Pool creation

Hi there,
Hope you can help me in this.
I'm trying to create a second pool in a process in Adobe Livecycle, but I can't figure out how to do it. I've looked at the manual, searched online, through the forums.
Also, I am interested in whether Adobe is able to implement BPMN 1.2 flows where the start point is manual, e.g. when a user applies for a license over the counter. (The system is only invoked when the counter staff keys in the details into the system.)
Any 2 cents in this regard will be MOST appreciated. =)

I do not know about the BPMN 1.2 but I can tell you the different ways that a flow can be started"
1. Watched Folder - process monitors a folder on the server and when a new file is created that file is associated with the input of the process and it is started.
2. Email - same as above but email is used with an attachment
3. Java api - programatic interace for java programs
4. Soap Service - programatic interface for any program
5. Data Services end point - used from a flex application
6. Rest call - submission across HTTP/s

Dynamic Connection Pool Creation Failing in a cluster

Hi,
I am trying to create a connection pool in a clustered environment. This connection
pool is created lazily behind a Stateless Session Bean. We first attempt to determine
whether, the connection pool exists using JdbcServices.poolExists(someName), and
create it if it does not exist. A failure occurs on creation because it looks
like the connection pool might have been created by a bean on a different weblogic
VM instance. Is there any way to dynamically create a connection pool and make
it visible to the whole cluster? Thanks in advance for any help. Michael Dolbear

The only way to do it is using MBeans. You could search this newsgroup
for "JDBCConnectionPoolMBean" to get an idea of how it could be done.

returns true only in case the pool is up and running.
If the connection pool MBean was created but not assigned
a target, subsequent tries to create it would fail.

Hi,
you have to logon to Talent Management specialist via enterprise portal. There you can create Talent Pools. It is only possible with the web dynpro UI! It is not possible from SAP backend.
But you need enterprise search up and running to assign employees to the talent pool as talent management specialist.
As a Manager you can assignt employees to a Talent pool.

KMS Pool creation

Has anyone been successful on a pool creation with using KMS?... I have tried with ISO and existing VM. Main reason I ask is that when I tried using a MAK key after a while the pool vms became not activated which eventually became not geniune. Which prevents any use of them and I then have to recreate the pool using MAK keys. Any input on this subject would be appreciated.

Accroding to the error message "Remote Desktop Virtualization Host failed to set zeroconfig information from the virtual machine", it originally occurres on the template VM and wouldn't allow the creation of the VDI pool. Maybe it is
due to the VM created from the new image is not in the correct status. You can check the status of the VM and make sure it is running.

Pool creation issues

Environment:
2 RD Web Access servers 2012 R2
2 RD Connection Brokers 2012 R2 (who are also RD Licensing servers)
6 RD Virtualization Hosts 2012 R2
When creating a new pool from a newly created master image (sysprep done), I am getting a bunch of the same error message on the RD Virtualization Host and after around two hours the creation of the pool fails with message:
"Failed: The virtual machine is not ready for the virtual machine-based desktop deployment."
The error messages on the RDVH all say:
Source: Microsoft-Windows-TerminalServices-TSV-VmHostAgent
Remote Desktop Virtualization Host failed to set zeroconfig information from the virtual machine [vm-name]
Hresult: 0x800706D9
Creating a new pool from an old master image works fine.

WebLogic 8.1 SP2 bug in JDBC Pool creation for IBM Informix Driver - Type 4 XA

Funny business happens when you create a JDBC Connection Pool with IBM's Informix Driver - Type 4 XA under WebLogic 8.1 SP2
I have included the ifxjdbc.jar and ifxjdbcx.jar in the classpath in the the extENV.cmd, but I kept getting errors on connection:
weblogic.common.ResourceException: 0:com.informix.asf.IfxASFException: Attempt to connect to database server (myhost) failed. - with nested exception:
[weblogic.common.ResourceException: com.informix.asf.IfxASFException: Attempt to connect to database server (myhost) failed.]
at weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourcePoolImpl.makeResources(ResourcePoolImpl.java:1180)
at weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourcePoolImpl.makeResources(ResourcePoolImpl.java:1040)
Then I realised the WebLogic console was swapping these properties:
serverName=ol_myserver
ifxIFXHOST=myhost
Terrible forehead-slap!
I rechecked and this what happens:
Informix Server: -> ifxIFXHOST
Host Name: -> serverName
But the URL is correct.
jdbc:informix-sqli://myhost:1543/mydb:informixServer=ol_myserver
Notice that the exception message says:
Attempt to connect to database server (myhost) failed.

