Posting Check validation error
Hi,
I did a program to check if a parked document is ready to be posted or if it has any errors. I used the FM PRELIMINARY_POSTING_CHECK_ALL to check that.
In one system I got an error message that the balance of the document must be zero (this is OK). But in another system from the same client, creating a similar document, I don't get that error from the FM (this is not OK).
Do you know if there's some customization that could be different from one system to another to avoid validating certain things such as the balance of the document?

I created a Javascript Function in Shared Components and tried using it in Form Level and Field level validation of forms and it is working fine ( as expected ). When an invalid value is encountered, the focus goes back to the field on which I had defined the validation.
I am using Oracle Portal version 3.0.9.7.3
Could you please check if your Javascript function has 2 arguments. Atleast 2 arguments are necessary as Forms passes 2 values to the function while calling it during form level validation.

Validation Errors with new Install of W7 x64 Ent Debug Checker On New Equipment
I am receiving multiple Errors. I am trying to use the Windows 7 x64 Enterprise which happens to be the Debug Checker version OS as the host machine. I have only built the machine, and tried to load the Drivers.
I say this due to the starting issue that upon the loading of the entire driver set, (for the MB, Seagate Harddrive, and Vid Card), I would get the BSOD. I identified that the Bluetooth driver was the issue. I then did not load the Bluetooth
drivers for the MB on the 5<sup>th</sup> or so install of the 7 Ent os. (Tried Server 2k8 r2. Which is not compatible with the MB Drivers.)
I have not received a single Update either. The Auto update feature claims that I am up to date. I do not believe this due to the fact that any fresh Install of any OS has about several decades of updates and reboots to go through.
Upon trying the suggestions on the forum about turning off the IE Addons, the errors remain. Also the results of the sfc /scannow are copied below.
My Questions
I am seeking assistance on solving the Errors that have refused to leave me alone , to put it humorously and am asking for your insight and wisdom. Will you take a look??
Do I need to go to Win 7 Ent or Ult x64 that is not a Debug Checker version.
Are there other Microsoft download Registery file checkers besides the MGA Diag tool that are freeware that I can use to check, for corrupted registry files.
Or do I just need to take it to the stores (Fry’s and Microcenter) that recommended the equipment and have them just reload the software and allow them the headache of solving the error issue, by paying them to install the drivers and have ALL of the
drivers work. (including the blue tooth)
The Goal is to turn it into a Active Directory Server using Virtual Box with Server 2k8 R2 running in the virtual box environment.

Now I use "Condition Type -> No Inline Validation Errors Displayed" but I need to check it in "PL/SQL expression".

Based on the description, you got warnings when you tried to click the mailbox delegation option of mailbox properties in EAC. Is it right?
Did this issue affected only one user mailbox or all of them?
From the error message, it seems that this issue is related to the corrupt permissions. Please use the
Get-MailboxPermission cmdlet to retrieve permissions on a mailbox to check result.

I am facing error message "Transaction cannot be posted due to errors in price determination" for "X-field conversion" while posting GR document against Scheduling agreement.
I have checked the Validity periods of conditions maintained in Scheduling agreement and it was within validity.
In Material master - Price Control - V (Moving average price/periodic unit price)
Standard price 0.00
Per. unit price 1.58
Price unit 1
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Note-2: From FI side check or Now use t.code: OB52 and open the 09, 2009 period in Account Types A, K, D,M, S and specially Account Type u201C+u201D which stands for valid for all accounts type and save. Better consult FICO consultant for OB52 step.

Checking for errors in application item computation (at page level)
I have a conditional computation used to set the value of an application-level item.
In the condition, I need to check to see if the action (button-press to initiate DML processing) generated an error (eg cannot delete row because of child records). I don't need to catch/handle any specific errors, I just need to know if an error occurred.
What do I check for? I've seen references on the forum to hidden page items Pxx_msg and Pxx_err, but I've played around with them, and apparently don't know how they're set.
Another thought I had is to create a before-computation process that checks to see if there is some sort of error/exception, but I'm not having luck w/ this either.

