Plot - Incorrect Axis Information Displayed

The issue is with the Y-Axis display of a plot. The plot is generated
within a FOR loop which add a new line of data on each step and makes
use of the plot "keep" keyword.
The resulting plot incorrectly displays the Y-axis scale. For example
the diplayed Y-Axis scale is -0.3, --0.2, -0.1, 0, 0.1, 0.2, however
the data spans -0.3 through 0.3. Double-Clicking on the y-axis reveals
that it "thinks" it is -0.3 to 0.3 at 0.1 intervals.
I have attached an executable MS which pauses between it data set. If
you watch the bottom-left plot you will see the "red" line initial with
a y-value of approximately 0.1, but by the end appears at 0.4.
Note: If you try to change the y-axis scale "interactively" in the plot
window, the data appears to respect the new scale, but the scale
labels do not update.
Note: It appears that I cannot attach a *.ms file, please rename the *.txt file to *.ms and "execute" from MATRIXx.

I narrowed down the issue to the last command in your .ms file:

If you take this statement out of your script, everything executes as it should. I will look into this matter further and report the problem to our R&D department.

Creative Zen (16GB Model) showing incorrect song information

<Creative Zen (6GB Model) showing incorrect song information I was given a Creative Zen for christmas, and I'm very happy with it.
The only thing is, I've noticed that it seems to occasionally display the wrong title for the song it's playing. I have a playlist called RandomAll which I created using the Media Explorer software. Sometimes, when I look down at the player, I'll notice the wrong song information on screen. Not just the title or anything, but completely wrong information. For example, right now, my player is telling my that a Rihanna song is playing, and gives me all the details for that song (including the extended details if I go into the menu). But the song that's actually playing is a cover of Fraggle Rock by Me First & The Gimme Gimmes. It doesn't seem to be the same songs every time or anything like that, so I don't think it's a problem with the files.
Is this an issue that has been noticed by anyone else? Is there anything I can do to fix it's And if not, is it the kind of thing I need to send my player back for?

@ It could be incorrect ID3 tags on your .mp3s, if the source for your music had the wrong ID3 information, your Zen won't show the correct information unless you use an? ID3 Tag Editor to correct the source.

Incorrect PDF being displayed periodically in the browser

I want to start by thanking anyone who could shed light on this problem.
We have a web application that dynamically generates PDF files per a user request in a web application. 98% of the time the proper PDF gets opened in the browser correctly, whether it be IE or Firefox. The other 2% of the time, no matter what url data was requested from, an incorrect PDF is displayed. This incorrect PDF that gets displayed is one that was requested and opened in a previous request and could still be open in a browser tab. Once this state is reached all PDFs that are requested do not line up with the requested PDF, meaning they are all incorrect. Once the browser is refreshed the problem stops happening for another stretch of time.
I have read posts that discuss placing a random number in the url to "trick" the browser plugin from thinking it already has the PDF. We have done that. In fact this issue appears to not be impacted at all by the url. For example, when this problem happens I can go to https://appname/one/pdf and get the PDF that was requested and sent back when I went to https://appname/two/pdf. These are two clearly different urls even without the random number that we placed on the end as a parameter and I still receive the PDF from the second URL.
We debugged the server side code and we are 100% sure that we are sending the correct PDF back to the client by streaming the PDF to a file on the server prior to sending it back to the client.
One thing I have noticed is that currently we are not specifying the Content-Disposition header when we return the PDF to the browser. This means that there is no filename being provided to the front end and the plugin. Is it possible that the Adobe Reader plugin eventually gets confused as to what file to display if there is no specific file name provided for the PDF from the server, with the keyword there being eventually as it is an intermittent problem?
We can easily set the Content-Disposition header to be attachment; filename="somename.pdf" but given the intermittent nature of this bug we would like to get some feedback as to if this fix is logical given this issue. If it is not logical we would appreciate any other information that may help us troubleshoot this issue. The alternative is to rewrite the document generation code to output HTML, and I really do not want to do that.
We are using the Adobe Acrobat 9.4.5.236 add-on to Firefox 10.0.3, Adobe Reader 9.4.0, and Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702. All of these versions are not able to be upgraded, meaning this is the baseline we have to support. We also operate, still, on Window XP Professional Service Pack 3.
One last comment, client side operations by the user are not valid solutions either. I have already suggested asking the user to uncheck the open in browser option in Adobe Reader but our customer does not find that to be a valid solution. To date we have not been able to recreate the issue when the PDF is opened in Adobe Reader proper and not the browser.

In case someone, other than me, stumbles across this post. The solution I suggested in the opening post did not work. When a user opens a PDF using the Reader Plug-in in Firefox they still have the potential to see the previous PDF. The interesting thing is, as it appears right now, that this only occurs when a user closes a Firefox tab that contained the previous PDF and then triggers a different PDF to be opened in Firefox. What seems to be happening is that the Reader Plug-in ignores the file it is supposed to open and recycles the PDF that was in that tab before it was closed. Which is funny because the URL of that tab points to the new file that was downloaded into the temp directory but the contents of the tab is still the previous PDF. Not sure if the plug-in just doesn't clean out the previous contents or what but it clearly is an issue that resides in the Adobe Reader Plug-in for Firefox.
I am not sure what we are going to do at the moment but if we find a solution, other than don't open the PDF in Firefox, I will be sure to post it here. However, for right now there is nothing coming to mind.

