PofContext exception at Proxy Server

The Proxy is throwing following exception when client is trying to connect to server using pof.
TcpDelayEnabled=false}, ListenBacklog=0, BufferPo
olIn=BufferPool(BufferSize=2KB, BufferType=DIRECT, Capacity=Unlimited), BufferPoolOut=BufferPool(
BufferSize=2KB, BufferType=DIRECT, Capacity=Unlimited)} has not been configured with a PofContext;
this channel cannot decode POF-encoded user types
at com.tangosol.coherence.component.net.extend.Channel.getPofSerializer(Channel.CDB:25)
What is mean by ".. has not been configured with a PofContext; this channel cannot decode POF-encoded user types",.
Checked the user types both implmented from IPortableObject (Java and .Net).
?

It sounds like your cache configuration file has not defined a serializer on the Proxy.

    I have just a simple WCF service and which is protected by azure ACS .I am getting this error while trying to invoke the service from a client.The WCF is hosted as a simple azure website.
          502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server
          There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server.
    This is my web.config for the service and I am guessing there is something wrong with it .It is working just fine on local IIS so I am not sure what exactly is causing the issue.Can someone please have a look and see if they can find something or point me to
    a direction.

    did you resolve this problem. I am looking at the same issue. If you did I would really appreciate your response.
    Thanks.

  • Serious bug in Weblogic when connecting to a remote website through a local proxy server (proxyHost, proxyPort)

    Hi there,
    It seems that there is a serious problem with any version of Weblogic when you
    have to pass through a local proxy server to connect a remote website.
    Whenever I am trying to run the jsp program below either with Weblogic 7.0 SP2
    or even with Weblogic 8.1, I get the following exception :
    An error occured: Tried all: '1' addresses, but could not connect over HTTP to
    server: 'www.sun.com', port: '80'
    When I run the same program outside Weblogic, it works fine. Other people have
    already reported the same problem either in this newsgroup or on Internet forums,
    and up to now, the problem is not fixed yet.
    In fact, Weblogic seems to block when it performs the connect() method to the
    proxy, my jsp program hangs a few minutes before returning the error message shown
    above.
    If anyboby can tells me how this problem can be solved (or maybe via a workaround)
    do not hesitate to keep me informed, thanks in advance.
    Please find below my code :
    public class ProxyDownload extends HttpServlet
    private static final String CONTENT_TYPE = "text/html";
    //Initialize global variables
    public void init() throws ServletException
    public String bufferedReaderToString (BufferedReader br) throws IOException

    while ( (line = br.readLine()) != null)
    xml += line;
    return xml;
    //Process the HTTP Get request

    // Set up the connection so you can do read and writes
    connection.setDoInput( true );
    BufferedReader inBuff = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(connection.getInputStream()));
    String str = bufferedReaderToString(inBuff);
    out.println("<BR>" + str);
    catch(Exception e){
    out.println("<BR> An error occured: " + e.getMessage());

    ServletException, IOException
    doGet(request, response);

    Hello,
    The way to set the HTTP connection using a proxy server changed (from
    using the system property
    weblogic.webservice.transport.http.proxy.host/port)[1] in WLS 7.x to the
    standard JDK 1.4 system properties [2] in WLS 8.1.
    I would recommend opening a dialog with our outstanding support team [3]
    to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Bruce

  • JAX-WS client - WebLogic - SSL with proxy server

    Good night!
    I'm having trouble communicating with webservices using certificate authentication (weblogic.wsee.jaxws.sslclient.PersistentSSLInfo) through and going through a proxy server (weblogic.wsee.jaxws.proxy.ClientProxyFeature) .
    If communication with the webservice is done directly (no proxy server) everything happens perfectly, but to set the proxy server I get the exception "BAD_CERTIFICATE." it is as if the certificate was not attached in the request.
    The webservice client was generated by JDeveloper.
    Has anyone experienced this problem?
    Sorry for my bad english

  • HTTPS and a Proxy server?

    Does the plugin-in still not work with HTTPS and a proxy server?
    From plug-in docs -
    "Java Plug-in supports http, ftp, gopher and SOCKS v4 protocols through the proxy server. Currently, Java Plug-in does not support https (SSL). "

    Hello
    I am making HTTPS calls from within my applet code and this works fine using the basic Java Plug-in support for HTTPS.
    This means my code basically does:
    URL url = new URL("https://myhost.com/servlet/Test");
    URLConnection conn = url.openConnection();
    etc..
    We are using Java 1.4.2. I've read in the "How HTTPS Works in Java Plug-in" for 1.3, that the plugin uses the browsers API for making HTTPS connections. Is this still the case for 1.4?
    My basic problem is that it all works fine if the browser is NOT configured to use a proxy server. If a proxy server is configured we get the following Exception in the client:
    java.io.IOException: Unable to tunnel through proxy. Proxy returns "HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request ( The data is invalid. )"
    I have read that "Sun's Java Secure Socket Extension (JSSE) library allows you to access a secure Web server from behind a firewall via proxy tunnelling. However, JSSE expects the proxy's reply to the tunnelling request to begin with "HTTP 1.0"; otherwise, it throws an IOException" (http://www.javaworld.com/javatips/jw-javatip111_p.html)
    The article talks about using the JSSE library but it seems to be assuming the client is an application not an applet.
    How do I use JSSE from within an applet if all the proxy information I seem to need to set in the JSSE code is held by the browser?
    Will JSSE support proxies returning responses beginning HTTP 1.1 in the future?
    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks

