Populating Authorization value in Customer exit

Dear Experts,
I have two info objects Sales org and Plant and both are hierarchies.And both are having the same values
ie Sales org A100 = Plant A100
And Sales org hierarchy is like this:
A100 ( Top Node)
-A110 (Child of top node)
--A111 (child of A110)
-A120 (Child of top node)
--A121  (child of A120)
Sales org is authroziation object and plant is not.
Users are provided authroziation based on Sales org , but our requirement is to popullate the same value to plant variable as well in the query.So in case if they want to drill down there wont be any problem.
I have created a query with sales org as input varible and plant as customer exit variable.
Suppose a user is authorized to top node ie A100 sales org and in the query if he inputs sales org as A111 which is a child node of A110
then my plant vairable should  be populated with the top node which user is authroized to ie A100 iresepective of what ever he enters.
If the user is authorized to A110 and if he enters A111 then my plant should be populated with A110.
I am trying to get that info from tables UST12 etc but it would be great if someone throws some light on how to do this requirement.
Thank you for the help.

Please see my reply to your another thread.
Please do not open the thread for same issue twice.

  • Passing multiple single values in Customer Exit Variables

    Hi,
    I have one requirement to Pass multiple single values in Customer Exit Variable.
    If the user gives 2010 i need to get value previous fisacal year(2009),if its 2009, we need to get 2009.
    Just requirement is like how to pass multiple single values?
    Thanks.

    Hi..
    For this create a variable- Types of variable= Characteristics Value> Processing type as Customer Exit-->Reference Char as Fiscal year..
    Try this code..
        when 'xxxx'.
          DATA: lv_zp0003_month(2) TYPE n,
                  lv_zp0003_year(4) TYPE n.
          CLEAR: lv_zp0003_month, lv_zp0003_year.
          lv_zp0003_month = sy-datum+4(2).
          lv_zp0003_year = sy-datum(4).
    If the month is January the year is set to previous year
          IF lv_zp0003_month = '01'.
            lv_zp0003_year = lv_zp0003_year - 1.
           l_s_range-low = lv_zp0003_year.
    Else the year is set to actual
          ELSE.
            l_s_range-low = lv_zp0003_year.
          ENDIF.
          IF l_s_range-low = l_s_range-high.
            l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
          ELSEIF l_s_range-high IS INITIAL.
            l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
          ELSEIF l_s_range-low LT l_s_range-high.
            l_s_range-opt = 'BT'.
          ENDIF.
          l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
          APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
    Hope this helps.

  • Authorization (rsecadmin) with customer exit variable

    Hello,
    I need to maintain authorization on 0CALMONTH with a customer exit variable.
    0CALMONTH is "authorization relevant"
    I created a variable of type "customer exit" : ZVAR001 (this variable is OK, I checked its value in a query)
    I created a new authorization object with 0CALMONTH = $ZVAR001.
    When I run my query I have a message due to authorization error.
    If I change my authorization object by replacing my variable ($ZVAR001) by a constant value I have no authorization problem.
    I don't understand why...
    Error logs don't help me to solve my problem : I have the following message "Message EYE007: You do not have sufficient authorization" and system just says I have "0CALMONTH  I EQ $ZVAR001 " but doesn't precise values under variable ZVAR001
    Thanks for your help

    Indeed problem was in costumer exit because I used condition with "I_STEP". Since I have delete my condition I have no authorization problem with my variable....

  • Excluding values in Customer exit variable

    Hi,
    I need to excludes some values, but should have a option to include these values in variable screen depends on different users requirement.Default this values will be excluded.Please help me writing this code.
    Will assign points,
    VJ

    Hi,
    You can try using a select option variable without writing any code.
    There you can specify default values as exclusion and if user enters their own values those will be included automatically.
    Else you need to create a dummy variable (user input) to get the user input and other variable (customer exit) to include the values if user enters / exclude default values. If you still need some code sample let me know.
    hope this helps.

