Pop up picture

OK I've had it. This computer is going through the window
very soon....
And as I can't affort that action please help me with this:
To show picture thumbs I use a conveyor belt slideshow
script. It works perfect. BUT....
I'd like to enlarge the pictures on click in a separate
window (not a .html because there are hundreds of pictures) This
Pop up of the larger pictures doesn't work.
Here's a part of my latest script:
leftrightslide[1]='<img
src="../image/profiel/thumbs/04_WP_770.jpg" border=1
onclick="popBeeld(../image/profiel/04_WP_770.jpg); return
false;"></a>'
leftrightslide[2]='<a href="internet/www-dutec.htm"
target="_self"><img
src="../image/profiel/thumbs/BSRM-detail.jpg" alt="internetsite
Dutec Technische Groothandel" border=1></a>'
leftrightslide[3]='<a href="internet/www-sme.htm"
target="_self"><img
src="../image/profiel/thumbs/colourshower-blauw.jpg"
alt="internetsite Stichting Maritime Equipment"
border=1></a>'
The second and thirt picture need a .html page. That works
perfect but isn't what I want.
The first picture doesn't enlarge at all.
I've tried several scripts that I found on the net, can't
seem to get it work.
Please try and help me.
Monique

If you haven't thrown the computer out of the window, you
might want to post
a link. It'll get better responses.
If you want to post code, you'll need to post the code of the
onClick
javascript function "popBeeld" as well as the size (height
and width) of the
enlarged image.
Typically, you could use something like the code below to get
a popup window
for the image , assuming the enlarged image size is say 400 x
300px(I am
using the javascript inside the tag and not calling a
separate function)
<a href="../image/profiel/04_WP_770.jpg" target="_blank"
onClick="Javascript:
window.open('../image/profiel/04_WP_770.jpg',
'IMAGENAME',
'width=400,height=300,top=200,left=400,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,status=no,toolbar=no,resi zable=no');
return false;"><img
src="../image/profiel/thumbs/04_WP_770.jpg"
border=1></a>
If javascript is disabled, it'll open a new page without the
defined size
etc.
Google javascript popup windows and you should get a lot of
info.
You cannot lose until you give up !!!

  • Making pop-up pictures in flash

    So I have a site with a large number of photos on it - on
    each page I have thumbnails laid out. Currently, I'm using
    javascript to pop up a new window with a large version of the
    picture when someone clicks on it - the pictures are in html files
    so that the pop up window looks as clean as possible, but still I
    can't make the window look as clean as I would like it using this
    method.
    So I remember seeing somewhere a photo gallery where using
    flash, if you would click on a picture, the big version would come
    up in the center of the screen, with the edges of the screen faded.
    To get back, you could press escape or click on the faded edge of
    the screen, or just click anywhere on the screen.
    I've done some basic flash in the past - however my knowledge
    of Flash is rudimentary, at best. Can somebody point me in the
    right direction where I could find out more about how to do the
    effect I just mentioned? Also, how hard would you say this is to
    do? Thanks for the help!

    Could you please be a little more specific with your
    response? Again, I only have rudimentary flash knowledge, and I
    have never worked with AS before.

    Thank link is an example of the pop up windows that I was
    talking about. Open it up in IE for the best example of what I
    mean...
    Click on a thumbnail picture in that link to get the pop-up
    window. There is still a bottom browser bar in IE and still a URL
    bar. I set the javascript for the pop-up to not include any of that
    stuff, but using javascript this is about as barren as I can get
    the window to be, and it is still not to my satisfaction.
    My vision is that when you click on the thumbnail, the edges
    of the screen get grayed out, and the full size image gets enlarged
    from the background to the front, and clicking anywhere on the
    screen will take you back to how it was. I need a specific tutorial
    on how to do this, and if someone could give me a link to either a
    tutorial for this or a closely related topic I would really
    appreciate it.

  • Pops up picture collage vid with transitions

    how can i make picture in picture pops up with transitions after i rotate the pictue, i want to make kinda picture collage with transitions help me :/

    You can create your PiP clips as secondary storylines. You can add Transitions to those (a secondary storyline will automatically be created as soon as you add a transition to two adjacent connected clips anyway) Once created, select all the clips in the secondary storyline and Scale them down and position them where you want them. You won't have access to the precision editor for the transitions, but you can adjust the handles by dragging the vertical hashmark icons along the left and right top edge of the transition, then resize the transition in the normal way (if you need to increase the lengths.)
    The green side adjusts the handle of the beginning of the "outgoing clip" and the red side adjusts the handle of the end of the "incoming clip."
    I also made this "title" effect for PiP:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0kyqSJTa98
    It's free...
    It allows you to switch whatever is playing in the storyline as the PiP, for whatever you load into the drop zone.

