POSDM Customer Enhancements into BW

Hi Gurus,
We have some customer enhancement fields in POSDM which are not available in the SAP delivered Datasource 0RT_PA_TRAN_CONTROL. Because this data source is with in the BW and I donot know how to enhance the Data source.
As per my understanding source for most of the data to this data source is from table /posdw/TLOGS. but i could n't find those enhanced fields in that table.
If any one have worked in this area can you please help??

that depends on what you want to do with the same ? if you just want to display the same - extract the same into BI as a nav attr of the customer master

How can i add Custom fields into the Infotype Screen(PA30),i heard that we do it by PM01 Tcode.
But in PM01 i am unable to find the enhance infotype tab.
How can i do it ....pls help.....

Do it thru the third tab : Single Screen.
There write down the infotype number (e.g. 0022) and say generate objects.

Custom Enhancement for IT207

Hello Gurus!
This is my first post so bear with me. I am trying to update IT207 for Maryland (MD) counties using a custom enhancement in HRPAD00INFTYDB. This is called when an employee changes the MD county in their Permanent Address in ESS. I've done the same thing for IT210 using FM HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE with success, but when I use the same FM to update IT207 I get an error.

An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
     The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not
      caught in
procedure "ADD_MESSAGES" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
     Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
     exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
     The reason for the exception is:
     You attempted to use a 'NULL' object reference (points to 'nothing')
     access a component.
     An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
     before it can be used to access components.
     Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the
     CLEAR statement.
The program reads IT207 using FM HR_ECM_READ_INFOTYPE, loops at lt_p0207, updates the begda and taxar (Residence Tax Area), then runs FM HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE to create the new record. This produces a dump (details above). The message that is being added is from message class PG, 204, and is only a warning.
If I only update the taxar (not the dates) the IT207 record is updated with the incorrect dates.
I am running FMs HR_ECM_INITIALIZE_BUFFER and HR_ECM_ENQUEUE_PERNR prior to reading IT207.
I have done extensive debugging of the enhancement ... I can manually skip the date check and it works fine. After a number of debugging sessions, the update works fine ... but only until I log out and re log in.
Any ideas on how to fix so that ADD_MESSAGES is not called?

My issue has been solved!
I had previously declared the message handler as:
        DATA: lo_msg_handler TYPE REF TO if_hrpa_message_handler.
The enhancement activate ok until a message was passed. I found by changing the message handler to:
        DATA: lo_msg_handler TYPE REF TO CL_HRPA_MESSAGE_LIST.
If I didn't want to output the messages I could have declared it as:
        DATA: lo_msg_handler TYPE REF TO CL_HRPA_DUMMY_MESSAGE_HANDLER.
Next I instantiated the message handler:
       CREATE OBJECT lo_msg_handler.
This was followed by my existing code:
      Initialize buffer
                CALL FUNCTION 'HR_ECM_INITIALIZE_BUFFER'
                  EXPORTING
                    message_handler = lo_msg_handler.
      Enqueue Pernr (fixes context issue)
                CALL FUNCTION 'HR_ECM_ENQUEUE_PERNR'
                  EXPORTING
                    pernr           = <new_p0006>-pernr
                    message_handler = lo_msg_handler
                  IMPORTING
                    is_ok           = lv_is_ok.

IS-RETAIL: How to update custom enhancement field using BAPI?

Hi gurus,
Like ECC BAPI: BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA,
This BAPI(BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT) is specific for IS-RETAIL to create and update material master data.
But now If I append one custom field "ZFIELD" to end of table MARA, my question is how to update this custom enhancement field(ZFIELD) using BAPI(BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT)

Hi DongHai,
I suggest you create your own BAPI. Just copy the codes in BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT and add your custom fields. If you want to append the data of the custom field in table MARA, first, you have to create a structure table then goto SE11, type MARA and display. Click the APPEND STRUCTURE then choose the structure that you've created. Hope this will help.

Importing custom fonts into iPhone apps - HELP?!

Hey guys, new to these forums. Just wondering if somebody could answer a few questions regarding successfully importing and using custom fonts into iPhone applications. As shown here,

some have shown success in doing just that. To those who have done it, what i wanted to simply ask is:
What type of subclass did you put the code in? Mines is a UIView subclass but doesnt work.
What kind of interface and with what controls are you using? I am simply making a UIView with the code in order to test to see if it works and test other properties and customizable functions of the custom fonts. It doesnt work.
What specific property declarations must be in the .h file? I have none and it doesnt work.
Note that when I say it doesnt work, it actually compiles without errors, but when I build and go I just get a blank grey screen.

To use Stanza you need Stanza's desktop client in order to get your books onto the iPhone. Export Custom List into Excel through custom Ribbon

Hi i have a requirement, in that i need to export custom list into EXCEL through custom Ribbon. For Example in my list, i have Col1, Col2, Col3. Col3 has multiple values (allow mutiple values) and when export this into excel all values in Col3 should
come as new rows and rest of the column values should duplicate. please helpout from this requirement.

Hello Nihath,
As per your description, you have to read each and every items in list with column value then only you can generate excel. There is direct way to export datatable to excel but in your case you will also need to iterate Col3 value to create new row in excel.
I would suggest to use CAML query to get all items then check Col3 value. If there are multiple value then add them as new datatable row and finally export full datatable to excel.

How to import Custom idoc into IR?

