Please help; how to write XML document with JSP?
I try to write XML document with JSP...
But I got wrong results everytime.
The result is not XML file displayed in the browser,
but HTML file.
I even tried to use HTML special code for <, >, "
but still display as HTML file not XML file.
How to do this?
Thanks in advance. I put my codes below.
Sincerely,
Ted.
================
Here is code for the JSP (called stk.jsp):
<%@ page contentType="text/xml" %>
<%@ page import="bean.Stock" %>
<jsp:useBean id="portfolio" class="bean.Portfolio" />
<% java.util.Iterator pfolio = portfolio.getPortfolio();
Stock stock = null; %>
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<portfolio>
<% while (pfolio.hasNext())
stock = (Stock) pfolio.next(); %>
<stock>
<symbol>
<%=stock.getSymbol() %>
</symbol>
<name><%=stock.getName() %> </name>
<price><%=stock.getPrice() %> </price>
</stock>
<% } %>
</portfolio>
=================
Here is the code for bean.Stock:
package bean;
public class Stock implements java.io.Serializable
String symbol, name;
float price;
public Stock(String symbol, String name, float price)
this.symbol = symbol;
this.name = name;
this.price = price;
public String getSymbol()
return symbol;
public String getName()
return name;
public float getPrice()
return price;
===============
And here is bean.Portfolio:
package bean;
import java.util.Iterator;
import java.util.Vector;
public class Portfolio implements java.io.Serializable
private Vector portfolio = new Vector();
public Portfolio()
portfolio.addElement(new Stock("SUNW", "Sun Microsystem", 34.5f));
portfolio.addElement(new Stock("HWP", "Hewlett Packard", 15.15f));
portfolio.addElement(new Stock("AMCC", "Applied Micro Circuit Corp.", 101.35f));
public Iterator getPortfolio()
return portfolio.iterator();
}

Please help to read the XML document with XMLTable
Hi Gurus,
I am not very familiar with XML parsing. It seems to me it should be very easy to get the data. For some reason, I am having a problem to get the data.
SELECT *
FROM util.hlsr_online_entries e,
XMLTABLE(
xmlnamespaces(
'http://tempuri.org/' as "dt",
'urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-diffgram-v1' as "dg"),
'/DataTable/dg:diffgram/DocumentElement/JrShowCustomerHeifers'

COLUMNS
SeqNo FOR ORDINALITY,
DocumentID NUMBER PATH 'DocumentID',
ClubName VARCHAR2(100) PATH 'ClubName') as test
WHERE e.ref_id = 33422
The above query does not bring any data for me. My hunts is the problem with DocumentElement tab. I have been trying a different variation to handle.
Please help me out to tune the query

</DataTable>Hi odie_63,
Good evening. I am not sure what you are suggesting. Please provide me the example how to solve the problem. I am very new to XML parsing.
In the meantime, I am having another problem to get the data because .net developer changes the webservice format. To me it is supposed to work fine. May be my eyes are getting blurred so, I can't see where I am wrong.
Thanks in advance. Please help me out.

PLEASE HELP: How to format ext HD with Disk Utilities (FAT32 format)
Hi,
Please help. I need to format a 360 GB Lacie Hard-drive on FAT32 format. How can I do it with the Disk Utilities Application? I tried but only see Apple extended, extended (journaled), MS-dos, and others, but no FAT32. Also, if the Hard drive has 20 GB of documents, can a format the resto of the drive and leave this info intact? If so how can I do it. Thanks so much. I appreciate your help.
MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.4.3)You have to backup any data on the hard drive first.
Formatting erases anything on the partition which in your case is the entire hard drive. It is possible to create more than one partition on the hard drive but that process will also delete any data on the hard drive. -
Please Help::How to display a Map with LIsts as Keys and Values using JSTL
Hi,
I need some assistance on how to display a Map in JSP using struts or core JSTL. I have a HashMap which has a List of keys and each key maps to a value of an ArrayList.i.e I have an ArrayList of taxCodes and each taxCode maps to a value of taxDetails which is an ArrayList of details for for that particular taxCode. I have some trouble to display each taxCode then display taxDetails for each taxCode. Here is my code below:
OrderDetails.java

private LineOder lineOrder;
private Map lineItems;

yes i need a nested for loop.I have tried your advice but my bean properties are not found.Am getting this error:
javax.servlet.ServletException: Unable to find a value for "key_item" in object of class "java.lang.String" using operator "."
I have tried this as stated earlier in the post:I have tried to make the method getItemTaxDetails return a List and get the returned list value as taxDetails. I then tested to display this list on JSP and its displaying fine.

