Hi,
Is SSO configured fine between portal and backend? Are you able to open SAPGUI through portal? ie., in System Administration->Support->SAP Application->SAP Transaction-> <System Alias>
Also check if the portal certificate is valid under System Administration-> Keystore administration.

How can I have a message pop up when clicking on digital signature that warns the person they are signing an official government document.  I invision the message popping up making the statement and a button within the message that can be clicked to sign it.  Any ideas?   form Attached
    Thanks
    Mike

Thats strange, cos it works when i add the code to the mouseDown event. When I click OK on the popUp it asks which handler I would like to use (I have a digital cert and a signing pad). I can then sign the doc and the form then attaches itself to an email. I do notice a small problem though... If i try to 'Cancel' (ie abort the signing process) when it asks which handler i want to use, the form still attaches itself to an email even though the sig field is empty. Im not sure if you want it to do that? I have attached the pdf with the code added. Let me know if it works.

  • Digital Signature in Quality Notification

    All,
I am getting the following Information message  while trying to perform the Digital Signature for the quality notification
No signatures exist for the header of the notification 2000000091
I have activated the OPS functions using SFW5 and done the configuration for 'Specify Digital Signature' in configuration for the Quality Notification. Kindly let me know why this error occurs.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi all,
Just addining some more details to my previous post.
I have a problem with standard Digital Signature for Quality notifications. I'm talking about standard function from EHP 3 and higher where DS is available in IMG customizing.
All settings I know seems to be correct but still it does not work.
Here is what I set up (or was there already):
    - new standard function in IMG was activated by basis
    - configured SSF and PSE digital signature in STRUST  with SAPSECULIB, no errors
    - access to object C_SIGN_BGR is provided in authorization role
    - user SSF settings done in SU01 - SSF ID & profile name from STRUST application parameters, RFC destination SAP_SSFATGUI --> but I found that this is not really necesarry to maintain when using signature with user ID and password, or is it?
    - check programs SSF01 & SSF02 shows no errors
    - System statuses DSAC and DSCL added as allowed for other notification statuses in BS22
    - configured Signature Strategy with standard authorization group 00000001, and standard individual signature 00000001. Signature method is R Sap user and password.
    - configured step "Specify Digital Signature" for Quality notification (under QM->Notifications->Processing. Standard type F2, few business transactions like PMM2 (put in process) or PMM4 (close) . Assigned strategy created in previos step.
Now, even after above custimizing is done, still the Digital Signature in QN does not work. According to documentation, after setting up "Specify Digital Signature" for Quality notification, system status DSAC should be assigned. In fact in my case it is not.
I guess I've missed some steps - do any of you have any idea what to do?
Thanks a lot in advance and br,

  • How (if at all) can Portal be used with Digital Signatures

We are looking at how to handle a web based Digital Signature/Digital Certificate application. If it was simply client/server the answer is pretty clear using OAS and the "Wallet Manager" on the client side.
Now, we have a potentially vast number of users who might logically use the web to access and submit information requiring a digital signature. Since they could be any where, we can't be in the business of handing out their certs, but we will have to be able to accept their certs. I'm glossing over the details here.

  • Want insertion of Digital Signature not to require a save

I have an issue that I would appreciate someone's help on. I have been with Adobe Tech Support via their portal. Yet I have not been able to establish whether what I want to accomplish is doable.
What I have is a document that actually consists of several documents, which in aggregate comprises our application for persons wanting to drive for us. For the sake of this scenario please understand that the document is not to be broken up into multiple files. It is created as a single document to facilitate the management of the numerous applicants by in-house staff.
Anyway - this form has multiple digital signatures. The department head insists on this as each section of this document has information to be attested to as original and accurate. However, we find that only the first digital signature is used to certify the document, and any additional serve only in a "confirming" capacity.
So we have this document with multiple digital signatures, the first of which certifies the document and the remaining as "confirmation". And all of these digital signature fields are set as "required" in their properties. The form is developed and presented for testing. So we enter just one of the several digital signatures and attempt to save the file. What we expected to happen was the pop-up of a dialogue to point out that all of the required digital signature fields were not completed. But no such warning arises, and this circumstance "raises an eyebrow" or two within the firm, who expect this edit to appear.
Based on recommendations from Adobe support I go out to the developers site and research scripting. After several hours I come away with a script that will indeed spawn a message when any digital signature is missing. However, another problem arises. After closing out the dialogue box and inserting the first of several missing digital signatures I am immediately required to save the file. The save works and here we have the form with several digital signatures still not signed. This allows the user to forward on the form to us, at which time the file will be reviewed and returned to the user for further completion. And in the event that only one of several missing signatures is entered, and the file again saved and forwarded, this scenario has the potential of being repeated several times.
Is there any way through scripting for the insertion of the digital signature not to spawn a save of the document? Thanks!

