Positioning all wrong

Hi if you go to www.taxicredit.ie/index1.html you will see
that the layers in the pages are not positioned right although they
are in dreamweaver. If i position them off centre in dreamweaver
they will be correct for viewing in the web but not for all
settings. How can i position these content layers in dreamweaver so
they will be positioned correct in the web.

In addition to what Ken said, take a look at your site in
FireFox and
enlarge the text (ctrl+ +).
The page breaks apart as the text overflows out of the AP
Divs, overlaps
other text and becomes illegible.
That's one of the biggest problems when trying to use AP Divs
(also known as
"Layers" in older versions of DW) to layout a site.

AP Divs should only be used for some specific purposes.
You should use divs and CSS to control position using normal
page flow,
margins, padding, floats and so on to keep your page from
"exploding" in
people's browsers where the text size is different than in
your browser.

Colors in Photoshop all wrong but OK in other apps. (For example "Whites appear yellow.")

Q: The colors in Photoshop are all wrong. They have a neon look or are discolored with a blue, red, green or Yellow cast. I look at the same pictures in other applications and they look just fine. How do I fix this?
A: Recalibrate your monitor using Adobe Gamma (OS9) or the Displays Control in System Preferences (OSX). Photoshop uses your monitor profile to display your images other apps don't. Be sure you start the recalibration using a fresh monitor profile (sRGB or the profile that came with your monitor for example). If you try to recalibrate using the old corrupt profile you will still have a corrupt monitor profile and your color will still be bad. Also, if you are using OS 9 make sure you are using ColorSync 3.0.4. The 3.0.4 patch is available on the Apple web site.

Thanks. But it looks like in all my frustration, I wasn't sure my original call for help had posted, so must have submitted the same question again.
But I just had a new thought on the problem. While reviewing a story I received from another website, I noticed that the photos attached to the article looked a lot like what I described in my message. It made me wonder if I have a software problem at all . . . or if it's the screen on my Mac that needs recalibration!
It only took 2 minutes to find a website that discussed it — with sample screens to help determine if that was what I'm dealing with. Since a screen supposedly showing a mix of numbered, grey boxes looked totally white to me and I could only see the white numbers on a screen that supposedly contained boxes in varying shades of black, I think I might be on the right track. Just not sure, since I had to reach the bottom of the page before spotting the pitch for a product that supposedly will recalibrate for me. I'm not sure I want to tackle recalibration on my own, but may call the Mac Geniuses at our local mall and see if my hunch is right . . .and if so, what they would charge to do it for me.
BTW, if it sounds like a calibration problem, do you think moving my computer from one desk top another (just 5 feet away) could have caused it? I'm not sure, since it wasn't on my mind at the time, but I think that's roughly when I first started to notice discrepancies in color.

HUGE VIDEO PROBLEM! The colors are all wrong! Quicktime Gamma Bug!

I'm on a Mac, and there is a huge problem with video. When you view or playback videos, the color is all wrong! It's desaturated and faded. If you import your videos into premiere or playback through vlc, then everything looks correct. If you play them back or edit them in lightroom, the colors are all wrong.

Ok, but we'll need more details.
Your OS version, how you calibrate your monitor, whether you see the same playing through Quicktime standalone on your Mac, what camera the videos came from, whether they've been edited in other software, etc.
This is a beta so there will be bugs - that information could help narrow down and fix issues such as these.

IPad shared library view all wrong..help

I have added several TV shows to my itunes library. Each show has the correct metadata (artwork, season, date, episode 3, etc).
Don't worry this is all done legally via my "The Tube" software & digital TV tuner.
Question & issue
When I access my shared library (videos-->shared-->TV shows)
The list is not at all organised like it is on the Apple TV 2.
I understand they are two different products.
The only way I can locate a show is via the artwork? No names unless I click the artwork.
Some TV show are listed mutiple times.
Some TV shows are not listed at all?
Is there not a way to search for a TV show that is in my iTunes library via my ipad and view it on my ipad?
This is very frustraging as some appear (mutiple times) and some don't.
Everything have been properly encoded to play on all devices.

Why is my layout all wrong until I log into my site?

I have just upgraded from v3 to v4 of Firefox. Myself and other members are now having issues with the site layout.
If you use Firefox 4 and visit this site http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/forum.php you should see the layout all wrong.... If you look in other browsers you will see what I mean.
Firefox 3 worked OK

Some of the elements have top and bottom padding in Firefox that they do not have in IE. There is a style rule that Firefox is applying to the forum rows that IE is not. The reason for the discrepancy is not obvious to me.

