Possible to publish and schedule custom reports in DPM console?

Hello
I've made a slight adjustment to the Tape Management (MediaDetails) report using Report Builder and saved it to the report server creatively named MediaDetails2.
It does not show up in the DPM console, Is this possible?
I would also like to schedule this Report to be sent via email at a regular intervals just like the built-in reports.
DPM 2012 R2 UR4
Thanks

Hi
I don't think it's possible to have it show up on the DPM console, however you can subscribe to the report and have it mailed like other DPM reports.
See the following blog for details.

  • Using B.O. Publisher and Scheduler to post Deski reports to repository

    Hello All,
Is there anyway to duplicate the AddComplexFilter vba api function that was available in B.O. 5.1.x and earlier with B.O. XI Publisher and Scheduler and then post the series of results to the repository under different report names in both pdf and excel formats and accessible using OpenDocument URLs?
I am trying to duplicate a custom designed B.O. 5.1.x process in B.O. XI 3.1 but I'd like to make it easier to administer and maintain and avoid writing code if possible.
Thanks in advance for your help and insights,

Current (XI R2) version of ReportEngine API only supports refreshing/viewing functionality for Desktop Intelligence documents.  Document modification/creation is only supported with Web Intelligence documents.  Queries aren't modifiable for Deski using ReportEngine API - you can only do so using Desktop Intelligence Reporter SDK, which is COM based.Sincerely,Ted Ueda

  • Difference between standard report S_ALR_87011963 and the custom report

    Hi Friends,
My client requires a report which displays the acquisition and depreciation values of assets. Actually the requirement is to display all the values except planned depreciation.
Therefore we are taking the values only from the table ANLP. However the values in this report is not matching with that of the standard. In the standard report the Current Book Value should be selected to avoid planned depreciation. Am i right??
So once the CBV is checked the standard report will display only the posted values for a period.
But we are getting a huge difference in the depreciation value between the two reports.
Please help me out on this.
    Regards,
    Prasad

I think your client requires to see Gross asset value and Deon posted in the report for all the years (not for current year only).  If that is the case, current book value = APC - Depn posted earlier, so it gives wrong result.
    Ex  : Asset acquired in 2006 ; APC = 1000$ ; Depn posted in 2006 : 100$, so current book value is 900$.
So, I would suggest to have a look at the logical data base ADA or use ANLC, ANLV, ANLQ, etc or ANL* and search for the relavant tables required for your purpose.

    Hi Experts,
I am new to SOLMAN. I have one question. Is it Possible to create our own custom Reports in SOLMAN. If possible
tell me the variuos types of reports and how we can create.

    Hi
SAP Solution Manager can be used for entire ALM so you need to clearly specify which area and what report you are talking about
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/alm-getting-started
General transaction code for reporting is
    SOLAR_EVAL
it helps you to build the entire project report phase wise or for service desk or for charms or test management etc

  • GnuCash 2.6.6 and custom reports

I've just spent a bit of time trying to figure out why 2.6.5 -> 2.6.6 had caused custom reports to fail. I'm not fluent with Guile or Scheme, and my custom reports are just hacks of files copied from those supplied with the package with help from GnuCash documentation.
WIth a lot of trial and error, and a hunch that the fix for bug 619899 regarding how .scm files are processed was causing the problem (especially after following the link given in Comment 7 there re. the use of intltool/xgettext), I've got it working with "s/N_ /_ /", changing the format of all the internationalisation strings. All those which were part of the packaged .scm file needed to be changed, though, not just ones I'd entered.
Does this make sense to anyone? As I say, I don't really know what I'm doing, so don't know if it's an Arch-specific problem, a bug with GnuCash or with another package that needs reporting, or an error on my part.

    Thanks.
I will be doing a reinstallation tomorrow morning because I think I screwed everything up.
    Here's another question.
If I do a system update, which will install a kernel update, should I generate a new image using mkinitcpio?
Better yet, should I just generate a new image upon doing a successful boot without the update?
    1. No, the install script for the kernel package will take care of building a new image.
    2. I really don't see any point in doing this either. It is true that there are times the image requires rebuilding (as stated above) but if you install with the newest iso you'll already have a working image upon boot.
    Have you tried 0.8-beta iso?

  • Custom report generation

The program I'm working on has to create a test report. I use an Office-XP word document, provided by my client, as pattern for this report, in which strings, tables and graphs from my program are to be inserted.
My program is made using LabWindows/CVI 7.0. For the test process and report generation I plan to use TestStand 3.0.
My question now is, if and how it is possible, to realize such a custom report in TestStand 3.0?
(I've already learned that all TestStand sequences and process models can be modified to match my individual needs, but the steps in the report generation sequences are a bit cryptic and I can't find any manuals covering this topic in detail.)