  • Table look up using value from customer exit variable

    I have a customer exit variable, CURRMON, which the user enters in the format MM/YYYY. From this entry, I would like to do the following to calculate and display the number of business days in the selected month:
    Do the following to get Business Days in month.
    Use the KF "FBA Day"  (CTAFBAD) from the CTA_M01 infocube and write ABAP routine.
    1. Based on user entry cal month get the last calendar day .
    2. Do a master data look up (CTAFBAC is the master data object), using the last calendar day from step 1.
    3. CTAFBAD is the attribute of CTAFBAC so move the value of CTAFBAD to the result, and display this result
    Can anyone help me with this?

    Hello,
    You can use i step = 1 in SMOD transaction and write the code there.
    l_s_range-low = sy-uname.

  • Multiple Single Values in Customer Exit

    Hi,
    Can we select multiple single values in the customer exit. I know that we can get single value or range of values with LOW, HIGH, OPTION, SIGN etc. But is it possible to do a multiple single values.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ace

    Ganesh,
    Thanks for the reply, it did give me good ide
    But I do not know how many multiple values I would have. I will be picking those values based on an internal table. So do I need to do another looping.
    Thanks,

  • Current filter values in Customer Exit variables

    Hi!
    I have a pretty hard question here that I would be impressed if someone has an answer to:
    The scenario is:
    I have a customer exit variable that should de dependent on the current filter setting in the query. Is it possible from within the customer exit code get information about the current filter(s)?
    I know that I can access other variables values, but in this case I would like to know which values that has been filtered on within BEx (after the popup screen).
    Regards
    Marty

    You asked for:
    1. In the field I_S_RKB1D-COMPUID (or GENUNIID I'm not quite sure) you get the internal query name.
    2. Look in RSZELTXREF with SELTUID = I_S_RKB1D-COMPUID.
    3. The filter values have LATYP = FIX (if they are in the filter box).
    4. Search table RSZRANGE with ELTUID = RSZELTXREF-TELTUID.
    5. Don't wonder if this doesn't work anymore after an upgrade

  • Formula Variable Customer Exit

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a requirement where I have to read the one formula variable value ( Replacement path with attribute value ) into customer exit of another characteristic variable .
    For example :
    I have one characteristic formula variable called VAR1 ( which gives the value ) .This value I want to use it in customer exit of another varable  VAR2 ( is it possible to use one formula variable value into another variable ) which I want to use it in Customer exit.
    VAR1  -  Formula Variable
    VAR2  -  Simple Variable with out User Input.
    Example is as below :
    Formula Variable ( VAR1 i.e PLND_DLVRY )  based on this value I want to define another variable APO Version in the Customer
    If it is possible please guide me what is the process. Also I want to make sure which I_STEP I need to use...
    Please guide the best solution.
    Thanks
    Ganesh Reddy.

    Hi Krishnan / Arvind,
    Sorry I was thinking 0PLND_DELRY is nav attribute for 0MAT_PLANT. But 0PLND_DELRY is the quantity field so I can't make this field as a nav attribute. Right now I am populating directly in the Cube using master data. my cube  data looks like
    Fields Description
    F1 = Version
    F2= Material
    F3= Plant
    F4= 0PLND_DELRY
    F5= Calendar Yr/Month
    F6= Concensus Forecast ( Key Figure )
    Condition is Combination of Material and Plant will define 0PLND_DELRY ( Delivery Time )
    F1  |   F2 |  F3  |  F4   |F5  |   F6
    201104 | M001 |200 |  30 |  2011/07 |  5100
    201104 | M002 |200 |  60 |  2011/07 |  6200
    201104 | M001 |300 |  90 |  2011/07 |  4900
    201104 | M001 |200 |  30 |  2011/07 |  7900
    201105 | M001 |200 |  30 |  2011/07 |  5700
    201105 | M002 |200 |  60 |  2011/07 |  6900
    201105 | M001 |300 |  90 |  2011/07 |  4300
    201105 | M001 |200 |  30 |  2011/07 |  7400
    201106 | M001 |200 |  30 |  2011/07 |  5500