  • Built in Android Picture viewer

    I stumbled across this quite haphazardly but what I found blew me away.  I downloaded a game called to ifishing lite (it's free) and selected Fish a Photo and up popped android picture app that has really awesome physics and easy organization.  Pinch of from a folder and the pictures cycle like a deck of cards, pretty cool.  The problem is I can seem to find a way to access it outside of the app.  I would love to use this instead of the native blackberry pic viewer or at least have the choice considering it is already on the device.  If anyone has any ideas how I can get an app icon to launch this the help would be greatly appreciated.

    Update...
    It uses the gyro!!!!!!!!!!!   And is connected to the native pb camera app...Sure wish I could use this...it makes my pictures fun to play with and look through....

  • Video "pops" after quicktime export

    exported my sequence (apple pro res 422 1280x720 59.94) as a straight quicktime movie export using current settings and make movie self contained. when i play the quicktime, there are "pops" - the picture jumps either forward at a fade up from black or jumps back at a fade down to black. the "pop" happens right at the end of the transition if there's fade up or the first frame of the transition if it's a fade done. the fades are to & from slug (black). it's as simple as it could be. also when lower third titles fade up & down on track two the same thing happens. i've rendered everything which i thought was overkill. i'm going to try exporting using compressor next. i've never seen this happen before. any ideas? thanks.

    michael, the orig clips are pro res with exactly the same settings as the sequence setings.
    using compressor as opposed to using make quicktime movie did make the sequence without the "pops" or jumps that i was getting using make quicktime movie though it took twice as long. since i have a bunch of these to do and they're 2-2 1/2 hrs long would prefer to use qt as opposd to compressor.
    if anyone has any ideas i'd appreciate it. like i said as soon as the fade up from blk/slug ends, the picture jumps forward. conversely at the exact frame the fade out begins the picture jumps back. however when the quicktime of the sequence is reimported and played back in fcp, the jumps are not there. wondering if there is prob at all but obviously "something" is funky otherwise qt player wouldn't being having difficulty playing the clips. thanks.

  • How do I print a multipage doc to PDF from LabVIEW?

    I have an app which prints reports for my client.
    The reports are mostly graphs, with some attached labeling info.
    These might be one or a hundred pages, all results of a modeling run.
    I have several dummy VIs, which are laid out the way the page should look (different from the screen), and it can print to the printer, a PNG file, a BMP file, or a JPG file.
    Right now, each page is a separate PRINT VI operation. In other words, the same VI may be called multiple times, with different data, and told to print.
    This has worked well for several years. But now, the client would like to print directly to PDF, with each PDF file containing one to a hundred pages.
    I've tried things like "Win2PDF", but that makes a separate file for each page. That's understandable, since I'm calling the PRINT VI multiple times, but it's not what I want.
    I have never used the REPORT GENERATION VIs in LabVIEW, but my first look at them was not promising. One example complained that I cannot move or rename the "Documents and Settings" folder (I didn't really want to, but it apparently tried). Another generated an OK HTML file and printed it, but HTML introduces all kinds of uncertainties about page boundaries and such.
    Anyone have suggestions about a better answer?

    Blog for (mostly LabVIEW) programmers: Tips And Tricks

    Hi Coastalmainebird,
    I've done somehting like this myself, also without the report toolkit. I've found controlling Word/Excel myself gives more control, and is easier to understand (If you are familiar with macro programming in Office).
    You can place the objects into a WORD file, setting their position to fixed and so on (I'd have to check for the exact details, but you probably know this part already). I DO remember that "inlineshapes" and "shapes" are handled seperately by word. Make sure to only use one of the two types (Inlineshapes move with text I think, whereas Shapes float). A simple way would be to take a snapshot of the front panel required and pop the picture into the word file (preferably one screen per page).
    Once all pics are in the file, print using the required PDF generator. I've used JawsPDF in the past and it worked almost good. It had the odd problem of missing a print from time to time, but otherwise gave good results.
    I have always placed some kind of notifier in the word file to let WORD know to print a PDF. Then, using a macro which is tied into the event structure of WORD (A tricky thing to get running by the way), I check at run-time when printing if it's a designated "PDF" print. I can then route to the correct "printer" to get the job done properly. The event structure of WORD is quite useful as you can (As in LV) capture most user actions and act accordingly.
    If you have some time, I might be able to dig up an example. Could take a few days though since I'm in a new company since I've done this particular piece.
    Hope this helps.

