Populate contact persons combo box.

I want contact persons to be populated in combo box, for the chosen BP.
If BP has more than 1 contact person, I want the first contact person from the drop down box
selected.
How to do this?Please reply

in the BusinessPartner Form the Contact Person Box shows always the value from the
"Default Contact Person"
to change the value click on the contact persons tab, select the contact person and click the "Set As Default" button.
or do you want something else ?

Populate 2nd combo box based on value selected in 1st combo box

I am still using Acrobat 6 though I may be upgrading soon to Acrobat 8. I have a form with two combo boxes, the first "state" has values of MN and WI. Based on which value the user picks I would like to populate a "county" combo box with lists of counties that we deal with.

MS Excel/VBA: Querying DB to populate combo boxes

Hi.
I am trying to populate five different combo boxes.
They are in an order of importance - market, product, duration, trade period description and trade date. Therfore, if a user selects a different market, then all of the other combo boxes should automatically update to show, for example, only the products which operate in that market should be visible, and this should be iterated all of the way down the other three combo boxes.
I have written code for this to happen so the query for product only includes those for that market.
However, when I use the ListFillRange to select all of the available products and populate the combo boxes an error occurs sometimes stating "Application-defined or object-defined error". It highlights the .Refresh BackgroundQuery:=False line.
Is there a better way to go about completing this task?

Sometimes I've seen this in access with form, where the database data has either something line a linefeed character or a load of spaces before the actual
text eg " text" in which case the
columns in the control will be too narrow.
You could try udjusting your coulumns width in its control
You might need to loop through each item in the cotrol and adjust using say
the MID() function or the TRIM() function.

2) Taluka Selection
3) Village Selection

Then, depending on the values that each of the combo boxes contains, run a query for villages in that District and under that Talluka.
And populate the third combo box. If any one of the ( first two ) boxes is empty i.e user didnt' select a value, then you'll automatically get no value for the combo boxes from the query.

Dynamically change the contents of one combo box based on the other

Hi Forum,
I have a question which might have a possibly simple answer. Well anyway help me out since i could not find the simple answer.
I am building an application using Swing and binding with BC4J using JClient. My GUI has combo boxes, grids, editboxes. My requirement is that i should be able to dynamically change the contents of one combo box based on the selected item in trhe previous combo box. For example, when i choose a country in the "country combo box", the "states combo box" should show the list of the states of the selected country.
Now how do i do this using binding. If not, how do i write custom querirs in BC4J layer and return a resultset to the remote application so theat i can populate the dependent combo boxes.
I will appreciate if anyone can help me out in this regard.

there could be quite a few number of ways of solving this problem.
One way is through event handlers.
taking your example as a model when user selects a country you could fire an action with a flag set to ture. A method will return the states from the DB or your temporary files or what ever and then the true flag will be used in the states combo box rendering.
other way: javascript
this might be a bit clumsy as you will need the states information in a property file and you can get the info as the user selects a country.

I am new to crm 2007 and Interaction Center.
I have requirement like this
1) say i created an account of type organization
2) once organization is saved, from account details screen there is an option to create a contact person using Related-buttion
3) My requirement is when i click on Related button by default i need to pre-populate contact person address details with the Organization address details like street, house number, city, postal code, country and region.
Could you please tell me what kind of code i have to write in the Related button event handler to populate organization address details in to create contact person address details

You have to implement any one of the BADI based on the data u want to update in the contact person.

BUPA_CONTREL_DEFAUL
You need to call FM to update the address.

Trying to trigger a servlet from .jsp page on combo box change

I have a jsp page with two combo boxes ( single select ).
Here's a snippet from the jsp page containing the code for the two combo boxes:

The country servlet successfully connects to the database and retrieves all countries
and populates the country combo box.
However, the populating of the city combo box depends on what country
is selected in the country combo box;
Here is a snippet of my code from the City servlet:

If it's not possible to retrieve the value property from the option,
I could always just use the Country name
So to reiterate, I need the City servlet to be called into action
any time a different country is selected in the country combo box.
I'm a newbie to jsp & servlets, so any suggestions much appreciated.

Cheers, I came up with a solution using Ajax, where I didn't have to change
anything in my servlets and only had to make minor changes to my jsp page.
I didn't want to use any javascript in my web app, but I guess Ajax
has addressed the issue of cross platform independence.

But then I don't see the purpose of LAZY . I thought it meant that whenever a
particular collection is referenced in the master collection it should fetch and populate.
Otherwise why should one call then LAZY and EAGER and not call them fetch = YES or
fetch = NO

How to Bind a Combo Box so that it retrieves and display content corresponding to the Id in a link table and populates itself with the data in the main table?

I am developing a desktop application in Wpf using MVVM and Entity Frameworks. I have the following tables:
1. Party (PartyId, Name)
2. Case (CaseId, CaseNo)
3. Petitioner (CaseId, PartyId) ............. Link Table
I am completely new to .Net and to begin with I download Microsoft's sample application and
following the pattern I have been successful in creating several tabs. The problem started only when I wanted to implement many-to-many relationship. The sample application has not covered the scenario where there can be a any-to-many relationship. However
with the help of MSDN forum I came to know about a link table and managed to solve entity framework issues pertaining to many-to-many relationship. Here is the screenshot of my application to show you what I have achieved so far.
And now the problem I want the forum to address is how to bind a combo box so that it retrieves Party.Name for the corresponding PartyId in the Link Table and also I want to populate it with Party.Name so that
users can choose one from the dropdown list to add or edit the petitioner.

The problem, presumably, seems to be is that the binding path "PetitionerLookup" of the ItemSource of the Combo box in the view vPetitioner exists in a different ViewModel vmCase which serves as an ObservableCollection for MainViewModel. Therefore,
what I need to Know is how to route the binding path if it exists in a different ViewModel?

Not able to populate data in the combo box

Hi Guys,
I m new to flex development and I want to populate the data
coming from the databasein the combobox.I am able to get the length
.but not able to populate the data.
Can anyone helpme out?
The code is below:
The data displayed in the combox box is displayed as
[object],[object] etc.I m sure that the data is coming from the
database and its not populated in the combo box.any help is
appreciated.

How do you use the combo box to populate a text box

I am a beginner when it comes to Java Script. I have viewed many different discussions, look at a lot of "help" articles dealing with Acrobat 9 and Java Script, but only to be left confused and dazed. I am hoping someone will be able to tell me how to write a script that will populate a text box that is on my form with the combo box selection's export value...

If you want the text box to be read-only, just set it up with the following custom calculate script:
// Set this field value to the value of the combo box
event.value = getField("combo1").value;
but replace "combo1" with the actual name of the combo box field.
If you want something else, post again with more information.
