Oracle Portal returns 500 error running under Weblogic 11g server
I've got Oracle Portal set up under Weblogic 11g.
SSO running, talking to OID 11g, also running under the same Weblogic 11g server. Tested SSO, it is working well.
After the install (no errors or issue on install), I go to http://<server>:8090/portal/pls/portal and geta Error 500 - Internal Server Error.
I traced down the problem to OHS - in ohs1.log:
[2009-08-04T10:09:15.0512-05:00] [OHS] [ERROR:32] [OHS-9999] [odl_log.c] [host_id: <server>] [host_addr: 127.0.0.1] [tid: 1320139072] [user: oracle] [ecid: 004S594zs25Fw000jzwkno0002740001NK] [rid: 0] [VirtualHost: main] Request Failed for : /portal/pls/portal, Resp Code : [500]

So the problem is favicon.ico is missing, which I confirmed. Does this mean a bad deployment of an .EAR file? What should I do?Yes, it seems you are correct....this is from WLS_PORTAL-diagnostic.log
Looks like the real problem is ERROR: Failed to load C shared library in RepositoryGateway after calling RepositoryGatewayJNI.load:

Portal EP 7.3 FQDN Throwing HTTP Internal Error 500 on every link
Hi Expert,
Currently we have a strange issue on the portal 7.3 that might you had this issue also. The problem is, everytime we use the FQDN, all the links in the j2ee / portal will throwing an error 500. Currently the portal was on initial sp level and connect to the Abap UME. If we use without fqdn, just normal hostname its fine.
The error message from default trace is like below:

Try to repeat PostInstallation steps for BI Java(Netweaver Administrator - Deploy and Change - Configuration Wizard - BI-Java / Technical configuration of BI-Java (repeatable, reproducible)).
Or you can only try to maintain JCo Destinations, but it is included in step mentioned above.

Hi all,
We are using EP 7.0 as front end and ECC 6.0 as back end .
We are often getting iview runtime error and TEA portal error, due to which link is not opened for the end users, so as recommeded by SAP ,every week end we are restarting the Portal server .
Is the any other solution to resolve this issue , without restarting the server.
Is it issue with GC , if so could you please provide me useful notes to resolve this issue.
Kindlu suggest us hereHi Tharun,
Thanks for your reply
We are getting the error while trying to access the TEA of EP portal

Some sort of "general server error" returns a 500 code, but I can't tell from this what the problem(s) might be. Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks.Go to the server running Workflow Manager and open the Event Viewer; Applications and Services Logs; Microsoft-Workflow; Operational; and look for the underlying error. In our case, the CU for Workflow Manager did something to the SQL permissions and
we ended up using the workaraound described here:

Azure Cloud Service internal server error (500) while scaling up
I experienced multiple times that scaling up a Cloud Service from 1 (small) instance to 2 (small) instances causes a few minutes of downtime with request returning a an error 500. Is this how it's supposed to work?
Thanks for the reply!
Every initialization code is in OnStart() and in case of .cmd scripts, in <Startup> <Task>s inside the service definition... So I suppose until that is run to completion the Azure load balancer shouldn't dispatch any requests to the new instance.
I tested today everything again, this time with Windows Server 2012 R2 (the Cloud Service didn't use R2 before). The issue is the same:
Scaling up the service to two instance.
Second instance is being deployed and starts.
Requests going to the first instance work (i.e. since clients stick to their instance users who visited the site before the scale-up will continue to be serve through the first instance, hence not noticing anything). Requests going to the second instance
don't work (internal server error), but the main issue is that requests start to go to the second instance before it is fully initialized!
(I.e. Azure Management Portal says the role is starting, but still, I can manage to get my request to it, thus I suppose the load balancer does dispatch requests while the role is not fully started yet.)
Failed request tracing doesn't show anything related (it started to trace after the role got full initialized, but requests reached the instance before this). I can clearly see from the event logs that the ARR installation (run as a startup task) ended after
the first requests could reach it.
To summarize, when scaling up the following happens with the second, initializing instance:
The instance's state is correctly shown on the Management Portal and it's busy, starting.
The instance still gets requests before it gets fully started.
After the instance is fully started everything works normally.
Is this normal? -