  • JNDI lookup using a proxy server

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use a weblogic server as a proxy server for a cluster of
    weblogic servers. The static and dynamic content delivery works fine but
    when I try to do a JNDI lookup from an applet client, I get a name not
    resolved exception. I guess, it happens because the proxy server tries to
    resolve the name from it's JNDI tree, whereas I expect it to forward this
    request to one of the servers in the cluster. Is this possible? If it is, do
    I need to set up some parameters in the proxy server? If not, can I do this
    myself by writing a name resolution class which in turn will forward the
    request to one of the servers in the cluster?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

    when u say "cluster of weblogic servers"..u mean the weblogic`s inbuilt
    cluster..
    the reason i ask is weblogic`s cluster do provide JNDI clustering too by using
    cluster-wide naming tree..

  • Certificate problem in Proxy Server (ODSEE 11g)

    I am having a problem adding a CA Certificate to the Proxy Server. I followed the steps in the documentation, however I get the error: "keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Public keys in reply and keystore don't match".
    From what I have read, this error means that the alias name I am using when I add the new certificate is already being used. As per the documentation...
    When you request a CA-signed certificate, a temporary self-signed certificate is created. When you receive and install the CA-signed certificate from the CA, the new certificate replaces the temporary self-signed certificate.
    ... and this does happen. However when I bring in the new cert to replace... I get the mentioned error.
    If I use a different alias, it doesn't give me an error. However, I can't see it when I use the "dpadm list-certs" command (although it is there when I use the keytool command). More importantly, the "defaultservercert" is still the certificate being used when accessing the server.
    So the big question is... How do I get the Proxy Server to use the new CA Certificate?
    I've tried using the keytool command in many different ways, and it fails each time. Lesson learned: don't mess with the keystore via keytool. Any changes made are not recognized by the Proxy Server.
    I don't have access to this Proxy Server via DSCC because I do not have the password for the account running the services (a restriction made by the client), so it all to be done via CLI.
    The operating system is Oracle Solaris 10 8/11 s10s_u10wos_17b SPARC.
    Here are some outputs:

  • What is a Proxy server and how is it disabled?

    I'm having problems, and from reading these discussions, I suspect I have to disable my proxy server.
    1) Before the most recent OS upgrade, I was able to access iTunes Store only from my home ISP (Wildblue satellite), or if away from home, only when plugged into an ethernet wire. When I'm away from home, I can never access iTunes Store from wireless Airport connection -- no matter what hot-spot I'm at.
    2) After the most recent OS upgrade, I have the same problems, except I can't even get on iTunes Store from home. iTunes program bombs as soon as I log into the store.
    The solution suggested is to disable my proxy server. (System Preferences -> Networks -> Advanced -> Proxies)
    But I have no "disable button" here. I have a choice of "Using a PAC file" or "Manual". If i change it to "Manual", it defaults back to "Using a PAC File". and it says "PAC File URL: http://wpad.wildblue.com/wpad.dat". I can change the URL but I wouldn't have a clue what to change it to.
    There is also a checkbox: "Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)" and it is checked. Should I uncheck this?
    Do satellite connections, like my Wildblue ISP, require a proxy server?
    Any help meandering through this dark maze of computer mumbo-jumbo is greatly appreciated. I just want to download things from iTunes again.
    Francis

    By default there is no proxy server activated in your network preferences so you must have at some point needed one or otherwise you would not have set it up.
    The simple solution is to create a new network location for you to use when your out and about.
    system preferences-->network-->location-->edit locations...
    click the plus sign
    title it with a name of your choosing, click done.
    Then apply
    This new location should have a blank set of network preferences.

