Populating Tabular Form Region Field With ITEM Data

Hi,
I have a date picker item, i want to be able to put that date in to all the rows in the field RENEWALDATE but ive tried to set that field to have the date item as default and it doesnt pick anything up. How can i do this?

I sorted it in the end...I created a PLSQL process thats updates and sets the field RENEWAL to :P7_X, so when P7_X is submitted this process runs and updates all the rows displayed to populate the renewal date column with this value. I also intend on being able to select a particular trainer and populate all the rows with that one trainer user the same process.
My situation is that certain staff have individual training sessions but some need to be in group sessions where by the trainer can update multiple people who say attended the Induction course on 12/04/2007, User selects the date and course presses retrieve and this brings back all staff on the course, the trainer can then pick his name, a renewal date and submit these, hence updating the field for every member of staff. Of course the update process is only assigned to a certain button and not on submit, so a trainer can amend a single individual out of the group and still submit the correct details.     I think your datasource is already in production, and you want to data only from today onwards for enhanced fields, i.e. historical data is not required for enhanced fields..
    1.Fix ECC down time for 20 to 30 munities
    2. Keep all objects on Qty system in ECC and BW.
    3.Run Delta laods in BW for 2 to 3 times.So with this step you can clear SMQ1 and RSA7. Check the entries in RSA7, if it is ZERO then it is fine.
    4. Move DS from ECC Qty to ECC PROD .
    5. Replicate in BW.
    6. Move all BW objects from BW Qty to BW Prod.
    7. Delete Init load in InfoPackage level (Not in ODS/CUbe).
    8.Load Init without DataTransfer.
    9.Then Run Delta.
    10. Next day on wards deltas will come as usual.
    If you need Historical data also.
    1.Delete data in Cube.
    2.Fix Down Time and load Init then Delta.

  • Tabular form region and preserving state

    Hi all,
    I have a tabular form region (one of a few form regions) on my page... I'm trying to figure out how to preserve the other fields on the page (detail form), when tabular form buttons are clicked to add, update or delete rows.
    The page obviously branches back to itself, but if a user has inputted changes in other form items on the page, they are lost.
    I know it has something to do with how the item sources are derived... currently, they are tied to the database column, and the source is derived each and every time..
    If I set it so it checks session state first, and if not null, get it from there, it'll work for the above use case. However, it causes problems if the user leaves the page by clicking elsewhere (ie back to master list), and decides to edit a different row... the detail form will pull the content from session state, and not from the db, and display the wrong information...

    I guess it is that simple... as long as I ensure that any link pointing to the detail form (ie edit, or view etc...) clears the page's cache, then I am guaranteed to have the database state and not the session state displayed...
    My detail form items should then derive their source always from session state if not null, otherwise get the source from the DB...
    This will ensure that when I branch back to the page when adding a row to my tabular form for instance, what was entered previously, would remain...

    I'm not sure if this answers your question but you could try putting out the address all in one item in the SQL eg somthing like:
    address1 || DECODE(address1, NULL, NULL, 'newline character') ||
    address2 || DECODE(address2, NULL, NULL, 'newline character') ||
    address3 || DECODE(address3, NULL, NULL, 'newline character')
    where 'newline character' is somthing like CHR(12)

  • AUTO Populate a Form's Field with MySQL Table Field(s) Data

    Hi,
    I can easily make forms that add, edit/update, delete.
    But I want to be able to populate a form field (usually a popup field) with a selection of records from a specific table.
    Say I have a table: CARS
    That has fields: MODEL, MANUFACTURER, PRICE
    I want to populate the form field named Model with all the CARS:MODEL values in the table.
    ...and some times...
    I want to populate the form field named Model with all the CARS:MODEL values in the table where CARS:PRICE < 20,000
    Now, I am fine with the whole HTML, MySQL, PHP programming and can do this all by long-hand coding.
    But I'd like to speed it all up and use Dreamweaver! :-)
    AND I'd like the edit/update forms to also selected the current records value and make it SELECTED whilst also holding all the other values..., using Dreamweaver.
    I can do this all by long-hand coding, but I'd like to speed up my development (and colleagues) and use Dreamweaver! :-)
    I hope all we need is a pointer to which menu items to use for this way of working within Dreamweaver...

