Posting date of Dunning document

Hello Everybody,
I need to know how I can put my desired posting date in a dunning document ,which is generated through tcode FPVA and FPVB. As of now it is automatically taking the present date(date at which tranaction is run) as posting date.
It would be of great help if you can help me out in this.
Thanks in advance
Kunal
My apologies for posting the same message twice

Hi Kunal
In dunning in FICA there are two dates, the first one is the issue date. This can be chosen in FPVA and is the key date for which dunning notice. Next to that you've got the print date, and that is the date on which the activity is executed. You cannot choose this date, the system decides it automatically at the time of execution of the dunning activity run. And I do not think that this can be changed.
So I think you should use the issue date.

    Hi:
    During the Dunning Proposal, you can set your own date. The details are as
    1. Dunning Proposals
    The dunning proposal examines the customer’s contract account for open items and applies the rules established by the customer’s dunning procedure to these items. The output of this process is a proposal (a list of accounts with the proposed actions) which identifies the actions which will be enacted by the activity run. This proposal allows the user to review the list of business partners who should not be included in the run and to reverse them out of the proposal.
    Transaction FPVA requires the user to input a date and initial to identify the particular run.  Upon entry, the system allows the user to identify the options for the proposal. These parameters can include general items such as a specific range of contracts, contract accounts, business partners,   companies or general items. Once these general parameters are determined (It is acceptable to leave them all blank and run against all accounts) the specific dunning parameters are input which define the date of issue , open item due dates to be considered, and ranges of dunning procedures to be considered. The date of issue and the open item due date are the key data for these procedures. The remaining tabs control parallel processing and the level of detail in the program logs. The level of detail in the logs should be limited as a large number of entries can be generated from a single proposal. The selection entries should be saved and the proposal should be scheduled for execution.
    SAP Easy Access→ Utility Industry →Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable →Periodic Processes→ For Contract Accounts →Dunning Notice →Dunning Proposal Run (Transaction FPVA).
    2. Dunning activity
    The activity run can not be performed unless a proposal exists. The system uses existing proposals as input for the activity. The activity run executes all actions identified by the dunning procedure for those customers remaining in the proposal.
    SAP Easy Access→ Utility Industry →Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable →Periodic Processes→ For Contract Accounts →Dunning Notice →Dunning Activity Run (Transaction FPVB)
    This includes:
    Generating the identified collection letters.
    Generating disconnect service orders.
    Identifying and initiating the delivery of accounts to third party collection agencies.
    The identification of candidates for write-off.
    The updating of customer’s creditworthiness totals.
    Generate lien placement warning letter (addressed to premises owner).
    Hopefully it would be helpful.

    I have changed the posting date, document date & translation date to current period
    of an already parked document in a closed period.
    (e.g) Document parked in month of 28.04.2009(closed period) & i have changed the dates to
           28.05.2009(current period)
    I need to know what are the implications of the changes in dates for (posting date, document date & translation date) induvidually for both the periods(closed & current).
    Thanks
    Kenn

    Hi,
    There is no implications of change the the posting date of parked document because parked documents are not affected in financial.When you post the doucment then it will affect in finance.so there is no problem. You can change the posting date or document date only in a Fiscal year.

  • POSTING DATE in Accounting Document

    Hi All,
    I am facing the problem with POSTING DATE in Accounting Document.
    Sales Order               25/10/2008
    Delivery & PGI           29/10/2008
    Billing Doc                05/11/2008
    Accounting Doc Date 05/11/2008.
    The system picks the PGI Date 29/10/2008 as POSTING Date of Accounting document. It should be 05/11/08.
    Please let me know the reason.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hemant Patil

    Hi
    if you are looking accounting document of PGI it must be on 29th because material movement have done on 29th through PGI (it is accounting document for material movement not for invoicing)

  • Change Posting Date in the Document (BUDAT) in VL02N

    Hello everyone.
    In the VL02N transaction, when I push the "Post Goods Issue" button to create the Material Document,  the system puts in the BUDAT field (Posting date in the document) in the MKPF table the value of today (sy-datum). I need to change this value but I can´t find an user-exit that let me do it.
    Any idea?
    Thank so much.

