Posting Sequence

Hi all,
Can any one please tell me the sequence of posting when an employee has an off cycle and a regular payroll and why.
Thanks

Hello Ratnakar,
there is no mechanism that can ensure this.
You could define in the EE Profile: Predecessor required
But in your case this won't really help.
Is there a special requirement why you would have them processed in sequence of event date/time?
One option would be to buffer Event Messages and process them later via batch report.
See transaction /SAPTRX/TSC0MBF and SPRO
Event Management
Event Messages, Status Queries, and Web Interface
Define Criteria for Event Message Processing
You could try if sequence is ensured there or create your own batch report.
Best regards,
Steffen

  • POST-sequencing registry and files

I have just started to sequence with app-v SP3.
I was wondering if any of you have any good advice on editing packages post sequencing. What is best practices, to delete as much as you can of regentries and pakage files or to just leave it as is and only remove log entries?
Are there any regentries/packagefiles that are safe to remove that often are created?

    True

  • Controlling posting sequence during GL Import(GL_INTERFACE table)

I am putting multiple journal records in GL_INTERFACE table having same accounting date. I have enabled Auto Post.
My requirement is, during Journal import and subsequent Auto posting. Some particular journals to be posted before posting other journals. Is there any column in GL_INTERFACE other than accounting date, which can be used to sequence the posting of journals in GL.
This requirement comes due to the fact, that some of the journals add funds to a account and other journals use that funds from that account. My requirement is when I do a journal import, GL should first post the journals which add funds and then post the other journals which use those funds, else I may have funds check failed issue.
Please let me know of solutions...

    Hi,
Thanks for the solution. My company has assigned me similar kind of automation process. So if you could give me more input on this that would be great. You can send me further mails on the following id : [email protected] or a reply in the same forum is much appriciated. Waiting for your reply.

  • Idoc posting sequence

    Hello Guys,
I am using RBDAPP01 program to post Idoc in the background, I am seeing in the spool that Idoc are processed ine jeopardized sequence. Is there a simple way to have the idoc processed in the Idoc number sequence ?
I have read about serialization but I understand that it implies both the sending and receiving system and In my case it would be hard to changes anything in the sending system. Is there smething that I can do on my side ?
Does the packet size can have any effect on that ?

  • Screen rez at post?

Up till now I've had my system hooked up to a 15" flat panel with max rez of 1024 x 768. I've now changed to a 23" 1920 x 1200 flat panel. The first thing I noticed is that the post sequence no longer displays. I'm guessing that the display rez of the post sequence is 640 x 480 and that my 23" panel can not display that. I say that since 640 x 480 does not show up as a selectable resolution in the ATI software in windows. On the other hand 640 x 480 is a selectable option in a game like UT2K4 and displays just fine.
    Any thoughts? Puzzled.

That's not the problem. What is happening is that the startup post screens are not displaying. This is BEFORE Windows loads.

  • Posting cycle when a database error is raised

    hello
I have process train application composed of three page, each page is based on an entity
    1) i fill the first page
    2) i fill the second page
    3) i fill the third page and invoke COMMIT
There is a database trigger Busniess rule on the table of the second entity that raises an error!
and therefore an exception is thrown
To fix the business rule error, a value needs to be modified in the first page,
I assume that the posting sequence has already posted the first entity
The error occured while posting the second entity, therefore, the second entity is not posted to the database, No rollback is issued by the program because i want to allow the user to go back to the first page and fix the error rahter than filling a page again
    my question is
now i have three entities in the transaction list of the Application Module
    1) the first entity successfully got posted and now it not dirty
    2) the second entity is rolled back in the database and i do not know what is status is going to be in the Application module transaction object
    3) the third enitity is never reached
(no rollback is issued by me)
I handled the error and allowed the user to navigate back to the first page, the user fixes the Business Rule violation and commits again,
now a new posting cycle will start
Will the framwork try to post the first entity to the database again, (it is already posted) or it will understand it is already posted and try to update it. it seems it is trying to insert the row again as i am getting PK violation?
I disabled database triggers and repeated the situation where the business rules are enforced using beforeCommit() and setting the jbo.txn.handleaterpostexc, things worked better, but the same database triggers handle other application and i cannot just disable them

    Hi Dhana,
I think it's not possible to use alert. But You can use UDF Marketing document and Formatted Search to show the Downpayment Balance. I'll give you query sample to get the Downpayment Balance :
    SELECT Sum(T0.PaidSum) - sum(T0.DpmAppl) FROM ODPI T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode] = $[$4.0.0]

  • Sequence - cache size ?