PLEASE HELP How to Activate the Correlation with the workflow ?
Hi everyone,
I am trying to retrigger a workflow with object (QMSM) using another Object event (BUS2007 event TECCOMPLETED )
The objects are QMSM(complete task) and BUS2007(Plant Maintenance order) .
I tried to do that using correlation but I am stuck in the following step because there is no name of the event there to choose from.
*3. Select the event for which the correlation is to be activated and the correlation to be activated*
The procedure I used was from this link:
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/26/0b8b3f81fef93de10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Things done so far:
Defining a Correlation
Defining a Wait Step: Wait for Event with Correlation
Not done: Activating a Correlation
Please help everyone.

How to parse XML document with default namespace with JDOM XPath
Hi All,
I am having difficulty parsing using Saxon and TagSoup parser on a namespace html document. The relevant content of this document are as follows:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
</head>
<body>
<div id="container">
<div id="content">
<table class="sresults">
<tr>
<td>
<a href="http://www.abc.com/areas" title="Hollywood, CA">hollywood</a>
</td>
<td>
<a href="http://www.abc.com/areas" title="San Jose, CA">san jose</a>
</td>
<td>
<a href="http://www.abc.com/areas" title="San Francisco, CA">san francisco</a>
</td>
<td>
<a href="http://www.abc.com/areas" title="San Diego, CA">San diego</a>
</td>
</tr>
</body>
</html>
Below is the relevant code snippets illustrates how I have attempted to retrieve the contents (value of <a>):
import java.util.*;
import org.jdom.*;
import org.jdom.xpath.*;
import org.saxpath.*;
import org.ccil.cowan.tagsoup.Parser;
( 1 ) frInHtml = new FileReader("C:\\Tmp\\ABC.html");
( 2 ) brInHtml = new BufferedReader(frInHtml);
( 3 ) // SAXBuilder saxBuilder = new SAXBuilder("org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser");
( 4 ) SAXBuilder saxBuilder = new SAXBuilder("org.ccil.cowan.tagsoup.Parser");
( 5 ) org.jdom.Document jdomDocument = saxbuilder.build(brInHtml);
( 6 ) XPath xpath = XPath.newInstance("/ns:html/ns:body/ns:div[@id='container']/ns:div[@id='content']/ns:table[@class='sresults']/ns:tr/ns:td/ns:a");
( 7 ) xpath.addNamespace("ns", "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml");
( 8 ) java.util.List list = (java.util.List) (xpath.selectNodes(jdomDocument));
( 9 ) Iterator iterator = list.iterator();
( 10 ) while (iterator.hasNext())
( 11 ) {
( 12 ) Object object = iterator.next();
( 13 ) // if (object instanceof Element)
( 14 ) // System.out.println(((Element)object).getTextNormalize());
( 15 ) if (object instanceof Content)
( 16 ) System.out.println(((Content)object).getValue());
.This program would work on the same document without the default namespace, hence, it would not be necessary to include ns prefix along in the XPath statements (line 6-7) either. Moreover, I was using org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser to have successfully retrieve content of <a> from the same document without default namespace in the past.
I would like to achieve the following objectives if possible:
( i ) Exclude DTD and namespace in order to simplifying the parsing process. How this could be done?
( ii ) If this is not possible, how to include it in XPath statements (line 6-7) so that the value of <a> is picked up correctly?
( iii ) Would changing from org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser to org.ccil.cowan.tagsoup.Parser make any difference as far as using XPath is concerned?
( iv ) Failing to exlude DTD, how to change the lookup of a PUBLIC DTD to a local SYSTEM one and include a local DTD for reference?
I am running JDK 1.6.0_06, Netbeans 6.1, JDOM 1.1, Saxon6-5-5, Tagsoup 1.2 on Windows XP platform.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