AlphaHi. If the URL has a particular property value, then don't add the property
redundantly in the pool's properties.

I have a requirement to create a module pool for maintaining data for some custom tables I created in SAP.
I'd like to ask what the quickest way to create a module pool for the above is. I have been able to create maintenance screens using the extended table maintenance tool but there is a requirement for a more user friendly holistic approach.

Sun 7420 (Storage Pool creation)

We have two Sun 7420 Storage controllers managing one disk shelf.
We have divided the existing disk shelf into two different pools so that we can use both the controllers in active-active mode.
Is there any way we can configure both the controllers in active-active mode without dividing the shelf into two different pools?
The purpose behind this is to use maximum bandwidth for a single share on a single pool.

No. With two controllers (cluster mode) each controller has to manage its own pool. In your case with only one disk shelf the best is to build only one mirrored pool and use the S7420c in active/passive.

what does this unbounded queue means? unbounded means without restraint. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/unbounded

You only mention 3.
Fixed = There is a fixed number of threads.
Cached = There is a cache of threads which are reused.
Scheduled = There is a pool of threads which can be used for Scheduled tasks.
What doubt do you have about these methods?

Module pool creation of new button

I have to aad 1 modif button in a screen the condition is like this as i ckick on that modif button it should go to some given transaction and in that new transaction screen if i click to save, back(F3),EXIT(SHIFT+F3) or cancle (F12) it turns over then automatically on the first screen from which it came.

Creation of new storage pool on iomega ix12-300r failed

I have a LenovoEMC ix12-300r (iomega version).
IX12-300r serial number: 2JAA21000A
There is at present one storagepool (SP0) consisting of 8 drives (RAID5).
HDD 1-8 (existing SP0): ST31000520AS CC38
I have aquired 4 new Seagate ST3000DM001 drives as per recommendation on this forum:

I want to make a new storage pool with these 4 drives:
HDD9-12 (new HDD and SP1): ST3000DM001-1CH166 CC29
I have used diskpart to clean all 4 drives and the IX12-300r can see the drives just fine.
When I try to make a new storage pool, naming it SP1 as the only storage pool is named SP0, I get an error: "Storage Pool Creation Failed"
Please advise as to how I can get these drives up and running.

I have pulled the 8 hdd from storage pool 0.
Then I rebooted with the 4 new hdd in slot 9 - 12.
Result: http://device IP/manage/restart.html, with the message: Confirmation required. You must authorize overwrite existing data to start using this device. Are you sure you want to overwrite existing data?k [yes] / [no]
I then answer yes four times anticipating that each new drive needs an acceptance, but the dialog just keeps poping up...
Then I shut down the device and repositioned the 4 new drives to slot 1-4 - but the same thing happened...
Any suggestions?

If not how to deploy the connection pool into server??)

I changed my class to oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionCacheImpl from
oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionPoolDataSource
I observed in the EM that the Open JDBC Connections and Total JDBC Connections are the same. When I used oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionPoolDataSource my Total JDBC Connections was increasing and Open JDBC Connections remains 0.
My question still remains unanswered, could some kindly help.

Can some one tell whether I am using the correct method of connection pooling mechanism or do I need to make some changes? This application uses JSP and used by lots of people which hits database very frequently.

Can admin.jar create oc4j users and connection pools that use those users

I have an ADF BC application written in jdev 10.1.3.3 deployed to standalone oc4j 10.1.3
When I deploy the application I use the enterprise manager to create the users on the security provider/realms tab. I then set up the connection pools in jdbc resources to use those users via the username and indirect password fields. I also set the minimum number of connections on the attributes tab.
I have read the following document but I cannot find any reference to setting up users, connection pools with indirect passwords or minimum number of connections.

Is it possible to do using admin.jar?

I'm not sure about setting indirect passwords on the connection pool creation -- never tried it. It's probably treated purely as a lexical string, so may well be able to to issue the CP creation command with the "->USER" entry as the password.
To create realms, users, groups, etc. you need to use the $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/jazn.jar utility: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_04/web.1013/b14429/admintool.htm#g1022417
The options for connection pool parameters such as min/max connections aren't directly expressable in the command. I'll need to look at the code and see if they can be passed in as non checked options via the factoryproperties. If not, then you can create a JMX client to use the MBeans that are created for the CP post deployment to change its behaviour.