CMax -- I appreciate you helping me to clarify this issue. I need to track which database tables have had data changes committed to them in the course of the app running. My thought is to track this in an application item (a list of changed tables), and check/set the item as needed when delete/create/apply changes buttons are pressed. But if a DML statement fails, I don't want to add the table to the list of modified tables.
When I was setting the app item in a computation, it appeared that (like you said) I was trying to check for errors before the process had executed. (I'm also not sure I was checking for errors in the correct manner.) Regardless, the result was that the table got added to the list even when the delete operation failed because of child records.
What I'm doing now appears to work (and sorry, I can't actually access the app this morning, the server is down, so I may not be able to communicate this as clearly as I'd like). If I recall, yes, I'm setting the item in a post comp/validation process. I'm still not doing any error checking, but it appears that if there is an error, the process isn't executing: the item is definitely not getting set.
Can you clarify what you mean when you say that "all of this will execute before the processes". Do you mean that comps and page processes will execute before DML is executed on the database?

Printing user validation errors from .php file back onto a form
Hey all. I have written a simple contact form with the extention .php. It includes the php validation and the form inputs on one page. If the input does not validate, a warning in red is printed at the top of the form after the user pushes submit. When I cut and paste the php validation code into a seperate file, the validation errors print on a blank screen. What I want is to have the same results with a seperate php file as I do when I include the php code on the form. (print errors from the seperate php validation file back onto the form). </form>You want the form to submit its results to a separate file which processes the data. If this separate file finds errors, you want it to return control to the form page which would a) display the error messages, and b) populate the fields with the data entered?
If that's the case, then the processing file would have to send the errors and the data back to the form page either as a) URL variables, b) a cookie, or c) entries in a database.

After March Patch Tuesday: Unresolvable Windows 7 Validation errors
I have had a stable Windows 7 Enterprise installation with the initial MAK Product key for a couple years. After the Microsoft Patch Tuesday monthly set for March was applied, the system started complaining with a popup window "You may be a victim of
software counterfeiting". It had a hyperlink entitled "Go online and resolve now" which resolved to

I noticed that the path was missing for some Start menu items, the icons were not correct. The system environment variables TMP, TEMP, and windir had been deleted. The Windows Activation errors probably started shrotly after the system environment variable
were deleted.
After I restored the environment variables to their standard values, I ran WindowsActivationUpdate.exe, it went through the downloading update package, then installing update steps successfully.
With the standard environment parameters reestablished the MGADiag Copy function worked. I noticed then that it included a lot more information than what is displayed in the one popup window, similar in length to some of the other postings here with output
from MGADiag
In the course of troubleshooting the Activation error before posting here, I had issued the slmgr /rearm command to see if its action in resetting the activation timers would allow me to re-enter the MAK.
When WindowsActivationUpdate completed, then when I went to the Control Panel item for System. I was able to go through the validation process. Now the install is validated again.
Since the March Patch Tuesday set consisted of 12 updates I can't point the finger at any one for being the root of this problem. -

Report Still Runs When Validation Errors Occur
Hello.
I'm using Apex 4.2.1 against Oracle 11gR2 and Oracle App Server (mod_plsql).
My Set-Up:
I created an application containing a "classical" type report that is driven by a WHERE clause. I also have two date fields in an HTML region on this same page. These fields are used in the report WHERE clause. And the report is run by clicking a GO button on the page.
Here's what the WHERE clause looks like:
where table_date >= to_date(nvl(:P1_BEGIN_DATE, '01-jan-1900'), 'dd-mon-yyyy') and table_date <= to_date(nvl(:P1_END_DATE, '31-dec-2300'), 'dd-mon-yyyy')This is designed so that, if any of the date fields are NULL, then the minimum or maximum date will be used for the query.
These date fields should always have a value when the report is run, and so, I created two after submit NOT NULL validations, one for each of the date fields. If any of these fields is NULL when the GO button is clicked, an error message appears in the notification area at the top of the page.
Looking at all this, you might realize (as I do) that the nvl() functions in the above WHERE clause are redundant. After all, the validations are supposed to prevent these date fields from becoming NULL when the report is run. In any case, this set-up does work ok and points out a strange behavior with Apex.
My Problem:
If any of these validations throws an error message, the report still runs. In previous versions of Apex, if a validation (or, for that matter, any error) is thrown, the report remains static. The report region does not disappear and the report is not invoked until the user corrects the error.
If both date fields are filled, I click the GO button and the report correctly returns, say, 100 rows. But when I empty both of the date fields and click GO, the validation errors appear and the report still runs, now returning the maximum number of rows, say, 1000.
What I've Tried:
I added a Branch-to-Page with condition "No Inline Validation Errors Displayed" so that the page branches back to itself only when no errors appear inline and I changed the validation error messages to appear inline. This has no effect.
And if I remove the nvl() functions from the above WHERE clause, then, when validation errors are thrown, the report data is replaced with the "No data found" message. All very disconcerting to my users.
Does anyone know why Apex reports are still run in presence of validation errors?
And how do I get around this behavior?

