PLEASE HELP!!! Main Menu is Invisible?!

I am experiencing a strange problem where everything looks fine in the "Simulator" but upon "Build and Format" my main menu becomes invisible in the output disc. The button highlights and menu transitions are all there, but the menu graphic itself does not appear, instead there's just a blank, black screen. Again, in the simulator everything is there, so I'm stumped. What could be causing this to happen???

I would also check just to be sure that your file is 720x480, at the correct pixel aspect ratio, and that none of your layers extend beyond the bounds of your canvas (just select all and crop in photoshop).
I usually have no problems working with layered photohsop files, although I prefer to flatten the backgrounds as much as possible, so as not to leave the quality of the composited layers to the mercy of DVDSP's mpeg compression. Also, I always make sure all type and layer effects have been flattened out as well. I find this very useful for chapter menus - I can share one background and have the different chapter thumbnails and buttons on separate layers for each menu, usually sharing one overlay layer as well.
If you still can't figure out why the menu is invisible, try taking a menu that works, do a save as, and paste your troublesome art into the new file. (the blunt instrument method)

Please help - JFrame, menu, another JFrame, setBackground

I am trying to make a simple program that draws a JFrame with a menu. The menu has one item, which when selected draws another JFrame. That JFrame has a button, which when pressed changes the background color. Many hours have gone into this, despite the fact that I made a similar program a few weeks ago.
The compiler complains about the method getContentPane, when I remove that, it runs and draws the first window, but the menu item does not make the second window. Also, the setDefaultCloseOperation confuses the compiler as well.

Please help with menu links

Hello. I'm a new user to CS3. I started building a new site
and everything looks good except I have no idea how to link the
menu buttons to their URL's. Every time I enter code in the actions
I get an error message.
Background: I created text and then converted them into
Buttons (i.e., home, about us...). These buttons will link to other
pages on my site. I'm using a combination of flash and html.

Mlipkin, an easy way to have buttons link to a url is to use
"Behavoir's" under the window drop down.
Select your button pick window, behavoirs, (plus sign) add
behavoir, go to web page, and type in your url.

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. The Menu Bar and Dock will be on the MacBook display and your background screen on the monitor. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the monitor and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen. You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the monitor your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.

- Can you access the mail account(s) on another device and look for a problem email that may be causing the problem

Horizontal menu bar displays grey in IE - Please Help

These are my first websites and i have created it in DW CS4. Everything is working and i have checked in multiply browsers. The one issue i can't work out is that when viewed in IE the horizontal menu bar looks grayed out. The main menu should be transparent with a white border, while submenus have a .gif image gradient background also with a white border.
Please help, I would be very grateful and if you would ever find yourself in the Maldives i'm sure we could repay the favour.....

Help with menu contents please

Hello!
Some time ago I broke my Nano screen. It still works and I use it on shuffle mode. Today, I switched on spoken menus from iTunes and I could perfectly navigate them without my screen, but... As an accident I switched the spoken menus of under the settings menu and now I have the trouble that I couldn't find my way back to switch them on again.
So, here is my request: could someone please post here the exact contents of the fourth generation Nano Main menu, Settings menu and General menu (where I think the +Spoken menus+ feature is located) so I could find my way to switch them back on.

Thank you so much for your help! I finally found it.
I was close before too, but now I discovered that in my Nano, for some reason, the Spoken menus option was the third option, not the second, in the General menu. And in the video you gave, there were 8 options, I had 9. So I don't know what else was in that menu in my iPod.
But now the problem is solved and I can finally use my iPod again to select a certain song to play When I had a screen, I thought the spoken menus feature was completeley useless, hehe

SOS! PLEASE HELP! IE BUG AND HORIZONTAL MENU

render my horizontal menu without putting a medium thick white band
at the top of the menu container and inbetween each of the submenus

This may be a too obvious, but did you try:

My website is www.jumpingbeanpartyrental.com my navigation menu after I uploaded my files to my server are vertical using bullets, its supposed to be horizontal. I found the post below:
"First download the spry updater I pointed you to, close dreamweaver and open the adobe extension manager. Select dreamweaver in the extension manager, then select install from the menu options, navigate to the spry updater extension and select this, then select o/k to all on-screen prompts.
Once the spry updater is installed open dreamweaver. Open the html page with the spry menu and delete the 'old' css file, select the spry updater from the Site menu item, (main dw menu) select the item for the spry menu, and click on update.
Upload the html file and all your spry assets to your server."
I downloaded the spry updater, but when I open dreamweaver my spry updater from the Site menu is not active. So i cant click on update. I dont know what to do.............. Please help.......... Im not an expert on these, if you know the answer to my problem,PLEASE give me step by step answer.