I created my sequence to increment by 1 with a default cache size of 20. This works fine as long as all my entries are done in the same session ( n + 1, n + 1... and so on). However, when I exit/return to my app the new sequence begins like: Last n + 20, n + 1, n + 1. . . and so on. Is it possible to reduce the cache size of a sequence?

I'm having this strange codes during POST, by this order: 99 B4 A2 C5. They change fast and the boot is fast too. What do they mean? My computer is working fine (as far as I know) but I'd like to know what those codes are.

Those are simply POST sequence checkdown codes as it progresses to the boot of the OS stage. If it stops on one of them, then it helps to troubleshoot what the problem might be.
Look this up on the Web searches, it should show up so you can download it.

  • Backup of iTunes Library to DVD causes iTunes to crash

I thought backing up my entire iTunes library onto DVD would be simple. iTunes reveals that it will take 3 disks for my library and proceeds to write Disk#1. After requesting (and inserting) a second blank disk, iTunes crashes -- EVERY TIME. Now what? Is this a common problem? Is there a workaround?
I am using iTunes 9.0.1. All my software is up to date.

I'm having the same problem -- Latest iTunes, and I've 'coastered' about 6-8 total DVD+R's trying different options, and I'm on Windows(!).
Otherwise, the behavior is exactly as you describe!
I'm running Vista-64 and the latest iTunes. My Library is about 48GB (12 discs required...). What makes this doubly strange is that once iTunes crashes, I simply cannot eject the disc it was on when it iTunes crashed (usually it's the second or third DVD disc...), and hence the CD/DVD drive us 'locked up'. I must reboot my machine and 'catch it' (hitting the eject button) before the machine gets to the BIOS (while it's still in the POST sequence).
    Any help would be appreciated!

  • New WM storage lcoation problems with 311 mvt.

We are working on new WM storage location. And I have a problem.
When do the confirmation (LT12) for a TO from new WM to a IM sto location (return to mfg line) the stor type 910 PRODUCTION is adding the stock.
I compared this vs an existing WM and when execute the LT12 for the TO the Stor Type 910 PRODUCTION was cleared.
I did a performance trace and I detected that for existing WM the system additional to LT12, it does the MB1B, so that reason the 910 PRODUCTION is cleared.
My question is why for new WM in system trace just show that was processed the LT12 and not the MB1B?
There was something I missed in configuration? or there is a user exit that perform that and needs to be updated to consider the new WM also? why existing WM calls MB1B internally and new WM not?

You probably have a job that executes the IM posting after a WM posting  in the other system.
Usually you post first in IM, then in WM.
If you want it the other way around then oyu have to run a program RLEXIP01
do SE38 enter the program name, click execute to get to the selection screen, there click the blue info button to read the docu.
General docu about posting sequence can be found here:

  • Difference between Queued Delta vs Unserialized V3 update

    Dear Experts,
    I am using 2LIS_02_ITM datasource.
PO is created using a program.
The next step in the program, it can change a field in the PO depending on logic, using a abap command 'update'.
Sometimes, this change is not captured in the delta queue, it seems.
why i say this is the PO shows the field value but BI delta load does not.
It is using Queued Delta now.
I am wondering would changing to Unserialised V3 update help solve the problem since when documents are posted it writes to update table and from there it is processed to delta queue using collection run.
What is the difference between writing to the Extraction Queue compared to writing to Update table? Will using the update table mean abap command 'update' changes to a PO document will be captured ?
    regards
    Pascal

    Hi Pascal ,
The basic difference between these two is how the delta moves from R/3 to BW side .
When we do any transaction in R/3, first the data goes into a Temporary table called V1 Update and from here data moves to Final table (Application)say VBPA,VBRK etc. this is called V2 Update.
After this we have queued delta or Unserialized V3 update at between R/3 and BW side .
    1. Queued Delta
At V1 update data goes to  "Extraction Queue" (irrespective of V2 happen or not). Then when we run a "Extraction Run" program it pulls the data from  Extraction Queue  and sends it to  DELTA Queue  table (called V3 Update) from where it is transported to BW when a delta request is generated.
So if something is saved to application table, also get saved to Extraction Queue ( this is difference with direct delta) and you have to schedule a V3 job to move the data to the delta queue periodically .
    2. Unserialized V3 Update
In this case when data is generated V1 update  takes place and data moves to another table known "Update Table" but only after V2 takes palce. So it waits for V2 update to happen and does not miss any record. After that from "Update Table" data goes to Delta Queue when update collection Run is executed and then  it goes to BW when Delta upload Request is generated.
The difference here is the sequence of document data in the BW delta queue that may be different from posting sequence of data so it is good when sequence of data does not matter due to the design of the data targets in BW.
    ex: Inventory Management.
Hope this will throw some light on the concept you want to understand.
    Regards,
    Jaya