Is there any isight as to how this is done?
I am currently opening a file from Teamcenter engineering, however if I try to save the file it complains there is another copy open elsewhere (which isn't true).  I have to export the file first, save it and then check it back in.  It seems to be the only area that behaves like this, as I am able to markup the document add pages, etc and save the document just fine.
If I could remove the save as function and just use "Save" I think that this would help.
    Appreciate any/all replies!
    Regards,
    Sean.

  • Digital signature on LMS - issue with R/3 password

    Hi,
We have enabled the Digital Signature (FDA check) for Follow-up against WBT course delivery method. Once I click on 'Confirm Participation' link, I get a popup to provide username and password. I believe this popup checks for SAP (R/3) UserID and password. The problem is, Learning portal (HCM_LEARNING) is linked within SAP Enterprise portal and most of our users don't have backend access and no password. They only know thier portal username and password.
So definitely, when I put my portal login details into the Popup, it will error as the password is different to the ECC System.
Is there any work around solution for this issue? Has anyone been able to resolve the issue around password?
Would really appreciate if you could share the solution with us.
    Best,
    Jaya

    Hi
You need to Trigger an Outbound Message for generating the IDoc.
Using the process code, the IDoc interface finds the application selection module which converts the SAP document into an IDoc.
The process code is only used with applications which perform outbound processing via Message Control (NAST).
    goto Transaction NACE ,
Select the Application ME - Inventory mangament.
Clcik on Output types , Copy the Out Put type WA03 & create anew Out put type.
Selec the Output type & Click on Processing routines
Maintain the medium  6 - EDI , there is no standard print program for EDI So you need to create your own Program & form Routine
Check this form routine EDI_PROCESSING in program RSNASTED for having an idea.
After maintaining all the relevant EDI Paramters.
Maintain the message condition record using MN21 for the new out put type.
When you create a Goods issue the Message will be triggereed & Idoc will be trigerred , you can then transfer this into XI.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Use of active directory userid/password authentication instead of SAP R/3 User/Password for digital signature?

    Dear all,
I am looking to setup the use of active directory userid/password authentication instead of SAP R/3 User/Password for digital signature. We SSO to the backened ABAP AS via an SAP NW Portal to which SPNEgo kerberos authentication is setup. Today we specify R3 user id/password to digitally approvae a lot release. The idea is to have users maintain one AD password and don't have to remember the R/3 password anymore and also our Security team to avoid password maintenance.
I know there are 3 options for digital signature and
System signature with authorization by user ID and password (We use this currently)
Digital User signature with verification - (We would like to use this with AD userid/password, so the system still ask the users their AD userid/password for the authentication when they try to "sign" a document.)
    User signature without verification
Do you think there is a way to configure the system in order to ask and check the active directory userid/password instead of SAP R/3 password? Where can I found documentation about it ?
I have several different versions of AS ABAP starting from NW 7.02 to NW 7.31.
My active directory is based on Windows 2008.
    Thanks in advance!!
    Dhee

Actually enabling Kerberos for SSO purposes and enabling Kerberos for digital signatures are two different topics although the latter is because of the former. I'm interested in the topic as well and I'm currently looking at different options. SAP provides a BAdI for the digital signature API which can be used for external authentication but they do not provide the solution to invoke Kerberos authentication based on username and password. SAP provides a semi solution with NWSSO 2.0 SP2 which works only on Windows with classic dynpros meaning SAP GUI for Windows is assumed. The solution is based on an ActiveX component which does the actual Kerberos authentication using the Secure Login Client which is part of the NWSSO suite. Extending that implementation to non-Windows and non-GUI applications would require some sort of web enabled service that could be used to authenticate the user with username and password. In case authentication is successful, a Kerberos token would be returned to SAP which would then be validated. All the required pieces are there since SAP has Kerberos support now in both stacks of the NetWeaver Application Server, some bits are still missing though which leaves customers looking at 3rd party or custom solutions.

  • Making a Digital Signature Form

Hi, I am brand new to this forum, and thought that I would give it a try.  i am running Abobe Acrobat Pro 9.0.
I have been tasked with making a document that is Digital Signature ready.  In other works, I need to figure out how to make a Box, with a little red arrow, where somone runs the mouse pointer over the arrow, and a note comes up that says "To digitally sign, click the arrow".
Is there someone that might be able to assit me in this request?
         Very Respectfully: Rossknechtt,

Thank you George. I have made a digital signature field.
Is it possible to prove guidance as to how  I Ioad trusted signatures so the signature warning does not come up?  How do I add a date field with a pull down calendar?

  • Digital Signatures - Enterprise

    Hello,
My company owns 55 licenses of Adobe Acrobat Standard for Windows version 9.4.5. I want to be able to have all of my employees digitally sign documents. I figured out the process thanks to online documentation. The cert is self-signed so it comes up with a warning stating the the "signature validity is UNKNOWN". I assume this is due to the self-cert process.
    A couple questions
    1) Is my assessment correct? Would getting a third party certification avoid this popup?
    2) If so, what are the steps I need to do to get a certification from a third party like GoDaddy and allow all of my employees to digitally sign their PDF files?
    Thanks,
    Eric Fleet

Have a look at this it might help you?

