POSDM Implementation and  Configuration

Hi,
any 1 aware of configuration / implementation of POSDM . It is a part of BI . Can be accessed through /POSDW/IMG .
Any body aware of POS - PI - POSDM integration . ?
Is this the right formum to discuss?

There are many guides in service.sap.com which specifically tells you how to configure  basically all authorization has to be done in backend while authentication in portal basically i am putting in problem solving guides for reference  you must be aware ESS is available for java  and webdynpro  version  so first it has to be selected.
Backend cofiguration has to be done with authorization and then business packages has to be imported in portal
which will be in migrated content  of PCD with a role that has all worksets and pages containing iviews.
hope this will help you.please do not forget to give points

  • Implementation & initial configuration of  SolMan 4.0

    Hello ALL,
I am new to Solution Manager. I know the functionalities and the basic steps like defining the project, system landscape, assigning team members etc.
I have been asked to help with implementation and initial configuration of SAP's Solution Manager 4.0
we are doing a brand new implementation, making this requirement mandatory.  I need assistance in determining what SM4 can do for us in our particular circumstances and guidance in configuration of communication between systems.  I need  guidance in establishing the communication between each of the systems and SM, determining appropriate thresholds for warning, development of automatic notification of problems (email, or perhaps even auto pages). We will also want to evaluate the pros and cons of using solution manager for change management.
Our R/3 system is at WAS 6.20 and running on MS SQL Server 2005.  Solution Manager will be installed on it's own dedicated server, which we have built and loaded with the OS.  We have Solution Manager 4 DVDs and the prerequisite WAS 6.40, Netweaver 2004s disks.  We currently have development, QAS and production R/3, ESS Portal and Business Warehouse (BI).  we also have a standby production server.  All will need to be monitored using Solution Manager 4.
Can anyone help me how to go about with initial implementation and configuration. Appreciate your answers.
    Thanks
    Vom

    Hello Vom,
For me the better information source for a beginner is service.sap.com/rkt-solman, there is very good iTutor under the 4 different user roles that will help you with satellites connection configurations, use of the different scenarios of solman.
For configuring the selected escenarios the best is in SOLMAN->spro read the step documentation.
Also alias solutionmanager->Media Library->Documentation and Technical papers will give you more extra information.
    Best regards,

  • Install and configure Tomcat post-Crystal Reports Server implementation?

Scenario - have Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 already installed using WACS and IIS. Everything runs great.  Want to add in SAP Crystal Dashboard Design. Looking through the documentation for Dashboard Design tells me I need to:
    1. Install SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise or Crystal Reports Server.
    2. Install SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius Enterprise 2008.
    3. Install Live Office.
    4. Install SAP BusinessObjects Web Services.
    5. Add the Live Office keycode to the Central Management Console
Made it past 3 and am hung up on 4. According to documentation for Unified Web Services, it looks like I need Tomcat  installed, but Crystal Reports Server doesn't offer an expand installation option.  There also doesn't seem to be any good documentation included with SAP Crystal Dashboard Design on installing web services - if it's required, why isn't it included and where can I find the documentation (assuming it's different than the Unified Web Services Administrator's Guide I found).
It seems odd that a customer who might want to purchase an add-on for their Crystal Reports Server implementation wouldn't be able to easily add to their product..
    1)  Can I install web services to Crystal Reports Server using just the WACS or is Tomcat required? The admin guide indicates WACS is not supported for apps that use web services, like Live Office. Is that an absolute?
    2)  If Tomcat is required, can I install and configure it for an existing Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 implementation?
    3)  If i can install Tomcat on a server with an existing Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 implementation, is there a specific guide to doing so?

    Hi Colin,
What is the exact version of BO/Crystal Enterprise.
If it is BOXI R2 then follow below mentioned steps.
To manually install the ActiveX Viewer on the client computer:
    1. Copy the ActiveXViewer.cab file from the server to the client computer, and extract its contents to a temporary folder.
    2. Move the files Crviewer.dll, Crviewer9.dll, Sviewhlp.dll, and Swebrs.dll to the System32 folder. Keep this folder visible.
    3. On the Start menu, click Run. The Run dialog box appears.
    4. In the Open box, type "regsvr32" and then drag and drop the Crviewer.dll file icon from the System32 folder onto the Run dialog box.
    5 Click OK.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the files Sviewhlp.dll, and Swebrs.dll.
You may still be prompted by the browser, choose more options and never install to avoid being prompted.  The viewer should work after that.
    Thanks,
    Purna.