Please help.Unfortunately your post is off topic here, in the TechNet Site Feedback forum, because it is not Feedback about the TechNet Website or Subscription.
This is only one forum among the many that are on the TechNet Discussion Forums, and given your post, you likely chose the wrong forum.
This is a standard response I’ve written up in advance to help many people (thousands, really.) who post their question in this forum in error, but please don’t ignore it.
The links I share below I’ve collected to help you get right where you need to go with your issue.
For technical issues with Microsoft products that you would run into as an
end user of those products, one great source of info and help is
http://answers.microsoft.com, which has sections for Windows, Hotmail, Office, IE, and other products. Office related forums
are also here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/contact-us-FX103894077.aspx
For Technical issues with Microsoft products that you might have as an
IT professional (like technical installation issues, or other IT issues), you should head to the TechNet Discussion forums at
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-us, and search for your product name.
For issues with products you might have as a Developer (like how to talk to APIs, what version of software do what, or other developer issues), you should head to the
MSDN discussion forums at http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-us, and search for your product or issue.
If you’re asking a question particularly about one of the Microsoft Dynamics products, a great place to start is here:
http://community.dynamics.com/
If you really think your issue is related to the subscription or the TechNet Website, and I screwed up, I apologize!
Please repost your question to the discussion forum and include much more detail about your problem, that could include screenshots of the issue (do not include subscription information or product keys in your screenshots!), and/or links to the problem
you’re seeing.
If you really had no idea where to post this question but you still posted it here, you still shouldn’t have because we have a forum just for you!
It’s called the Where is the forum for…? forum and it’s here: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/whatforum/
Moving to off topic.

Error 500--Internal Server Error while opening a taskflow in inline popup
Hi,
I am getting "Error 500--Internal Server Error" while opening a bounded taskflow as a popup from another bounded taskflow containing page fragments. The popup taskflow contains jspx pages. I even removed the jspx pages from the popup taskflow to check if the error is resulting from the bindings on the pages but still I get the same error. The entire stack trace of the error in the popup dialog is :

KKHi Frank,
Thanks for the reply. I am using it as an inline popup. I am trying to create command links dynamically in an iterator. When a link is clicked a popup window opens. The text of the link is passed to the popup window by creating a variable in the session scope ( I even tried request scope) by an action listener in the backing bean.
I tried to create another simple application with a static command button which passes its text to popup window through a session scope variable. It worked fine. I am not sure why the same procedure is not working in my original application. Can you give me a hint what could possibly go wrong according the exception stack trace ?
Thanks,

HTTP Error 500.0 with CF 9 & IIS 7.5 32 bit enabled web app
Hello !
I have recently installed CF 9 64 bit on Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition R2 with IIS 7.5. I have just set the 'Enable 32 bit applications' option on the application pool settings to 'true' for one of the sites as I have some web pages that make use of a 32 bit COM DLL. I originally had this option set to 'false' and all of the web pages in my site were being served fine with the exception of the ones making use of the 32 bit COM DLL.
The details on the error message from IIS are as follows:
HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error
Detailed Error Information:
Module: IsapiModule
Notification: ExecuteRequestHandler
Handler: AboMapperCustom-75500
Error Code: 0x800700c1
Most Likely causes:
IIS received the request; however, an internal error occurred during the processing of the request. The root cause of this error depends on which module handles the request and what was happening in the worker process when this error occurred.
IIS was not able to access the web.config file for the Web site or application. This can occur if the NTFS permissions are set incorrectly.
IIS was not able to process configuration for the Web site or application.
The authenticated user does not have permission to use this DLL.
The request is mapped to a managed handler but the .NET Extensibility Feature is not installed.
Things you can try:
Ensure that the NTFS permissions for the web.config file are correct and allow access to the Web server's machine account.
Check the event logs to see if any additional information was logged.
Verify the permissions for the DLL.
Install the .NET Extensibility feature if the request is mapped to a managed handler.
Create a tracing rule to track failed requests for this HTTP status code. For more information about creating a tracing rule for failed requests, click here.
I am not sure if the error is permissions related or not.
1. How do I rectify this error and still keep the 'Enable 32 application' option turned on so I can call a 32 bit COM DLL ?
2. In general, can the 64 bit version of CF 9 even invoke 32 bit COM DLL's on IIS 7.5 or should this only be done with the 32 bit version of CF 9 ?
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you.Here is the info:
http://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-security-hotfix-apsb12-15.html
See notes section 5
CF9.0.2 came out with apsb12-15 applied.
Difference with CF10 is you can use CFadmin to change postparamlimit setting.
Cheers, Carl. -
ADFS 3.0 - Internal Server Error 500, Event ID 342
Hello all,
I have a trouble testing ADFS 3.0 (Windows Server 2012 R2) working in a clean test Azure VM environment.
First, I did a standard setup (DC and a separate ADFS server machine) with all the default settings, letting wizard to set up gMSA service account for the ADFS service. It did not quite work – details below. Then I reinstalled ADFS following this setup guide:
http://www.schmarr.com/Blog/Post/12/Installing-Windows-2012-R2-Server-ADFS-Service-
It did not help.
Here is what happens: when I try to request SAML security token calling: /adfs/services/trust/13/UsernameMixed server responds with http error 500 - internal server error while call to /FederationMetadata/2007-06/FederationMetadata.xml returns expected result.
Please advise. I have no clue what could be wrong. Log messages below.
