Possible to start the PC via java app?

Hi,
I want to write a program, that can start the pc from suspend mode or sleep mode.
Is this possible? And if true how?

I have created a program in C# that firstly puts the computer in sleep mode after some time and it continues running and if some more time passes it goes into hibernate mode and shuts down...so there must be a way to wake-up the computer from sleep mode from a C# application...that's why I tell you to check on forums.microsoft.com...they have a lot of topics on C# for suspend modes...

We have SAP running on an iSeries/DB2 format.
And we of course have stopped and started our SAP systems many times before via an iSeries screen.
One thing we have never had to do, is stop and start the system via the SAP GUI.
Is this possible? If so, how is it done?
Surprisingly difficult to find a solution online.

Paui,
You can also do a soft shutdown, which waits till the active users/sessions are logged out (Draing out the sesstions) and no more new users are allowed to login during that time.
Goto SM51, select the instace/server you want to stop then menu --> Goto --> Server Name --> Administration --> Shut Down Server (soft).
Here you can also select a hard shutdown if the situation demands by following the same menu path.
Even though your question is answered but I still wanted to update you the options to select.

How i solved:
1 Mount the Flash Player installer .dmg file
2 Copy the "Install Adobe Flash Player" file to desktop or any other directory as preferred
3 Open terminal and cd to desktop or the other directory
4 Run the following command on terminal: sudo ./Install\ Adobe\ Flash\ Player.app/Contents/MacOS/Install\ Adobe\ Flash\ Player
5 Insert the password when asked

My iPod touch keeps stopping every 45 min's when listening to the radio via an app. What to do?

I listen to the radio via an app on my iPod touch, but every 45 min's or so the whole program stops and I have to reactivate the app, which is difficult in the middle of the night! Wifi connections is ok, iPod also fully charged. Please can anyone help me to sort this out? thanks!

Can anybody tell me where i can find the latest JAVAAPI reference guide? I found the one for MDM 5.5 SP 1 but that also refers to the last parameter of the CatalogCache.Init as int and not string.
I looked up in service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Netweaver -> Release 4 -> Installation and there only following 3 files are there for MDM 5.5 SP2

Is there a possibility to start the VeriStand 2014 Gateway programatically using LabVIEW 2014?

This is a reload of the Is-there-a-possibility-to-start-the-VeriStand-2011-SP1-Gateway because what worked in 2011 SP1 does no more in 2014.
I ported the code from the previous topic, do do the same thing (calling "__cdecl Int32 StartVeriStandGateway(out Int32 handle)" in "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\VeriStand 2014\Data\NationalInstruments.VeriStand.Gateway.dll".
Doing this from a .NET programme (console or windows process) or directly from a DLL node in LabVIEW 2014 seems to have no effect, knowing the .NET code worked in 2011 even when called from a Windows service.
Is there a new way to do it?
By the way, the "NationalInstruments.VeriStand.WindowsRegistry.GetInstallationDirectory()" method has disapeared from the assemblies.

You're rigth, after PC reboot the Gateway starts when calling the DLL node (OpenWorkspace & GetSystemStatus are called with no errors), but when I try to ConnectToSystem the program stays blocked into the sub-vi, although the code works well if the Gateway was previously started normally by running VeriStand from Windows.
I tryed to change the call policy in the DLL node (UIThread & any thread) but it seems doing nothing.
Please find here joined the test files and debug capture of the stall.

No. If you had previously synced the iphone to your computer you would not have to enter a passcode on the phone, as the devices would have established a trust relationship. Absent that there is no way to unlock the phone.

Is it possible to restore the Ipad without losing app data?

I have about 150 or so drawings saved to my Sketchbook App. My Ipad is 32GB, but 20 of that 32 is being taken up by the "other" catagory. I found that it could be useful to restore the IPad to rid it of this "other", but I also heard app data can not be restored. Since some of my 150 drawing are unfinished and I dont want to delete them, is it possible to keep the app data as well as delete the "other"?

But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup...

I think it's all down to the trust between the two corporations. If your company don't trust them can keep the security of your data then simply don't hire them.
If you don't trust a person why you want to give the key of your home to him?
I believe you can also try to encrypt your files using thirty party tool before sending them to the storage company. However that will prolong the recover time of your database.

I need to build a button within a web template that will change the scaling factor of all key figures. I some Java code that will do
this but as it places the multipple commancs (one for each key field) into one URL and as this exceeds 256 chars I can only get it to work for 15 key fields.
I am therefore looking at using hidden forms to do this instead. Using the code below it works nicely for 2 defined key fields
Is this possible (or am I being stupid?)