  • CONCURRENT MANAGER SETUP AND CONFIGURATION REQUIREMENTS IN AN 11I RAC ENVIR

    제품 : AOL
    작성날짜 : 2004-05-13
    PURPOSE
RAC-PCP 구성에 대한 Setup 사항을 기술한 문서입니다.
PCP 구현은 CM의 workload 분산, Failover등을 목적으로 합니다.
    Explanation
Failure sceniro 는 다음 3가지로 구분해 볼수 있습니다.
    1. The database instance that supports the CP, Applications, and Middle-Tier
processes such as Forms, or iAS can fail.
    2. The Database node server that supports the CP, Applications, and Middle-
Tier processes such as Forms, or iAS can fail.
    3. The Applications/Middle-Tier server that supports the CP (and Applications)
    base can fail.
    아래부분은 CM,AP 구성과
CM과 GSM(Global Service Management)과의 관계를 설명하고 있습니다.
The concurrent processing tier can reside on either the Applications, Middle-
Tier, or Database Tier nodes. In a single tier configuration, non PCP
environment, a node failure will impact Concurrent Processing operations do to
any of these failure conditions. In a multi-node configuration the impact of
any these types of failures will be dependent upon what type of failure is
experienced, and how concurrent processing is distributed among the nodes in
the configuration. Parallel Concurrent Processing provides seamless failover
for a Concurrent Processing environment in the event that any of these types of
    failures takes place.
In an Applications environment where the database tier utilizes Listener (
server) load balancing is implemented, and in a non-load balanced environment,
there are changes that must be made to the default configuration generated by
Autoconfig so that CP initialization, processing, and PCP functionality are
initiated properly on their respective/assigned nodes. These changes are
described in the next section - Concurrent Manager Setup and Configuration
Requirements in an 11i RAC Environment.
The current Concurrent Processing architecture with Global Service Management
consists of the following processes and communication model, where each process
is responsible for performing a specific set of routines and communicating with
    parent and dependent processes.
아래 내용은 PCP환경에서 ICM, FNDSM, IM, Standard Manager의 역활을 설명하고
    있습니다.
Internal Concurrent Manager (FNDLIBR process) - Communicates with the Service
    Manager.
The Internal Concurrent Manager (ICM) starts, sets the number of active
processes, monitors, and terminates all other concurrent processes through
requests made to the Service Manager, including restarting any failed processes.
The ICM also starts and stops, and restarts the Service Manager for each node.
The ICM will perform process migration during an instance or node failure.
    The ICM will be
active on a single node. This is also true in a PCP environment, where the ICM
will be active on at least one node at all times.
Service Manager (FNDSM process) - Communicates with the Internal Concurrent
Manager, Concurrent Manager, and non-Manager Service processes.
The Service Manager (SM) spawns, and terminates manager and service processes (
these could be Forms, or Apache Listeners, Metrics or Reports Server, and any
other process controlled through Generic Service Management). When the ICM
    terminates the SM that
resides on the same node with the ICM will also terminate. The SM is ?hained?
to the ICM. The SM will only reinitialize after termination when there is a
function it needs to perform (start, or stop a process), so there may be
periods of time when the SM is not active, and this would be normal. All
    processes initialized by the SM
inherit the same environment as the SM. The SM environment is set by APPSORA.
env file, and the gsmstart.sh script. The TWO_TASK used by the SM to connect
to a RAC instance must match the instance_name from GV$INSTANCE. The apps_<sid>
listener must be active on each CP node to support the SM connection to the
    local instance. There
should be a Service Manager active on each node where a Concurrent or non-
    Manager service process will reside.
Internal Monitor (FNDIMON process) - Communicates with the Internal Concurrent
    Manager.
The Internal Monitor (IM) monitors the Internal Concurrent Manager, and
restarts any failed ICM on the local node. During a node failure in a PCP
environment the IM will restart the ICM on a surviving node (multiple ICM's may
be started on multiple nodes, but only the first ICM started will eventually
remain active, all others will gracefully terminate). There should be an
Internal Monitor defined on each node
    where the ICM may migrate.
Standard Manager (FNDLIBR process) - Communicates with the Service Manager and
    any client application process.
The Standard Manager is a worker process, that initiates, and executes client
requests on behalf of Applications batch, and OLTP clients.
Transaction Manager - Communicates with the Service Manager, and any user
process initiated on behalf of a Forms, or Standard Manager request. See Note:
240818.1 regarding Transaction Manager communication and setup requirements for
    RAC.
Concurrent Manager Setup and Configuration Requirements in an 11i RAC
    Environment
PCP를 사용하기위한 기본적인 Setup 절차를 설명하고 있습니다.
In order to set up Setup Parallel Concurrent Processing Using AutoConfig with
    GSM,
follow the instructions in the 11.5.8 Oracle Applications System Administrators
    Guide
under Implementing Parallel Concurrent Processing using the following steps:
    1. Applications 11.5.8 and higher is configured to use GSM. Verify the
configuration on each node (see WebIV Note:165041.1).
    2. On each cluster node edit the Applications Context file (<SID>.xml), that
resides in APPL_TOP/admin, to set the variable <APPLDCP oa_var="s_appldcp">
ON </APPLDCP>. It is normally set to OFF. This change should be performed
    using the Context Editor.
    3. Prior to regenerating the configuration, copy the existing tnsnames.ora,
listener.ora and sqlnet.ora files, where they exist, under the 8.0.6 and iAS
ORACLE_HOME locations on the each node to preserve the files (i.e./<some_
    directory>/<SID>ora/$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/<SID>/tnsnames.ora). If any of
the Applications startup scripts that reside in COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts/<SID>
have been modified also copy these to preserve the files.
    4. Regenerate the configuration by running adautocfg.sh on each cluster node as
    outlined in Note:165195.1.
    5. After regenerating the configuration merge any changes back into the
tnsnames.ora, listener.ora and sqlnet.ora files in the network directories,
and the startup scripts in the COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts/<SID> directory.
Each nodes tnsnames.ora file must contain the aliases that exist on all
other nodes in the cluster. When merging tnsnames.ora files ensure that each
node contains all other nodes tnsnames.ora entries. This includes tns
entries for any Applications tier nodes where a concurrent request could be
initiated, or request output to be viewed.
    6. In the tnsnames.ora file of each Concurrent Processing node ensure that
there is an alias that matches the instance name from GV$INSTANCE of each
Oracle instance on each RAC node in the cluster. This is required in order
for the SM to establish connectivity to the local node during startup. The
entry for the local node will be the entry that is used for the TWO_TASK in
APPSORA.env (also in the APPS<SID>_<HOSTNAME>.env file referenced in the
    Applications Listener [APPS_<SID>] listener.ora file entry "envs='MYAPPSORA=<
    some directory>/APPS<SID>_<HOSTNAME>.env)
on each node in the cluster (this is modified in step 12).
    7. Verify that the FNDSM_<SID> entry has been added to the listener.ora file
under the 8.0.6 ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/<SID> directory. See WebiV Note:
165041.1 for instructions regarding configuring this entry. NOTE: With the
implementation of GSM the 8.0.6 Applications, and 9.2.0 Database listeners
must be active on all PCP nodes in the cluster during normal operations.
    8. AutoConfig will update the database profiles and reset them for the node
from which it was last run. If necessary reset the database profiles back to
    their original settings.
    9. Ensure that the Applications Listener is active on each node in the cluster
where Concurrent, or Service processes will execute. On each node start the
database and Forms Server processes as required by the configuration that
    has been implemented.
    10. Navigate to Install > Nodes and ensure that each node is registered. Use
the node name as it appears when executing a nodename?from the Unix prompt on
the server. GSM will add the appropriate services for each node at startup.
    11. Navigate to Concurrent > Manager > Define, and set up the primary and
secondary node names for all the concurrent managers according to the
desired configuration for each node workload. The Internal Concurrent
Manager should be defined on the primary PCP node only. When defining the
Internal Monitor for the secondary (target) node(s), make the primary node (
local node) assignment, and assign a secondary node designation to the
Internal Monitor, also assign a standard work shift with one process.
    12. Prior to starting the Manager processes it is necessary to edit the APPSORA.
env file on each node in order to specify a TWO_TASK entry that contains
the INSTANCE_NAME parameter for the local nodes Oracle instance, in order
to bind each Manager to the local instance. This should be done regardless
of whether Listener load balancing is configured, as it will ensure the
configuration conforms to the required standards of having the TWO_TASK set
to the instance name of each node as specified in GV$INSTANCE. Start the
Concurrent Processes on their primary node(s). This is the environment
that the Service Manager passes on to each process that it initializes on
behalf of the Internal Concurrent Manager. Also make the same update to
the file referenced by the Applications Listener APPS_<SID> in the
    listener.ora entry "envs='MYAPPSORA= <some directory>/APPS<SID>_<HOSTNAME>.
    env" on each node.
    13. Navigate to Concurrent > Manager > Administer and verify that the Service
Manager and Internal Monitor are activated on the secondary node, and any
other addititional nodes in the cluster. The Internal Monitor should not be
active on the primary cluster node.
    14. Stop and restart the Concurrent Manager processes on their primary node(s),
and verify that the managers are starting on their appropriate nodes. On
the target (secondary) node in addition to any defined managers you will
see an FNDSM process (the Service Manager), along with the FNDIMON process (
    Internal Monitor).