  • Cannot import file to iMovie: "File not found"

    I am trying to build a home movie on my desktop.
    I am using iMovie and have clips that are currently downloaded and available to view in Quicktime.
    After clicking File>import>movie and selecting my desktop file, an error message pops up (pictured below) saying that I can not import my videos to imovie because "file is not recognized"
    I noticed that the clips i am trying to import are in the .mp4 setting but even after changing it to .mov it still did not work
    Please Help!!

    I'm a bit puzzled why iMovie wants to move the file rather than copy it.
    Have you tried dragging and dropping the file with the Finder into an iMovie event?

  • Where are you getting backgrounds, textures, and templates for CS6?

    I'm just curious about good web sites to download royalty free backgrounds, templates, textures, etc. for Photoshop.  I'm willing to pay a small annual fee to join the site, but of course free is always good too.  I'd rather avoid places like iStock- I'm looking more for a site that has Photoshop or other design applications in mind.
    I've found a couple of sites through Google, but they seem old and not updated as often (they still mention compatibility with CS4 and 5).
    So what are your favorite sites?
    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks, but I'm thinking more along the lines of something like cgtextures.com.  Great site with lots of stuff but the vast majority are photos.  I'd also like templates and non-photo images.
    For example, the other day I had to create a "Wanted: Dead or Alive" poster for someone.  I found some good tutorial instructions on how to do it (I'm a photographer, not a graphics artist, so I need all the help I can get when it comes to graphics).  One of the steps had me downloading some textures for the poster's background that no longer existed on the Internet, so I had to improvise a little.
    I'd love to find a template for something like that that already has all the important elements in it.  While I love learning new stuff, sometimes I have a deadline and it just has to get done.  Open template, pop in picture, do some adjustments, etc.... done.
    So I'm looking for templates along the lines of Photobacks, for example.
    And I'm looking for non-photo graphics like you'd find on, for example, a band or movie poster.
    Again, not being a graphics artist, I'm not going to go and recreate all that stuff.  I have no problem paying a small fee... I just don't want to pay $30 for a star burst or a bolt of lightning that will end of being one little tiny element in a bigger work.

  • Movieclip - Button - Location on stage

    Fellow Gurus!
    I am using Flash 8.
    I rendered some boxes on the stage. One is for a menu and
    another is for graphics. The idea is to have a picture pop-up in
    the graphic box whenever one passes a mouse over a button in the
    menu (which is in the menu box).
    I have added movie clips to each button’s mouse-over.
    The movie clips contain a picture (at least for now). Thus when you
    pass a mouse over the button, a picture pops up. That is the easy
    part.
    Now, I could simply reposition the movie clip until it
    appears within the graphic box. My problem is – I have a
    bunch of buttons and they may or may not be placed in the menu in
    exact positions. If I were to change a button’s position, the
    movie clip’s position is relative to the button and not the
    stage thus it would have to be repositioned as well.
    Therefore, the pop-up pictures within the movie clips which
    are within the buttons must all pop-up in the graphic box
    regardless of where I place or reposition the buttons.
    Let’s say I have the graphic box located at x=500 and y
    = 120.
    Let’s say the button’s name is First_btn.
    Let’s say the movie clip’s name is OneTest_mc.
    And, I can bring it on stage in order to add an instance name
    of perhaps TestOne.
    Now, I have looked at localToGlobal and globalToLocal. I am
    not sure which one work for my situation.
    I am assuming that I can add AS2 to the movie clip’s
    (OneTest_mc) timeline – if that is not where it goes - let me
    know.
    I have looked at the various scripts on the Internet and all
    they do is confuse me, namely because they are rotating graphics,
    etc. In another words, they complicate the examples. What I need is
    a script to add to each button/movie clip to make them all place
    the pop-up graphic in the box regardless of where the button is
    located.
    However, I do not just want a piece of script. I would
    appreciate some explanation of the code so I can learn from it
    – not just giving me a fish but teaching me how to fish.
    Thanks in advance,
    Bill