Like you know I have been trying to fix my website (navigation bar). Somebody fixed the navigation bar through FTP, a few days after he did it I had to made some changes to my website (using dreamweaver and then uploading my files to godaddy), after the uploading I checked my website and the pages that I made the changes where all messed up like at the beginning. Rentals, Packages and a few others are with that issue.
Dont know if you can help me with this, like i said in my earlier messages Im not an expert.
I appreaciate anything you can do for me.

How can I reset my main user from my guest user when I forgot my password for the main user? Please help me!!!

Ok. I know I'm really stupid!
I forgot my main user password and so then allowed someone on my laptop who accidently changed over into the guest user! Now I can't get back into my main user and I was wondering if anybody could either help me reset the password from the guest user or even reboot my laptop so the memory is wiped and I can set up my main user again. Please help me!!!

N96 multimedia menu problem. Please help.

I have a N96. The problem is that once i open the main menu and then i press the close button, (the button on the right) it opens the multimedia menu. If i then press the close button to close that, it close the multimedia menu but if i press it again it does the same again, kind of in a loop. If i press the left options button this now takes me back each step of the menu depending where i was. I've found that if once i've opened the main menu and gone further into any other menu, if i press and hold the options button down and the press the exit button once, then it will go back to the previous menu as it should. However, once i let go of the options button the mutimedia menu opens again. Also if i haven't got the key lock on, the main screen light stays on. If i lock the keys the screen does go darker but you can see the message flashing up on the screen as if i'm pressing a key. I've tried everything i can think of to sort this, factory reset and hard reset, also checked to see if the buttons are stuck down but they are not. nothing makes a difference. I had this problem once before, but after a few months one day it just worked normal again. Also i've just had the phone back a week from nokia repair as they repaired it after it suffered white screen of death after a recent upgrade i tried. all firmware and such is up to date.
Please can somebody help, i really feel like throwing it through a window. Any help would be very helpful.

I got the same problem on N95 8GB, after firmwareupdate and format massmemory, got new pc-suiit, and all.
(but no c++ error, When i start up Map Loader it says "Waiting for Device". The USB mode on my phone is "Pc Suit", i have winxp pro)
Then i remember from the update a half year ago, i need to "start and close" maps on my phone one's first, after that all work fine.

I was able copy the hardrive of my old macbook from "My Passport" onto the desktop on an older iMac. but i dont know how to make my hardrive and user name be the main one since someone had used it in the past and had their info on the comp. please help!

I recently broke my 2008 macbook. i was able to use an external hardrive to back up my data onto My Passport. I was going to buy a new computer but a friend told me sher had an older version of the iMac. (not sure how old but it doesnt have a camera if that helps) i was able to hook it up and turn it on but i ran into a few problems. 1) the "authentic" user or whatever it says is someone who previously used the computer. i added me as a user but im not sure how to make me the main user. 2) after hooking up My Passport, i was able to drag my files and copy them to the desktop.(i think i did it correctly) now, i dont know how to make my hard drive and applications and iformation the "main " info. The current apps on the iMac are super old versions of iTunes and iPhoto and such. 3) while trying to open the apps from my macbook on the iMac, it said it didnt have the right software to open these apps.
I am so computer illiterate so someone please help!!! Also, i do not have internet in my new apartment yet so if there is a way to make this happen without using the internet that would be preferred. sorry for the horrible spelling and poorly written paragraph.

You are not going to be able to run your old system from the backup on this old computer as the hardware is incompatible.
You need to get a new computer or a refurbished one.

I have a new MacBook(2012). Being a new Mac user, I do not know what to do when Safari doesn't open at all. The icon just bounces up and down and when the cursor is on the top main menu bar it is the spinning rainbow wheel. Any ideas for help?

When I try to open safari the icon stats bouncing and then nothing happens other than the cursor turning to a spinning rainbow wheel when it hoovers on the top main menu bar. I have shut down and restart several times. My safari worked yesterday and then today this, but with. I indication of a problem. I can't even get the browser window to open so that I can clear caches or reset anything. When I opened my computer this time I don't even get a bouncing icon. No recognition of selecting the program at all. If I go to spotlight and try to open safari from here I still get no response. Can you help?

If you have moved the Safari application from the Applications folder, move it back.
As far as the cache goes, there's a work around for that when you can't empty the Safari cache from the menu bar.
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.aple.Safari.Cache.db. Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Try Safari.
