PLC MITSUBISHI QOOUJ Y LABVIEW

Hi!!
Please, help me!; I need connect a PLC FESTO FC660 with LabVIEW, I was Looking in DATABASE of OPC of National Instruments But I not Find FESTO, somebody, can I help me?
Thanks
Best RegardsHello qz6y7q,
Thanks for using NI forums! Unfortunatelly FESTO is not suppoerted directly by NI OPC server, what you need to do is communicate FESTO's OPC server with NI OPC server and then create the shared variables. Here is a link with all supported devices from NI OPC server.
http://www.ni.com/white-paper/6417/en/
Here's also a link that shows how to connect LabVIEW to a PLC using NI OPC Server.

Hope this information works for you!

AbdulHey Abdul,
You might want to give us a little bit more information on what you're having trouble with, and also what you're trying to do with this PLC. This DevZone article might be useful for you : Connect LabVIEW to Any Industrial Network and PLC

Interfacing PLC siemens S7_300 and LabVIEW DSC using siemens OPC server
Does anyone already interface Siemens PLC S7_315-2-DP with LabVIEW DSC using Siemens OPC server?
Is that a good solution? Are there any hidden problems? The use of an OPC Server is the way to go when dealing with LV. If you already have Siemens OPC Server then use that. Otherwise, NI has a product called IA Severs/Lookout Protocol Drivers (LPD), which has a large selection of drivers for PLC's. After configuring the driver, LPD is the OPC Server for the device.

I am storing a block of data inside plc registers and reading this group into labview as a continuous set of datapoints. I am counting the number of scans in the plc and sometimes the number of points collected inside labview doesn't match.
To explain a a little bit about tag updating:
The LabVIEW DSC tag engine is not just updated on any change of the value within the plc. There are, in fact, several "deadbands" that must be crossed before those tags are updated:
1) The OPC Server has a deadband - where the plc register value has to change a certain % before it is recorded.
2) In the LabVIEW DSC moduel, there is an I/O Group Deadband that determines when the tag engine is actually updated.
Both of these deadbands must be satisfied before a new "value" is recorded in the LabVIEW DSC tag engine.
Therefore, I would check your OPC Server's deadband (configurable in the OPC Server configuration utility) and also the I/O Group deadband for those tags (configurable in the tag configuration
editor).
If this doesn't resolve the issue, please let me know. Thanks. -
PLC Communications with Labview
How do I view and record data from my plc to labview, currently we are using autmation directs DL205 with the 260 processor
If the DL 205 communicates through the Modbus protocol, you could use the Modbus library. This library consists of a bunch of VIs which can be used for Modbus communication. Think of them as advanced Serial read/write VIs. However, if you are looking into monitoring, datalogging and controlling the registers, then I would recommend the LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control Module. Using shared variables, you can then easily bind, control and talk to the registers and most of the work is taken away from you.
If the DL 205 doesn't communicate throught the Modbus protocol, then you would need an OPC server (like the NI Industrial Automation OPC Servers) and the LabVIEW DSC Module. You can then communicate from the LabVIEW DSC Module with the OPC server.

Plc data logging using Labview
I am trying to communicate with PACSystem RX3i using Labview in order to log
data from PLC. Is this possible?
If it is possible, how could I implement it?Hi mber,
Thanks for posting at NI forums. I looked into the supported device & driver plug-in list for NI OPC Servers, and the PACSystem RX3i is supported. To configure the OPC server to communicate with this PLC, you can follow the steps given in this article. In the LabVIEW side, you can configure an I/O server as an OPC client to communicate with the server.
In order to configure the I/O server you will require the Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) module installed for LabVIEW. In the article I just referenced, it shows how to configure bound variables to communicate with the PLC tags to retrieve data. The DSC module installs a Citadel database, so when you are configuring the bound variable, you can choose to log data depending on events, alarms or a historical log. This article describes the data logging options using the DSC module. You can also choose to read and display the data in a VI by dragging the bound variables to the block diagram and then log to a file using logging functions.

