Portal Warning

Hi All
actually for our business needs we developed some roles and make them as an entry point in the portal.now when i click on some particular roles those are working fine but when i click on some roles then i am getting some Portal related warning and page is not displaying.
the following portal warning is coming when i click on 2 or 3 roles remaing roles are working fine and page is displaying
WARNING
Error while silently connecting: org.w3c.www.protocol.http.HttpException: iaik.security.ssl.SSLException: Server certificate rejected by ChainVerifier.
as per the warning if we think server certificate rejected by chainviewer then why other roles are working properly with out any error or warning.
earlier also i posted this query but till now i didn't get the right solution to solve this issue.
please reply.....

Can someone see anything obviously wrong with this? "Application Server 8.1 Servlet 2.4//EN" is suspicious given In don't have app server...

ok, fixed it.
Putting the dtd on a machine that it can see solved it... would be nice if the doc mentioned that your test machine (the one that it warns is insecure as everything is installed as root etc etc) needs to have outgoing internet access...

Oddly, requesting that dtd from sun gives a 500 - using:

Problems Installing PS 6.2 with S1 Web Server 6.1 ?

Im trying to install PS 6.2 (beta) against S1 Web Serer 6.1 and having all these problems during web server startup. Installation of both Portal 6.2 / Identity 6.1 went on fine without any trouble. Below is the exception. Has anybody faced this exception before.

Mimes Object doesn't exixts warning message in bi report on Portal.

Hi All,
We have integrated bi 7.0 reports on portal 7.01 . reports are working fine first time with out any warning .
But when we try to change the drop down value for display as field (Table, Graphic, Table and Graphic) or when we click any buutton New Analysis, Open , Save As etc we are getting following error.

LSO Portal - Course Follow-up Warning Message in Portal

Hi Gurus
When i try to do the course follow-up in portal , i get a warning message after i complete the attendance & course assessment of the participants and when roadmap status is at completed , i get a warning message on top of the roadmap that "Your Course Follow-Up could not be saved". This happens in the LSO portal from administrators role.
We have setup the right control options at course type level.
Please help with your inputs.

I have checked the master data and found that everything is fine.
When i try to follow up from R/3 , i get a error message in the last step of follow up activity as "Error While data was intserted in the database".
Strangely this happens for the course which got over on 12-Aug-10 , but the same course which was on 13-Aug-10 , we were able to follow up the course from the portal without any errors.
I have checked the relationships , schedules, correspondence infotype etc , all the data items are maintained identical and all the participants are active in the system.

Warning message on the portal

Hi,
We are able to get error message on the cProjects portal using the method MESSAGE_ADD of class CL_RPM_MESSAGE_SERVICES by passing type E. But when i try to pass type W or I for warning or information message it does not show up on the portal. How do we display a warning message on the cProjects portal.

SR1 to SP14 Upgrade - Portal Platform Warning

Hello all,
I am upgrading the recently installed SR1 to SP12. I successfully applied the Patch for WEBAS J2EE server. Now I'm trying to apply Portal Platform patches. During the "Deploy EAR Files" phase (6 of 12), it gave a warning Message box saying "The deloplyment may require manual postprocessing. See output of logfile C:\ProgramFiles\sapinst_instdir\callSdmViaSapinst.log' and in the status Bar it said 'Finished but with Warning'.
When I checked the log file i didnt fine any error or warning. It seems to me fine. Wonder what this message means.
(During the WAS Upgrade i upgraded the Central Instance and I dont have any other dialog instances).
But After I clicked Ok on the message box, the installation continued Normally and it seems to be going fine.
Can anyone help me out in this ?

One more question before i end this thread. I am new to portals and we are installing Portal on the Test box. To demonstrate the upper authorities how it might help for the company. I have so far installed SR1 and now upgrading to SP14. I have not installed TREX so far but will be installing in future. We are installing everything onto one box. I have installed Oracle database, WEBAS, Portal and KMC on the same drive(D:). The drive capacity is 34GB and i have so far used 11.5 GB and left with like 22.5GB. So my question is if I install TREX on another Drive (E:), will 22.5GB space on D: sufficient for doing the development which includes ESS, MSS import and bit of development?

Security warning while printing PO from SAP Portal.

