where can I put something like:

Problem running Portal query using precalculated data

We are trying to use precalcualated data to run queries in our portal and are running into some issues.
We have a query with an attached template which uses the cost center group parameter (ksg) to show particular cost centers from a hierarchy created in RSH1. The query works fine from the BW menu and shows only those cost centers which it should, based on the hierarchy.
In the Reporting Agent Setting of Administrators workbench (RSA1) we created a reporting agent setting to precalcuate the data and scheduled it to run every couple of hours.
We have an ivew on our portal which runs the query with the template. If we add a data_mode parameter and set it to stored, the query seems to use the precalculated data but it seems to ignore the users ksg parameter setting and shows the entire hierarchy of cost centers on the first screen. If we scroll down to the bottom of the screen and use the down arrow to get the next set of rows, the next screen show the data for only our cost centers based on our ksg parameter setting.
However, if we change the data_mode parameter setting to u2018newu2019 the query works as it should and we see the correct cost centers, and not all the ones in the hierarchy so it is going to the OLAP engine for new data and not using the precalculated data.
We have tried various combination of settings on the Parameter tab of the Change Reporting Agent Setting screen. We have specified the query name in the Cntrl Query screen. If we switch from u2018no filteringu2019 to u2018explicity through Query Rsltu2019 the process chain errors out and will not precalc the data.

BEX WAD 7.0: Chart Takes Long Time to Display in Portal - Query runs FAST

I have a BEx WAD 7.0 template which contains 3 column charts (each with it's own seperate DataProvider/Query). When the page loads...two of the charts show up right away, but one of them takes almost a minute to display on the screen (I thought it was missing at first).
I ran all three queries in the BEx Query Analyzer (including the one for the chart that takes forever to load) and they all complete within 3 seconds of hitting "Execute." So I don't believe it is the query causing this issue.
The chart that doesn't show up right away does have more data to display than the other two...but I have queries/charts on other web templates that contain 3-times the data of this one and show up fine when executed in the portal.
Anyone else having this issue or have an idea on how I can optimize the WAD charts and/or find out what is causing this issue? Again...the query that fuels this chart completes its execution in about 3-4 seconds.

have you already checked how much time the IGS consumes when creating the charts?
Run TA SIGS and check the statistics values.

我也在对比他们的WAD，还有找一些资料。但是还是希望有人能指点一下，又没有什么方向或者提示呢？

导出那个按钮是否是从别的container item里复制粘贴过来的？
里面要导出的东西是否还是原来的图表？
另外这是是否用了layout布局？
是的话，检查一下里面包含的按钮是不是别的container item里的按钮？
我前段时间开发WAD，出现类似的问题一般都是这两种原因造成的。

Portal query expression language specification

I'm looking for a definition of the query language used by WLP for content searching,
but can't find it anywhere.
There's a little about it in the javadoc for the com.bea.p13n.content.expression.ExpressionHelper#parse(String)
method, but this refers to the Personalization Server documentation for a full
definition. Unfortunately I can't find this documentation.
Can anyone help?

I looked around and I think the WLP 7.0 version of this
documentation inadvertently didn't make it into the online
docs, as far as I can tell. It will be there for SP1 (which
I think is coming soon, but I don't have a date for you).
I found the equivalent reference from the WLP 4.0 docs at:

This appears to be roughly the same document as the internal
doc I found that should be on the edocs site for WLP 7.0. As
you'll notice, the edoc references the javadoc, which references
the edoc. :) But there is non-overlapping (and more detailed)
information in the edoc, which is probably what you want. Sorry
about the missing doc.

Oracle WebCenter Portal query

Now I have 3 tabs: Home, Staff and Student. When I expand Home tab, there are Home and Documents. When I expand Staff tab and Student tab, there is Home. Log on to portal, go to system administration --> support -->portal run time --> browse deployment --> deployment over view -->here you will find "Click <b>here</b> to display all component archives." so just click on this link, here all records of all your deployments gets stored.

Portal Query: Enhancing infotype 77(Additional person) with screen control

Here is an interesting one. I am on EP7 and we have a customized infotype 77 development. The population of one of the infotype fields dictates the appearance of sub screens and other fields in the backend.
When i use the web dynpro iview and select edit enhanced fields, i see all the options and can see all the bespoke fields added in R3. However this is not what we need, we want the decision of which fields to appear decided dynamically the way it happens in the backend.
The other option I have is to use PZ56 as sapgui for html, but there is no function group for additional personal info in V_T588M_ESS.
Hence I am stuck, any suggestions or inputs will be granted points.

2.As per previous discussions tried
implementing SAP notes to change ICM parameter for max of 10 minutes.
However, it is said by Basis team that they
can change parameter only if all the report gives the same error.
Since all the report works fine they are nt

the system to 7.3. post - upgrade. this report was working fine before.
6. Even in the portal, report works fine
when we use ABAP web link.
In the trace file there is a error message
for this report "Could not find a command, masscommand or group command
with alias <new task>. It is defined in group .
<TaskCollectionGroup>. pls any one help me. This is for 7.31 NW portal

There are issues in portal where some buttons (delete, undo, copy/paste - IP funcitonalities) are not working. When we find java script in the background is not working properly. there is no sequence of call in the java script after upgrade. In trace, for some reports with this issue has same error like "could not find command..." . My question is .. is there any possibility that these java scripts corrupt occurs because of this KM components?

SAP Query in VC

Hi,
I have set up a SAP Query connection in Portal and I can see all the InfoSets from the R/3 System in Visual Composer Design Time. Connection Test is green. I drag and drop a InfoSet Query in my model but in runtime a got an error.
What could be the problem ???

Select query failing to return all values

So I've just completed my first batch insert into DocumentDB and ran into the following irregularity while verifying my documents were added correctly. I am seeing this issue through the Portal Query Explorer and the Python SDK.
I have found 4 id values that are in my collection, but won't get returned in a Select all type query.
Queries I've used to select just that item/document. These work correctly and return my document. Therefore, I assume the document is in the collection.
SELECT * FROM Matches m WHERE m.id = "2997"
SELECT VALUE m.id FROM Matches m WHERE m.id = "2997"
However, when doing a broader SELECT query, some ids are not returned.
SELECT * FROM Matches
SELECT VALUE m.id FROM Matches m
Neither of the above queries return the document with id "2997". I've three other ids where this is the case.
Am I missing something obvious here, or is there a bug? I've added all ~991 documents into the collection using the same batch program.

I also have some issues with pages. When I execute a simple query like:
SELECT x FROM Root x
or
SELECT s FROM Root x JOIN s IN x.Children
(The Children array contains more than 100 items)
And I use the AsDocumentQuery() method in the c# API, iterating through the pages works fine (the continuation token is returned in the request)
But when I execute the following query:
SELECT s FROM Root x JOIN s IN x.Children WHERE x.id = "<guid>"
the continuation token is not returned so I can't get to the next pages.
Is this related to the same bug ?

Publishing from WAD & publishing from Query

Hi Experts,
1.) I see two options avialable to publish to portal, query level and from WAD. could any one explain why or when do we use these options.
2.) If we add a new web item to the existing default template like 0analysis pattern ? what will be the next steps... should the new template be replaced and published, where should it be saved or replaced ?
Please briefly enlighten me the flow from query ,WAD and finally to portal.

1. Publish from query -> Default tables and charts, Publish from WAD-> you can show lots of Web objects like Ticker, Tables, Charts....all items part of yor Web template( now Scripts , command wizards help to display the way you want)
2.Add new to Standard template-> save as with your own name->Use your template in your Web templates
