PLW-06015 when compilling for debug

Hi,
I have the error message: "Warning(1): PLW-06015: parameter PLSQL_DEBUG is deprecated; use PLSQL_OPTIMIZE_LEVEL = 1"
each time I compile for debug.
The Oracle database parameters are
plsql_warnings ENABLE:ALL
plsql_debug FALSE
plsql_optimize_level 2
So Why do I have this message?
Seb

Yes,
I can modify everything under Database - PL/SQL Compiler.
Optimization Level is already set to 2.
Here are the other preferences:
ALL: ENABLE
INFORMATIONAL: not set
SEVERE: not set
PERFORMANCE: not set
PLScope identifiers: All
The user for the schema has the DEBUG CONNECT SESSION.
When I change Optimization level to 1 and compile or compile for debug, I always receive the warning message.
When I change Optimization level to 2, I always receive the warning message only when I compile for debug,
In case of, the SQL developer version I use is Version 2.1.1.64 Build MAIN-64.39.

  • Compile for Debug accelerator key

    Hello all,
    it seems it's not possible to set an accelerator key for the "Compile for debug" command, at least I cannot find how to.
    Any ideas? If it's not possible, I would like to suggest it for a future release.
    With kind regards,

    It's not possible currently, you can log the request over at the exchange sqldeveloper.oracle.com

  • Oracle SQL Developer Release 1.5.5 "compile for debug"

    Using Oracle SQL Developer Release 1.5.5 on Windows XP pro machine connecting to 9.2.0.4 database on AIX machine.
    Trying to debug a procedure, in the navigator window, I rt-clk the procedure and select "Compile for Debug", then nothing happens. This happens for every procedure I've tried. I've been granted both DEBUG ANY PROCEDURE and DEBUG CONNECT SESSION. Any ideas?

    This is the first I've used SQL Developer, so I'll take the blame. I had not noticed that the Messages Log does in fact tell me that the proc compiled. However, the debug icon (little red bug) was nowhere to be found.
    I see now that I need to Edit, not Open, the proc in order to debug. If I had read the Help screens a little more closely, I would have seen that I needed to be in Edit mode. My bad. Thanx to all for your responses.

    Sinious thanks for your answer.
    I tried compiling from adt and it worked using this command line script.
    @set java_cmd="C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CC\jre\bin\java.exe"
    @set java_param=-Xmx8192m -jar
    @set adt_cmd="C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CC\AIR4.0\lib\adt.jar"
    @set target=ipa-test
    @set cert=samples.p12
    @set cert_pass=12345

    pause
    Still there is now a different problem.
    When trying to compile more than a certain number of external swfs (eg. 350) then the process never ends. The java.exe  process consumes all of my memory and it is just stuck there for hours( I've waited for it to compile for nearly 10 hours before I killed the java.exe process). When I randomly remove some swfs then everything goes fine and the process finishes after nearly half an hour or so.
    The pc i'm using has an i7 processor with 16gb of ram and the java process consumes it all even though i've set a limit using the -Xmx8192m command.
    Is there a problem with the xmx command?
    Do i need even more ram to compile a larger number of swfs.
    Is there a way to monitor the java process in order to catch any errors that occur or maybe use any different java params to control ram usage limits?
    Thank you for your help.

  • PLS-00801 error during compile for debug

    Hi,
    I am working as an oracle consultant, hired by an insurance company to rewrite some stuf they made...
    They are using a lot of procedures with nested functions/procedures instead of packages :-(
    Something strange happens though. if you have a procedure with a global cursor declaration, used as a parameterrowtype in a nested function/procedure, the source will not compile to debug (error PLS-00801), unless you delare a global rowtype of that cursor. I pasted some test source within this e-mail where the error is reproducable.
    If the commented line ' -- rg_tst cg_tst%rowtype;' is enabled, the procedure will compile. when its commented, it will compile normally, but NOT with debug option...
    Anyone familiar with this prob?
    thanx,

    Fundamentally it means the database connection has been lost, but they may be an underlying error.
    Try the following to give yourself more chance of seeing the underlying error.
    1. Run sqldeveloper from <sqldev>\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.exe. This will leave a console window open.
    2. If the problem occurs, look for error messages in the console.
    Can you compile other procedures for debug without the error? Try creating a minimalist for testing.

    Hi,
    The main cause of this error message is the large array size. You configured a 16-bit fixed-size array with 4096 element for a total array size of 65536 (16 * 4096). Array uses a lot of FPGA resource and the general recommendation to limit the use and size of array as much as possible on the FPGA VI. This VI will certainly overmap the FPGA resource because of the large array size.
    Although this error message is not directly related to the array size, it has however been reported to R&D (#4G3COBJ0) for further investigation. A possible workaround would be to reduce the size of the array or use DMA FIFO to pass the data to the host.
    Thanks for the feedback!

  • Classes not found when compiling for jdk1.3.1_01 on red hat 7.2

    I have just installed jdk1.3.1_01 (rpm) on linux red hat 7.2

    public static void main( String args[] )
    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog( null, "Hello", "Test Dialog",

    When compiled it generates the error:
    JTest.java:10: error:Variable "JOptionPane" is not defined in current context
    I have the path and classpath set to what I think are the correct directory paths.
    Any advice would be much appreciated!
    Thanks..

    Sorry, typo in the classpath... but now when I compile
    I get error: "segmentation fault" then nothing else.
    This also happens when I execute a precompiled app (eg
    "java OldApp").This is to do with GLIBC-2.2, I believe. :/ (Pointed out by Niteen. :)
    "ulimit -s 2048" should fix this. Adding this line to /etc/profile or your ~/.profile shall automatically run this command every log in.