    I am not sure if I get this.
    First of all, I am no sure if it is globalToLocal or
    localToGlobal that I need to use – or maybe you are
    discussing something else entirely.
    You said: “… the sum of your button's _x property
    and the _x property of your graphic relative to your button) is the
    _x property you want to assign your movieclip if you want it to
    appear on the same timeline as your button and overlap your graphic
    (assuming your reg points are comparable). likewise for the _y
    property.”
    I read and reread the above answer. However, I do not have
    enough of a handle on Action Script to see the logic.
    “I am illuminated with darkness,” as Tennyson
    might have said. I am assuming that I should figure out how to get
    the button’s x & y no matter where it is placed –
    and not by reading them as numbers. I guess I need a hint –
    how do I capture the button’s x & y coordinates if they
    are changeable?
    I think this captures the x & y for the button –
    have I got it right?
    Var point = new Object ();
    point.x = First_btn.x; // First_btn is the name of the button
    point.y = First_btn.y; // First_btn is the name of the button
    OneTest_mc.globalToLocal (point); // OneTest_mc is the name
    of the movie clip
    If the above script is valid, and it most likely is not since
    I haven’t a clue what I am doing, then the movie clip would
    end up located where the button is located on the stage.
    Thanks for your help past and future as well as anyone
    else’s help.

  • 1 measure for nothing before recording music to video

    Opened a video to score, detected cuts got a buch of semi useful markers, created 1st music cue 4/4 @ 69 BPM (does not start at a cut detected marker), the 2nd cue will be 4/4 @ 48 BPM. Here's what I don't understand; I make a marker at the location I want the 2nd cue to start, I also want one measure before that marker to be at this new tempo which is 48 BPM. I had limited success by drawing in beat mapping to set the measure start from the cue 2 marker, but cannot get a measure for nothing a tempo prior to cue2 start. Once I learn how to just pick a spot, pop in a tempo / signature, and have a 1 bar for nothng count in for conducting purposes, I'll be able to sleep. The global section of Logic when it comes to variable tempos/ bars and signatures/ and beat mapping is perplexing. It seems when I make changes, areas of the project that were correct get messed up and the grid of bars changes and regions that were in sync both visually and timing wise get thrown off. Many thanks go out to those who can help.

    Kewl!
    Well, you could work one of several ways:
    0) Have a "master score file" along the lines of what Fader8 suggested. This will be an LSO that starts at the very beginning of the movie and lasts the length of the movie. This file is your master "repository" for 2-mixes of all of your cues and is used for gaining perspective on the arc of the film and how your score is working within that arc.
    So once you finish a cue, bounce a 2-mix (with at least a 2-pop at the head) and then lay it up into this master LSO. Align the 2-pop with picture. And as you progress with the score and add more cues, you can reference this LSO to gain perspective --- not only with the flow of the score, but you'll also gain perspective on the overall level of each cue and how they relate to one another.
    If you keep this file as an "audio reference only" file, you can load this up along with whatever cue you're working on without fear of blowing out sampler memory (which can cause your current cue to crash).
    So, on to suggested work methods:
    1) Leave the movie file intact and set the movie start time (and SMPTE start time also) in each cue's LSO to correspond to the start of each cue. Once you've identified where you want to start, make note of the timecode for your downbeat, and then adjust the movie start again so that you give yourself some count-in leeway.
    If it would be helpful to have the perspective of hearing the previous cue before starting the next one, the amount of leeway at the top of the new can be as long as the previous cue. What I'm getting at here is this: plop your 2-mix of the previous cue into your current cue. Once you get it aligned, SMPTE-lock that cue. Now you're free to adjust the tempo and SMPTE start point for your next cue.
    At this point I'd like to temper the suggestion in my previous post by saying that it's not "illegal" to compose more than one cue per LSO. Sometimes it will seem absolutely natural -- if not essential, or eminently practical -- to have multiple cues contained within the same LSO. Just don't "overdo it". So, for example, if you have a 10 minute continuous music cue followed by 10 seconds of tacet followed by a reprise theme that lasts for 15 seconds --- all of which uses the same orchestration/sampler instruments as the longer part, sure, compose it all within the same LSO. But if what follows is a long period of tacet, start the next cue in a separate LSO.
    2) If your computer has trouble dealing with playback of a large movie file, or, your scoring assignment is such that you have definite "hard" locations for the beginning and end of each cue, you can divide up the movie file to correspond to each cue. Just give yourself some leeway for count-offs.
    This might be the default way you'd work if you were scoring a TV show or anything with commercial breaks, where each act might be delivered as a separate "reel" anyway.
    There are some other advantages to using this method also, but as this post is getting mighty lengthy I'll leave it here for now. And I have the feeling that you'll get the idea mighty quickly as to how all this works.
    Cheers!