Unfortunately, this DA does not work. When both date fields are filled, clicking the GO button does not cause the report (nor anything else) to refresh. However, if I navigate to another application tab and then return back to my report page, I notice that the report does refresh at that point. But clicking the GO button has no effect.
And when either or both of the date fields is NULLed, clicking the GO button does not cause my validation error messages to appear.
By the way, I do agree with your comment about the NVL() functions. As I had mentioned in my original post, I also realize that, with my WHERE clause, checking for NULLs in my date fields is not needed. Still, if users fail to fill these date fields, then it would be useful to remind users that these fields should be populated. This is why having the validation checks are still needed despite my WHERE clause.
In any case, would you know what I am doing wrong here with this Dynamic Action?
Also, with respect to my first question, why is Apex causing my report to refresh when validaion errors have occurred? This did not occur prior to version 4.2.

I need to make wsdl web service call in my weblogic app server. The web service is provided by a 3rd party vendor. I keep getting error
Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found
Certificate chain received from ws-eq.demo.xxx.com - xx.xxx.xxx.156 was not trusted causing SSL handshake failure
Validation error = 16
From the SSL debug log, I can see 3 verisign hierarchy certs are correctly loaded (see 3 lines in the log message starting with “adding as trusted cert”). But somehow after first handshake, I got error “Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found”.
Here is how I load trustStore and keyStore in my java program:

Because my program is a weblogic app server, when I start the program, I have java command line options set as:

That SSLTrust.jks is the trust certificate from our web server which sits on a different box. In our config.xml file, we also refer to the SSLTrust.jks file when we bring up the weblogic app server.
In addition, we have working logic to use some other wsdl web services from the same vendor on the same SOAP server. In the working web service call flows, we use clientgen to create client stub, and use SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter to load trustStore and keyStore, and then bind the SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the webSerive client object and make the webservie call. For the new wsdl file, I am told to use wsimport to create client stub. In the client code created, I don’t see any way that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the client object, so I have to load certs by settting system pramaters. Here I attached the the wsdl file.
I have read many articles. It seems as long as I can install the verisign certs correctly to web logic server, I should have fixed the problem. Now the questions are:
1. Do I create “cacerts” the correct order with right keeltool options?
2. Since command line option “-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore” is used for web server jks certificate, will that cause any problem for me?
3. Is it possible to use wsimport to generate client stub that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to it?

The how to guide is :
-Download the wsdl file (with bindings, not the one from ESR)
-Correct it in order that the schema corresponds to the answer (remove minOccurs or other things like this)
-Deploy the wsdl file on you a server (java web project for exemple). you can deploy on your local
-Create a new logicial destination that point to the wsdl file modified
-Change the metadata destination in your web dynpro project for the corresponding model and keep the execution desitnation as before.

Photos do not appear in projects Aperture 3.5.1
When selecting a project on the sidebar, the photos that it contains do not appear in the main viewer area. If that particular project then appears under the automated "Recent" header, selecting it allows the photos to appear as normal.

Hi All I am using XDK 10 and FOP 20.5, see my previous post - it all works fine. However I have found a weird thing and that is that the .xsql file is executed twice when using FOP, but only once when using a normal XSLT stylesheet. Anyone else notic
