Pls help: How to get MIC/LINE IN device plug IN event

Dear All,
I wants to do something(say capture audio) whenever the user plugs the MIC/LINE IN device in to the port. Is there any way to capture that event same way event identification for PLUG the MIC/LINE IN device out... Please help me on this..

you correctly used TO_DATE to convert a date string to a date value. for display, you can use TO_CHAR to convert the date value to a character value, giving whatever output format you desire

Hi experts,
I need to find the ip addr of the client which makes the remote call.
I tried using
java.rmi.server.RemoteServer.getClientHost()
But it throws ServerNotActiveException .
When I tried this in RMI it works fine perfectly.
If i am right EJB is just similar to RME and it should work in it too..
Can you please help me in finding out the ip address of the client which makes the ejb call.

There is no portable way to do this in the Remote EJB programming model. The bean class
is written in a way that is agnostic to those kind of plumbing-related details of the caller.

Here I am using Java Type IV for database
connection.
So,there was no necessity of creating DNS.How your app communicates with db shouldn't matter for the end user. Still, you may want to use a functional network name also for the thin client driver connection string.
So,is there any other way to solve this problem.What is the problem really? Do you not use dns for network naming? Maybe you have to manage the hosts file on every client then.

How to get trending line in the graph

Hi,
I am using 10g. I have requirement as the following :
Name Date Metric
I can have bar graph against Date and Metric. My requirement is to have a trending line, so I calculated slope and regression line y=mx+c but I am not getting the right trend line. I can use regr_slope function to create a view in rpd but it doesnt support date values. Can you guys let me know how to get trending line like same in Excel.

How to get file line count.

Hey guys,
How to get file line count very fast? I am using BufferedReader to readLine() and count. But when dealing with big file, say several GB size, this process will be very time consuming.
Is there any other methods?

What I'd do is you create an infofetcher, register a listener, implement gotMore() and have that scan for '\n'
Some might suggest getting rid of the listener/sender pattern or use multiple threads to make ii faster. This might help a little, but only if your I/O is super-duper speedy.

As Muse doesn't come with all typekit fonts already included in the dropdown list of webfonts, I'd like to know how I can add a typekit font to the dropdown menu so I can use it for my website. I have Adobe creative cloud membership.
I've searched the whole of the web and can't find anything about this at all - only about adding one of the existing muse typekit fonts which I already know how to do.
Why doesn't Adobe include all typekit fonts with Muse when you're already a full creative cloud subscriber?

how to get 2nd line in smartforms main window using template. i have also defined loop .

if possible can you try with the TABLES..
Put one TABLE in your MAIN window
create table lines as per your requirment...consider all lines like 6 for header, 1 for main, 1 for total
Now, you will find three section under the tables: header, main, footer...
in header section, create a table line, assign one of the proper lines from the line types.. repeat for your all lines.
in main section, you can access your data form the loop.
the footer secion will be called, just after the main will be finished.

I'm developing an application where a file is need to be saved as pdf. But, if there is already a pdf file with same name in the specified directory, I wish to overwrite it. And in the overwrite case, read-only files should not be overwritten. If the duplicate(old) file is opened in windows (Win7) explorer preview, it is write protected. So, it should not be overwritten. I tried to get the '
FILE_ATTRIBUTE_READONLY' using MS API 'GetFileAttributes', but it didn't succeed. How Adobe marks the file as read-only for preview? Do I need to check some other attribute of the file?

The Settings > General > Software Update option only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, as you have iOS 4 you can only update to iOS 7 (that is the only version that you can update to) via your computer's iTunes, as described half-way down the page that you posted from. Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases.