I have a custom idoc and i need to map it with the receiver format after importing into IR . Please let me know the sequence of steps to import custom idoc into Integration repository?
I think I need to first import into IDX2 and then import into repository. Am I correct?

thanks for the information .The normal standard idocs we import by searching the idoc eg- for importing matmas we type mat and we search it, since it is a standard idoc it will be available in the list (after selecting the chek box "Import of idoc or rfc interfaces from sap system permitted").
But my question is how we import custom idoc as they wont be present in the list?

Want to change customer enhancement tab name in CJ20N

As per our requirement, we have created customer enhancement tab in CJ20N (project definition level).
It shows the name as cust.enhancement, but as per our requirement we want to change the tab name.
But we are not able to change that.

we can do it. but it may need access key. Find out the screen number and program name.
Go to se51 and input the program name and screen number then select Layout ->display.
click on that tab, move change mode then give the text what do you want.

Limitation on Adding custom fields into VBAP (Updating from BAPI )

I have added some custom fields into BAPI structure BAPE_VBAP and corresponding structure to update the custom fields added into VBAP.
in my code i am passing the value bapiparex-valuepart1 = bape_vbap0(240). bapiparex-valuepart1 = bape_vbap240(240),
bapiparex-valuepart1 = bape_vbap480(240) and bapiparex-valuepart1 = bape_vbap720(240)
But, while activation its informing me that more than 441 character length not allowed for the structure. Where the total length should be allowed upto 960.
is there any OSS notes which i can apply to extend the limit for adding more custom fields into VBAP .

The User creation and Assigining roles is done by the same preson and As i have mentioned above i am disabling the Manage_User action,And if i give the responsiblity of assigining roles to an other person then he can also create user (standard functionality) where i cannot add my required features.Thereby leading for inconsistency.Therefore we thought that we will also add this funtionality in Webdynpro application and for the same, we have to provide the search criteria where currently we are able to search the role based on data entry(eg:t* or Ume etc) .But we need to search also based on the DataSource(ie Portal Role ,All DataSource and UME).Please Can you guide me in this.
Also please let me know if we are going in a right approach and also suggest any better approach to achieve the same.

Getting Customer Fields into Backend PO

Hello
We have the extended classic scenario and SRM5.0 (SRM Server 5.50) and in one of the backends the field "Goods recipient" is mandatory.
If I try to order something I allways get the error "Goods recipient" is mandatory. So I have created a customer field "ZZ540WEMPF" and it can be filled in the Web-Interface. But I don't get the customer field into the backend.
I think it should be mapped in the BADI "BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI" but i can't figure out how...
Was anyone able to to this and would like to share his knowledge?

hi,
Pls see the notes 458591 and 672960.Maintain the same field in Backend system in customer includes CI_EKPODB & CI_EKPODBX.
The Backend PO is created by calling the Function B470_PO_CREATE in SRM.Debug this function to see if the field mapping is OK.
If not you may have to map them exclusively and also adjust the BADI structures to accomodate the new fields.The BADI is BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI.

I have a custom enhancement implementation.Though the Enhancement is active the code associated with the enhancement is not getting executed.
Should the the Enhancement implementation necessarily be assigned to a switch for it to get executed.Please clarify.

Hi Roopa,
All the standard SAP Enhancements are seen in SMOD. Here we will be viewing all the components for the particular packages.
After picking up the correct one that suits to our requirement we will go to CMOD, and create a ZXXX customer project there. After that you will be importing the particular exit and click on the components tab respectively.
For knowing that whether your enhancement is active or not you will be clicking on the function module exits and insert a break point over there. Inside the function module exits there will be includes. In that includes you will writing your code.
For Ex: EXIT_SAPMM06E_006 in that include write break username , by this that particular exit gets triggered for your ID only. Similarly you will be ruuning your transaction by giving some input details, so by this you will be checking for the exits.
In the same way for BADI's also to find a exact BADI you will be creating an implementation on the interface tab there you will be finding number of methods. Inside the methods you will putting a break point and activate them.
Then you will run your transaction.

Cannot open projects or import custom skins into RH*

Hi,
I just got a new laptop and I'm unable to open ANY projects or import custom skins into RH8. I was on 8 previously, but I cannot open my projects nor can I import skins. I click on Skins>import>choose the skin, then nothing. It's like it's not even recognizing I'm doing anything. Any suggestions?

If you can't open a project, how are you getting to the File > Import > Skin menu item? Also can you give us some additional information about the laptop (e.g. the OS).

Once column is for assignment and another one is for Resource.
Assignment means when you crate a task then assign that task to resource then task become assignment.
when you will create report in for Resource_skill_resource you will be able to group by or filter resource as per their skill.
As far as Resource_Skill_R_Assignment is concerned you can group by or filter assignment for resource as per their skill

Resource Non Timephased and Resource Timephased OLAP cubes contain resource data. These two OLAP cubes do not contain any Total fields in common, but do contain several Dimensions in common (such as Booking Type and Resource List).
Assignment: The
Assignment Non Timephased, Assignment Timephased, MSP
Portfolio Analyzer, and MSP
Project Timesheet OLAP cubes contain assignment data. Each of these OLAP cubes includes many
of the same Total Fields (such as Actual Cost, Actual Overtime Cost, Actual Work, and Actual Overtime Work) and many of the same Dimensions (such as Assignment Owner and Project List)