What is your database version? OS?
We are using VCP suite for Planning Purpose. We are using VCP environment (12.1.3) in Decentralized structure connecting to 3 differect source environment ( consisting 11i and R12). As per the Oracle Note {RAC Configuration Setup For Running MRP Planning, APS Planning, and Data Collection Processes [ID 279156]} we have implemented RAC in our test environment to get better performance.
But after doing all the setups and concurrent programs assignment to different nodes, we are seeing huge performance issue. The Complete Collection which takes generally on an avg 180 mins in Production, is taking more than 6 hours to complete in RAC.
So I would like to get suggestion from this forum, if anyone has implemented RAC in pure VCP (decentralized) environment ? Will there be any improvement if we make our VCP Instance in RAC ?Do you PCP enabled? Can you reproduce the issue when you stop the CM?

    NetFlow is also supported by these devices Cisco 800, 1700, 1800, 2800, 3800, 6500, 7300, 7600, 10000, CRS-1 and these Catalyst series switches: 45xx, 55xx, 6xxx.
NetFlow export is also supported on other Cisco switches when using a NetFlow Feature Card (NFFC) or NFFC II and the Route Switch Module (RSM), or Route Switch Feature Card (RSFC). However, check whether version 5 is supported, as most switches export version 7 by default.
You can check the below steps to diagnose the issue::
To verify that NetFlow is exported from a device to PI, follow the steps below:
    1)    Browse to Administration > Data Sources page. Check the value in column ‘Last Active Time’  for the ‘Device Data Sources’ table. If the table is empty or  the value does not represent recent time, then
it is possible that the device is not exporting NetFlow or PI Assurance license is not applied / expired.
    2)    Login to PI console ( via SSH) as root user and run the command:
                    netstat –an | grep 9991 – Output of this should be like :  udp        0      0 :::9991         :::*
Check the firewall settings on PI server using the command: firewall -L
    1)    Check the configuration on an IOS / IOS –XE device. Run the commands
    a)    sh running-config | inc destination
    1)    This should list the IP address of the PI SERVER ( along with other outputs if any)
    b)    sh running-config | inc 9991
    1)    This should list at least one entry.
    c)    If the above are fine, then verify that the flow monitor, flow exporter and the flow records are correctly configured on the device.
Refer to the URLs below to configure NetFlow export.

  • New to Business Intelligence - Installation and Configuration

Reading all the documents associated with OBIEE, OBIA, DAC server, DAC client, and Informatica Powercenter has my head swimming (drowning). Can someone throw me a rope?
I'm going through an eBS implementation with 11g DB and 12.0.6 eBS (all on Linux) and I have been required to install and configure all the above. In a DEV environment, I have OBIEE running on a vm Windows 2003 server and need to install OBIA and IPC. According to the IPC doc's this requires 7 pc's/servers. Can someone provide a sample (functioning) environment?
    Thanks.

