Please Help! Unable to create a web service.

Hi all,
I have created a deployable proxy, a EJB with a stateless session bean, and a enterprise application project with the above ejb added. I add the deployable proxy into ejb, so that i can utilize the interface(web service) provided by the external party. After i implement the code to call the web service from external party in stateless session bean, i should create a web service by right click on session bean>New>Web Service. However, nothing was happened while a pop up window of web service creation wizard should appear. NWDS showed "End Point Doesn't Exist" when i tried to create the web service by File>New>Others>Web Service>Web Service (New VI and WSD).
Anybody have any idea of it? Your help will be apperciated.
Warmest Regards,
Jane

Hi all,
I notice that once i implement the interface from deployable proxy, the problem of "SEI doen't exist" appeared.
Anyone can help pls? anyone encounter the same problem before? It is urgent.
Thank in advance.
Warmest Regards,
Jane

  • Unable to create java web service

    morning all
    Being new to ejbs I created a simple ejb project comprising one entity bean and one session bean. The session bean exposes two methods one to retrieve individual employee data (return object EmployeeData class which implements java.o.Serializable) and a second retrieving all employee data (return object java.util.Collection).
    When I attempt to create a Java Web Service and select the session bean to expose as a web service the method are grayed out, clicking 'Why Not?' displays a message box showing the message
    'The following parameter types do not have an XML Schema Mapping and\or serializer specified'
    What does this mean and how do I solve it?

    Hi,
    The java.io.Serializable marker is not consulted when determining whether a Java object can be transmitted in a web service invocation. Instead, each parameter and return value of a web service method must conform to one of the 3 rules below:
    1. It is a Java primitive (int, long, byte etc.), Java primitive wrapper (java.lang.Integer etc.), or a java.lang.String.
    2. It is a Java bean with a zero-argument constructor, and a pair of "get" and "set" methods for each property to be exposed. Each property must itself conform to one of these 3 rules.
    3. It is an array of a type that meets either rule 1 or rule 2.
    In the first case, I'd hazard a guess that your EmployeeData class doesn't have the form of a Java bean. Make sure it's got the zero-argument constructor, and that all of the "get" and "set" methods use types which are themselves publishable.
    In the second case, java.util.Collection doesn't conform to any of the 3 rules above. However, once you've fixed your EmployeeData class, you can convert the method that returns the Collection into a method that returns a EmployeeData[], which you will be able to publish in your web service.
    Hope that helps,
    Alan.

    I tried to install oracle8i enterprise edition 8.1.7 to RHEL4, the problem is the following error is seen.
    "unable to initialize threads:cannot find class java/lang/thread

    Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem?

    Oracle has its own version of java which it places in front of a version you have installed.
    Make sure your version of java is first in your path.

  • ABAP WebService Created but unable to locate in Web Services Navigator

    Hi all,
    We have got a SAP WAS 640 system and had created an RFC and converted into a Web Service via transaction code SE37. Have also confirmed to be working using the test page.
    However, in the Web Services Navigator homepage, I am unable to find this newly created ABAP Web Service. Neither can I see the newly created ABAP Web Service in NetWeaver Developer Studio.
    My question is, is the ABAP Web Service deployed in the ABAP stack or J2EE stack? How can I get to "see" the Web Service  via the Web Service Navigator page? Did I miss any configurations?
    Thanks for any help rendered.

    That's exacly why I suggested you to ask your question in the SQL/PL SQL forum, since this forum is mainly about SQL Developer and your question is instead related to PL/SQL.
    With SQL Developer you can easily create a trigger calling a stored procedure, by going to the triggers node and right clicking then selecting new trigger, and also the stored procedure in the same way, but you will then need to write the stored procedure itself and i do not know if there is a way to call a web service from there (i suspect there is but i'm not an expert in PL/SQL).
    A simple Google search may also help you there but the guys in the SQL and PL/SQL forum will surely be able to give you a better answer.

  • Creating a web service for F4 help

    Hi All,
    I want to create a web service that I can consume using JavaScript and thus can integrate with normal HTML web site. I want to achieve this by two ways
    Pass table name and field name to the service and it will return the default search help
    In some cases search helps are collective search helps and they have search criteria to filter data
    How can I tackle with the 2nd point. First one looks straight. Pass table-field and the system will pick default DDIC search help and return values in table. However in case of collective help, I need to cater for the search parameters and I am not aware of any FM that will allow me to do  it.
    Any help appreciated .

