What is Linux 5? Centos, RHEL or Oracle Linux? It looks like you are missing some software requirements. Copying the library to the Oracle home directory might circumvent some issue, but you should not experience such a problem in the first place. Something is wrong.
Did you try to install libaio? e.g. yum install libaio-devel libaio
In case you are using Oracle linux, setup Oracle public yum and install: yum install oracle-validated. This will completely prepare the OS for Oracle database.

  • Postinstallation tasks errors

    Hi,
    this is what i did.
i created a new database 10.2.0 on linux server, then run companion cd on db home.
    i executed the follwing script
"select comp_name, status from dba_server_registry" and i got all schemas as valid.
then i run the following scripts
    utlrp.sql
catalog.sql (i thought this is needed for export/import utilities)
then i installed the TOAD on my client machine.
but somewhere down the line something got the database messed up and i got so many invalid objects in many schemas.
and when i tried to run the views
    dba_server_registry and dba_registry, i was getting errors.
so i recreated the database and also installed the db companion components.
now what are the post installation tasks that i need to do.
do i need to run the scripts and what is the purpose to run the following postinstallation scripts.
    utlrp.slq
    catexp.sql
    catalog.sql
do i need to run the postinstallation scripts before or after installing TOAD. when installing TOAD what are the precautionary steps i need to follow.
    Can someone help me please.
    Thanks,
    Philip.

the oracle installation documentation says to run utlrp.sql as postinstallation task.
and the utilties document says to run catalog.sql or catexp.sql before using export/import utility as shown in the link below.
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/exp_imp.htm#i1004716
i recreated the database and i figured out that the invalid object creation happened when i run catalog.sql script and not when running other scripts.
do i really need to run this catalog.sql script or what else should i do to avoid this invalid object creation error.
    Thanks,
    Philip.

  • Getting error when LDAPSync is configured on postinstallation of OIM

    Hi All,
While performing LDAP sync in OIM-AD integration, we are facing issue for loading of  LDAPContainerRules.xml.
We have done all configuration as per oracle documentation on LDAPSync for OIM 11gR2 : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/integration.1112/e27123/oid_oim.htm
We have performed following  steps mentioned in this document  in our OIM environment.
3.1 Enabling Post installation LDAP Synchronization
3.3 Creating Identity Virtualization Library (libOVD) Adapters and Integrating With Oracle Identity Manager
The OIM environment we tested is the latest OIM version OIM 11gR2 PS1 (11.1.2.1.0).We have checked on oracle support also, but there same bug is mentioned as harmless and can be ignored for OIM version 11gR1 onwards.
But when we create any user in OIM, it is not getting sync in AD system.Even though MDS import of  LDAPContainerRules.xml as mentioned in above doc is successful in our OIM environment we are getting error logs as :
<Error> <oracle.iam.ldapsync.vo> <BEA-000000> <An error occurred while determining the LDAP container.

Is there any configuration we missed ,because of which we are getting this error. Even we have checked with System Properties for LDAP sync ...but they all are fine and having default values as mentioned in Oracle doc. Please let us know any helpful pointer on this.
    Thanks,
    RPB25

    This issue is resolved now.
metadata import for LDAPContainerRules.xml did not happened properly under “/db” location in OIM env.
As per oracle document,http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/integration.1112/e27123/oid_oim.htm, we were importing metadata from em consol.
Instead of this, we imported metadata through weblogicImportMetadata.sh utility  keeping all files under “/db” folder structure. This resolved the issue.
But,getting following issue when trying to create user in OIM. LDAP binding is happening, but it is throwing error as follows:
    LDAPSync issue : DN: CN=Users,CN=oracleAccounts,OU=mycompany,dc=contoso,dc=com
      javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 - 0000208D: NameErr: DSID-0310020A, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match of:

      'CN=Users,CN=oracleAccounts,OU=mycompany,DC=contoso,DC=com'
When i googled this issue, similar issue i found and resolution was giving required DN path not full DN with root. But it is not working
    LDAPContainerRules.xml is having rule as
    <container-rules>
      <user>
      <rule>
      <expression>Default</expression>
      <container>CN=Users,CN=oracleAccounts,OU=mycompany,DC=contoso,DC=com</container>

      </rule>
      </role>
    </container-rules>
and IT resource 'Directory Server' have attribute value for searchBase as 'DC=contoso,DC=com'
so,it will try to created user under ,CN=Users,CN=oracleAccounts,OU=mycompany,DC=contoso,DC=com, which is not happening currently.
Any helpful pointer on this ?

  • SM 58 error while posting Idoc

    Hi
I have installed a Netweaver XI  7.0 recently and have completed postinstallation tasks.
Communication between all XI components (i.e IR, ID and SLD is working.)
I am trying to test an Idoc to File scenario and while posting an Idoc from my R/3 system I am hitting upon this error "No service for system SAPD46, client 800 in Integration Directory".
I have scanned SDN forums and came across note 940313 which talks about the registration  of R/3 system on SLD by one of the two methods as below..
    Business system
Activities in the System Landscape Directory (SLD)(Create technical system):
Create a technical system for system ABC in the SLD, and create the client for this. Do not forget to assign an "ALE logical system" (for example, "ABCCLNT123") to this technical system.
          SLD (Business system):
You can now explicitly assign a business system to this client.
For more details, refer to the SLD documentation.
Activities in system ABC (self-registration in the SLD):
Alternatively, you can register the system in the SLD in system ABC with Transaction RZ70. You will find detailed information about the SLD registration of systems on the SAP Service Marketplace for the "Exchange Infrastructure" in the document "Exchange_Installation_Guide.pdf".
In system ABC, you can check your configuration with Transaction SLDCHECK.
Activities in Integration Directory (import business system from SLD):
You will find the business systems under Services Without Party in the Integration Services. In the Service menu, you will find the system identifiers, the client, and the corresponding ALE logical system under "Objects"->"Adapter-specific identifiers".
Use the Import/Update button to copy the data from the SLD, to create business systems, or to update their identifiers.
I have performed activities highlighted in BOLD. But still error is same.
My question from XI Gurus is that is there any way to know if the manual step of registering my R/3 system in SLD  is sufficient (As the SLD bridge for my R/3 system is not configured and I can not use auto registartion.)
Is there any way to check if the R/3 system is successfully registered.
    Thanx
    Lovein