    201107 | M001 |200 |  30 |  2011/07 |  8000
    In Order to bring the variance for F6 for Material M001 and Plant 200 then my result is
    Calendar Yr / Mnth = 2011/07
    Current Value = 5000
    Lead Time = 30,  offset = -1
    Version = 201107-1 = 201106 Then
    Prior Value = 5500
    Variance = 5000-5500 = -500
    for Material M002 and Plant 200 then my result is
    Calendar Yr / Mnth = 2011/07
    Current Value = 6500
    Lead Time = 60,  offset = -2
    Version = 201107-2 = 201105 Then
    Prior Value = 6900
    Variance = 65000-6900 = -200
    for Material M001 and Plant 300 then my result is
    Calendar Yr / Mnth = 2011/07
    Current Value = 4000
    Lead Time = 90,  offset = -3
    Version = 201107-3 = 201104 Then
    Prior Value = 4500
    Variance = 4000-4900 = -900
    for Material M001 and Plant 200 then my result is
    Calendar Yr / Mnth = 2011/07
    Current Value = 4000
    Lead Time = 30,  offset = -1
    Version = 201107-1 = 201106 Then
    Prior Value = 4500
    Variance = 8000-7500 = -500
    Every month we get same data with different version and different numbers for all months. Please advise me what is the best solution we can do
    Thanks

  • Query variable type Customer Exit problem

    Hi All,
    I need to set a Profit Center variable value by Customer Exit. My Exit has to results a Profit Center Hierarachy NODE value. The problem is that the Query handles my return value as a single Profit Center (10 char long) but my Profit Center Nodes are longer than 10 characters and they are truncated to 10 chars. Therefore I get an error message, namely 'XYZ... PC is not exists in PC Hierarchy ABC...'
    How can I set that the Query or the code to get my result value not as a Profit Center but a Profit Center Hierarchy NODE?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Dezso

    Hello,
    Yes, I have set the right Hierarchy. If I change the PC variable to 'Characteristic variable' and set it on the selection screen everything is OK so the Hierarchy is good.
    Thanks,

  • BW Authorizations - Query variable with processing mode as "customer exit"

    Hi,
    Iam new to BW authorizations and have not yet worked on customer exit before. I was going through the documentation at various sites but I could not get the end to end description on how the query process( when using a variable for an InfoObject) works in case of customer exit.
    Let's assume that I am using  a query variable with processing mode as "customer exit" and at the exit I  write some code to extract user's authorizations from a z table. if this is the case, then when an end user runs a query,how will the the system know what value needs to be filled in the variable for the requesting user. Are the user details  also sent to the code along with the query variable? If so how. If I mis-understood the process then forgive me and let me know the correct process.

    Hi!
    welcome to SDN!
    customer exit variables need programing by user. so if you create a customer exit variable, you got to right a program which extracts values into this variable. we can do what ever we want in program, SAP will not deal anything ´with customer exits.
    with regards

