Possibility to change password expired on sqldeveloper ?

Hi!
One use send me a problem. When i try to conectto the database, he get this message : ORA28001- the pasword is expired.
is there a solution like in toad, to change de password on oraclesqldeveloper. I fact on toad it propose to change the password.
Thnks .

It's possible by using the reset password option available from the right click menu on the "expired" connection, BUT only if you have an oracle thick client installed, if you are using pure JDBC connections, or the oracle client is somehow hidden from SQLDeveloper  then the option will be grayed out, and you'll have to reset your password manually.

  • Cannot change password expired password

    Hi there,
I am not able to change expired password on Windows server 2012. I am getting the error message that "You must change your password before logging on the first time. Please update your password or contact your system administrator or technical support"
I had similar issue in Windows 2008 servers and was resolved when I changed the the RDP security layer to negociate. But I couldn't find Session host configuration snap-in since RDS is not enabled.
    Any one faced same issue?
    Thanks,
    Ranjith

    Hi Ranjith,
    How are things going?
You could try to change the Security Layer to
RDP Security Layer in the Security section of
    Session Collection properties.
In addition, if you are using remote desktop over RD Gateway, there is no support for being able to use the “User must change password at next logon”.
Please refer to these two threads which is similar with your issues.

  • Not able to change password in SAP WEB application server for BI 7 EHP 1.

    Hi all,
I'm currently upgrading from BW 3.5 to BI 7 EHP 1.
When logging to SAP WEB application server to execute a WEB report, it's not possible to change password. Even when a initial password has been set, the user are not forced or able to change it.
Also to logon dialogue is more like a Windows pop-up than the Web based in 3.5.
    Anyone having a clue?
    Best regards

    Hi Eriki,
My problem is related to the WEB application server (WAS), not the Netweaver Portal.

  • Events on Password Expiration or Password Change?

    Hi,
I would like to know if there is any way to trigger a workflow or BPEL process when the user's password is expired in OCS OR when a user changes the password?
    thanks

Oracle Internet Directory has an event subscription mechansim that you should be able to leverage to detect password change.
In particular Oracle Directory Integration Server and the LDAP_NTFY package.
    http://www.huihoo.com/oracle/docs/B14099_19/idmanage.1012/b14087/dipapiref.htm
You should be able to create a process in BPEL that leverages the database adapter that triggers on new rows added to some custom database table populated by OID with event information.
In terms of detecting password expired, I think this is normally an exception that is thrown upon authentication ... I'm not sure if OID is capable of throwing out an event when a user's password has expired.
You could possible create some LDAP query to return all directory objects with an expired password.
    thanks
    Matt.

I have tried to log in App Store with my Apple ID 3 times but never possible.
I have tried to change password 2 times.
It was successful. But soon after change of my password, I could not log in App store.
It says always incorrect user name or password. But I input correct ! Because just I successfully changed my password through secret question.
Third time when I tried to change password, the page did not open!
So I checked my connection by netstat , and I trace the IP address ; 17.154.66.17 this is apple IP, but when I trace , it did not show the route. I will copy

To post this question, I tried thierd time to change password, and before I tried to log in to App store, I logged in this community, and I could !
Then I could finally log in App store also.
But still I feel something is wrong with my connection.
Why the trace route does not show to the apple site ?

  • SBS 2008 RWW displays "Your password has expired. Change it on the Change Password page."

I have one User Account that when logging into RWW , a dialog (as attached) comes up? From my experience, when a password needs to be changed you are simply taken to the change password screen to enter old password and new. This AD account even has Password
    does not expire set.
Even after changing password in AD this comes up - there are some other worrying things happening with this account as when the User opened their mailbox all of their Unread Items were marked as Read. Not sure if this is related.
When I login with another Test User Account, I cannot force the same dialog to come up and a google does not show me much.
Could RWW of been compromised or is there something in User AD Account? I ended up resetting Users' password via AD just to be safe, but dialog still comes up.

    Hi,
Did this encounter for all the user accounts or just for a specific one?
In general,if it is determined that the user must change the password upon logging on to the site (for example, the password has expired or set to User must change password at next logon), the logon page will present that error message to the user.
Please check the prperties of that user account to see if you have selected "User must change password at next logon"check box.
In addition, please check the default domain policy via the path below: Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Account Policies/Password Policy
Pleae check the value you have configured for “Maximum password age”.
    Best regards,
    Susie

  • ISE and AD Password Expiration Notification and allow user to change

We are almost ready to go live with ISE for our VPN users.
One last thing that has been asked is, how can we make ISE prompt a user when their AD password is about to expire, and allow them the opportunity to change it at that time?
I know the ASA has the ability if it is authenticating directly against AD, but that functionality goes away with IPN. So what settings are there to prompt users connecting via Anyconnect to the ASA VPN through ISE?
We do not have ISE setup for internal users/systems yet, this is strictly a VPN only setup for now.
    Thanks,
    Dirk

Since we are using radius protocol so password expiration notification will not occur. The user will be prompted when password would expire. With ldap over ssl, user will be notified that "your password will be expired in x number of days" but we can't pick that method as it shoud be ASA integrated directly with AD/LDAP.
Since we have ISE in between acting as a radius server so we have to live with the option where user will not be notified but password can be changed by end-user.
Procedure for Configuring RADIUS Password Management
Requires tha tthe Radius server/ISE  be integrated with an Active Directory MS-AD server.
    1. Enable "password-management" in tunnel-group/Connection Profile.
Note: "password-management password-expire-in-days X" will not work, use just "password-management"
    2. Ensure that MSCHAPv1/MSCHAPv2 is enabled on the RADIUS/ISE server.

