PO Item Numbering

Hello,
via IDOC I get PO data for creation and changing. The item numbering of the incoming PO's is different, some time 00001 other times 00010. During creation the numbering will controlled by customizing setting of PO type. It will be done in steps of 1. For the incomming items I have no iformation if item 10 ist the first or the 10th.
Can I switch off PO item numbering of customizing?
Regards
Norbert

Hi
I dont think this makes any issue in the PO creation.... But at the time of changing it may does...as in the first idoc if you receive PO with item 1 & in the change idoc if you recive 10 then the System will throw an error message saying item 10 does not exist....
SAP sytem here it is working fine ....the Change & Control has to be implemented in the Supplying sytem... that would be the Correct solution for this
Thanks & Regards
Kishore

  • Keep Quote line item numbers in Sales order

While creating a Sales order from Quote, SAP always creates line items with 100,200,300...and so on.
If quote has 3 line items say 100,110, & 120 and we create a sales order with reference to this quote in VA01. The sales order line items become 100,200 & 300.
The requirement is for Sales order to also have same line item numbers i.e. 100,110 & 120.
To retain quote line item numbers in Sales order the ABAP change will be in VOFM or user exit?

    Hi,
It is not a straight forward thing. Adding data to table XVBAP won't work. It will create inconsistency. There are so many other tables involve here too, like, VBPA, VBUP, VBKD, KONV. There can be other tables too based on how your sales order is configured.
Also, modifying these tables (XTAB, YTAB ) in this user-exit may cause database inconsistency.

  • How to use Find Change to add FC in front of all item numbers?

    Hello,
I am using Indesign CS5 on iMac, running OS 10.8.3.
I designed a product catalog that has 148 pages. Now I need to save the same design and make a new catalog for our wholesalers. On the wholesalers catalog I need to change the item numbers and add FC in front of each item number. How can I use find change to find each item and change them with FC in front of the item numbers? The following are a few examples of the item numbers:
LED-4042 I want to change it to FCLED-4042
UA-42 I want to change it to FCUA-42
    SC-110 change it to FCSC-110
    KN-10 change it to FCKN-10
    etc....
I am hoping there is a fast way to find and change these.  I was looking in to GREP, but I could not figure how to do this.
    Thanks,
    Omar

One way would be to just run it and then *remove* any double FC's -- but GREP can do even more! One of its many functions is to scan ahead for the presence or absence of certain text, and only act when it is (or it is not) there. This is called "lookbehind" (before the text you want to match) and "lookahead" (after the text you want to match).
In this case, you want to find a phrase starting with capitals, but NOT the exact string "FC". That's a job for Negative Lookahead -- Only Match If Not.
    Try this: search for
    \b(?!FC)\u+-\d+\b
... the Replace With stays the same.

    Dear Experts ,
We are in a process of upgradation and during Unit testing I am facing a issue for which i require your suggestions.
While Converting the Planned order to prod Ord in CO40 every thing is ok except when i check in component overview i get a msg "No more free item numbers (Please check)" and the BOM item numbers are visible as 9999 where as it should be 0010 & 0020 .May i know why is it so and how can i rectify it .

    Hi,
I suggest you to do the conversion for a single planned order in TCode : CO41 or from MD04(screen itself by double clicking) and check the production order in Tcode ; CO02 / CO03.

  • Need to know how to show P6 Report Line Item Numbers

Team... I cannot find where to turn on the line item numbers in P6 Reports... I can show breaks on a code then activities right below that, but can't show the line item number... only the actID... Hellllllllp!

Thanks... I can't give a screen dump right now... but I will try to describe in better details what I am trying to do:
Below is a sample report of a simple activity listing just as it would come from any P6 report:
    ActID Description RDur Start Finish
    ABC123 First Activity Here 9 01Jan10 10Jan10
    DEF456 Second Activity Here 9 10Jan10 19Jan10
    GHI789 Third Activity Here 9 19Jan10 26Jan10
Below is the desired report which now includes a new, first column which gives a unique line item number for each line:
Item# ActID Description RDur Start Finish
    1 ABC123 First Activity Here 9 01Jan10 10Jan10
    2 DEF456 Second Activity Here 9 10Jan10 19Jan10
    3 GHI789 Third Activity Here 9 19Jan10 26Jan10
This new, first column is like the Excel Row Numbers... you don't need to try to explain what line you are addressing by ActID...

  • Find/Change Item Numbers and create Table of Contents

Hello! I need help to find all my item numbers and apply a paragraph style to it so I can use them to create a Table of Contents page.
    Sample item numbers
    #12345
    #12345-5
    #12345-20
    #12345-ABC
    #12345/N
I tried entering #^?^?^?^?^? on the Find/Change box and but this will find exactly the 5 characters after the # sign. I wonder if you can find all characters starting with # and until the last characters.
Once I find all the item numbers, how can I apply the paragraph style for only those characters after the # sign? Because I only want to show the item numbers without the # sign on the Table of contents/Index page.
By the way, I have InDesign CS2 which have no GREP function Maybe I can do this without the GREP?
I really appreciate any help. Thank you very much.

You actually have two problems here. The first is to assign the paragraph style. For that you can use GREP.
Find #\d+ and leave the change field blank, but in the change formatting pick the paragraph style. Stricly speaking you only need to find #\d or even just # because a paragraph style applies to an entire paragraph, so assigning it to any character inthe paragraph will assign it to the entire paragraph.
Which is your second problem. The TOC is based on paragraph styles and will include all of the text in each paragraph (up to the character limit for a TOC entry, which I think is 256 characters). You can't make a TOC and only use some of the paragraph. For that you need to use an index, or you need to make hidden or non-pinting frames with only the exact text you want in the TOC and assign a unique style to those.
It's also possible someone has written (or could write) a script that can find text strings that match a pattern such as your numers, assign a character style to them (you could actually do that part in the paragraph style by adding a nested GREP style), then making a list of the text strings along with the page number on which they appear -- almost the same as an index except it would be based on character style, not an index marker.

  • Reg purchase order line item numbering

    Hi All ,
Is  there any customization setting or possibility of cahanging the Purchase order line item number when the PO is created from the Purchase requisation , normally if the PO is created directly I am able to change the line item number as desired but if is created from a PR this is not allowed , please let me know any possibility of changing this .
    Thanks and Regards,
    Mallikharjun.

    Hi Mallikharjun,
You can modify the Line Item numbering at IMG>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Requisition>Define Document Types.
Here you can change the column ItmInt. which determines the line item number intervals.
    Hope it helps.
    Cheers

    etc....
I am hoping there is a fast way to find and change these. I was looking in to GREP, but I could not figure how to do this.
    Thanks,
    Omar

This could be a very complex GREP - or a very simple one.
4 Examples are good, but we need more concrete examples. In particular, the longest and the shortest example.
LED-4042 I want to change it to FCLED-4042
UA-42 I want to change it to FCUA-42
    SC-110 change it to FCSC-110
    KN-10 change it to FCKN-10
This will find your posted item numbers - but …
    \<\u{2,3}-\d{2,4}
    change to:
    FC$0
AND: exists one or more item number/s with FC at the beginning? I hope it is not so.
    <edit>
A new day, a better solution (This GREP can be used many times in succession. It may already one or more "FC-numbers" be present.):
    \<(?!FC)\u{2,3}-\d{2,4}\>
Or if no similar strings are exists in your document:
    \<(?!FC)\u+-\d+\>
Have fun and give a feedback.

  • This folder is on server, since item numbers are many, only few are displayed

    Hi,
Can some one let know what is meant if i get below in outlook (2013)
This folder is on server, since item numbers are many, only few are displayed.
To display details from Microsoft exchange, please click here.

    Hi,
You should be using an Exchange Account in Outlook, you see this because the Cached Exchange Mode Sync Slider setting is configured to a value other than
All. For example, the following figure shows a profile configured with Cached Exchange Mode and with the Sync Slider set to the default value of 12 months, which means Outlook saves the emails of the recent 12 months to local. If you set it
to All, you will not see the message again.

  • Line numbering and Item numbering in SRM 7 for shopping carts.