Macbook pro shows incorrect storage information on SSD.

I am using a macbook pro. The storage information is shown wrongly. Control I shows the correct information but finder and space bar on the hard disk show incorrect storage information. Used space is actually 122 GB which is shown as 140 GB. Even omnidiskkeeper shows the breakup of 122 GB but the storage information summary shows 140GB.

   Re-index Macintosh HD.
   Spotlight reindexing will take a while to finish.

When open form there is no information displayed

Hi,
I created a form on a sql query. I also created a Page process (process point is ‘on load - After header’).
But when I open this form there is no information displayed. I thought that it’s not necessary to fill al the item in the form in the page process.
But how do I get my information displayed?

It looks like you have not so much experience with this kind of setup - having a report, clicking a report row and editing a single record. That is quite basic. There are also some how-to's:

Conditional Report in the column will do exactly that kind of drill-down and fetch a record by providing a primary key.
So, if your setup doesn't work it will mean that you have made a mistake somewhere (this is 100% sure). If I am asking you to create an example that means I don't want to waste my and your time. Try using a basic emp - dept tables and you will get it working.

Making debug information display - more questions

Hi all - I work on a remote CF server and need debugging information displayed at all times. Unfortunately, I lost my dedicated IP address which could be plugged into the server, which gave me the privilege of seeing the information i need.
Earlier this week, I left a message on this forum related to this issue and was told to use <CFSetting ... to resolve the issue.
I've tried it and have not been able to see server variables and other debug information information.
Will this tag override the server variable "Enable Debugging" if that is set to "no"? (I suspect not, but no hurt in asking.)
Also, is there some way or some service that can take my new dynamic IP and resolve it to a static IP number? Right now, I use dynDns.com to resolve the issue, but this results in a domain name, and not a domain IP, which can be used in CF MX Administrator.

Do I understand how this tag is supposed to work? I want to see all server information on every page. Does CFSetting only work when there is an error? Arrrrrrggggggg - I'm very needy right at the moment to resolve this issue.

As I replied in your earlier post, NO <cfsetting....> does not override the debug setting in the administrator.
If debugging is turned off in the administrator, ColdFusion does not generate ANY debugging data. This is a performance gain, and is often done on production servers.
For the <cfsetting....> tag to work. Debugging has to be turned on, AND you have to be connecting to the server with an IP that is allowed to see the debugging. If there are now IP's set in the filter, then ALL IPs can see the debugging output.
This is what many ISP's will do. They will turn on debugging and provide no IP filters so that every user will see the debugging output and leave up to the developers to use the <cfsetting....> tag to display or not display the output as desired.
To answer your second question. DNS is not going to help you. You need to provide an IP address, DNS is for providing an Domain Name to substitue for an IP address.
The only idea I could have, is if you could find a proxy service that would give you another IP address and then proxy that address to yours. But that sounds like a rather flaky option to me.

Details page : no information display.

I'm new on OA F. so started with the tutorials exercises.
At the end of exercise "Drilldown to Details", my page didn't look like expected.
I should have a link to display details of an employee.
I do have a link, it does got me to the details page, BUT there is no informations display face to the prompt of each properties.
I do compile properly so there is no log.
I tried to use the debug mode but it seems to me that I am not going into the method "intiDetails()" at the right time.
When I click on the link, I expect to enter the method but I don't.
(I do when I start the "debug EmpDetailsPG.xml" command on jDev)
I checked I have correctly written the parameters in the property "Destination URL" of the component used for the link :

I compared with the solution given in LabSolutions project but I didn't find my mistake.

Thanks for your answer. I hadn't thought of using S.O.P. ... I gave up a while ago this habit and became used to IDE debuggers.
So, I tried your trick but I had the same problem : I didn't reached the processRequest() of my controller when I clicked the detail's link.
I had the thought to check whether or not a controller was specified for my EmpDetailPG. Indeed, there was not.
I tried to add EmployeeDetailsCO as the controller class in "MainRN" wich is the messageComponentLayout of the pageLayout of EmpDetailPG.
At that time, I was able to see my values on the console (which is an improvement !) but I had a technical error in my page.
So I defined the controller class not in MainRN but in PageLayoutRN (which is the pageLayout of EmpDetailPG, as you may guessed) and it dit it !
I don't know why it should be define in the pageLayout instead of messageComponentLayout, but it's working.

Stacked Plot y-axis property access.