    Ack! Please ignore my earlier posting. I did not play close enough attention to details in your post. I apologize for the confusion. Let me start over:
    The Studio Express release you have contains a newer version of the C++ runtime library libCstd.so.1 than is available yet in Solaris patches. We bump the internal version number when we add new interfaces. The internal version number of the Studio Express library is SUNW_1.3.2. The version of the latest release Solaris patch is SUNW_1.3.1.
    Some new string class operator functions are in version SUNW_1.3.2. I think these are also defined as inline functions in the compiler headers. When you compile with -g, inlining is disabled, and you create a dependency on library version SUNW_1.3.2. (Compiling with -g0 allows function inlining, and might resolve your problem, but read on.)
    We have not released a libCstd.so.1 with internal version SUNW_1.4.2, so I don't understand how that version number could appear in an error message. Did you really see that version, or is it a transcription error? For now, let's assume it is a transcription error.
    When you compile and link with CC, the program gets a runpath pointing into the compiler installation area. At program run time, the loader looks for libraries in directories listed in the runpath, with /lib and /usr/lib as last resort. The "ldd" command reports what the runtime loader will do regarding dependent libraries.
    If the compiler is installed in /opt, a 32-bit program gets a runpath that includes /opt/SUNWspro/lib. In that directory in Sun Studio Express is a symbolic link that points to ../prod/usr/lib/libCstd.so.1, the library with version SUNW_1.3.2.
    If you try this:
    % /opt/SUNWspro/bin/CC hello.cc
    % ldd a.out
    you should see, among other things,
    libCrun.so.1 => /opt/SUNWspro/lib/libCstd.so.1
    (Depending on the OS version, you might see
    libCrun.so.1 => /opt/SUNWspro/prod/usr/lib/libCstd.so.1 instead.)
    But if ldd can't resolve the library, you probably have a corrupted Sun Studio Express installation. In that case, uninstall it, and reinstall from a fresh download.
    If you run the program on a different computer where Sun Studio Express is not installed, the loader won't be able to find the right library version, and you will get "not found" results. I addressed this issue in another thread:

  • Redraw issues when compile for Air

    This is about redraw issues which occur in Flash, when I try to compile a file in Air 2.6. The initial files were built in inDesign CS5.5, saved as a FLA, and opened in Flash CS5.5.
    I created a test file in inDesign to be used as an Air App, as I saw discussed and done on several videos on Adobe.tv. The file has 3 pages. The pages are pretty simple. Though there are some  clipping paths and animation.
    Here are the steps:
    1.
    I ported the filed to Flash, as a FLA.
    2.
    I opened the FLA in Flash, and added some more animation.
    I added simple code so the file will go from frame to frame, (what were the pages in inDesisgn), on mouse click in the frame.
    3.
    If I complie it is Flash, it works.
    4.
    If I compile it in Air, which I want to do, when it gets to the last page, it starts to have redraw-issues.
    When  the user clicks on page/frame 3, (the last page), there is AS3 code,  a gotoAndStop(), which normally  takes the user back to frame 1. But in Air, the user gets to page one,  but only sees page 3, thinking they are on page 3, as the redraw of page 1 never occurs. I tested this very  carefully, by rebuilding the whole thing and removing every element and all code and starting over piece by piece to isolate the issue.
    5.
    The  issue seems to be, if I remove all the pagespreads from inDesign, which the FLA transformed into "movieclips" in Flash, it works fine without redraw issues. If I  add any of the pagespread movieclips to a frame in the Flash file, as they were when  imported, the redraw issue occurs, but only when I compile in Air.
    Have  you heard of this before? I was wondering if there might be some  settting in Air that is conflicting with the inDesign created pages which are now movieclips in Flash. I am hoping there is something that I can do to  fix it, as I would like to continue to create the spreads in inDesign.
    I  am working on a PC in Windows Vista. I wondered if this was the issue  as well. I can share the file if you want to see it, compiled in flash,  and compiled in Air or the FLA.
    Thanks very much,
    e

    I fixed it. it was not the code. it was the use of text. This time  when exporting to an FLA from indesign, I  turned the TLF text to pixels, and now it compiles  fine. I isolated the problem by dismantling each item in the indesign  spread, and seeing when the problem occured. once I removed the type, it  had no issues. I was using hanging indents. Maybe that was the issue.  All I know is once I turned off the TLF text option, there are no  problems.It is sad to lose that feature. but at least it works, and I  would rather have my type look well formatted with hanging intents, and  correct kearning, even if i have to rasterize it first.
    geez. that was fun.

    Yes.
    OK, I know it's not supposedly a 'supported' development platform for iPhone but it's been doing me just fine so far.
    I managed to figure out (through endless googling) that there is no NSPoint or NSRect on iPhone (or the associated methods), you have to use CGRect and CGPoint instead (which apparently are identical internally).

  • Strange warning when compiling for iOS, "PIE disabled", Is it safe to submit to the App Store?

    I get this warning when building:
    ld: warning: PIE disabled. Absolute addressing (perhaps -mdynamic-no-pic) not allowed in code signed PIE, but used in _llvm_unwind from AOTBuildOutput-0.o. To fix this warning, don't compile with -mdynamic-no-pic or link with -Wl,-no_pie
    The app appears to be fine so far, and I haven't seen it mess up anything functionally yet, but am still testing.
    Edit: I am also curious as to what exactly this is. I think it is possibly related to an ANE that I NEED to use to work around a bug in AIR.

    I have never seen this warning cause any issues with the app so far.
