Possible to have multiple cluster members in the same JVM (for unit tests)?

Hi,
I'm wondering if it's possible to simulate multiple cluster members inside of a single JVM. I'm looking to unit test my code and it would be great to write cases for various boundary conditions.
This could certainly be done with multiple JVMs but would be more difficult to run in something like cruise control etc.

Hi Danny,
I do not know how to accomplish what you are asking for and run several Coherence nodes in a single JVM, but I have written a JUnit base class that starts a configurable number of nodes (each in its own JVM) and provides some other useful methods for unit/integration testing with Coherence, such as method to clear all caches or to load test data from the CSV file.
It is still a work in progress and you might need to tweak things a bit to make it work in your environment, but it will at least give you a head start.

Youshould set one of them up to extend the wireless network. That one would not need an Ethernet connection and would allow your network to cover a broader area.

In Settings somewhere there's a Playlist option to show All Playlists - if it's only set for music playlists it may be ignoring any other media.

What happens on iCloud when multiple family members use the same Apple ID? For example if we all choose to use iCloud for contacts, are they all merged together? We use the same Apple ID so we can use find my iPhone to keep track of the whole family.

Of course if you are both connected to the same iCloud account you have the same contacts - what did you expect?. The contacts live on the server and are read from there by the devices; so as you've both managed to sync your contacts up to iCloud they are now inextricably mixed. You can only delete your contacts by deleting individual ones, and doing that will delete them from your phone as well.
You can only unravel this by
1. In the iCloud contacts page at http://icloud.com, select all the contacts, click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Export vCard'.
2. Sign out of System Preferences>iCloud
3. Create a new Apple ID and open a new iCloud account with it for your own use.
4. Import the vCard back into the iCloud contacts page.
5. Go to http://icloud.com and sign in with the original ID. This is now his ID. Work through the contacts individually deleting the ones you don't want him to have. When done sign out and advise him to change his password.
6. Go to the new iCloud account and delete his contacts individually.
Of course if you have also been syncing calendars and using the same email address there are problems with doing this.

No, your ID is essentially your account. You can have email aliases and you can have multiple accounts, but I don't think that's what you are asking.

In iTunes(on a Mac or PC) just tap on 'Albums' rather than 'Artists' and you'll see them all together.
You may find that there are songs mislabelled. In which case right tap on the Album or Artist and tap 'Get Info', then change to the correct name and the songs will join the rest of the songs for that Artist or Album.
Then resync with your iPhone and all will be well.

I'm doing an application that reproduces the front panel of the HP6675A power supply. To achieve this, I have done a state machine with different states
(initialize, measures, voltage, current, ocp, ov, store, recall, etc). In each state, should have an event structure that catches the events of the buttons, like for example: if the current state is the Voltage mode and the user press the current button the next state will be the Current mode. For this in each state of the state machine should be the same event structure with the same events.
My problem is that the Vi doesn't work properly when I have multiple event structures with the same event cases. There are some possibily to do this, and how? Or is impossible to have multiple events? I have been reading some posts, but I don't find solutions.
Any help is appreciated.

A proper state machine will not need the second loop. The "Wait For Event" or "Idle" state (whatever you want to call it) is all you really need in order to catch the user button presses. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH SHARING MY LIBRARY WITH MY SON. WHAT I DID WIAS CREATED A LIBRARY FOR HIS USE ONLY. IN ITUNES CLICK--FILE--NEW PLAYLIST AND THIS SHOULD ADD AN UNTILED PLAY LIST IN YOUR SIDE BAR. CLICK ON IT AND RENAME IT. HE CAN KEEP ALL OF HIS MUSIC IN THIS LIBRARY. SELECT ALL OF HIS MUSIC FROM YOUR LIBRARY AND DRAG IT INTO HIS. ONCE THIS IS DONE YOU CAN THEN REMOVE HIS SONS FROM YOU PLAY LIST. MAKE SURE YOU ONE REMOVE IT FROM YOUR PLAY LIST AND NOT DELETE THE FILE.

In case you didn't fully understand what dallon meant, it means another user account on your computer. You set that up in Windows and then instal iTunes onto that account.
That way, you each have your own desktop and your own itunes. You can link to the songs in the other person's library as well, but you cannot run both iTunes at the same time. (That simply means you need to close it on the first account before opening it on the second account.)

There's many ways to accomplish this. You could create two accounts in Windows. That way everything is completely separate. Or, you could manually manage your music in iTunes -- this way it won't automatically sync your music onto her iPod. More info here:

I hope you also checked the IPCKEY (and all other identifiers of that kind)
in your ubbconfig file: they should all be different.
We have similar configurations running without any major difficulty.
One catch: very heavy IPC activity (due to errors in the application,
never because of heavy user load) in one environment sometimes overloads
the OS, resulting in hung applications in the other environments.

Can you have multiple users working off the same Mac pro at the same time with multiple monitors but doing different things?

I'm buying desktops for a start up company and was wondering if I could purchase a single Mac Pro and run multiple monitors to allow multiple users to work on the computer at the same time. These users would be doing different tasks but I would hope to accomplish that on a single desktop. I know that screen sharing is possible but with only one user controlling both of the screens. Some companies are doing "Bring your own device". Bring a device to receive email -- computer/smartphone/tablet you already have, or have an allowance to buy one for your use.
