine--I just need to find out how to actually make the delete go through.

    I called Apple and spoke with a customer service representative regarding this issue. I was given the two things to try, and if they don't work, I was told I can call back in:
    1. Go to iCloud.com and look at the advanced options. Since Photos can be deleted here, the representative thought there may be an option to remove songs here as well.
    2. Go into the library that has the songs that were deleted and click Update iTunes match.
    I tried #1--this didn't resolve the issue, as there is no option to remove songs this way. I can't try #2 right now since I'm at work, but if anybody else with this issue can try that step it can help us get the ball rolling on it. After I try that, I'll call Apple back to discuss this further.

    Go to appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID and sign in, select the Name, ID and Email Addresses section, then click Edit next to her name to the right and change as necessary.
    If she is using iCloud email and needs to change her sender name on an iOS device, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap iCloud under Accounts, tap your iCloud account at the top of the next screen, tap Mail at the bottom of the next screen, then enter the name you want to use in the Name field at the top.  Also go to icloud.com, sign into her account, open Mail, click the gear shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, go to the Accounts tab and enter the name she wants to use in the Full Name field and click Done.

  • ITunes Music art stays the same for all songs

    This just happened after the update before the most recent one. When I play my iTunes music through the ATV, the artwork in the big screen for Now Playing screen does not update. It shows one album for all songs. As shown below. All songs have the Rolling Stones artwork.  I did a complete reset to factory settings a month ago and that fixed it, but now it is happening again.
    The weird part is when I go to the home screen, I see the correct artwork - ACDC up in the left corner under the Now Playing window. It is only when it is expanded is when I have the problem.

    That's what iTunes -> Preferences -> Playback -> Sound Check does - equalizes the volume across tracks to provide a more-even playback.

  • Not Burning all Songs

    I'm making a couple of CDs with the same songs on them and when I burn the CD all seems good. They all show up in iTunes as being on the CD. But when I get in my car, only four of the 16 songs play. I tried a differant CD player and only four played but when I put the CD in my Mac, all songs show up. I haven't gone over the limit (usually I get a message when I burn four CDs). I like to have them for my car and office. I've never had this happened before. Thanks.

    This article in the Apple Knowledge Base describes how to move your iTunes Library to a different location.
    The best thing to do ... if possible ... would be to go back to your original set-up and then follow those instructions. It's success will depend on whether you still have the original iTunes Library files .
    If that's not possible, you can follow the instructions in the Add to Library section of this KB article . iTunes will recognize the files on your external drive but will not maintain any of your playlists or related information.

    Hiya, does anyone know how to stop my podcasts appearing in my songs section also? They used not do this but then a while ago (maybe after an update?) they started to appear. I mainly use shuffle, so is a bit of a pain when a podcast kicks in.

    In iTunes 5, when you click on library, you have some 'radio' buttons across the top, just above the column titles . . . they are: All, Music, Audiobooks, Podcasts, Videos, Booklets . . .
    When "All" is selected, you get it all. What you need to do is select "Music" and you'll see JUST your music. IMHO, it's much easier to see what you want with this method of keeping the library.

    Yes, CTRL-click on one of them, but why? Unchecked songs will usually be excluded from any device you sync with and will also be skipped during normal playback. If you're using the first effect to control what goes on your device, and "living with" the second then why not switch to using playlist selections for the device. Otherwise one inadvertent CTRL-click on a checkbox will undo all your selections.

    Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a number of days.
    Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
    If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

  • No playback or truncated songs

    This happens too frequently, always with imported music from CD.
    1. No playback at all on some songs (importing fixes it, but common, you notice until yo playback). another telltale sign is the lost album cover.
    2. Now a truncated song! That hadn't happened before. A favorite and frequently played song imported on 2005 has truncated from 4:09 to 1:49 (tried to reset it manually, but anything going over 1:49 is reset back to 1:49). What is this!
    This happens way to frequently and I'm fed up! Read somewhere that all previous posts regarding this theme have been archived.

    If you have the original, try opening it again (maybe the hardware was not configured?)-or you can update/import environment objects from your autoload. ou can manually convert all this if you like but that is very time consuming. Basically you go to the environment and select an audio track object and in the paramaters on the left assign it to core audio, then the proper channel. Importing/updating, etc from autoload will do all objects at once (it is conditional). Replacing enviro objects can be risky if you are new to it so just make sure you're working on a copy 1st. You should do this even if Logic asks you to convert to the CA engine, because the objects should be refreshed and they will be unstable in most cases-ignore this if you only need to work on the session for a few hours (but have backups because they can flake out-autobackup last 30 songs is good for me and I save often). Cheers
    PS-I am under the impression your environment looks like normal except all audio objects have nothing other than the name on the channels/tracks.
