Port issue while rebooting Webserver

Hi guys,
I have weblogic8.1,pt8.44 and HRMS8.8 on Solaris 8 and oracle9i.
I have verisign certification installed on webserver and when i'm rebooting the webserver i'm getting the following error:
<Emergency> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000351> <
Unable to create a server socket on Channel Default for port: 443. java.net.Bind
Exception: Address already in use Perhaps another process is using port 443.>
443 is our SSL port.Although the webserver is running, but the verisign or internet link isn't working.
When I check netstat -an | grep 443, i'm getting the following values:

Hi Guys,
The issue has been solved. I have cleared the hanging ports by using lsof.Now, after rebooting the webserver I was able to access the verisign link.

Is this the first time you have tried to launch the Upgrade assitant???
Could not bind to port 4239.
java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind
As the above error says that Address is already in use it looks like upgrade assitant is already running.
Check if there is any SAPup process running and try to launch the Upgrade URL (http://hostname:4239)

Issue While sending data to Webserver

Hi All,
I am facing an issue while sending data to a webserver. My scenario is SAP(Proxy) to XI to Webserver. It is an asynchronous scenario. The same communication channel and same WSDL is used to send many Interfaces but when I am sending data for a particular Interface I am facing the issue "SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request"
Few points for reference -
1. I am sending valid data to the webserver(Confirmed by the webserver guy).
2. The WSDL is the latest one and the same WSDL is used at their end to receive the data.
3. The schema I am using to send the data is also the latest ones.
4. The same payload when sent through SOAPUI tool reaches the web server.
5. The same communcation channel is used to send data for all the messages. All other messages are reaching the webserver except this message.
Can anyone please provide me some solution for this issue.

SInce you are using only one receiver channel for all WSDL operations, I hope you are setting SOAP action for each message type (operation) using dynamic configuration during mapping or at module level(in the soap receiver channel using DC bean).

Cross verify again all the design and configurations. check the MONI for Dynamic configuration header for this particular message if you are setting the same during mapping.

Finally you can use some Sniffer tools to verify the requests that are being sent from XI and you can compare with SOAP UI tool request which is sending correct request in your case.

Embedded JMS/OC4J issue while running an application in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2

I am facing an issue while running an application on my laptop.I downloaded Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2.Installed Jheadstart along with that.
Created a new application specified in HR demo.When I run the application I get following messages,After that it does not show my application pages.It does not even open browser window.

Issues while creating a search project in BCC

Migrating the apps from 2007.3 to 10.0.3.Experiencing issues while creating a search project.
Step #1.In Search Administration,navigating through Project > Global Settings & creating a Content Label named as "Catalog"
Step #2.Navigating through Project > Create Production Project.Creating a project with Content Set as "CatalogSet"
Step #3.Adding a Content with this info:
          Content Name: Catalog
          Type of Content : ATG Repository
          IndexingOutputConfig Path : /atg/commerce/search/ProductCatalogOutputConfig
          Host name : localhost
          RMI : 10160 ( RMI port of commerce instance)
     Creating a content & getting the message as New Content "CatalogTest" has been created.
     Issue #1: Content is not displaying in the Content eventhough content has been created successfully.
     Issue #2: Getting error for "Default Text Processing Options"
     You can refer these issues in the attached screenshot "Content-Page-with-error.jpg"
Step #4.Creating a new TPO as "English" & trying to "Associate Search Project" & getting an error.Refer the attached error log "Associate-Search-Project.log"
Due to these issues, "Build Index" button is disabled.Did anybody experienced these issues? Any help/comments are appreciated.
Also attached the full server logs as commerce-server.log & publishing-server.log.

We faced the same problem when migrating from 2007 to ATG 10.0.3. The reason this error comes up is because the Search depends on a local customization adapter /atg/searchadmin/adapter/customization/LocalCustomizationDataAdapter which adds English as a language in the text processing options.
After the migration you need to import the initial ATG search related data into your Search schema. These instructions have been mentioned in the ATG install guide. Here is the extract from the docs.
Note: The import scripts import data using startSQLRepository. Make sure your JTDataSource and
FakeXADatasource are configured to permit this in home/localconfig. JTDataSource should automatically
point to FakeXADataSource. FakeXADataSource should point to the administration database, and
FaxeXADataSource_production should point to the production database. Note that some product
installation processes, including Oracle ATG Web Knowledge Manager Self Service, need FakeXADataSource
pointed at the production database, so you may need to change the FakeXADataSource between installations.
once you are done with the configurations above, import only the searchadmindata xml into search schema as this imports the LocalCustomizationDataAdapter config information into your search schema. Once this is done, you should be good to index.

How to use non default port 1521 while 11.2.0.1 grid upgrade to 11.2.0.2

Hi Team ,
We are planning 11.2.0.1 Grid infra rolling upgrade to 11.2.0.2 with out any downtime.
But while up gradation due to default scan port 1521 , 11.2.0.1 databases are not able to connect (remote connections)
We are using 1900 port for existing 11.2.0.1 grid infra scan.
While up gradation it is taking default port of 1521 insted of existing port 1900.
Please provide the solution to use non default port while 11.2.0.2 up gradation.
After upgrade the status as below.