    Hi,
There is no extra documentation detailing the breakdown of the TestStand report generation, other than the highlevel detail of the different callbacks for the Header, footer and body of the report as found in the Teststand manuals.
But, the flow the the report sequencefile is fairly straight forward, once you are familier to the component parts of the a step.
The easies way to help the understanding is to single step through an small example and watch some of the variables.
Where most of the work is done is the sequence PutOneResultInReport found in the sequencefile reportgen_[xml|html|txt].seq. (note there's a different report generation sequencefile for xml, html and txt.)
For simple modification to the report you make use of the Callback overrides and
there's one for the Header part, one for the Footer and another for the Body.
There is an example in the TS3.0 manual using the Header callback.
If you are making big changes to the report then you will need to change the actual report sequencefile.
    Alternatively,
you could try Www.emodularsolutions.com, they have produced a Report Generation package called DocFlex.
    Or
Log your results to a database and then use some external package to pull the information and package to a defined stlye sheet. I am sure there are software package that will do this.
Sorry that the answers are a bit general but I hope it gets you started.

  • SLM Custom Reports

    Hi all,
I am new to iReport and creating custom reports with this Sentinel SDK,
took me a while to get it working, but since I have I really like the
    way it has been done.
I need some help getting started with a report I need to create, we call
it an "Audit Report", but really, it is just information regarding what
workflows have been kicked off and who has actioned the workflow and the
outcome of the workflow. It will need to be more detailed eventually,
but I just need help getting started.
I am looking at the SLMEventQueries documentation I found:
    http://www.novell.com/developer/slm_event_queries.html
This talks about using the "Log Manager Event report template", but I
cannot find that in the SDK... Is it somewhere else?
Thanks in advance for any assistance! Also, if there are any other
tutorials to help me better understand creating custom reports, I would
    really appreciate a link.

    Craig,
Welcome to the forum. Before getting into this too much I am going to
possibly tell about some things you've already seen and decided were not
for you, but since you did not mention them (and since they are often not
understood or recognized) I'll do so anyway. Please forgive this
intrusion if I'm relating known information.
Log Manager and Sentinel 7 both changed how reporting can be customized in
a big way. With previous versions, and with the previous reporting
infrastructure, life was painful and hard and required customizing every
stinkin' report to make it work for anything other than different time
ranges (and sometimes event severities as I recall). All in all, it was
terrible and deserved to be scrapped as it was.
The new way lets you create a lot of basic reports without using any
customization tools like iReport, though you can of course create whatever
using iReport and the SDK. What is often the case, though, is that the
report simply needs to display certain events and certain fields from
those events. Sometimes those just need to be counts of events and other
times they need to include a bunch of details.
Sentinel 7 as well as Log Manager let you use the filters you already use
to find events in order to create a new custom report. The documentation
    covers this in
    https://www.netiq.com/documentation/...a/bjzrhf4.html
under the 'Save the Query as a Jasper Report' section. Basically you
create your filter and then save it as a report choosing an appropriate
visualization ('Event Details' is a common one, as is 'Event Summary').
Also, you may want to see if the Identity Manager collector's Collector
Pack includes a report that meets your needs assuming the customization
    above does not.
    Good luck.

  • Can Tivoli (TWS) be used for scheduling WebI reports in BO XI 3.1?

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to schedule WebI reports to refresh using TWS?
We are using BO XI 3.1 SP2 deployed on unix and would like to use TWS to refresh WebI reports that are built on SAP BW Bex queries.  Does anyone have any experience scheduling WebI reports using TWS with XI 3.1?  Any information you can provide would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Derek

    Hi
I can think of two options:
    1) You define in BO CMC external events  and schedule your reports to wait for them. In the TWS you can schedule an OS script to create the file that triggers the BO external event. The reports will run only after the file is created.
    2) You write  a java program that uses the BOBJ SDK in order to schedule immediately your reports. In the TWS you create a scedule that starts the java program. (You can find examples how to use the SDK here http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/samples )

  • Scheduling WEBI reports with formulas for parameters

    Hi,
I am new to this environment. I would like to try and schedule a report monthly with dates (that will change from month to month). ie first and last day of previous month. Is there an easy way of achieving this automatically?