  • Need your expertise

I need to create a "notice board" in my web page. each notice will be posted to a mysql db. I need my web page to always display the latest notice as the first notice and the rest should be below it according to the posted sequence.
    1. How should I do it? (my initial thought was to pull in the data by the PRIMARY ID. But that doesn't seem to work because always when data is been posted to a mysql db it updates the next field not the previous field).
    2. Please advice with any important thing which might be helpful in creating my "notice board". This is how I've planned it.
User input data  >  Updates the mysql >  Data is being pulled in to my webpage using a server side script  >  the latest input data will display on top the rest according to the posted time.
    NOTICE at 3.00PM
    text....
    NOTICE at 2.00PM
    text...
    NOTICE at 1.15PM
    text...

I have a dynamic text field to display the NOTICE.Assume there are 200 NOTICE to be pulled in from the mysql and to be displayed in this dynamic text field. How do I write the code to set a format to display the data? The server side script pulls in the data by the datestamp
    1. I need to display all of them in an organized way.
    2. How will the dynamic text box adjust its size according to the number of data? Can this dynamic text be placed inside a scrollplane so all the data could be seen? (is this the way to do this)?
    e.g.
    Heading 1
    Date/Time
    Notice
    //a space
    Heading 2
    Date/Time
    Notice
    //a space
    Heading 3
    Date/Time
    Notice
    receiveLoad.onData = function(src) {
       var a:Array=src.split(",,");
       all_notice.text=a[0]+newline+a[1]+newline+a[2];
//how to have the space and continue this repeatedly?

  • RAID option missing in BIOS

I am working with one each: the 865PE and the 865G. I have two 120GB Seagate SATA drives attached to the Intel controller. No VIA controller on-board. I am attempting to set up RAID 1 (mirrored), but I'm not able to activate the Intell controller, the option "CONFIGURE S-ATA as RAID" option is not available as shown in the manuals. Both drives do register in BIOS during POST sequence, but I can't figure out how to turn on the RAID controller so I can press CTRL-I and configure the RAID. I have installed the latest BIOS on each board.
Do these boards always have the RAID option, or is it truely "optional" and if so...what is the identifier on the box the says this board has the RAID option on board?
    The white stickers show:
    865PE:

    865G:

Thanks Danny. After a little more digging I found what I was looking for. The answer (for me) was in the white tag I semi-quoted earlier. I left of what turned out to be the important part. The 865PE should've read 865PE Neo2-PLS, where P seems to stand for Prescott, L for 10/100 LAN (F for Gigabit LAN), S for SATA, and the missing letter "R" for ... yes you guessed it... RAID. Oh, and the other letter is I for IEEE1394 (Firewire).
The board I need (and have now ordered) is the 865PE Neo2-PFISR
Again, thanks.    Hope this helps someone else.

  • Reinit steps

    Hi Experts,

    and also
after init and b4 doing delta what update method shld i select?/
    Thanks
    DV

    Hi DV
You don't need to change update modes at every stage. Please select the approriate update mode before you load the delta postings.
    Read following
This is where you specify the type of update used to update the data in delta postings :-
    a) Serialized V3 Update
This is the conventional update method in which the document data is collected in the sequence of attachment and transferred to BW by batch job.
The sequence of the transfer does not always match the sequence in which the data was created.
    b) Direct Delta
This is where the extraction data is transferred directly from the document postings to the BW delta queue.
The data is transferred in the order in which was created.
    c) Queued Delta
In this mode, extraction data is collected from document postings in an extraction queue from which the data is transferred into the BW delta queue using a periodic collective run.
The transfer sequence is the same as the sequence in which the data was created.
    d) Unserialized V3 Update
This method is largely identical to the serialized V3 update. The difference lies in the fact that the sequence of document data in the BW delta queue does not have to agree with the posting sequence. We therefore recommend this method only when the sequence that data is transferred into BW does not matter (due to the design of the data targets in BW).
Most commonly used update mode is Queued delta also supported by it's advantages.