  • RSOP: Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration

    Hi,
I am trying to implement a GPO so that users are prompted to change their password 5 days before it expires. I have done this via -
Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options > Enabled
Interactive Logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration
Despite doing the above the GPO does not seem to be taking effect. I have run RSOP on my machine and a few users machines and can see that there is a red circle with an X next to
Interactive Logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration.
Below is my winlogon.log file but I am not really sure what I am supposed to be looking for. Can anyone help?

    ******UPDATE******
I think I have managed to get this working. I changed the source of the policy to a different GPO. I then did the following -
From a command prompt run gpupdate (without the force parameter)
Ran rsop.msc and checked the policy and this time there was no red circle with an X
Have done the same on a few users machines and it appears to apply successfully. I say this because when you go into the properties for the policy you see the following -
The policy XYZ was correctly applied
Just have to wait and see if it actually does what it says on the can.
    Jeet S

  • Is it possible to change the wait time for when you enter an incorrect password on your iphone/ipad?

I reaaally hate how anti-procrastination apps like ColdTurkey don't work for apple products, because what's the point of restricting internet usage on the computer when you can just access it from your apple device? There's no point in using the parental controls or setting passwords for obvious reasons, either.
So I had an idea: from what I know, after guessing the password incorrectly 6 times, the device is locked for 1 min, 7 times, 5 min etc. So I was thinking, is it possible to change the settings, for example, to lock the phone for 60min after 3 wrong password attempts? This would be incredibly helpful!!
(if you know a way but don't want to post it here, please email me instead!)

Thanks a lot Rob. That works.

  • UME change password in LDAP when this has expired

    Hello,
I've configured SAP EP 2004 SP18, ume datasource is LDAP Active Directory, with SSL, and as administrator I can reset the password.
The problem appears when password is expired and the flag "user must change password" is marked in Active Directory and in the portal dosen't appear the form to the user to change the password.
If you read in ADS attribute "pwdLastSet" when is "0" means that the user must change password, I'm trying to map this attribute to ume attribute "passwordchangerequired", but it's not working, also are different formats.
The result is that in the portal login is not appearing the form to change the password when it's necesary, any ideas to map this active directory password or workaround...
    Very thanks in advance.
    Xavi.

same problem here ........ Iv'e set the UME expire date, and this works (kind of). The problem is that if both the Active Directory AND the UME are set to expire at 30 days, when the user logs on to the network on the 30th day, he is prompted to change his network password. Then as soon as he tries to log on to the portal he is prompted again (since the portal/ume doesnt know that the password has been changed in the active directory data source).
The user is prompted 2 times to change his password, and this is obviously confusing. And now his network password is different that what he just changed it to (since the portal / ume pw change changes the Act Dir password).
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

  • Is it possible to change a SAP BW password from the BI Launchpad?

    Hello,
    We are currently running:
    Business Objects 4.1 SP4
    Apache Tomcat Web Server
SAP BW 7.3 SP 7, ABAP stack only
We are using SAP BW as our primary EDW with BI 4.1 as a front end for Reporting and Analytics. SAP Authentication is enabled in BOBJ and that is used as the authentication method for all users. The majority of our user have no reason to ever log onto BW as all of their BI content is attainable through the BI Launchpad. (Analysis and Design Studio)
When a new user is created in BW, it is mandatory by policy for them to change their password upon first login. However, the only way they can do this is by logging in to the SAP GUI to BW. Can this be achieved somehow through the BI Launchpad?
    Thank you
    Scott

It is not possible to change it in LaunchPad unfortunately, workarounds are discussed here:

  • Be careful of "Prompt user to change password before expiration" policy -- it's counting the days wrong!!