  • How to autopopulate a text field with unique data from multiple data sets

    I'm a laboratory manager in charge of a hospital project which will be using pdf forms to send and receive data from our end users across the city. I need help with the last part of our pdf form, specifically with a js that will do a bit of text-field autopopulation magic. This, unfortunately, is a beyond what I have taught myself about pdf js functionality.a
    The problem:
    I need to provide my end users with a text field containing a set of data [A, B, C, D, E, F ...] and the total items in this set [tot#]. The end user needs this information as part of the implementation of this particular laboratory machine.
    The particulars
    When the end user asks for an experiment to be run, we must specify some pieces of data to help them interpret the results. These are constructed as panels which contain discrete data elements.
    For example - One experiment may use two panels, Panel#1 and Panel #2. Panel #1 includes the items A, B, D, E, Panel #2 includes the items A, B, C, F, G.
    Thus, the panels may share some of the same items, but, I only want the unique members to be displayed in the text field. If I make a drop down box or checkboxes with the panels, I want to  be able to select the panels that we ran and (in this example) have the text field display only the unique items among all the panels that were used:
    textfield outpute = A, B, C, D, E, F, G - 7 total.
    Any assistance from the pdf community would be very much appreciated.

    1) Where should I embed this script? Within the 'selection change' area of
    my listbox?
    2) Can I replace the term 'arr' with the names of the various items in my
    listbox or should I put 'arr#' as the output value for each term?
    3) Will this script find and display the unique values when a user selects
    multiple items in my listbox?
    4) How does the script know where to output the unique members of the
    combined set?

    the question i'm about to ask is basic question on creating table , and as a result of that about tabular form
    i have table like this
    IND NUMBER(2)
    COMPANY NUMBER(5)
    CLM_NUM NUMBER(15)
    VERSION_NUM NUMBER(2)
    DATE_GET NUMBER(8)
    CAR_NUMBER VARCHAR2(7)
    MISS_EXPL VARCHAR2(50)
    there can be more than one row with the same data. that's why i cannot do a primary key in this table.
    i want to create a tabular form on this table.
    the question is as follow:
    1.general question not related to tabular form.
    if there is table like in my case,which i cannot see that p.k can create with the columns that i have ,do i have to add column lets say : ID which contain consistent numbers
    which will be the p.k ? , or is it o.k to leave the table with no p.k.
    i know that in apex 1.6 is not giving an option to create table if i'm not declare a p.k , while in 3.1 it give an
    option to create with no p.k
    2. second question is : if i'm not doing a primary key is it possible to create a tabular form.
    i know that the tabular form ask for a p.k but i did not understand if it want the specific p.k of the table.
    3. if it possible(to create tabular on table not declare with tabular form) can i have a problem in the tabular form to recognize the record(row) which need to delete or update?
    4. last question: again general question about creating table
    is it by the accepted to create table which has no p.k but unique constraint like this

    Hi Naama,
    Firstly, a primary key does not necessarily have anything to do with the data on the table. In most of my tables, it is just a sequential value created from a sequence and set by a trigger. In some cases, I do have non-numeric primary keys, but these are simple text fields that can never contain duplicates (for example, country codes) and which the user can not alter.
    So, I would strongly recommend that you create a primary key on your tables.
    Secondly, yes, you can create unique constraints on those fields. But note that Apex will not allow you to use that many fields as a "primary key" on any form.
    If you have records with the same values in all fields, without a primary key, Apex would not know which record was being updated.

  • Tabular form from query with outer join destroys the universe!

    Well, maybe just my app...
    At any rate, what I have is a query that pulls RISKS for a project and does a reasonable outer join which joins the latest value from a RISK_HISTORY table. Values for RISK are updated and the value for RISK_HISTORY is changed and a new entry added to the RISK_HISTORY table.
    At least that's how it's supposed to be.
    I was able to do this with a report-with-a-form region by adding an extra update process to do a new insert into RISK_HISTORY but it seems that the tabular form is a bit more work.
    Here's the query I'm using:

    using nvl also didn't solve my problem.Actually my problem is I am having a table a in which I have a column called satus, status has the values like A or I .I have one lookup called MTH_BUYSINESS_FUNCTION in which for lookup_code A I have menaing as Active and for lookup_code I meaning is Inactive.Now in table a for sttaus I have two values one A and one null Now I want to write sql which displayes the meaning for column staus.Result should be Active and null .If I am uisng 1 query which I gave u I am not able to get the 2nd row in my output.If I use 2nd query then I get duplicate rows.