    I finally found a badi: LE_SHP_GOODSMOVEMENT.
    Goodbye.

  • How to change Posting Date in Accounting Document

    Dear All,
    Query: While Releasing Invoice Document (BL) for Account Posting, How can we change the Posting Date for Accounting Document (AB)?
    Explanation: User has created one Invoice on 26.02.2009. that time, Because of Missing Foreign Trade Data, No Accounting Document had been generated. Now, if today i.e. 10.03.2009, I maintain Foreign Trade Data and Release Invoice for Account Posting, The Accounting Document will be posted as on Today's Date, i.e. 10.03.2009.
    User's requirement is the Invoice Document (BL) Date and Accounting Document (AB) Date must be same, i.e. 26.02.2009.
    It shouldn't be like Invoice is getting generated on 26.02.2009 and Accounting Document is getting posted on 10.03.2009.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Amit

    Dear Michael,
    It was a User confusion with Creation Date of Invoice, Billing Date of Invoice and Posting date of Accounting Document.
    User had created Invoice on some 01.03.2009 but Kept Billing Date as 26.02.2009. So, while released Accounting Doc. on 10.03.2009 (Releasing date and not Posting Date), It gets Posted on 26.02.2009, only, and not on 10.03.2009.
    The whole confusion was:
    When User refers Document Flow (for Invoice in VF02), System shows Invoice Date as 01.03.2009, against Accounting Posting Date 26.02.2009.
    Whereas,
    When I showed FBL5N to user, BL Document and AB Document both get posted on 26.02.2009 only.
    Its Clear now.
    Best Regards,
    Amit

  • Dp91/DP96 - alignment of posting date to and Document date (VBAK-AUDAT)

    Is it possible to force the document date on the billing request to equal the "posting to date" chosen in the selection screen with DP91 & DP96.
    The reason the users want this is so they can see costs and not invoiced billing requests in the same period in a custom report generated from SD.
    Pricing date does not help, as they may want to reference a pricing date in the past.  Currently our system is setting the VBAK-AUDAT to be the billing request creation date, which could be in the next period if it is run a little late.
    Is there a BADI or user exit that enables us to control the document date field?

    Hi,
    RRB definitely spans PS & SD. But your query is relevant to the SD module. Kindly raise this query in the SD forum.

  • Way to Copy Doc,Due and Posting Date from Sale Document to Other Sale Doc

    Hey SAP B1 Community,
                                  Most of the users facing Problems When they create Sale Order and then want to create Del and Invoice Doc. They have to Change Doc and Del Date, There is solution to avoid to write  dates again.
    First Create UDF with the name ie "DDate", in DDate udf write FMS which get the Date From $[ORDR.DocDate]
    in Del and Invoice Form Create FMS for Del and Document Date which get Value form UDF "DDate"
    It ll decrease the time to Post Del and Invoice.

  • Clearing date and Posting Date of a clearing document

    Hi,
    We have seen some cases in our system in which the clearing date and
    clearing posting date of a document is older than the creation date of
    the document.
    Please guide me: Should the above describe case be happened or allowed
    to be happened?
    Can we stop these kind of postings?
    Please guide.
    Thanks and Regards

    MP,
    Please try to pass the following values
    SELECTIONCONTROL structure:
      CLEARED_ITEMS = space
      OPEN_ITEMS = X
      STATISTICAL_ITEMS = space
      KEY_DATE = 20091016 (today yyyymmdd)
    MAINSELECTIONS structure:
      SELE = 0000
      BUSPARTNER = BP number
      CONT_ACCT   = contract account number
      CONTRACT = contract number
      At least either BP, CA or contract number must be passed in this structure.
    The BAPI will return in BALANCEITEMS the selected relevant items (for example, disregarding what happened after the key date)
    I hope this helps.