    Post Author: DebT
    CA Forum: WebIntelligence Reporting
Needed to do the same thing, with lots of different date ranges - month to date, year to date, last month, last week, fiscal year, etc.  Came up with a solution that takes a bit to set-up but then is re-usable and flexible.  I'll do my best to try and explain. 1)  Within the universe, created a "CurrentDate" derived table that calculates various points in time (yesterday, first of the week, last of the week, first of last month, last of last month, etc.).  Because the product would not let me use an unlinked table in calculations, I used a common table as the "from" in the SQL and included a common identifier so I could link the derived table to an existing table in the universe - I selected a small one with only a few records.  Using Oracle here, not SQL, so you'd need to modify to use SQL date functions, and add/delete the calculations you need:select distinctcommonidentiferfield, trunc(sysdate) as CurrentDate,trunc(sysdate)-1 as Yesterday,trunc(sysdate)1 as Tomorrow, case  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=2 then trunc(sysdate)-3  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=1 then trunc(sysdate)-2  else trunc(sysdate)-1  end as PriorWorkDay,case  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=6 then trunc(sysdate)3  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=7 then trunc(sysdate)2  else trunc(sysdate)1  end as NextWorkDay,case  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=5 then trunc(sysdate)4  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=6 then trunc(sysdate)4  else trunc(sysdate)2  end as TwoWorkDaysFromToday, trunc(sysdate,'D') as StartThisWeek,trunc(sysdate,'D')6 as EndThisWeek,trunc(sysdate,'D')-7 as StartLastWeek,trunc(sysdate,'D')-1 as EndLastWeek,trunc(sysdate,'D')7 as StartNextWeek,trunc(sysdate,'D')13 as EndNextWeek, trunc(sysdate,'MM') as FirstOfThisMonth,trunc(last_day(sysdate)) as LastOfThisMonth,trunc(last_day(add_months(sysdate,-2))1) as FirstOfLastMonth,trunc(last_day(add_months(sysdate,-1))) as LastOfLastMonth, case  when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)1  else extract(year from sysdate)  end as CurrentFiscalYear,to_date(concat('07/01/',case                          when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)                          else extract(year from sysdate)-1                          end),'mm/dd/yyyy') as StartCurrentFiscalYear,to_date(concat('23:59:59 06/30/',case                                   when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)+1                                   else extract(year from sysdate)                                   end), 'hh24:mi:ss mm/dd/yyyy') as EndCurrentFiscalYear, case  when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)  else extract(year from sysdate)-1  end as LastFiscalYear,to_date(concat('07/01/',case                          when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)-1                          else extract(year from sysdate)-2                          end),'mm/dd/yyyy') as StartLastFiscalYear,to_date(concat('23:59:59 06/30/',case                                   when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)                                   else extract(year from sysdate)-1                                   end), 'hh24:mi:ss mm/dd/yyyy') as EndLastFiscalYearfromsmallexistingtable 1a)  Link the derived "CurrentDate" table to smallexistingtable using
your commonidentiferfield (at least I had to do this, though everything
parsed ok in designer, when used in a query unlinked, it screamed quite
unhappily which is why I ended up basing the query on
smallexistingtable and linking). 2)  Created a "Dates" class and objects for each date in the above table, ie. "Current Date", "Yesterday", "Tomorrow", "First of last month", "Last of last month"3)  Created an object called Prompt - Date Range - Start Date.  This prompts the user to select the date range type they want and also allows for "custom" date ranges for on-demand reports.  For scheduled reports, you just select your response as part of the scheduled instance.casewhen @Prompt('Select records for','A',{'Today','Yesterday','Tomorrow','Prior Work Day','Next Work Day','Today - Date Selection that is used to select the appropriate records based on your record date being within the date range selected:@Select(My Date Field) between @Select(Prompt Fields\Prompt - Date Range - Start Date) and @Select(Prompt Fields\Prompt - Date Range - End Date)6)  When you create your query, just use the filter created in step 5.  I also usually include the Prompt - Date Range - Start Date and Prompt - Date Range - End Date objects so that I can use them min(Prompt - Date Range - Start Date) and max(Prompt - Date Range - End Date) in the report header to display the actual date range selected (all the value in Prompt - Date Range - Start Date are exactly the same, I use the min to avoid multiple value errors - same for Prompt - Date Range - End Date, I use max just because logically my brain likes that better).  When you refresh the query, it will ask what date range type you want, a start date and end date - used for custom ranges - you can enter any date if not selecting a custom date as it is ignored. Hope that makes sense and is helpful.  It's worked really well for me.  I also have an even more complicated version (imagine that!) for situations where there may be multiple dates a user can choose from, ie a posting date vs the date of service.  It will ask the user which they want and in the Prompt - Date Range - Start Date, a case statement is added to handle the selection/use of different date fields.Deb

  • Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.1 Custom Reports

Hi, I need to generate a custom Guest User report from Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.1. It needs to have a couple more fields added to the existing "Guest User Association" report.
Is it possible to connect to the Cisco Prime Infrastructure Database and Generate custom reports? Is there any documentation on this?
    Thanks

Programmatic access to PI's data is via the REST API.
Check the help menu on your PI server to see documentation regarding the supported tables and fields that can be queried via that method.