  • Authorizations by use of customer-exit: in  i_step = 3,   i_vnam is empty

    Hello all,
    I have checked multiple scenarios and they do not work:
    Current situation/setup:
    1. <b>Creation of several variables and adding each of them to different queries</b> :
    Variable   Type   Processing      Infoobject                     Selection  ready for input
    COB     1     6     ZCCOSTCTR__ZCCOB     S
    CB2     1     6     ZCCOB                                     S
    CBV     1     3     ZCCOB                                     S
    2. <b>Adding values in a role</b> (currently 3.0 is used and we want to check the exit and if it works before upgrading to 7.0) and assign it to the user:
    Old active Object:ZCKS_COB:
    1KYFNM    *
    9ZCCOB    $C-B2, $C-OB , $C-BV
    added new object without 1KYFNM:
    ZCCOB      $C-B2, $C-OB, , $C-BV
    3. <b>Marked the used object auth. relevant</b> for the cube of the query
    4. Enhanced ZXRSRU01 via CMOD with coding and activated also the project:
      WHEN 'COB' or 'RESPNO'.
       IF I_STEP = 0.
        IF I_STEP = 1.
       IF I_STEP = 3.
          CALL FUNCTION 'Z_VARIABLE_BY_AUTH'
            EXPORTING
              I_VNAM           = I_VNAM
            TABLES
              E_T_RANGE        = E_T_RANGE
            EXCEPTIONS
              NO_AUTH          = 1
              NOT_VALID        = 2
              MISSING_OPERATOR = 3
              OTHERS           = 4.
          IF SY-SUBRC = 1.
            MESSAGE W007(EYE).
          ENDIF.
          IF SY-SUBRC = 2.
            MESSAGE W707(BRAIN).
          ENDIF.
          IF SY-SUBRC = 3.
            MESSAGE W999(BRAIN).
          ENDIF.
          IF SY-SUBRC = 4.
            MESSAGE W649(BRAIN) with I_VNAM ''.
          ENDIF.
        endif.
    The function 'Z_VARIABLE_BY_AUTH' was tested separately and fills in E_T_RANGE as expected.
    I also changed the variable names each time to all the other existing variables while debugging.
    If I use a variable of <b>type customer-exit</b> and process it with <b>i_step =1</b> the value selection and query result is OK.
    But this <b>scenario works without roles</b> and authorization values triggered by a variable $<VARIABLE> and is not the intended and documented way proposed by SAP. The documentation says to create a variable of type authorizations and to process it in I_Step = 3. But in this step I_VNAM is empty and so there is no processing ot the function module.
    Has anyone a solution? I could not find the issue during several debugging sessions. One strange thing is the protocol of rssm: the authorization buffer is not reflecting the enhanced role but only the value $C-B2 for object ZCKS_COB.
    Thanks in advance to have a look on this tricky issue.
    Bye,
    Petra

    Try this:
    IF i_s_rkb1d-compid = 'Query Name'
    Validation of data for the value entered in your Variable
        READ TABLE i_t_var_range INTO yourworkarea
                    WITH KEY vnam = yourvariable
        IF sy-subrc = 0.
          IF w_s_var_range-low(4) <>  w_s_var_range-high(4).  " Your condition or Logic
            l_msgv1     = c_qtr_com1.  " Your message
            i_handle = 9998.

                i_type   = 'I'
                i_number = '000'
                i_msgv1  = l_msgv1
            RAISE again.
          ENDIF.

  • Population of Customer Exit Variables in Web Template Queries

    Hello,
    Desired Scenario:
    I have three Queries: Q1, Q2, Q3, attached to one Web Template in the same order. Queries Q2 and Q3 have exit variables which are populated from the Input Variable of Query Q1 (these customer Exit variables are mandatory,  not available for user input and are populated in STEP=2).
    Problem:
    Sometimes on execution of the template, Q1 is executed first and then the exit variables are populted (which is OK) BUT  sometimes Query Q2 or Q3 is executed first and exit variables don't get populated.
    As such, I am not sure of the order these three queries are executed. Please suggest how do I ensure that Q1 is always executed first, followed by Q2 or Q3.
    Thanks for your suggestions.
    Best Regards,
    Sumita

    Hi,
    The Infoobjects are different in all the three queries. In Q1, the variable is on 0CALWEEK. In Q2, the variable is on XWEEKD (which is reference to 0CALWEEK). IN Q3, it is on XFORWEEK (which is again reference to 0CALWEEK). So, I can't use the same variable in all three queries. But all these variables have to have the Week from to Week To as the input and that input remains same for all three variables.
    To prevent the user from entering this week from & to thrice, we populate the other two in customer exit depending on the value input by the user.
    So, now I want to know the order in which the queries attached to a Web Template are executed.
    Best Regards,
    Sumita