I have three servers for my setup and an EBS data source server:
    DB/OBIEE Server: Oracle Linux 5
-Oracle DB 10G: holds OBAW & Informatica/DAC Repositories
    -Has OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 & OBI Apps 7.9.6

    krishna

    Hi,
You Do not need to Provide any JAVA Code For the same.
SAP Provides Standard Modeules to DO so.
    Use the PaYLoadZipBean module.
Have a look at the SAP help link:
just a Few Points to remember:
    1. Place this  Before the call to Standard SAP module in case you want to Unzip the payload in the Sender Side
    2. Place it after the SAP Standard module in the receiver side.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to integrate and configure SMS API CC&B

    Hi All,
Can you just guide me how to integrate and configure SMS API in CC&B.as per my knowledge sending email from ccb is possible but i was not able to find how SMS application can be implemented in CC&B.it very vital in my project to send SMS alert from CC&B to end users and also let me know can we customise and configure third party vendor SMS API in CC&B which was developed in various technologies or we have to develop our own SMS API for application
    Thanks,

There is no built in application for SMS in CCB you need a third party application.
One of our partner company has a readymade add on module with complete GUI interface for CCB, this application allows you to define rules and conditions using standard select statements to filter receipent for SMS. This application can work with any service provider all you need is a SMS gateway. If you do not have a SMS gateway the same can be provided in certain countries.

  • How to extract data via webservices and configure webservices in BI 7

    Hi to all,
Can any body tell me How to extract data via webservices and configure webservices in BI 7.
i have created a remote functionmodule which extract data from R/3 , now i want to upload data to BI 7 using that remote function module.
i have use webservice (push) as adapter mode, as i want to connect function module with SOAP , via web services.
please can any body tell how to do that.
also how to configure the webserive , what is it .
I SHALL BE THANKFULL TO YOU FOR THAT
    Regards

    Hi,
    1. Using the function library (transaction SE37), call the Web service creation wizard.
To do this, select the desired function module in the function library and choose Utilities ®Generate Web Service ® From the Function Module.
    2. Go through the following steps, shown in the wizard:
    a. Create a virtual interface.
The virtual interface represents the interface between the Web Service and the outside.
    b. Choose the end point.
The name of the function module that is to be offered as Web service is already entered here.
    c. Create the Web service definition.
The Web service definition helps with assigning the Web service features, such as how security can be guaranteed in data transfer.
    d. Release the Web service.
The wizard generates the object virtual interface and Web service definition in the object navigator.
The function group that was generated when the XML DataSource was created is not transportable and is thus assigned to a local package. To prevent errors due to transports, make sure that the objects that were generated in the Web service creation wizard are assigned to a local non-transportable package.
The Web service is released for the SOAP runtime.
    3. In the virtual interface for the import parameter DATASOURCE, define the name of the XML DataSource as the fixed value.
A separate function group is generated for each XML DataSource. It makes sense to pre-assign the parameter DATASOURCE with the name of the XML DataSource in the virtual interface of the Web service for which the function group was generated.
If you do not pre-assign the parameter, it will be necessary to transfer the data sent with the appropriate filled DataSource element, for example, by setting the value in the application that implements the Web service.
    a. In the object navigator, choose the name of the package in which the Web service was created and choose Enterprise Services ® Web Service Library ® Virtual Interfaces.
    b. Choose Change in the context menu for the virtual interface.
    c. For the virtual interface, remove the flags exposed and initial and enter the name of the XML DataSource in apostrophes, for example u20196ADATASOURCENAMEu2019.
    d. Activate the virtual interface.
    Regards,
    Marasa.

  • How to create and configure proxies in ADF mobile using OWSM client agent?