    I am trying to create a score card type form. The names of the teams are held in Table1 the Score Values (which are locked to predefined values) are in Table2.
    I would like to have a form that takes the teams and creates a tabular form with the score shown in a dropdown list in a column. I have relationships that link the teams to the scores that they can have…
    I have another table that will hold the teams and their scores for that date…
    But I have no idea on how to create the tabular form, with the teams in 1 column that are fixed, and the scores in the next column… and then save those back to the TeamScores table…
    +(If there was another team added I would want them added to the form dynamically and if there was a new score I would like that shown in the ddl list dynamically…)+

    and when preview the form ir works but in the sharepoint list it doese'nt work when I filter it with the field=[me]
    and when preview the form in InfoPath after the display name there is 3 #
    and I thins these # is the problem

    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to fill automatically the person column in the second list based on the internal number.
    I did a test as the followings:
    Create a list called ListA, and add two column: internal number(single line of text), person(Person&Group).
    Add some items into the ListA.
    Create another list called ListB, and add two column: internal number(single line of text), personB(Person&Group).
    Customize ListB with InfoPath, and click the column “internal number”.
    Set a rule for the column as the screenshot.
    After the above, I tested in ListB, it worked well.
    Then I set a filter personB=[me], it also worked well.
    Please have a try as my steps, compare the result.

  • Update text fields with xml data based on DDL selection of an ID number

    Hi guys,
    this one should be straight forward, but I cant seem to find a straight forward answer.  In a nutshell:
    XML file contains ID, Name, Location (so far 3 records in sample xml file)
    Form contains a Dynamic Drop down list to allow selection of ID and text fields to display the associated name and location of that ID.  The binding of the Drop down works fine, however I need the other fields to update to the associated name and location when different ID's are selected.  I assume I'll need some sort of exit event on the drop down list to update the other fields with the Name and location of the ID selected, but I dont know enough to have a stab at it.
    please, please, please help, Im starting to pull my hair out.

    This would depend on the structure of your XML but assuming you have something like;

                            <Name>Name2</Name>
                            <Location>Location2</Location>
                </Item>

                            <Name>Name3</Name>
                            <Location>Location3</Location>
                </Item>
    </Data>
    Then in the change event of your dropdown (your could use the exit event but then value might not have changed so would be performing unnecessary processing) add the following code.
    var itemGroup = $data.Data.resolveNode("Item.(Id.value === '"+xfa.event.change+"')");
    Name.rawValue = itemGroup.Name.value;
    Location.rawValue = itemGroup.Location.value;
    The xfa.event.change will be the value selected, the resolveNode will return the Item with the matching Id, and then it is just a matter of assigning it to your form fields.

  • Tabular form: run procedure with Submit button

    I am trying to create a form (pulling from two tables) that allows for 'one' column to be modified. Once you hit submit I'd like the following procedure to run:

    This will update the associated completion dates (additional populated columns in the form) based off the change done by the end user for that 'one' column and return you back to the same page with the updated dates.
    but i keep getting the following error when i test it out:
    Error in mru internal routine: ORA-20001: no data found in tabular form
    Error Unable to process update.

    Hello:
    What is the need for the MRU process ? It appears to me that you want to control the DML actions to be taken on submitting the form. If this is the case then all you have to do is to define a 'after submit' page to invoke the 'Ht_bpe.populate_schedule' procedure.

  • PDF file size grows each time form is saved (with no data changes). Why?

    I have an SAP Adobe form (PDF) and we are seeing a difference in the Save behavior between when it is viewed in Adobe Reader vs. the adobe plug-in(?) for Internet Explorer.
    When the form is viewed in Internet Explorer, every time the user saves the form the file size grows (even with no data changes in the form - i.e., open the form, hit save).  This is not true if the form is opened in Adobe Reader.
    The form in question has multiple pages but the only fields directly bound to the SAP source are a handful of identifiers (e.g., order number) and a dynamic table.  It appears from our testing that the more entries in the table when the form is created, the greater the size increase each time the file is saved.  The table length is not changed after the form is first generated.
    Is there a known difference in the behavior of Adobe Reader vs. the browser plug-in which would account for this difference?  Our users have Adobe Reader X installed on their machines.

    If this is an XFA form, as opposed to an Acroform, you should ask in the LiveCycle Desiger forum or a more relevant LiveCycle forum.