  • Schedule a report in BI SE1

    Hi,
the scheduler service is provided by Delivers that is not included in the BISE1. You can use BI Publisher to schedule a report.

  • Error creating custom reports. Permissions issue with custom reports

I am having permission issues with reports. I am building a new Configuration Manager  2012 infrastructure and I have configured the Site server on Server1 and the DB is on Server2. Server2 also hosts the Reporting Point and SSRS roles/features. If
I look in Monitoring at the Site Status and Component Status are all green no issues with the setup.
Running SQL 2008 SP2 (no CUs). I have a service account that I used to install Configuration Manager and SQL. This service account is running the SQL service on Server2 and i am using the same account as the Reporting Services Point Account.
I log into the SCCM console with a different user account, lets call it Admin1. This account is a member of the Full Administrator role. I can run any built in report.
When I open the SSRS website and try to create a custom report I connect the DataSource using Windows Authentication. So the Datasource is connecting using the logged in users account. In this case Admin1. I test the connection and it connects fine.
I test this query. (Select * from v_R_System) I only have about 10 workstations discovered so the report shouldn’t be very big. I get an error “The Select permission was denied on the object ‘v_R_System’, Database ‘CM_XXX’, schema ‘dbo’. (Microsoft sql server,
    Error: 229)”
I have fixed the SELECT permission error by going into the database (using SQL Management studio) and granting Admin1 Select rights to the Configuration Manager database. I can now run the above query and make custom reports.
My 2nd problem is that other members of the Full Administrator role cannot run these custom reports unless I go into the database and grant them the SELECT permission.
    Question:
Should I have to manually go into the database to add SELECT permissions(i could use a group)? shouldnt Configuration Manager take care of this for me?
Maybe the built in reports use the SQL service account rights and the custom ones do not? Am I doing something wrong with the Datasource when I create these custom reports?
What is the correct process for creating custom reports?

I think i am getting closer to a solution. After the Custom report is created. i can go back into the report. Delete the DataSource. Then browse for a dataSource. there is a datasource located in http://server2/reportserver/ConfigMgr_XXX/
That datasource is used by all builtin reports. if you view the properties on the Credentials tab it is set to "do not use credentials" and the option is greyed out / cannot be changed.
it looks like i still need the SELECT permissions on the database to create the report initially but at least i have solved the problem with viewing these reports.
Can anyone confirm that what i did is correct?

  • Scheduled Webi Reports Don't Open on iOS's MS Exchange Mail

    Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the right place to write this post but I will try anyway.
We are using BO 4.0 SP6 and schedule webi reports as attached xlsx of pdf in e-mails.The problem is that the attached pdf's and excel files don't open right away in iPhone's native mail application when using MS Exchange. A tiny question mark shows up on the top corner of the attachment and when you tap on it, it asks which application to use to open it. We can choose iBooks app for example to view the file. We would like the attachment to open right away as we tap on it as it does usually.
    Here are some test results:
-We have observed this issue on iOS 8. However, there are rumors that it started with iOS 7. Same rumors suggest that it would work fine before iOS 7.
-We use iOS' native mail application with a MS Exchange account set up.
-We have also tested it with a gmail account set up next to the exchange account. The attachment opened with no problem.
-If someone forwards the mail received from the BO server, to another exchange mail, the attachment opens just fine.
-We have no problem opening other exchange mails with attachments on mobile.
We suspect, the exchange mail can't confirm the sender address thus can't trust the attachment if it is really a pdf-excel file. So we tried scheduling the webi report with a valid mail address in the sender information box but it didn't work.
Has anyone came across such a problem?
I know this issue involve SAP, Apple and Microsoft and each one will point the other for the blame. But any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hi Emre,
Though this appears on Mobile, this belongs to Webi Product team. As the schedule of Webi reports and the email output would be controlled by them. They can work with Apple to identify the cause and fix the defect. Hence, you can post your question in SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence
I would also recommend that you contact Webi Product Support through the official channel http://support.sap.com/incident