    Hi Marcin and everyone,
    Thanks for the precious explanations.
    I created a client and I have an exception.
    1) I made a portal service from wsdl - client side.
    2) I created a DynPage.
    3) Here is the code :
    IMyBAPI4Service client = (IMyBAPI4Service) PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(
    IMyBAPI4Service.KEY);
    IMyBAPI4Service securedClient = (IMyBAPI4Service) client.getSecurisedServiceConnection(                 request.getUser());
    //this is null.
    if (securedClient.getURLEndPoint().getURL() == null) {
    securedClient.setURLEndPoint(new URLEndpoint("http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/soap/com.sap.portal.prt.soap.MyBAPI4Service?style=doc_lit"));
    Bapi_Companycode_Getdetail_Input importParams =     new Bapi_Companycode_Getdetail_Input();
    importParams.setCompanycodeid("0500");
    Bapi_Companycode_Getdetail_Output exportParams = null;
    securedClient.execute_BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL(importParams);
    Do I have to use a secured client ? What is it ?
    The exception is :
    Problem at execution: SOAP Fault Error (java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError) : java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

    I work for a logistics company and I have been tasked with

    packets and our server would then take the XML, confirm it's valid
    and then process a quote and then return this quote back to the

    what type of returntype is an XML packet? a "string"?

    Basically yes, A long structured string. The cffunction tag
    also
    accepts a returnType of XML, I'm not sure which is best.

    Guys,
    You are asking about an issue that was a pain in the nick for me few months ago. The problem is that you won't find mych help here as I figured out that Apex geeks here either did not do much webservices or ended up hating it as i do :) . This is an error that can be due many different reason, let me ask you this:
    1- Does your the other system you are trying to call through webservices using HTTPS ?
    2- If yes, did you create a valid oracle wallet for that https connection ?
    3- Make sure you are using the correct URL ( am sure you do, just double check )
    4- If using a proxy, then you have to define that in the web service reference creation page
    provide more info and I hope I can help you with this,
    Sam

  • Create a Web Service to connect a third party tool using ABAP.

    Hi Guru's,
    I wanted to create a web service to access a third party tool for fetching data from it. Can anyone guide me on how to do that and what are the basic needs that we should have to use Web services? To execute a web service, do we need a J2EE engine?

    Hi Rich,
    Thanks for your immediate response.
    Can you please explain me the technical point of view for fetching the data from a third party application using web service? Which method would be correct for this (i.e., BAPI/FM/FG/Message Interface)? What is the step by step process to fetch data? If I use a function module, how do I pass the data to the web service? Can you give me some more inputs to it?
    Please help.

  • VS Exp 2013: Unable to create the Web site ... The components for communicating with FTP servers are not installed.

    I have MS Visual Studio Express 2013 It has worked fine for many months and then suddenly (I have made no configuration changes or added new programs) when I try to publish I am getting the message:
    Unable to create the Web site 'ftp://ftp.xx.xx/xxx.org.uk/www/htdocs'. The components for communicating with FTP servers are not installed.

    I had a similar problem some months ago and found that saving all files, closing VS 2013 and re-starting the program fixed the problem. This time it has not.
    I am at a loss to know how to take this forwards. I do not use IIS.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Michael.

    Hi Michael,
    For web site development, so you use the VS2013 express for web, am I right? We have to make sure that it is not the VS version issue.
    As you said that it worked well before, did you install other add-ins or tools in your VS IDE like
    Xamarin or others?
    Maybe you could disable or remove all add-ins in your VS IDE, test it again.
    please also install the VS2013 update 4 in your side.

  • The steps to create a Web Service

    Does anyone have a recommended set of steps to follow to create a web service. These steps do not have to be full blown tutuorials. Simple one liners will do.
    For example,
    1) Write the interface and methods
    2) Write or generate the WSDL
    3) etcetera.....
    I am just interested in a simple guidline. As of now there are alot of technologies but no "big picture".... Sun people take note! How does it all work together. To Suns credit they are working on a step by step example, but in the meantime, please post some simple guidlines.

    Go to the Apache SOAP website to get the SOAP:
    http://xml.apache.org/soap/index.html
    You'll need to have the SOAP, xerces.jar, and a few other things to fully implement SOAP.
    The Apache SOAP website also has a good bunch of info:
    http://xml.apache.org/soap/docs/index.html
    A good place to start are the tutorials and sample code that are found at:
