Plot different data set depending of some conditions using labview and veristand

Hi Community,
i have a couple of points saved as XY data points on my desktop. The files are save as csv. the idea is to read the file utilizing the Read From Spreadsheet File vi when some conditions are met and then plot the XY data wiht XY Graph Addon of the veristand workspace.
for instance:
if case 1 is true read the corresponding file and then plot the first set of data
if case 2 is true read the corresponding file and then plot the second set of data
if case n is true read the corresponding file and then plot the n set of data.
Could you give some advices how to implement it (Labview and Veristand)?
I'm using LV and NIVS 2012

Hi Michel,
I believe the easiest method will be to use the VeriStand .NET API to call into VeriStand and utilize LabVIEW for creating the decision making cases that you have. I have attached some examples of using the VeriStand API in LabVIEW.

Load photo from 2 different data sets

I have 2 different data sets in an accordian widget, one set
of data in each collapsible panel. Panel 1 has 2007 data and panel
2 has 2006 data. I have one photo displayed on the page. The photo
changes for each data row clicked on.

This kind of communication works the best when the LabVIEW code is compiled into a DLL.
In C you could call the DLL and the DLL would return the calculated values.

Try unchecking your phone number and email address (if present) under You can be reached by FaceTime (iMessage) at in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime on their devices. Also uncheck their email address (if present) on your phone.
Otherwise have them use separate Apple IDs for these services (tap the ID, sign out, sign back in with a different ID). You can do this and still share the same ID for other services such as iTunes.

How to read and write data from Excel to TestStand without using LabVIEW VIs

Hi,
How can I read in columns of data from Excel into a TestStand array and write columns of data to Excel from TestStand without using LabVIEW VIs?
I don't think the Property Loader custom step type in TestStand will work because the data I would like to read in from Excel is in a column that is thousands of rows long and the data has to be in the proper format to use the Property Loader to load in an array from Excel.

That example does not use LabVIEW and it does about 40% of what you need to do by calling Excel through ActiveX. If you don't know how to use Excel through ActiveX then you'll need to brush up on that.

Oracle Business Intelligence How to choose data set based on a condition

Hi,
I am using Oracle Business Intelligence for creating reports, i am facing a situation where i have two quries (data sets in BI), one to display a Failure message and other to fetch data from the table to be displayed in the report.
The problem is i am unable to choose which data set to run based on a condition. How to use a condition based on which the dataset will be run
For example : i will read a table column value if it is 'S' means success, then i have to run the dataset to fetch the data from the table.
If the column value has 'F' then i have to run the dataset which will display failure message
Please let me know if any of you have any idea on this

Hi Chinna,
You have to use some scripting as well as coding to perform the tasks listed by you. First of all make your form Dynamic, In your Adobe lifecycle Designer, open your form,
Goto, File --> Form Properties,
Goto the Defaults tab,
Select "Dynamic PDF" for the XDP Preview Format:
Click OK.
This setting will now allow dynamicity in your Form, when you view it in PDF Preview tab.
For Hiding/Unhiding the fields/SF, you can use the presence property and set it based on the conditions. like:
if (this.rawValue == null)
TextField1.presence = "hidden";
For your second task, you may map a method corresponding to onSubmit event of the IF and write the code to create the workflow and make RFC call here.
For third one, you need to convert the PDFObject from Binary context into a byte array and save it at appropriate location.

3. Use spel on the item(using personalization) to enable/disable the item based on the VO Attribute created.

Duplicating Data Sets depending on input parameters

I originally posted this question as part of Oracle Reports but I think its not really an Oracle Report issue, its more an SQL Issue. I am on Oracle 9i.
I need to generate a Report that is based on a maximum of 6 input parameters.
Three of them belong to Customer ID# and 3 belong to Number of Copies that need to be printed on the Report.
Parameters for Customers: P_CUST_ID1, P_CUST_ID2, P_CUST_ID3
Parameters for the Number of Copies: P_N1, P_N2, P_N3
So, at any given point, there could be a maximum of 3 Customer ID's passed to the main query. Here is an example of what the input parameters could look like.
User chose to enter values for Customer ID's 1 and 2 and left it blank for Customer 3.
Customer ID1   1001         Number of Copies   2
Customer ID2   1002         Number of Copies   3
Customer ID3   ----         Number of Copies   -The Query that retrieves data looks something like this. The query below is intended to fetch Customer Home and Office Addresses.
Of course, it is possible that there might be No home or Office Address or both.

Are you getting an error message that starts with "SP"? Those are SQL*Plus errors, that occur before your code is even sent to the database. In extremely old versions of SQL*Plus, a statement cannont begin with the keyword WITH. The best solution is to upgrade SQL*Plus, but you could also re-wqrite the query so WITH is not the first word of the statement. In this case, you could also use in-line views instead of WITH.
I tried to generate duplicate data sets as a Sub-Query like RP suggested and it seems to be working except the ordering seems to be messed up for Mr Robert Green. The correct order should have been Home, Home, Office and then Home, Home, Office again...The order above seems to be what you want, but there are many different reasons why a small set of sample data might just happen to appear in the right order.
Explain why you want that order. If you can say what you want in English, somebody can help you code it in SQL.
I don't recommend any solution that uses UNION. It will be inefficient, and difficult to debug and to maintain.

How to set colors on some condition in barchart

I want to design a crystal report with a barchart. I should specify the color of the bar based on some conditions, this colornames are maintained in the database. I tried using chart expert -> color highlights,
is there any other way to set the color of the bar?

Hi Deepa,
In charts Color Highlight is the only way to conditionally change the color of the riser bars.
You can use multiple conditions at a time in color highlight.
To change the color directly you can right click the bar and select the Format Series Riser and change the color (but not conditionally)

DRILL DOWN REPORT FOR DIFFERENT DATA SETS in 11G

Hello.
My requirment is to do a drill down report with 2 data sets.
My first data set have all the chart of accounts , My second data set have all the transactions.
in my report i have 2 data tables. One with the accounts , and when i click in one account get all the transactions for selected account in the second data table.
Anyone know how i can do this

How do you display data from two different data-sets on one list

I have a data-set that is displaying properly; I would like to add another data-set to the other portion of the form.
The first part of the data set has Product information (Product-Name, Product_number, etc),
The second portion of the data-set has information like (Product-campaign, Product-Sales, etc)
The two data-sets are mutually exclusive

Patrick Hurst mentioned, if the several tables didn't have any relationship with each other and you want to put all the information together to display in one report, you need to add several tablix/list in the same report and each tablix/list to display
the data from each table.
If the several table have a same relationship field you can use the
lookup function to get the other maped fields display in the same tablix/list.(this function supportted on the SSRS 2008 r2 and later version).

I have not tried but check if you could get the rowcount which shows how many attachment are upload or not. Then by checking this throw exception if the rowcount is o.
