Hi,
How i could post initial stock to Handling units in storage location that isn't HU Manager.
I tried 561 and 501 in Vlmove and Humo  but didn't work,
In vlmove i have this Error "Dlv. type (dlv. catgry TP for mat. xxxxxx and BWART 561 ) cannot be determined".
In Humo 561 doesn't appear, but is in omjj.
thanks in advance.

  • Blocked Stock HUMO handling unit

I need a BAPI to move a handling unit to blocked stock. Does anyone know a BAPI I can use to replicate when a user selects a handling unit in HUMO then goes to "Edit" -> "Change HU Posting" -> "In Blocked Stock"? I am new at programming with SAP and do not know how to read or write ABAP. I call BAPI's remotely from external applications but I was not able to find a forum for this type of development. I hope someone will be able to assist me in this forum. Thank You

Yon can do it but it will require some programming (ABAP). Using BADI's for HUMO, you are allowed to enhance that transaction to include your own function codes and screens. You should be able to put there a function (your own) that will do a Inventory management stock move to QI, for example, for all the stock in an HU.
    Hope it helps,

  • QM Inspection stock With Handling unit (HU)

    Hello,
Is there a possibility of creating a handling unit from
QM stock that has an inspection lot, from a non HU managed
Storage location, to a HU  managed storage location.
    Best Regards,
    Itzik Eshed

    Hello Maarten,
as far as I can see there are various reasons why the system behaves as described:
First of all I would check if the QM-Customizing for the inspection origin '01' is correct.
Second in the process described I would really like to know when the packing of the HUs is done. This must be done in a seperate step for the creation of the Inspection lot.
Third there is still the possibility to check if the Exit QAAT0001 is active, I would check if the coding here reflects the fact that you are using handling units.
I hope that this information can help you in this particular case.

    Hi
    Handling Unit Management
    Purpose
You can use Handling Unit Management (HUM) to reflect packing-based logistics structures in the SAP System. Using this method, you track the movements of entire handling units and the materials they contain rather than tracking each material individually.
When you base logistics processes on handling units, goods movements processing is made easier, which in turn optimizes all logistics operations. This simplified processing includes the existing packing function in shipping and warehouse processing in the Warehouse Management system, which is expanded here.
    Features
In the system, the handling unit (HU) expands on the shipping unit. Handling units can be nested, which means that you can create new handling units from several handling units as often as you like. At the material item level, HUs contain the complete material identification, the quantity, and, in the case of serial numbers, the respective object list. Handling units have unique, scannable identification numbers that can be developed according to standards such as EAN 128 or SSCC.
Handling units contain all inventory management information of the materials they contain that are maintained in Inventory Management. There are also status messages that you can call up at any time that indicate whether a handling unit is only planned or if the ship-to party has been notified of the arrival of this handling unit, or whether it is in the warehouse or has already been posted to goods issue. The integrated history function also records each business process in the life cycle of each handling unit, meaning that you can track the handling unitu2019s path and development at any time.
In HU-managed storage locations, all goods movements are executed through the specification of the respective HUs, and Inventory Management is performed through the handling units. If you are not working with HU-managed storage locations, you can use handling units (without stock information) as before in the delivery and in the shipment.
In HU-managed storage locations, materials can be managed in HUs only. Mixed stock (stock made up of packed and non-packed materials within the same storage location) is not supported. HUs can also be managed in interim storage types. Unpacking a material from an HU means that the stock of the material is posted to a storage location that is not HU-managed.
If you call up normal material movements in connection with an HU-managed storage location, a delivery is created, rather than a direct material posting, which has been the procedure up to this point.
Handling units are unique at client level in at least one system. Using an indicator at client level (see Unique Identification of Handling Units), you can control whether you are going to work with the HU functions. Since the handling unit is a physical unit, the central logistics processes are controlled through the input of the handling unit identification. These processes include putaway, picking, and stock transfers, as well as goods receipts and goods issues.
A handling unitu2019s mobility can be limited if quality checks are active. Changes in the stock category caused by a quality inspection are made using a posting change in the handling unit.
There is also a report available that you can use to find and display handling units using different selection criteria such as material, packing instruction, or storage location.
Although the handling unit is basically a unit that remains constant in the system, you can change it by repacking the materials it contains. All the packing functions, such as packing, repacking, and unpacking, are completely supported by the handling unit function. In this way, handling units can be created in production, during goods receipt, or in the packing areas of the warehouse. If you have automatic packing, the handling unit is created from the packing proposals defined in the system (from the packing instructions, for example).