After several tests, I'm pretty sure that the policy "Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration" is counting the wrong days. (Note: this policy is in Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security
Options)  So I think I should post this in the forum in the hope that it could be helpful to others in the same case as me, esp if the policy is pushed out as a domain-wide policy.
First, the context of the test, ie domain-wide policy settings:
    1. Password minimum age = 2 days
    2. Password maximum age = 4 days
    3. Prompt user to change password before expiration = 2 days
If everything is going fine, users will be asked to change password when it is changeable (ie it has reached the minimum age).  However, it turns out that users are prompted BEFORE they can change password.  Look at the image below that I got in
    Win7:
(In WinXP, we have similar prompt when user has just logged in)
Look at the clock: it's 13:16 (04/12/2013).  Then look at the DOS window in which I ran the "net user /domain" command and read the line "Password expires": it's shown
    06/12/2013 18:09:04.
A little math would tell me that if users are prompted to change password *2 days* before expiration, the dialog will appear
ONLY AFTER 04/12/2013 18:09:04.  But since the prompt is shown at 13:16 (ie well before 18:09), that mean the "prompt user...." policy makes mistakes in calculating the moment to show the prompt.
In other words, if we have the policy set like this:
Prompt user to change password before expiration =
    N days
The prompt will actually appear from N+1 days before expiration.
I would consider this as a bug, but I also suppose it's hard to make Microsoft fix it.  So that's why I make this post to warn others.  In my case, I have received several calls from users complaining that they were prompted to change password
but their new passwords were always refused and they had no idea what went wrong.  And it took me a lot of effort to sort out what really went wrong.  And in order to work around this stupid bug, I have to change the "Prompt user...." policy
to N-1 days (before expiration) instead of N days previously.
    Hope this help

    Hi,
Based on my research, you are right that the prompt policy is implemented by date, which is by design.
    “Set
Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration to 5 days. When their password expiration
date is 5 or fewer days away, users will see a dialog box each time they log on to the domain”, I quoted this sentence from the article below:
Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj852243.aspx
The problem is consistency!  For Minimum/Maximum password age properties, they are also defined for
days as well.  But for them, days are exact days, ie a
multiple of exactly 24 hours.  There is an "Explain" tab for every parameter, but even if you read them through, you can't tell if day means strict multiple of 24 hours or loose definition of days.  I'll leave the exercise to you to read
them if you like and spare me the article from your KB library.
As for the password minimum age part, what I mean is that is why users can’t not change their password within 2 days when the prompt appears before the changeable time.
Anyway, I agree with you that we need to be careful when we configure the password policy because the Prompt policy is not doing calculation by hours.
Miss, the 2 days is just a TEST EXAMPLE.  Let's say it's
N days if you was unable to understand.  I wouldn't change N days to N-1 days because of this stupid GUI bug.  As I said earlier and let me repeat it once more,
Minimum password age = N days is a security policy and it is more important than the user prompt and no security officer with sane mind will change this.

  • Windows 7 Expired Password - Recvd Warning prompts but not forced to change password

Our Windows 7 users are prompted when their passwords will expire in 14 Days, however They are not forced to change thier password before it expires. If the users ignore the expiration warning they can only get logged into the network after having the helpdesk
    reset thier password.
Is there a way to force Windows 7 users to change thier passwords on the day it expires. Our WinXP users get the 14 day warning and are forced to change thier passwords on day 14.
I have the GPO configured to notifiy users when thier passwords will expire in 14 days
    Thank you,
    Glen

    Hi,
After applying above settings, the user can change the password by default at the expire day. Please create a new domain profile and test the issue on several Windows
7 machines. Can the user be enforced to change password at expire day? If not, please refer to the following steps to collect the information for research.
    1. On the DC, open GPMC, right-click Group Policy Results, choose Group Policy Results Wizard, follow the wizard to collect a Group Policy result for problematic
    Windows 7 client.
    2. On the Windows 7 machine where GPO failed to apply, please perform the following steps to collect log files:
    a) Please add the specified registry key to enable group policy log (%windir%\debug\usermode\gpsvc.log), and remove or rename it to disable group policy log after
collecting data. You may need to create the Diagnostics key if it is not there.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Diagnostics
    Type: DWORD
    Value: GPSvcDebugLevel
    Data: 0x30002 (hexadecimal)
    b) Then on the problematic Win7 machine, run command “gpupdate /force”.
    c) Then on the problematic Win7 machine, run command “gpresult /v > gpr_win7.txt”, send me gpr_win7.txt file.
    d) On the problematic Win7 machine, run command “eventvwr”, then expand to Applications and service logs -> Microsoft -> windows -> groupPolicy
-> Operational. Right-click on it and click “save event as”. Save the file as .evtx format and send it to me.
    e) After that, please send me the above output files. (please zip them first and then send them to me).
    - %windir%\debug\usermode\gpsvc.log
    - gpr_win7.txt
    - win7.evtx
Please use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the GPMC
result and the zip files, and then give us the download address.
    Thanks,
    Novak

  • User stuck on "Changing Password" screen after updating expired password, Windows 8.1 Pro

    Hi,
We have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 Professional in our domain (Domain & Forest Functional Level at Windows Server 2003). I am facing an issue where, when a users' password is expired and the user changes his/her password (after being prompted)
on their Windows 8.1 workstation, the user isn't able to login. The login screen displays "Changing Password" along with the little dots going in circles.
I have tried googling for a solution without much luck. Has anyone else faced this situation and is there a fix? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Sach,
For this issue,I suggest we try using other computer to change the password.