Why are you using a non default port? It does not improve security. It makes network management more complex. And causes the type of issues that you are facing now.
So before changing defaults, make sure that your reasons are technically sound. And using port 1900 when 1521 is available, is not technically sound by any means.
As for addressing the problem you have created for yourself by mucking around with port numbers. Use a NAT firewall (on each RAC node) to rewrite packets headers received on port 1900 and send these to the server's port 1521 instead (on the VIP or static IP as required).
This can be fairly easily done using iptables if your o/s is Linux. You need to:
a) create a pre-routing NAT rule
b) create a post-routing NAT rule
c) create a forwarding filter rule for port 1900/tcp
d) create an input filter rule to accept traffic on 1900/tcp

Issues while Auto Import

Hi Guru's
I am facing some issue while trying to Import Article to MDM Automatically..XML just fails and goes from Ready folder to Exception folder..
I dont know why it happens ..because when i open the same XML in Import manager(with same map) and click on Import tab it doesnt give any mssg like for eg "this segment is to be mapped" Or so...
It just says Ready for Import .. Dont know why its failing while trying to Import Automatically...
Import log says:-
"Some portions of this import map are out of date.<LF/> ..Solution: Please, Launch the Import Manager GUI, preferably using the original source file that the map was generated for, otherwise the same source file and Save Update [File->Save Update] the map"
Has anyone come across such issue as i wont be able to open each XMl manually and then import it..
Any setting i need to make to avoid this..

Hi Vikrant,
I have faced this probelm before while working in a project and I was able to resolve this issue.
This problem comes when the Map that you have saved in the Import Manger and used in the Console port Setting becomes Outdated.
The error comes because you have some field in the current Source file that you are trying to import, which was not in the file which you have used to save the Map. Please refer to the Log. It will given there- > Undefined element.
While working with Import Server, you will have to open the Source file with the Map that you have saved. Ans as Micheal Also said, GO to File-> Save update.
If it still doent work, then you will have to manually add the undefined field in the Source File that you had used to save the Map. And then Save the Map again. Your saved map should have all the fields which are there in the current file.
Hopefully it will work.

Below line in CRMS_KR.htm was causing the problem because while directly hitting the CRMS_KR.htm we had hard-coded all the tag values which in other case is read from formweb.cfg

We followed steps mentioned in for integration. WE have two SoA instances, home, oc4j_soa.

But when we try restarting SoA, it gives error. If we replace the above to point to XML-based jazn then SoA starts succcessfully.

Port issue in File Source Search

Hi,
I'm facing an issue while trying to open a file from the searched results on my web page.
My web application is running on 7002 port to which the url is pointing to, while opening the file and SES is running on 7777 port.
Please let me know the correct way to open a file from a custom web page that is obtained from the file source search results.

ISSUES WHILE STARTING HTTP SERVER FOR A NEW INSTALLATION OF 10G AS

I installed 10g AS version 10.1.3.1. I am having this issue while running the installation:
The Configuration assistants are failing with the following error:

I am using a staticports.ini file with the following values
Oracle HTTP Server port =81
Oracle HTTP Server Listen port = 81
Oracle HTTP Server SSL port = 444
Oracle HTTP Server Listen (SSL) port = 444
I am not sure what the following are for and what values i should for them so i commented them
#Oracle Notification Server Request port = port_num
#Oracle Notification Server Local port = port_num
#Oracle Notification Server Remote port = port_num
#ASG port = port_num

Port numbers less than 1024 are privileged ports on Unix/Linux. In order for OHS to run on one of the privileged port (e.g. 81 and 441 in your case) you must enable OHS to run as root. By default OHS runs a non-root user, the user that installed Oracle Application Server.
So to start with installer do not specify custom (static) ports and complete the installation. OHS will be assigned some non-privileged port by installer. Post installation follow the instructions here to change the ports to 81 and 441:

Am getting network issue while log in to Essbase sever in console :
Below is error :
Network error 10061 : Unable to connect server .the client timed out waiting to connect the essbase agent TCP/IP. Check your network connections Also make sure Server and port values are correct.
i have recycled all services and pinged from one server to another server every thing is working fine. but am getting above error.
Please help me out. Required all your suggestion and appreciated if anybody provides solution.

Issues while installing powershell V3.0

Hello Folks,
I am facing issues while installing powershell V3.0 on Windows 7 ultimate x64 machine.
It is throwing error as "The update is not applicable to your
computer." when I double click Windows6.1-KB2506143-x64 file.
Have checked that it have powershell V2.0 builtin in windows 7 and working as expected.
Have installed .NET framework 4.0 Full, then reinstalled
again rebooted machine.
Have tried with .NET framework 4.5 Full, still issue persists.
tried below workaround suggested on a forum:
start /w %SystemRoot%\system32\pkgmgr.exe /ip /m:Windows6.1-
KB2506143-x64.cab through CMD
IT returns error as:
Operation failed with 0x80070003
The system cant find the path specified
I am not able to figure out what exactly is going wrong.
Could someone please jump in to help ?