  • Java Applet to Access ASP Info in Proxy server Environment

    I Have a Java Applet on a Web server outside and when I access the
    applet in my corporate office which has a ProxyServer I get "UnKnownHost Exception".
    I did used the "System.getProperties" methods giving the Proxy information and can pass through the Proxy Server.But that is not what I want,The Applet should get through
    the Proxy server and get the response from the ASP without using the "System.getProperties".
    IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET THE INFO. OF PROXY SERVER FROM THE CLIENT MACHINE ON WHICH THE APPLET RESIDES(PROXY HOSTNAME:, PROXY PORT)OR FROM THE BROWSER (IE/NETSCAPE)CAUSE THEY STORE THE PROXY INFO INTERNALLY--WHERE??? AND HOW DO I GET THAT?
    Thanks in Advance

    If you are using the Microsoft VM, and your applet is signed, you can use MS security to query the registry for the proxy server info.
    For example:
    com.ms.security.PolicyEngine.assertPermission(com.ms.security.PermissionID.REGISTRY);
    com.ms.lang.RegKey key = new com.ms.lang.RegKey(com.ms.lang.RegKey.getRootKey(
      com.ms.lang.RegKey.USER_ROOT,
      "Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Internet Settings",
      com.ms.lang.RegKey.KEYOPEN_READ);
    String proxyServer = key.getStringValue("ProxyServer");However, if your client is using the Java plugin, this will not work. The Java Plugin loads the proxy server information based on the browser preferences, but I haven't figured out how to retrieve that proxy information from the Plugin itself. Sometimes the javaplugin.proxy.auto.url system property is null, even if the browser (MSIE) is configured to use an auto-configuration script/url for the proxy server configuration. I can see in the Java Console that the plugin knows the auto-config url.
    Even if javaplugin.proxy.auto.url is not null, I don't know how to call the javascript function at that URL from within the applet to get the proxy server host name and port.
    Does anyone know how to get the proxy information from the plugin?

  • Best choice for a proxy server on NT?

    Hi, I'm wondering what the best choice for a proxy server is on NT?
              Currently I'm running a 2 WL server cluster, but this will grow rapidly. If
              all of the pages that I will be handling will be .jsp (with the exception of
              1 or 2 servlets), which is the best configuration (performance wise) to go
              with?
              Should I use a Weblogic Servlet, NSAPI, or ISAPI to do the proxiing. My
              guess was that IIS would perform the best on an NT machine and that it would
              not be as large as a memory hog as Weblogic would be to simply run as a
              proxy. Is there a significant amount of latency produced by the ISAPI
              bridge?
              Any suggestions?
              Thanks,

              There is a response to this message posted on the performance newsgroup if

  • Configuring the application server to use HTTP proxy server

    Hi,
    I am trying to configure LiveCycle ES2 to access services over the internet and since my Livecycle server connects to internet through a Proxy server, I have referred to section 5.8.2 of LiveCycle install_weblogic.pdf that states the following:
    If the computer that LiveCycle ES2 is running on uses proxy settings to access external web sites, the
    application server should be started with the following values set as Java virtual machine (JVM)
    arguments:
      -Dhttp.proxyHost= [server host]
    -Dhttp.proxyPort= [server port]
    However, I am getting the below exception while running the LC application as my Proxy server requires User credentials to connect to the internet:
    weblogic.net.http.HttpUnauthorizedException: Proxy or Server Authentication Required.
    I tried providing the below JVM startup argument too, but no luck:
    -Dhttp.proxyUser= [proxy user]
    -DhttpPassword= [Proxy password]
    Can you please suggest how to configure User credentials for the Proxy server in Livecycle.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi WASIL,
    Thank you for your response.
    I have followed the above document suggested by yourself and the relevant steps while setting up the Server and the Workbench, and verified the settings too.
    The installation guide does highlight the steps to configure a Proxy server. However, the guide does not mention anything about how to handle Proxy server authentication.
    Please note that there are Proxy authenication options available in Workbench to configure how the Workbench connects to the LiveCycle server, whereas the problem I am facing here is how to connect the LiveCycle server with internet services through a Proxy server.
    I hope that clears the problem statement.
    Thankyou for your assistance.

                   System.out.println("Received from server :" + in.toString());No no no. 'in' is an input stream. in.toString() is just a string representation of that object. It certainly isn't anything received from the server. If you want to receive data from the server you must call one of the in.read() methods.

  • Bug Report: JSSE 1.0.2 & iPlanet-Web-Proxy-Server/3.6

    When tunneling through iPlanet-Web-Proxy-Server/3.6 we get a "Socket Closed" exception during the handshake (right after overlaying the tunnel). I got this problem with HP-UX. My browser works fine with that proxy so the problem isn't the proxy. And my code works fine with every other proxies. This proxy does return HTTP 1.0 so this well known issue isn't related.
    Anyone from Sun can confirm this issue ?
    Anyone else got this bug ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi all,
    When you say tunnelling, are you referring to code similiar to the code in JavaWorld Tip 111?
    I am currently trying to debug some issues with that code myself. I get similiar errors when tunnelling through a proxy.
    The download works correctly when a HttpsURLConnection is used to connect directly to the same site.
    I am using a squid-cache as my test proxy, so I am not sure if the proxy is the problem. (assuming we are talking about the same issue)
    I have noticed that a V3 site certificate seems to be more likely to fail though. I have not found a site using a V1 certificate where the tunnelling has failed.
    We are also discussing what I think is the same issue in the thread "HTTPS tunneling and V3 certificates".
    I have been trying to get this stuff working for a few months now.