    Hi,
I think it is due to basis problem, at ID one of service is not working.  Please check below mention link for configuration steps
    http://help.sap.com/bp_bpmv130/Documentation/Installation/Configuration_Guide_FP.pdf
Meanwhile check all authorization for IDOC processing, else can't process idoc in XI
For IDOC to FILE scenario follow below steps
    1. Define Logical system through BD54 after that assign logical system to client through SCC4 window in R3 & XI systems
    2. Define RFC destination through SM59 window in R3 & XI
    3. Define Port & partner profile through WE21, WE20 windows
    4. Trigger idoc from transaction code or test window through WE19.
    5. In XI configure SLD under define Product, Component, Technical & business system, it should be WEB as ABAP type.
    6. Import component from SLD to ID window meanwhile import idoc from R3
    7. Define target structure according to ur requirement and map accordingly
    8. Define ports IDX1 & IDX2 in XI
    9. In ID define scenario under import business system and configure steps according to ur requirement. Here IDOC is sender so no need communication channel and sender agreement.
    It will work without fail

  • Database upgrade error

    Hi Hussein,
I am upgrading database in test environment from 9.2.0.6 to 9.2.0.8. Which is on applicaitons 11i. and O/S is AIX 5.3
    I did not run
#slibclean (section 5.10 in readme of 4547809) because prod and test are on same machine. And to run this no oracle instances should be up. (Stupid me i did not care). Now i am encoutering errors like "file cannot move or read file (coz they are locked by lib files)". And i skipped for some files which i should'nt have done.
Now i have got two doubts
1). If i click cancel now(the upgrade which is asking questions like retry, ignore, cancel), do i need to restore backup from before starting upgrade.
2). If i run slibclean (after shutting prod down) will it make my production never usable.

    Hi!
Try to repeat PostInstallation steps for BI Java(Netweaver Administrator - Deploy and Change - Configuration Wizard - BI-Java / Technical configuration of BI-Java (repeatable, reproducible)).
Or you can only try to maintain JCo Destinations, but it is included in step mentioned above.

    Hi!
I've installed BPEL PM without problems on a server where AS already runs. I only had some problems with Step 2: Run the Integration Repository Creation Assistant on the Database. Since I couldn't run the bat files, I manually created shchema and a orabpel user.
Postinstallation Verification Tasks for Oracle BPEL Process Manager in BPEL Process Manager Installation Guide went through OK, so I thought everything is OK.
Then I tried creating new BPEL domain (trying to follow GoogleFlow tutorial but can't deploy because I don't have any domains) and got this error:
    Exception
    Operation failed because:
    Error updating domain index.
An exception occurred while writing the domain index (id"GoogleDomain", ref "1") to the datastore; the exception reported is: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.
    Please check that:
+ the machine hosting the datasource is physically connected to the network.
+ the connection pool properties as defined in the application server startup properties are valid.
+ the database schema for the OraBPEL server has been installed in the datasource.
So I found a similar thread (Strange message when logged in to bpel console where one user had similar problems and solved them by manually running the domain_oracle.ddl script. I did the same, but still can't create a new domain.
One more thing bothers me: if I try to create new domain with the same name I get:
    Exception
    Operation failed because:
    Domain already exists.
A domain with identifier "GoogleFlowDomain" already exists at "C:\OracleAS\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\bpel\domains\GoogleFlowDomain". Please specify another domain identifier.
But deployed domains list is empty.
I'd really like to solve this. Maybe a new BPEL PM install would help but I can't execute step 2 of preinstallation tasks. If I execute the line from irca file
    java -classpath %CLASSPATH% -DORACLE_HOME=%ORACLE_HOME% oracle.tip.install.tasks.IRCA %*
    I get
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Files\Java\jre1/5/0_06\lib\ext\QTJava/zip
Any kind of further instructions would be much appreciated.
    Regards!
    BB

    Hi!
It was the Step 2 (preinstallation steps): Run the Integration Repository Creation Assistant on the Database step that was causing all of my problems. I figured out why I couldn't run irca.bat file.
The problem was in java home that was in C:/Program Files/Java... Looks like java or oracle (I don't know which) still have problems with spaces in directories names. When I installed Java to C:/Java/..., I could run IRCA and after reinstallation of BPEL PM everything is working as it should.
Maybe this will help someone else.
    Bye

    Regards,

Check out status of components from dba_registry. In case you are not using JVM in your database and only java component is invalid, then you can ignore the error. Else you will be required to load java manually. Check metalink for same,

    ERROR at line 1:

    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_UTILITY", line 321

Can someone help me to fix these above errors.
    Thanks,
    Philip.

    Hi,
the oracle installation documentation says to run utlrp.sql as postinstallation task.
and the utilties document says to run catalog.sql or catexp.sql before using export/import utility as shown in the link below.
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/exp_imp.htm#i1004716
i recreated the database and i figured out that the invalid object creation happened when i run catalog.sql script and not when running other scripts.
do i really need to run this catalog.sql script or what else should i do to avoid this invalid object creation error.
    Thanks,
    Philip.