A handling unit’s mobility can be limited if quality checks are active.
All the packing functions, such as packing, repacking, and unpacking, are completely supported by the handling unit functionality. In this way, handling units can be created in production, during goods receipt, or in the packing areas of the warehouse. If you have automatic packing, the handling unit is created from the packaging proposals defined in the system (from the packing instructions, for example).

    Batch:
In various industries – particularly the process industry – you have to work with homogenous partial quantities of a material or product throughout the logistics quantity and value chain.
There are various reasons for this:
Legal requirements (for example, the guidelines set out by GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) or regulations on hazardous material
Defect tracing, callback activities, and regression requirement
The need for differentiated quantity-and value-based Inventory Management (for example, due to heterogeneous yield/result qualities or varying constituents in Production.
Differences in usage and the monitoring thereof in materials planning in SD and Production.
Production or procedural requirements (for example, settlement of material quantities on the basis of different batch specifications).

  • Initial stock entry MB1C with 561

    Hi,
I am sure this is a very basic question. Please help in resolving and if possible provide the process details.
I am trying to post initial stock entry for the warehouse managed storage location. NOw the stock is in the interim storage are 998 with AUFNAHME as the storage bin created over there.
How to i move this stock to the particular storage bin in the storage location from interim storage area in this case? What is the procedure with respect to TR & TO?
    Regards
    RJS

You need to create a transfer order to move the stock from 998 storage type to the storage type you want.
Assuming 561 movement has not created a TR (the standard configuration does not), you can use TCode LT10 to select the stocks and putaway in foreground. Then put the destination storage type and other details. Your TO will be created with 999 movement (default on the main screen).
You can then confirm the TO using LT12.

  • Error:Assign handling Unit from one Process order to another process order

    Hi Experts,
I am facing different issues in assigning handling unit from one process order to another.
    Business process:
    1. Two similar Process Orders are existing in the system
    2. Delivery is created for first process order using LP10 for one or more components
    3. TO is created in foreground using VL06P
    4. TO is confirmed by providing in stock available Handling Unit (HU) / storage Unit details Using LT12
    5. Customized transaction is used to reassign newly created HU (created in previous step) from first process order to second process order. As a result many steps are performed in background for delinking the HU from first process order to second process order (including creation of different TOs)
I am facing different issues in the process:
    1. Sometimes while confirming the TO in step 4: error is received as "Reservation item 0065 with material 4013959300300 does not exist" OR "Reservation item with material does not exist"
    2. If the TO is confirmed in step 4. I am facing error in step 5 as "Warehouse number  does not exist (new selection required)"
Both these errors are standard errors and I could not find much information on them in SCN also.
If anyone can throw light on any of them then it would be great.
Please let me know if any additional information is required.
    Thanks
    Harsh Aggarwal

    Hi Manish
Thanks for your response. Actually, the customized program is used only in fifth step and not till TO confirmation so that error is not related to Customized program. However, in some cases I am able to do the confirmation but the error is received in 5th step i.e. Warehouse number  does not exist (new selection required)"
Any further guidance you can provide. I will ask ABAP to check the customized program but the error seems to be a standard error.

More specifically, how to perform Sample Calculation using Sample Management and sample-drawing procedure
    Thanks.

I've only worked with HU's in QM for a brief while but there isn't  a ton difference with or w/o HU's.  The sampling procedures, sample drawing, etc.. work about the same.
The UD posting screen is different and you post by the individual handling units, not by UOM.
For QM you basically just need to click on the HU indicator in the insepction type setup in the material master.  You'll find the "Insp. Ctrl" field doesn't work as it normally does.  Most of the selections in there don't work.  Early lot creation does work if I remember but the other ones don't.  Each GR of handling units against a production order will result in an additional inspection lot.