HT1518 How to write a document with a mac
How to set up a mac to write a letter
Mac OS X (the operating system on a Mac) comes with some Apple applications, such as Safari to browse the Web, Mail to, well, receive and send email, iCal as calendar, etc...
One of those appllications is called TextEdit, and you'll find it in your Applications folder (which should be sitting in the rightmost part of the Dock, at the bottom of your screen). It's a very basic text processor/editor, but it may fit your needs.
You can also try a variant based on it, called Bean, which offers a whole slew of features TextEdit doesn't have. If you want something more refined and are willing to pay the price, you can opt for Microsoft Office for Mac, or a freeware such as OpenOffice, LibreOffice or NeoOffice (all three are cousins).
You can also try the latest version of Apple's iWork suite, which you might just adopt after a while. It's quite good.
You'll find all those apps and software via your favorite search engine... -

Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not synced. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not touched with the iTunes sync process. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer which is not handled by iTunes. Most importing software includes an option to delete the photos/videos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete. If is my understanding that some Windows import software supports importing photos from the Camera Roll, but not videos. Regardless, the import software should not delete the photos/videos from the Camera Roll unless you set the app to do so.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are included with your iPhone's backup. If you synced your iPhone with iTunes before the videos on the Camera Roll went missing and you haven't synced your iPhone with iTunes since they went missing, you can try restoring the iPhone with iTunes from the iPhone's backup. Don't sync the iPhone with iTunes again and decline the prompt to update the iPhone's backup after selecting Restore. -
In Pages 09 we can do Mail Merge and Import Styles from a document. Can someone please explain how we can do this with the new version of Pages 5.1. Even Apple solutions are only valid for Pages Version 09. What a DOWN GRADE! Thank god Pages 09 is still there.
…and the other 98 missing features.
Just use Pages '09, which should be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Rate/review Pages 5 in the App Store.

How to write XML with attributes to a table in Oracle?
I tried to find solutions over the internet. Some of the stuff I looked at:https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2182669 http://www.club-oracle.com/forums/how-to-insert-data-from-xml-to-table-t2845/
In all these cases, the solution considers XML structure with only nodes and child nodes but not attributes. In fact, one of the solutions suggests transforming the XML into a canonical form with only nodes w/o attributes.
This is a sample of xml structure I am working with:
Sample XML
<rep type="P" title="P List"> <as> <a id="3" /> <a id="4" /> </as> </rep>
I am working with oracle client 11.2 and SQL developer
My question is: how to write XML data into a table with attributes also as column values, beside the nodes?My question is: how to write XML data into a table with attributes also as column values, beside the nodes
The question you should be asking is : "how do I access attributes in the XPath language?"
and the answer to that is easily found in any XPath tutorial you may find over the Internet, it is not related to Oracle in particular.
Short answer : you use an "attribute::" axis before the attribute name, or more commonly a "@", e.g. @type, @id etc.
Using the method described in the first link, something like this will extract the root attributes :
SELECT x.*
FROM XMLTable(
'/rep'
passing <xmltype variable/column goes here>
columns type varchar2(1) path '@type'
, title varchar2(30) path '@title'
) x ;
For deeper levels, use additional XMLTable calls as described in the mentioned post. -
hi, my daughter hers ipod touch is disabled connect to itunes after say its itunes couldnot connect to the "ipod touch" because its is locked with a passcode please help how to fix connect...i did turn off her ipod touch put usb back on there same in doenot say still ipod is disabled i dont understand please help how???
If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device
1. iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
2. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
3. iOS- Understanding passcodes
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
2. Connect your device to your computer.
3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
4. Select the Summary tab.
5. Select the Restore option.
6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
necessary to create another.
7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
you see "iPhone is activated."
9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore, then restore as New.
If you are restoring to fix a forgotten Restrictions Code or as a New device, then skip Step 9 and restore as New. -

How to create shipment document with out inbound delivery document
Dear Friends
How to create shipment document with out outbound/inbound delivery document.
In my client scenario, there is no inbound delivery for normal purchases.
Just there are raising the PO to vendor, then they are doing MIGO for goods receipt.
Can we do shipment creation with reference to PO?
If it is possible, how it will be?
Please let it solve
With regards
LakshmikanthDear Sameer,
Please go to transaction VT01N here you enter Transportation planning point and shipment type then press enter.
Now system will take you to the shipment document creation screen here you click on Select deliveries or press F6 now system will take you to the select outbound deliveries screen in this screen you enter selection data then execute, now deliveries will get assigned to that shipment.