  • Goods consumption document posting date should be same as POD confirmation

    Hi friends,
    The scenario is like this --- The delivery is POD relevant, after delivery consignment lending happens {movement type 631}, then GI is done. But, only after POD confirmation this GI document comes into this document flow and it can be seen as  goods consumption document {movement tyep 902} in the document flow.
    Now, user's problem is with the goods consumption document posting date.
    In VLPOD overview screen,  actual goods movement date is 02.01.2008 and customer has sent the user a confirmation of delivery on 02.01.2008 itself. But, user has updated this VLPOD on today's date ie. 18.01.2008 and user has kept the POD date as 02.01.2008 itself {backdated POD date}. Now, after POD confirmation, goods cosumption document is created. But, system is showing the posting date of this docuement as todays date ie. 18.01.2008. But, user requirement is that system should copy the POD confirmation date into the goods cosumption document posting date. So, how can this be achieved ? can be done with some customization setting or user exit is the only option ???
    Await your kind feedback....
    Hrishikesh

    Hi
    As per my understanding the system is working as per the client's requirement-which says.,
    "user requirement is that system should copy the POD confirmation date into the goods cosumption document posting date"
    Since the POD confirmation date is entered as 18.01, the system has taken 18.01 as the goods consumption posting date.
    If possible, please try that with different dates of POD confirmation.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • OSS note 495160 - update posting date on parked invoice documents

    Hi, my question is about an OSS note; 495160.  I searched for other hits on this, and the problem, and didn't find much in the SCN so far.
    Problem:
    I am trying to find a solution to the issue where the posting date for parked documents is currently trying to post to the day that the document was originally parked.
    This is causing issues for prepaid inventory as documents might be parked and then not posted for 3 months. Since SAP only allows 2 periods to be open, it gives an error that says invalid posting period when you try to post a prepaid invoice that was parked and the period that it was parked in is now closed. Ex. Parked the prepay document and made the payment 6/30/2013. If the product arrives on 8/01/2013 and we try to post the parked document on 8/01/2013, the error will say that it can't post because June period is no longer open.
    Researched possible OSS note:
    I have researched how to change the posting date of parked documents (invoices) and we have OSS note 495160 identified.  This note seems to shed light on the function called, and in high-level terms talks of inserting a new custom function module.
    Question:
    The note appears to be incomplete, however, in the specifics of what code should go in the new Function Module and where exactlyin the parent FM, it should be inserted.
    In addition, some internet lookups have shown that it may be possible to leverage the method SET_POSTING_DATE in BAdI WRF_PREPAY_INVOICE to change the posting date.
    Does anyone have more info on the specifics of what code needs to be inserted and where?  Perhaps this OSS note is incomplete, or still in progress?
    Thanks
    Jeremy

    We did find a way to get this to work.
    In SE38 in SAPLMR1M, we added enhancements to the following:
    In includes:
    1)
         LMR1MTOP  - at the bottom of this top-include,  at enhancement point LMR1MTOP_02, we added
               include /nfm/lmr1mdat.
    Shortly after, in the PBO sections
    2)   LMR1MO10-->LMR1MO1N-->LMR1MO2O-->LMR1MO2O (document read),  we added
           a new enhancement implementation that was named  ZMIRO_ES_SAPLMR1M

    Dear all,
    I'm are currently searching for possibilities to extract Open Items with a posting date in the future from SAP IS-U 4.72 into SAP BW 3.5.

    Hi Marcos,
    When you have created the Restricted keyfigures for Open Items, You have to add the date characteristic on which you are looking open item and add the variable there.Here you have to use a variable of type Interval and select the operator "<" the date of the Variable.If you go through, there are standard variable for keydate, which you can use directly.
    Hope you got the idea
    Regards
    Happy Tony
