PO Form printing issue.

Hi Guys,
Our ABAPer changed a PO form and moved into QA and PRD. It is printing properly in QA. In PRD the bold feature is gone and printing crappy. Its the same form Why is it doing that in PRD. If any of you guys know where to post, please let me know.

Please check the printer settings in PRD and Quality.Its the problem of printer.Try to take d printout on another printer.or compare the printer settings in both systems.

Smart form printing issue with LOCL printer and SAP printer

The issues are as follows:
1. the top portion of the Invoice and PO does not print when using the SAP printer (works when using LOCL)
2. the shaded areas of the Order Confirmation and Invoice are black when printing to a SAP printer (works when using LOCL)
In an attempt to correct the printing issue is was suggested that we change the SAP printer device type from HPLJ4 to POST2. This did address the problem where the shaded areas were black but then we received reports that other reports printed "garbage". Its possible that using POST2 device type causes issues when printing to HP compatible printers.
Apparently all the testing was done using the SAP printer LOCL and not the SAP printer name and SAP spool system. LOCL uses the SAP GUI and Windows system to produce the output. Our production users at the plant site and Toledo are using SAP defined printers with the device type of HPLJ4. HPLJ4 is our standard here as OC for our printer definitions and we have HP compatible printers installed in our Toledo location and all of our remote sites. We need to be able to correctly print the Invoices, Purchase Orders, Sales Order Confirmations on our SAP printers.
What can be done to the reports to allow them to print on our HPLJ4?

Hi Prathap,
Check the background shading of the windows of the Smartform where you get the black boxes. If it is set something like this:
Color: White
Saturation: 100%
this can be the problem.
I know it is strange but some black and white printers cannot handle this setting. They only know one color black so the ignore the color setting and just take the saturation 100% setting.
The reason it works with local and device type SAPWIN is that the print data is created in Windows and sent to the printer as graphic.
Please change the shading for window MAIN -> tab 'Output Options' to:
Color: Black
Saturation: 0%
and this should resolve the problem.
Then create a new spool and check if the problem is resolved. See SAP Note #400050.

Smart Form printing issue in repeate page

Hi,
We have one smartfforms printing some notification details in which Only one page layout is use and it is repeated again at one block Upper margin is 18.23 and Height is 9.60 CM on first page it is printing properly but on second page it is stating at Upper margin is 18.23 properly but not printing total height it is printing only two rows on second line.
how to solve it
the block is a interbal table and it is printing material and qty. of that table if material is more means there are more than 8 material then it is printing only upto 11 rows remaining rows it is not printing.

Editable form printing issues

Hi,
I have created a form with InDesign CS6, simple text fields with a submit button set up to send it via email to my colleague.
I have saved it as reader extended. Recepients can open and complete the form as well as save it. However they can't print it.
Yet when I remove the submit button it prints fine.
When attempting to print, the page appears in print preview, but nothing but a blank page comes out.
Is this a bug or intentional?

Editable form printing issue

I have created a form with InDesign CS6. Simple text fields with a submit button set up to email the form to my colleague.
After I have exported the form and saved it as reader extended, recepients can enter and save data, submit it to my colleague but can't print it.
In the printer dialogue box, the page preview shows the page, however it comes out as a blank page.

Script Form print issue with output type

i have maintained a output type for a purchase organisation in MN04, VN partner keep blank , medium 1 for print out and in date time : 4
output device is 'LOCL' "print immediately" and "release after output" are active in communication.
a message type generated when i created a PO, but it is a red light, and processing log is "Error in OPEN_FORM for document xxx".
after checked, custom script from caused this issue, but how to resolve this problem?

The error ME142 can have different causes like missing authorizations
or a terminated connection. Please see SAP notes 397691 and 532251. This note
states that is errors occur when purchasing documents are output, If
errors occur when purchasing documents are output, the system generates
an error message in the message log of the message overview. However,
error message ME142 'Error in OPEN_FORM for document &' contains only
the information that an error occurred and not the error cause. With the
attached source code, the error cause is also displayed in the error
message.

