Power pc system reinstall

I've overwritten my hard drive 7 times and want to reinstall leopard, what is the correct procedure so the person I sell my computer to can set it up?

If that means you used the security option in Disk Utility Erase tab to write zeros over the entire drive, that's good.
I would then start up from the Mac OS X installation disc and run a standard system install. After it restarts into the new system, it should go to the setup screen. Shut down from there, and it should go back to that point the next time it is started.
(If possible, you should include the original discs that came with the iMac.)

CS3 and system reinstall problem

I have had to reinstall the system on my MacPro. Reinstalled from the disc and then updated to 10.5.6 using the combo updater and everything seems to be working again.
I understand when you do a system reinstall that it doesn't touch any 3rd party applications.
I opened Photoshop and discovered that no matter what I type (font or size), it is pixilated and all jagged.
The other Adobe programs I have don't have this problem.
What am I missing to cause this problem? Any ideas?

I would start by trying a New User (on the theory only Ps is hosing that font).

I don't know if you can see what's on my screen, but I definitely can't see what's on yours.
To Install Word, buy it and follow the instructions.

I see no printers available in the Print & Scan area. If I click "+" it seems to see the scanner, but never the printer. HELP!

The printer component uses a different protocol to advertise itself on the network compared to the scanner component and it can take several seconds longer to appear after the scanner has.
That said, with the introduction of AirPrint, the MG should be seen as Bonjour Multifunction in the Add Printer window, as shown below.
Selecting this Bonjour Multifunction entry will create a printer using AirPrint and a scanner using the iCA driver.
So do you see the MG5220 as Bonjour Multifunction or just Bonjour?

System Reinstall Impact on iPod and iTunes

I directed my question to the support, but im not sure if they are going to reply on this.
I have Inspire P5800(72W total rms power) and the power adapter says 3,5 ACV, 5000mA which gives 67,5W (3A x 3,5V).So how they power 72W system with 67,5W adapter?
5W is not that much, you say, but how about this:
I was reading reviews on T600 and i just found that it has the same adapter as P5800 - 3,5 ACV, 5000mA which gives again 67,5W but the difference here is bigger since these speakers have 6W more rms power which gives more than 10% power loss due to the adapter.
So here are my questions:
How can creative supply different speaker setups with different wattage with the same power adapter?
Why they didnt mentioned anything about this?
Why they limit the systems by the power adapter? Trying to save money? Trying to cover bad speaker quality?
Also im wondering if there are other models affected by this issue too...

Early generation Time Capsules suffered from heat issues, but later versions do not run nearly as hot.
As a frame of reference, if I put my hand on my 4th Generation Time Capsule for 10-15 seconds or so, I notice that it runs at about the same temperature as an AirPort Extreme that I have nearby.
I second LaPastenague on the Time Capsule. It was designed to function as a backup device, so this is likely the best use of the product for most users.

Alert "Power sub-system degraded or failed" won't close automatically after power restores

we have SCOM R2 and HP server in use.
we installed HP server MP.
each server has two power suppliers, one to UPS, one to Commercial power.
but there is always Commercial power outage, after which alert "Power sub-system degraded or failed" will arise.
when power restores, this alert won't close automatically.
Below please find alert properties,
there is no "Aoto-resolve" attribute, I suppose this is the reason why this alert won't close automatically after power restores.
but I want this alert to be closed automatically by SCOM after power restores, could anyone help me?

It looks like this particular alert is generated by a rule, and that rule simply generates an alert whenever certain events are detected in the event log. A rule that alerts on the creation of an event does not have the ability to close based on the
detection of a second event.
If this is the behavior you are looking for you would be best to create your own monitor as opposed to this rule, as you can create a custom monitor that alerts on one event or events and closes when another event or events are logged indicating things are
healthy again.
Once you have your custom monitor setup, you would then want to disable this rule that was built into the hp management pack. You can also look to see if the hp mp has any contact info that you can reach out to and ask for this feature to be included
in the next update of the mp, but for now i think your best option is to create a custom monitor that alerts on one event and closes on another.

Z40-70 compatibility issue with your power management system

I noticed today that the Action Center says "Compatibility issue with your power management system." The description underneath is: Your power management system isn't working peoperly because a compatible driver is not available for this version of Windows. When I click on View message details it just says "Your computer was unable to download the solution at this time. Check to make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, and then try to download the solution again later." All power related functionalities however seem to be working. Battery is charging; battery percentage is showing; I can adjust screen brightness. I am not sure when exactly this problem started but it defenitely was not there before. Tried downloading and fixing the Power Management Software and updating BIOS. Still have the same message. System: Windows 8.1 64-bit

Hi,
After downgrading form win10 back to 8.1 due to endless driver malfunction and a significant decrease in overall performance, I got this message in windows action center: “Compatibility issue with your power management system”. When I click on it it says: This solution could not be downloaded
Most likely causes:
• Your computer was unable to download the solution at this time. Check to make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, and then try to download the solution again later. As you can see, my internet connection is fine. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks,

Satellite A660 Win7 action centre - Power management system is missing driver

I replaced the battery on my A660-15J Toshiba laptop a few months back with the high capacity battery and now the win 7 action center keeps popping up with the message that I need to download and install the missing power management system driver.
The power supply was not replaced at all, nothing has changed, other than the battery.
The charge light on the laptop functions as it did before the battery change.
It comes on and is red, and after a couple of hours it goes white and the battery level shows it is at 100%
The problem is that windows 7 action center says that it is missing an ACER driver??? -> WTF???
The link that it gives to download it from DOES NOT WORK
It seems strange to me that the link that windows provides its to an acer website, but since manufacturers use parts from others manufacturers it does not surprise me at all.
I just want clarification and confirmation of what I need to do here, and why the toshiba service center is not showing this update???
I read that BIOS update can resolve this issue, however there is NO bios update for my laptop.
I have also contacted MICRO$OFT but I'm still awaiting a reply from them.
I have also read other posts on various toshiba forums that relate to this same problem but they usually say that model is not supported by toshiba in that country....
I clicked the link to this forum directly from the Toshiba Australia website, so please don't tell me that my model is not supported on this Toshiba Europe forum!

Security passlock should impose on power off system because once the iphone is lost and the theft could not power off the iphone easily thus we still get a chance to locate our iphone

As we all concern about our iphone location once it is not within our capability to reach. "Find my iphone" is a very good features for finding lost phone but once the iphone is being power off by the third party, the features would render useless. Therefore, I strongly suggest the passlock system should be intact together with the power off system. We spend a lot of time to unlock our screen for the security purpose why not the power off button? It would not that as much as time for us to power off but it increase the security purpose.