    Hi,
    We are on SRM 7.1.
The issue we are facing is when a shopping cart has multiple service
items and one of the service lines is deleted and the cart is ordered
the item numbering for the shopping cart lines is different in the item
overview screen in shopping cart transaction as well as sourcing and
    workload reassignment.
    For example,
    - If you create an Item for your SC. This would be Item 1 - line 1.
    - You now create another Item for your SC. This would be Item 2 - line
    2.
    - Then, you add a new line item, which is Item 3 - line 3.
    - Now you delete the second Item (line 2)
Since we do not show the deleted items, you will only see 2 items,
however there are 3 lines in buffer.
    - After you save the cart, front end will display two items, which
have line number 1 and 2.
    - However, item number will be stored as number 1 and 3, since these
are the sequential records created in buffer.
In sourcing cockpit, workload distribution and POWL, item number is
    displayed.
In shopping cart screen, line number is displayed.
This difference in numbering for line number and item number due to the standard design of SRM 7 is creating a lot of confusion among buyers in our organization.
Has anyone come across this issue?

    Hi,
As i told this is Std SRM Functionality.
You can do  one thing if the client agrees.
in the shopping cart screen add a new column next to the line item
Case 1 - No line item is deleted
    Line item    Zline item
    10                 1
    20                 2
    30                 3
    40                 4
Case 2 -Line item 20 is deleted
    Line item     Z line item
    10                 1
    30                 2
    40                 3
zline item has to key in by the user
Remember while deleting the line by the user he has to check the Zline item numbering
You have to add this new line item in the sourcing
    screen also.
    Check whether this soulution works
(or) convenience the client that they have remember the line item

  • Item Numbering on Billing docs, goes out of line

    Hi all,
A small question for you all...
    This is my situation -
We have one sales order with 11 lines on it, some are from stock, some are drop ship and some are on PO's that come in to stock prior to shipping. There is also items that are on billing plans (service items) Currently i have item 10 to 110.
From this we have created two deliveries.
So for the creation of the billing doc i will have 1 sales order and two deliveries (all to go on one bill) Now this all works ok and the bill is created and this is all good, other than all the item number are all over the place.
On VF01 i sent in this order
    Sales Order
    Delivery 1
    Delivery 2
But my number range on my Billing docs has no relevance to my items on the sales order, i understand that the billing plans will add a 1 to the number eg item, so i have the following items on the bill
    20, 30, 50, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 99, 100 & 110
This is the correct numbe rof items based on the billing plans also.
so the question is how do i ensure that item 10 on order show item 10 on bills and so, also if item 20 has a plan then how can i see 20 from sales order = 20, 21, 22, etc etc.
I have tried my bes tot explain this and please feel free to ask any questions....
all help and advice is welcome
    Regards
    Steve

    Hello Steve,
I would like to explain how the system determines the item number
The item number is set in the program LV60AA30
loop at avbap where fkrel ne con_fkrel_fplan.
        if not xkomfk-posnr is initial.
          check : avbap-posnr = xkomfk-posnr.
        endif.
Therefore the system starts numbering from the first order related item
So In your case because of the Flag copy item number , the items 10, 40,
    70 & 80 are created.
Then system reads item number 20 of the order. Since Item number 20 is
less than the already assigned item number(in this case 80), the
system adds the 'number increment(assume this is 1)' field from VOFA to
determine the next position number and overwrites the value taken from
    VBAP.
    This happens here:
    Main Program     SAPLV60A
    Source code of   LV60AB06
    form XVBRK_VORHANDEN
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
       IF *TVCPF-POSVO =  'X'          AND
          KUMUL        = SPACE         AND
          XPOSNR       GT XVBRK-HIPOS.
         XVBRK-HIPOS = XPOSNR.
       ELSE.
         ADD TVFK-INCPO TO XVBRK-HIPOS.
         XPOSNR = XVBRK-HIPOS.                 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This is the standard system behaviour.

  • BAPI to update PO's and Corresponding line items numbers **URGENT**

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to create a program which will take list of POs and corresponding line item number and update Final invoice indicator for the same. This should be updated in SRM as well as R/3.
I think, it can be done by a BAPI. Do anyone have idea, which BAPI will be applicable for the same?? You can also share yours views on this.
    Regards,
    Parvez.

    Hi
We have done this.. This is easily possible using BAPIs.
    Try using SRM BAPIs
    META_PO_GETLIST
    META_PO_GETDETAIL
<u>Note - SRM system calls BAPI in R/3 backend using RFC Call</u>
    In R/3 backend
    BAPI_PO_CREATE1
    BAPI_PO_CREATE
    BAPI_PO_CHANGE
    Hope this will definitely help.