K9n2 bios reading my cpu temps all wrong

K9n2 bios reading my cpu temps all wrong well actuly it not reading them at all my cpu AMD x2 5200 is said to be ideling at 26c but when i run a stress testor it stay at 26c so no change what so ever between load anf idle temps.
my cou core temps are wrong any way and all wasy have been core 0 idle at -2c and core 1 -22c but they have goe up to core 1 26c and core 2 8c load so its obviously geting hotter but the motherboard isant repoting that it is :/ i have used manny difforent programs and all came back with 26-27c for the cpu no mater what i do i have bios 3.3.
this never haped on my old ABIT kn9 sli it allways stated the corect cpu heat
ohh and also speed fan carnt recogise the cpu it just says temp 1,2,3 for the motherboard where as befor it was cpu,core,chip and so on (that was with old board)
any sugestions

well my cpu is back in my old motherboard with no problems at all no hard crashes and with the same ram timings the proper ram volts 2.1(msi board couldent handle 2.1v for ram) and the board only reports 26c no other temp used all temp programs and non of them changed when fully stresed only core temp showed any temp change but cart go buy that because my cores are so far off now on my old bard the temps go up and down like they should.
i did clear the CMOS whith all unpluged
all were at stock but ram voltage went to 1.8v so upped it to 2.1v (manual recomended) (wouldent start)
at stock if i restarted pc for somthing like an update it wouldent post unless it was un pluged at pluged back in (at stock)
and i have had no such problems with my old ASROCK board or my board im on now a ABIT kn9 570a sli
ohh and the board came warped but the rear ports
any way decided to go over to intel so got a EVGA board now and using a old p4 extream
sorry to sound pissed of but 2 boards that were useless (each was from difforent Etailor)
and windows was a fresh instal

ITunes store display all wrong!!!! any help please?

since the latest upgrade for iTunes the connection time has been getting longer and longer. Now when i click to open store the display is all wrong!!
the centre window for the store is almost like looking at old html language with the contents being listed underneath each other instead of being laid out in one page. to see it all i have to scroll down for ages.
I have a screen grab if anyone needs to see what i mean ( need an email address to send to).
I have unistalled itunes twice and even gone back to version 9 but still same problem.\
Still waiting on reply from Apple Support.
Can anyone help as its driving me mad!!

Have you changed the color management settings?
Does this happen immediately when opening the files?
Which setting in Photoshop do you refer to?

IPhoto '11 all wrong suggestions for faces

I have plenty of photo's of me, my wife and my son in iPhoto. iPhoto just won't recognize all faces (it detects the face, but always makes the wrong suggestion), so I just keep adding the faces manually. Can this be solved. Faces worked muck better in iPhoto '09.

I'm experience the same things over here, When I originally loaded all my photo's in iPhoto 11, I was amased of the face recognition. But know a few months later, when I add new photo's to the library, iPhoto almost never proposes a name with a face.
Does anyone has an idea how this can be fixed?
Should I reset the faces by any means?

How to position all alert messages in a particular position?

I have developed a Application where it contains so many Alert Messages and i want display All Alert messages in a particular position of respected screen. I have tried the following code but it works for individual alert messages. I don't want to set x and y properties individually, i want set x and y properties globally. Is there any way that i can apply for all the alert messages in my application.

Preview images for movies all wrong

I synchronized my (original) iPad to my Mac, and copied a bunch of movies into the Movies app's interface. Aside from the fact that they are all in a list (not divided into playlists, so it's very hard to find what I'm looking for, and no search field!), I see that the single frames which serve as preview above each title are completely wrong - some of them come from other movies, some are from movies which are no longer on the ipad, and some I have no idea where they're from. How do I reset this?

Print Preview is not part of Lr but of your printer driver / dialog.
The Print Preview displays the image in the orientation it is being printed, i.e with the long side of the image in the same direction as the long side of the paper.
I don't know if your printer dialog has a feature to turn the display by 90 degrees - mine doesn't. Print Preview is not designed to check the image quality but only if the size and orientation of the image are correct.

Single photos printed in iPhoto come out all wrong

I'm trying to print photos from iPhoto. The problem is they come out the wrong size or with the incorrect alignment (or both). I'm printing on an Epson using 4x6 photo paper. After I've believed to set up the size and print quality in the Print dialogue box, the prints come out off-center and aligned incorrectly; sometimes they come out in thumb-nail size. What is really confusing is that it seems you can set up the photo in two different ways: one in Page Setup, and one through the Print dialogue box; doing one or both changes everything, and it's always wrong. Can someone give me step-by-step help? Thanks.

I'm afraid that I can give no solution, but am equally keen to discover and correct the issue. I have a similar problem printing from iPhoto to my HP Deskjet F380, no orientation issues (as yet) though. The print setup all seems fine and shows me what I want to print but as soon as I go to print, preview or pdf I get given something completely different and something that does not correspond to any of the other print settings. I have eliminated the printer driver as an issue - this has been re-installed and besides there are no issues with printing from any other software.

I think you are going to have to restore as new. Deleting that MobileSync backup folder may have caused the problem. When you delete the backup from iTunes like I was asking about, you are only deleting one particular backup. If you have multiple iDevices - all of the backups would be in that one folder - I think that's how it works.

NetStorage file/folder dates all wrong

Have an OES2.3-LX-64bit server fully patched. Fresh install yesterday. Just noticed that our file/folder dates are all messed up. Shows up like this: 4/25/60093. All the dates have good day and month. It's the year that is messed up. All the years show 60094, 60094, 60095 and so on. Just wanted to piggy back on the recent postings on wrong file dates in NetStorage, Bug# 698388. Basically wanted to get an idea if our problem with the dates comes under this bug.

You'll have to contact Novell for the patch though, but they should credit you for the SR since you have the bug #.
I opened an SR with Novell and provided them the bug# and the Tech Support person said they would not give me a credit (see text of email below):