HP打印机时，打印方式是frontend吗？
用EPSON时也是用同样的打印方式吗？
Frontend（F,G)是调用windows的字体，打印机内部没有装中文字体也没有关系，照样可以打印中文。
其它打印方式:L,C不会调用windows的字体，打印机内部必须要装中文字体，才能打印中文。

Hi,
I had a similar problem and found help for it. Go to the "Advanced" menu and select Extend features in Adobe Reader. That will enable rights which may resolve your problem. If that doesn't work, there is a really helpful guy in here, Robert Levine. You may want to ask him directly.

Regarding Smart Form Printing, Print Preview issues

I have couple of issues regarding Smart Form Printing, Print Preview.
In my program i am passing below parameters to smart form function module:
t_control-device = c_printer.
t_control-no_dialog = space.
t_control-preview = space.
t_control-no_dialog = c_x.
t_output-tddest = g_spld.
t_output-tdimmed = c_x. " Print Immediately
t_output-tddelete = space. " Don't Release spool after output
g_user_settings = c_x.
Issue#1: Though i have set preview paramter to space, after executing program it is prompting for Preview Screen, There again i have to give printer name though i am passing printer name as above and i need to hit on print preview button to set Layout output.
Here how can i go directly to layout output without preview screen.
Issue#2: In some cases we need to Print the layout set output after executing program immediately without prompting for preview screen and then Layout set output should also be shown after printing the output.
How can i solve these issues!

Hi,
In the SAP menu screen goto <b>System->User Profile->Own data</b>
There in the defaults tab, for the output device give the value you had maintained for <b>g_spld.</b> This will not prompt you a dialog screen, and if you want to print immediately select the checkbox as well. Then try to execute the smartform. Hope this solves ur issue.

That's a limitation of Apple's AirPrint framework that Adobe Reader depends on. We are considering an alternate solution that may resolve this issue though.

How to get the form printed through the transaction ME42

How to get the form printed through the transaction ME42.
For example :
In t.code vf03 . In the main menu there is an option billing document , when we click on that we get a drop down menu which shows issue output to. If a print program call has the code to get the value from the t.code , immdiately when we click issue output to it call the form.

Here go to ME42 put in your RFC no, in the menu Header -- Messages, go there and see if a message has been inserted, else you can insert one.
when you save this, it will call the form.

SAP form- Printing all pages on same page

HI Gurus,
We are facing a strange issue while printing more than one page.
The system generates the spool with the correct number of pages , but the printer prints all pages on the same paper (the word of one page over the words of other pages) ?!?!?!?!
The program prints all pages correctly if I print from another program a report for example . Also if I print with only one page it goes fine.
Hence i assume it cannot be a printer issue.
Did anyone faced any kind of similar issues? Pls let me know if u have any solution to this.

Magenta Printing Issues in CS5 and LR3

Hi,
   I have seen this issue mentioned in various forms over the last year or so but I have yet to see a real solution to the problem I am now experiencing.
History:
   I was running a Vista 64b OS and using LR 2.X and Epson's r2880 printer. I was able to print using LR 2.X without any issues both in B&W and color using the various papers, using iccs provided by various vendors (Moab for example) I never had the Magenta printing issues.
Fast Forward:
   I recently installed LR3 and CS5 under the same OS (Vista 64b) and when I print in color it is obviously Magenta heavy.   I am following the same practices as before of having LR3 manage the color (using one of the vendor iccs) and setting "No Color Managment" in the printer driver UI. Doing this gives me terrible crazy Magenta prints. I have un-installed and re-installed the Epson Printer driver numerous times with no positive effect. The causal effect was installing CS5 and LR3. These were the only changes made.
I also did try and print in CS5 with the same Magenta results. I posted in this thread along with the LR board also as I feel the LR3 and CS5 issue is related to some common theme.
I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem and had found a solution other than switching over to a Mac.
This is very frustrating and depressing.

1) Re-install the printer drivers
2) Runnning the printer through nozzle checks and cleaning cycles. Had to peform the cleaning cycle 3 times.
3) Replacing the yellow ink cartridge. The ink level was showing about 15% remaining but in fact I was out of yellow ink. I had read that the ink levels were not always accurate.
So for me this issue has been solved. Thanks for the help.