Dear Experts,
We are facing below error while printing PO from SAP Portal. After accepting the condition and clicking on RUN the pop-up comes again and again.
Please could you advise the resolution of this. Does any browser setting needs to be changed ?

Please try below steps...
1. Go into the Control Panel
2. Double click on Java to open the Java Control Panel
3. Go to the Advanced Tab
4. Expand Mixed code
5. Select the option for “Enable – hide warning and run with protections”

Warning message in BW Report through Portal

I really need your help to remove the waring message.
For the purpose of changing the description on the Selection screen from Cost Cetnters (Authorised Values) to Funds Centers I had changed the ZCCTRATI variable description to Funds Centers
Issue:
When we open the old report we see the following information message.
" Value if variable ZCCTRAT1 is automatically converted
I did go to TC RSRT as of Dinesh,Vijay advice ,Just want to know that what message i need to Click .because i could nt find the relevant message

Edit to add: Here I assume you have a Web Application Designer (WAD) report.
You can suppress system and warning messages in WAD. Try this and see if it helps.
- Go to your WAD report
- In the top part of the properties window there is a drop down box. Open this box and select the top level entry there. This should be the name of your report.
- Click Web Item
- Check the following two checkboxes: "Do not Display System Messages" and "Do not Display Warnings".

Warning message in portal after upgrade

There are warning messages coming in web reports after upgrade to 7.31. In trace we could find the message " The unique is bbeleno is not valid" . Anyone has any input? pls help

Does this warning happen to all web reports?
This doesn't look like a reporting error message. Are you sure "bbeleno" is not a user that has been defined for some background connection between the ABAP and JAVA stacks? Check in SU01D to see if that bbeleno might be incorrectly set as a system user, or if it is used in the RFC connections between ABAP and JAVA.
You say you get the warning in RSRT but was it executed on the ABAP stack ? You can try using RSRT2 and click on ABAP for that.

Warning on close of main-portal window.

Please, do someone give me a hint how to fire a pop-up window to request the user if he realy wants to close the window (in fact the application) BEFORE the window is realy closed. So, the user can cancel this close. I am talking about the 'close' buttom on the upper right corner of the window.
In jsp/html you can use the onbeforeunload() command in the body-tag, but I don't no where to place it in the start-up of the portal. In the index.htm file at .../cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon, I can not find an entry point.

Is SSO configured fine between portal and backend? Are you able to open SAPGUI through portal? ie., in System Administration->Support->SAP Application->SAP Transaction-> <System Alias>
Also check if the portal certificate is valid under System Administration-> Keystore administration.

IE warning when viewing payslip iView in Portal

Hi there,
Several years ago, we developed a simple ESS solution in our portal. We have 3 pages - 1 for viewing payslips, 1 for address data, and 1 for bank details. Each of these is an iView that simply runs a transaction in our backend ERP system.
When a user clicks to display the address or bank details, the SAP GUI for HTML screen for these transactions appears - no problem. However, when we click to view the payslip, we are presented with an Internet Explorer message "this page contains both secure and nonsecure items" If we click the OK button, the SAP GUI for HTML screen appears as normal.
I'm assuming that there must be something particular with the payslip transaction that causes this error to appear. The iview for all these screens are set up the same, but its only this 1 iview which gives the error. The transaction being called by the iview is PZ11_PDF.
Our Portal and our ERP system are both NW7.0 SPS18, and both are enabled for https. Both systems have SSL certificates through an external certificate authority. Users are verified between the systems using Tickets.
Can anyone provide a solution, or any insight, into this problem?

In our Portal, we have our ABAP system configured to use SSL. ie. The ITS Hostname has the https port defined in it, and the ITS Protocol is https. Is this the only configuration that needs to occur on the portal?
In our ABAP system, we have an active https port defined - we can see this through transaction SMICM.
Upon further investigation, it appears at though it may be similar to the errors described at...

I conclude this because if I click "No" on the "do you want to display both secure and nonsecure items" popup, i can see the standard IE 404 page tries to be displayed in the main iframe before it is covered by the "correct" iframe content for this transaction. On the 404 page, the images are not being displayed.
Does anyone know any way to correct this, so that the iframe doesn't show a 404 error before it displays the correct content. This is a standard SAP transaction, so i'm not too keen on hacking it apart if there is a better way to do it.