I have siemens plc s7-300 and labview how can i communiction between plc and s7-300
Hi all good morning
iam new user for labview
now iam working one new projects with labview and s7-300 automation plc so how can i communication between plc and s7-300 using profibus or ethernet cables can any one help me with example
thanks
best regards
vijaynagar.Dear vijaynagar,
it would be posible to communicate with our Comsoft PROFIBUS products like DF PROFI II, FNL or cRIO PB.
Please have a look at:
- DF PROFII: PCI, PCIe, C-PCI or PC104+ card with LabVIEW drivers: Link
- FNL: Ethernet/PROFIBUS Gateway: Link
- cRIO PB, C-Series module for National Instruments FPGA chassis: Link
The DF PROFI II can be bought directly from Comsoft, the cRIO PB can be bought from National Instruments.
Regards,
Sven

Connect plc using modbus with labview
hi
i m using Modbus to communicate plc with labview . but it is not working.......?
can any one give me the example program so that i can understand how to communicate ?Hi Nadeemalikpda,
Are you using the Modbus Library (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/4756) or the DSC Module for the Modbus communication? There are examples included for each.
For the Modbus Library, the examples are in the .llb (MB Serial Example Master.vi, MB Ethernet Example Master.vi).
For the DSC Module, take a look at the help file here, which also has the locations of the example programs: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371618F-01/lvmve/dsc_modbus_using/.

can Lookout 6 talk with mitsubishi plc A2USHcpu-S1 with module A1SJ71UC24-R2?
if it can do, when can i find a example of that?
thanksHI Bob
The database conversion did complete successfully. The alarms are showing because the datapoints are not registering correctly and such the min and max are setting off the alarms. Some devices are working while others are not. Seems to be about half of the devices are working. I have little Lookout experience. I have enough knowledge to put up a Lookout PC and move the data/files. The last move went okay but this one has been difficult at best. Luckily I still have the "old" setup working and can fall back when the attempts to get the new one does not work successfully.I have found the proper way to edit the data points individually but this would be very tedious and prone to errors. I would like to think there is some connetion that has not converted to the new version and I need to find and fix that connection, but again I don't have the required knowledge for that.
Your thoughts?
Thank you for your reply.

dear all,
i am new to labview, how to code or address digital input & output, analogue input & output when communicate with mitsubishi fx1n plc or crouzet plc.
pls help.
HMhttp://search.mywebsearch.com/mywebsearch/redirect.jhtml?searchfor=mitsubishi+fx1n&cb=ZO&p2=%5EZO%5E...
Try the above link. I know it is a screen-full, but is a search result for Matrikon. They have a whole slew of OPC servers/clients you can try out. Personally, I would go with their OPC server for the Mitsubishi, and use Labview Datasockets. That would be the simplest with the lowest learning curve.
Otherwise, if you wish to use Modbus, you would have to get the commands/syntax from Mitsubishi; might be in their user manual, but I wouldn't lay bets on it. With the Matrikon stuff, the syntax is all built in.
Good luck which ever way you decide to go.

Driver to communicate between LabVIEW and Omron CJ1G PLC
I am trying to communicate between my Omron PLC (Model CJ1G) and LabVIEW. I want to be able to read specific registers and be able to display and save the data in LabVIEW.
I have the "Idustrial Automation Servers for OPC" CD but my PLC model no. doesn't appear under the Omron options.
What other options do I have?
Thanks, in advance,
FelipeHi Felipe:
I checked in our PLC compatibility database and the only Omrom PLCs that are supported are the following: C20, C200, C500, C1000, C2000, CQM, and CPM1.
The PLCs that are suppored in the IA OPC server is based on the driver dll that was supplied to us by Omron. When newer PLCs are released, they are not included in this dll and are thus not supported. You might want to contact Omron to see which OPC Server supports that PLC. You should be able to use any 3rd party OPC Server to work with DSC which will then be the OPC Client.
Hope this helps.

Jaideep