STACKED PLOT Y-AXIS
I have a stacked waveform chart showing four plots
Each plot correctly appears on a different sub-plot
I can use the set active plot property to loop through the four plots and change their names, visibility etc.
I can also read which is their active y scale index which corresponds to the plot index (i.e.both 0-3)
BUT
When I try and change a y scale property (e.g. label>text) it only ever changes the top sub plot label
I have tried forcing the active Y-scale index also to no avail.
I have also tried an overlay plot with 4 different y-axis and have the same problem.
HOW DO I SET TEH INDIVIDUAL Y-SCALE PROPERTIES ON A STACKED PLOT?

I made 2 small modifications to your VI, take a look at the attached.
First you needed to set the active Y scale rather then setting the index. But more importantly the property node you are using to set the values is linked to the wrong graph.
Let me know if the attached does what you where looking for.

Freeware for manufacturing information display

Hi all,
I got 5 big LCD monitors that will be put at the different location in production area. And then 1 desktop PC to send message/command to all 5 LCD when each of LCD display different message. So, may I know whether any of you know which freeware that can help me to solve this matter.
I do think to link up MS excel 2013 file (table) into MS PowerPoint 2013. It worked when I update the column/field in excel and it will automatically update in the PowerPoint. But, it not solve when I need to display different information/display at different LCD. I do not know whether excel or powerpoint got features where I can solve this matter.
Kindly share your opinions.

As far as i know there is no mouse over selection event. So what you are trying to achieve is not possible .
Other options are obvious i think, let the lead selection happen like navigation list and via view switch display respective view.

CLID - Forwarded Call Information Display

All of the phones below are 79xx phones within the same cluster, same partitions and with the same CSSes.
Phone A forwards all of his calls to Phone C.
Phone B calls Phone A, but sees the alerting name and extension for Phone C on his display.
Under the line configuration, Forwarded Call Information Display, the only items checked are Caller Name and Dialed Number. How can I get Phone B to see Phone A's information even though Phone A is forwarded to Phone C?

I tried it to using a Translation Pattern.
and I was only able to restrict it but not to change it.
Afaik Originator IP Phone will use SCCP CallInfo message and will display the contents of:
calledPartyName=
calledParty=
field after a CallState callState=3

for 4.13 SR3C, there is no option for manipulating the CLID information during a Call Forward between IP Phone calls.
if you have an IP Phone call through a QSig gateway (ISDN), then there are parameters in the 'service parameters' section of ccmAdmin that can be set.
(this does not seem like the case in your environment)
to make this work in your environment, you'll have to setup the phone C with the alerting/numbers you want displayed to phone A, when it calls phone B while cfwd'd to phone C.
(not a real good solution and not recommended for obvious reasons)

Channel information display

This is a suggestion: Is there a way to disable the menu information? I would like to jump through the channels without a third of the screen covered by the information. Can you look into this ? and give us the option to have the information displayed or not. It gets tiresome constantly hitting ok to remove it from the screen. It stays up there too long.

You CAN adjust how long it stays up, but not eliminate it.

Bar chart with dual axis plotting incorrectly

I have created a BAR_VERT_CLUST2Y, which has 4 series of data.
The problem I am experiencing is that when the data is charted, it appears that only the first series of data charts correctly (i.e. from the left axis). The second series of data charts from the right axis and the remaining series all chart on the left axis. I would have thought that the first and second series use the left axis and the third and fourth use the right?
I would be grateful if anyone had any suggestions how this can be resolved or if they have come across something similar and found a way around it, it would be much appreciated?

Xcelsius does not currently support dual axis. However, the workaround to this is to layer two charts on top of each other. You would then need to add line components and labels to complete the effect.

Storage Information Displaying Incorrectly...

My storage shows that I have 76GB of audio... But itunes only shows 38 GB of audio... where is this extra audio hiding? Is our new Air showing the wrong info? We just got it at month or so ago.

The iTunes audio may well be smaller than your overall audio. For example, if you purchase MP3 audio from some website like Amazon.com, it may well be duplicated on your MacBook Air. Similarly, depending on how you have organized your music library for items you may have imported from CD, they may be duplicated as well.

Incorrect menu being displayed after several forms are called and closed

Have been searching and agonizing for a few hours and still can't find the reason for this.

The starting form (main_form) has a custom menu (cus_menu) and this is displayed when the user begins the application. Form B can be called in two different ways:
1) Directly from the main_form menu, here is the code: call_form('FORM_B',HIDE,DO_REPLACE);2) Via a button from another form, Form C which is called from the menu in the same way as Form B was. Code for the button is same as above.
The menu attached to Form B is another custom menu (b_cus_menu).
The problem occurs when Form B is called via the second method.
Here are the steps,
1) From main_form, Form C is called from the menu (cus_menu)
2) Button is pressed that calls Form B (call_form('FORM_B',HIDE,DO_REPLACE);).
3) Menu correctly changes to b_cus_menu
4) Form B is closed and now Form C is visible. Menu correctly reverts to the menu set for form C.
5) Form C is closed and main_form is now visible. Menu incorrectly reverts to the menu used in form B (b_cus_menu) instead of cus_menu.

Problem seems to only occur when Form B has the same window name as the main form. Strange...