  • IPod Update Error: The network connection has timed out.

    I have an iPod Touch second gen and am trying to update it from software version 2.1.1 to 2.2.1. Every time I try to "Download and Install" the new update, it downloads all the way but then an error pops up(picture below). This error also occurs if I try and use the "Download only" option. I have made sure I have iTunes version 8.1.1. I have also uninstalled iTunes completely and reinstalled. This error continues to pop up.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Edge Animate Z Axis

    I'm trying to make a pop-up book web site with Edge Animate using pop-up pictures like you would see in a children's book. I need to rotate on the z axis to make the pictures pop up, but I only have options to transform the x and y axis. I can make this animation easily in After Effects, but unfortunately, AE doesn't allow for the interactivity that I'm seeking. At this point, I'm thinking that I'm going to have to do half of it in AE and half in AN. This is going to be frustrating. Any suggestions?

    As far as I can tell, you could create and delete symbols from the timeline on click events like next page, previous page etc... When you create symbols on the stage dynamically, they are placed at (0.0) axis. You will need to move them with css left and top properties. Another idea is to create your symbols into a container that is located at the axis your need.
    If your elements or symbols are on the same timeline, you can use css on any element or symbol  to change it's z-index as shown below:
    sym.$('elementORsymbolName").css({"z-index":"10"});
    In this example your element or symbol will be moved above the 9 first layers of your composition.
    Using class names to have many elements do the same thing or have the same properties
    Let's say that you have 10 symbols that you want to do the same thing, you could give them a class name.
    Click on the class icon:
    Enter the class name of your choice
    When you mouse over the 'C', you will see the class name.
    Then use the class name instead of the element's name for example as in the example above any text field that has the yellowGlow class with take the css below. Make sure you add a dot before the class name inside the quotation marks.
    sym.$(".yellowGlow").css("box-shadow","0 0 5px #fcff00, 0 0 10px #fcff00, 0 0 20px #fcff00, 0 0 30px #ffd200, 0 0 40px #ffd200, 0 0 50px #ffd200, 0 0 60px #ff7800, 0 0 70px #ff7800");

  • Imac 10.8.3 iBooks Author 2.0

    Hi Forum,
    Frustrating little problem here to do with Pop Over feature.
    The graphic that I'm dragging onto the pop over picture area looks absolutely fine in CS6 and in iBooks Author however, when I preview the page the thumbnail appears fine on the iPad for a split second and then changes to a low res version (pixelated). The iPad has a retina display and I'm using the same resolution for this graphic as other thumbnails and they appear fine.
    Any assistance greatly appreciated :-)

    ...not sure how to do that KT but things have gotten a little more strange.
    As an experiment I imported the background image Jpeg at 268ppi, 2048 x 1536, and resized it to fill the canvas. The pop over image used is actually a section crooped out of this picture and this was put in place, resized and the page previewed.....on the iPad the pop over image was a few pixels out of place but resolution perfect. I moved the thumbnail so that it looked out of place in IBA, previewed it and the positioning was fine!
    This is obviously not a work around but posted here just to further illustrate the problem...

  • Sensitive screen gets inverted image

    I think there is a loose connection. I am out of warranty with my Macbook Pro 15"...Had it for years. I just want to know what I should be looking for...My screen is very sensitive in that if it is touched or positioned a certain way, the image inverts completely to a point where I cannot see much of anything. I gently bend parts of the screen and pop the picture back into view. I can also apply pressure to the top of the screen and it seems to reconnect, but its only temporary, as it usually has its fits...Sometimes I get luck and it doesnt happen at all, but I can't afford to get expensive replacement parts and don't want to just have someone fix it. I want to know what piece of hardware it may be and a video would be nice to show me what I'm looking for..

    Have you seen these steps?