  • Dynamic PDFs with Digital Signatures?

    LCD 9 – Acrobat 9 standard/Pro
Looking for the definitive answer on this one.  My PDFs have a need to be both dynamic and use multiple digital signatures.  For now I design as static with multi dig sig and deal with break-out forms and such via a portfolio.
It would be nice if I could design a form that has both flowable sections (think dynamically added rows in a table using script, or even simple textfields that expand as you fill them up via flowed content areas) and these digital signatures.  As soon as I make that PDF dynamic the signatures are immediately invalidated as the form shows changes.
Is there any workaround to this?  Some of the process I have to design for need flowed fields, and all require digital signatures on the form.  We use Entrust as the security for dig sig - and that will not change so cannot use any inherent Adobe signature security methods.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi Jim,
Yes, the file was created for Acrobat 10, but other than the warning you see on file open it will behave the same way in 9.x as it does in 10. However that said, you don't want to look at the file in Acrobat because you can't edit it or see the layout there. You need to view the file in LiveCycle Designer which gets installed along with Acrobat, and when you do get the file open in Designer it won't complain. Once you get the file open in Acrobat select the Forms > Edit Form in Designer menu item and that's where you can see the properties used to get page flow to work.
I've attached another copy without any data that won't complain when you open it in Acrobat. It is for all intents and purposes the same file, the only reason there are fewer pages is due to the lack of data in the table.

  • Digital Signature Authentication

We have developed a form that requires multiple digital signatures. With each signature, it is forwarded on to the next manager via a submit button and the form attaches to a new email. Last week I updated the form and added a new person's email address to the drop-down menu along with their email address. I extended the rights for users and it seemed to be working beautifully. However, as of late yesterday users were getting a message stating they could not sign and some previous signatures had the ? mark as those signatures could not be authenticated. HELP! I don't know if its a problem with the digital signature or I did or didn't do something??

    Hi Sandi,
First up, I highly doubt that this is related to the validity of the Reader Extension credential, nor is that something you even need to worry about.
If one of the signatures is in an unknown state (the question mark icon) then there is a prompt to warn the next signer that they are signing a file with signature problems, but it doesn't prevent signing from occurring. Let's get some background information to help figure this out.
First up, do you know what application is being used (e.g. Acrobat or Adobe Reader)? Next, what is the version of the application? Finally, this message that users are getting, can you tell me what it says verbatim?
    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Digital Signatures- either disable reader abilities or  any other work around

I am fairly new to acrobat
I have designed a form that uses a JavaScript that looks at individual fields to verify if the information is good. I also require two signatures along with these correctly entered fields before I consider the form "good to go"
(If the form is missing something, my form validation JavaScript will population the value of a text box with the list of which fields are bad.  The warning goes away when everything is good)
I can’t find the correct property in JavaScript that reference if the digital signature field is signed or not, so I put in the signed event JavaScript that locks the field when signed.
In my form validation script, I check to see if that digital signature field is locked- if so- then they must have signed it.
Here is where I am running into trouble:
After rights are extended to reader (my users will use reader to fill out this pdf)
It’s possible for the user to sign it, (locking the field) and then clear the digital signature (but the locked field tells my validation script its “okay”)
Locking the field does not stop someone from clearing it, which is not good.
Also, someone using reader can add a digital signature on top of where I want them to sign it- and my validation script doesn’t know about this, so it won’t remove the warning if they add their own signature.
    How do I:
((Find the javascript property to know if a particular digital signature field is signed.)
    OR
(Find a way to not allow the user to clear their signed signature))
    AND
(Stop the user from adding their own digital signature field to the form?)
    Thank you.

    One last try.
You help would really be welcome in finding out the root cause of the difference in behaviour between reader 8 and 9 in this matter (bug or change).
I have no idea what documentation to read (since i've read the launch documentation and change list documentation) about reader 9, i've contacted Adobe 3 days ago (and the answer is silence, like usuall) and have no clear thought about what to say (without taking a huge risk by giving a uninformed answer) about this issue.
    Thanks.

  • Problems with digital signatures (adobe reader)

I am a Government contractor that develops documents for my customer.  We are in the process of ascertaining the viability of digital signatures. I have developed a signature form with Adobe Pro 9.0.
I have several issues. When someone digitally signs the document with their Common Acess Card (CAC), the warning appears "At least one signature has problems. Please fill out the form. If you are the form author, choose distribute form in the forms menu to send it to your recipients."
I tried using several options using the distribute section, and I am unable to make this part work. I truly need assistance with doing this correctly.  I require that the signatures to be processed in sequence (#1, #2, #3, and then the approval signature).  I did not comprehend that option in the distribute form section.
However, the recipients that use Adobe Acrobat Pro are able to sign the document when submitted to them (however, the prviously stated warning appears). If they use Adobe Reader, they are not able to sign the document.
         Please help.
Is there anyone that can assist with the signature feature of Adobe Pro?
         I would appreciate any suggestion/guidance.
One area that I don't understand is the feature where i 0send the form out for signature.