    Hi
Can anyone please tell me how to create and configure proxies in ADF mobile application using Oracle Web Services Manager (OWSM) Lite Mobile ADF Application Agent. I read it in mobile document that,
For secured web services, the user credentials are dynamically injected using ADF Mobile uses Oracle Web Services Manager (OWSM) Lite Mobile ADF Application Agent to create and configure proxies, as well as to request services through the proxies. The user credentials are injected into the OWSM enforcement context when proxies are configured.
I am new with this OWSM, can anyone please give me some hints like how to proceed further for implementing authentication using OWSM lite mobile ADF Application Agent??
    Thanks in advance
    Raj

    Hi Juan
The demo is very useful, and in that Shay describes about the remote login using a regular ADF webapplication as a secured one and deploying it into the server. But I would like to know how to create a local login using OWSM client agent? .
Without creating a regular ADF webapplication, how can i call secured webservices(i.e., by using OWSM client agent how to create and configure proxies to call secured webservice, where the user credentials are injected into webservice request by OWSM client as mentioned in ADF mobile document)??

  • How to create and configure JMSConnection Factory programatically?

    Guys,
How to create and configure JMSConnection Factory programatically and (<b>NOT THRU CONSOLE</b>)?
There is an option using the JMSHepler to create the Queues.
Is there an option to create ConnectionFactories using the same or other classes?
              anshuk

There are no 8.1 "JMSHelper" extensions for creating conection factories (they've been added for 9.0). Instead, you can use a variety of more generic methods.
You can create configuration scripts using WLST or wlconfig or wlshell, or make direct calls from java into WebLogic's public JMX mbean APIs (all config tools, including the console, call into these APIs).
For a JMX example, see the implementation of the "JMSML" utility on dev2dev.bea.com. For WLST examples search for "+WLST +JMS".

  • Oracle Change and Configuration Management packs

    Hi,
We are looking at implementing the Oracle Change and Configuration Management packs.
I would be very interested to hear from anybosy who is currently using these packs.
I have done some preliminary tests, and am getting what seems like a very simple error, but i am at a loss as to how to fix it.
Will respond to replies with exact error and scenario.
    thanks in advance.
    melvyn

    Hi Nayab,
We are looking to implement the change and configuration management packs, to automate our change control.
As part of my initial testing i have the following scenario...
I have three database (namely TEST_DB, QA_DB and PROD_DB) all configured and manageable in EM.
I have create a sample test schema in TEST_DB with tables, views, sequences, procedures and triggers.
Using EM, i am able to transfer the sample schema (with all objects) from the TEST_DB to the PROD_DB.
If i manually create the sample schema in the QA_DB, i am able to transfer the sample schema from the QA_DB to the PROD_DBm using EM.
When i try to transfer the sample schema from the TEST_DB to the QA_DB i get an error in the synchronization phase.
The capturing of the baseline, and the dictionary comparison phase complete successfully, but when i do the synchronization phase, i get
    the follwing error...
    SQL> ERROR:
    ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
SVR4 Error: 2: No such file or directory
    Process ID: 0
Session ID: 0 Serial number: 0
This seems strange because, it must have been able to see the destination database for it to complete the dictionary comparison phase, so
i cannot understand now why it cannot connect to the destination database to complete the synchronization phase.
any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks
    Melvyn

  • Integration Services 2012 - Parameters and configuration management

Our organization has implemented the project deployment model and it works great!  It helps has helped us standardize deployment and configuration management.  The big plus for us is the fact that we can now run reports on all SSIS
package configurations.  There is one challenge though that we have come across.  We haven’t found a good way to reuse the same ssis package while passing different parameters from different jobs and still be able to keep the configured parameter
values for each job documented in SSIDB; if you configure each job to pass different parameter values to the same package, the parameters are actually saved under the the job step’s command.  The challenge is that there isn’t a clean way to retrieve
those parameters from msdb, unless someone out there has been able to?  We need to retrieve the configured values to be able to build a report on all jobs and packages which contain all configured values.  This makes our jobs easier when troubleshooting
    a problem.
The only work around we have found is to simply create two different packages, one for each job.  I have a problem with not being able to reuse a package from a conceptual stand point.  I am sure there is someone out there that has come up with a
good solution.  Can you please share it?
    thank you,
    Juan.

If I understand you correctly, you may be able to get what you want from catalog.execution_parameter_values catalog view
