Powerline adapters not working

On returning from holiday Monday afternoon I found that, although I could flick through the TV channels, there was no program information being displayed. I powered down everything and restarted it. Eventually an error message was displayed (C01).
I think I trcked the problem down to the powerline adapters as no lights came on. I tried them in another socket and still no joy. I also noticed that one of them was making a whistling sound. In fact it has been doing that for the past month.
I logged a fault and received a reference number 110530-004293 but since then I have heard nothing.
How long am I likely to have to wait before I can watch TV again?

Had the same problem. One of the powerline adapters had failed (The one the Vision+ box is connected) , no lights showing.  Called BT help line on 08001114567 on Friday 17th and got to talk to an operative pretty quickly.  After consulting his supervisor I was advised a new pair of powerline adapters would arrive Monday or Tuesday (20/21). Arrived yesterday Monday.  Plugged them in today and the BT Vision box would not connect until I had reset the home hub and the Vision+ box.  Now seems to be OK.  Excellent service from BT.
MY PROBLEM is I also have a third powerline adapter which connects a computer at the other side of the house, wwfi is no good too much iron in the bricks and there is also a steel girder in the line of the signal.  This powerline adapter is of the previous type Comtrend Power Grid 902 and the new ones are Comtrend Powergrid 9020, these appear to be unique to BT.
CAN ANYONE ADVISE ME IF I CAN RESET THE OLD TYPE (POWER GRID 902) TO MATCH THE PG9020 TO KEEP THIS COMPUTER CONNECTED TO THE HOME HUB.  I have the instructions 'How to add a new Powerline to your existing network' for the PG902 but do not want to try it in case I mess up the setting on the new Powergrids.
Perhaps the BT Administrator could answer this.

  • Powerline adapters not accessing sleep mode

I've just upgraded to BT Infinity, and since the router and PC are now in different rooms, and my PC doesn't have wireless, I bought some Powerline adapters, one connected to the Hub and one connected to the PC.  However, even when the computer is switched off, unplugged and disconnected from powerline, the unit connected to the Hub won't go into sleep mode - it flashes regularly once per second as if it's communicating with the Hub.  Is this likely to be the case, and if so, how can I stop it?  The units I'm using are TL-PA251KIT.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The home hub will still keep transmitting data as it continually sends broadcast frames to discover new devices and find their MAC addresses, which it then stores.
This will stop the powerline adapters from going into sleep mode. The only way to stop that would be to unplug them from the hub, and eventually they would go into sleep mode.
I doubt very much that they use much power anway.

  • After Windows 10 Pro N succesfull update all Network Adapters not working and not showing up

Hi all, After succesfully installing the new Windows 10 Pro N onto my Windows 8.1 Pro N operating system and restarting the system, I realized that all drivers are migrated succesfully, withouht any incompatibility issue, but none of the network adapters were working, so no WiFi, no LAN connection was ready to be used, checking the list of available network adapters showed an empty list. I am using a ThinkPad T520 laptop. I have tried to update all drivers from a USB, had several restarts, but no result. Any ideas I could use to get Windows 10 up-n-running with network connections? Thank you in advance, Regards, Gyula

    Stop and start channels
    Inactivate and Activate channels

Where can I continue looking on these errors to find the issue?
Any help will be very appreciated!

The error indicates that the channel has been stopped. Did you check the administrative logs in the comm channel monitor to see if someone or an ATP schedule has stopped the channel?

  • MacBook 13" White Model: All MagSafe Adapters Not Working

    Greetings!
I've recenlty received a second-hand MacBook 13" White laptop. It was a gift from a friend and said that he wouldn't be needing it anymore.
The problem that came with the laptop was that it had no HDD since it was already taken out due to damage about a year ago. So after receiving the MacBook, I quickly went to get it fixed and had the HDD replaced, or rather put a new one in since it was already empty. Afterwhich, I installed Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard and I was good to go. This happened in less than a week ago.
But now, just a few hours before I made this post, a new problem came into view. Now my MacBook 13" White laptop won't charge at all. As in the battery is working, but when I used both MagSafe adapters that I have, none of them would light up and the particular laptop wouldn't charge. I double checked three (3) times, used both adapters, but nothing. I even tried restarting, removing the battery, putting it back in, but NOTHING.
I'm sure the issue isn't with the MagSafe adapters nor the outlets because both adapters work perfectly with the MacBook Pro 17" 2011 and MacBook Black 13" 2008 laptops that I have.
Could the issue be due to it not being used for a long time?
Could the issue have started when I had it fixed? If so, why the lag in time-frame before the problem occured?
Any good and related suggestions would really be of great help. Thank you and more power to all of you!

    HI,
    Boot from your install disk.
Insert the installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger and later) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
*(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)*
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart

  • Third party adapters not working

I bought two different adaptors for my iPhone 5 (to be able to use my old 30-pin cables) and I am pretty sure they worked when I first used them. However, after the latest iOS updates for the iPhone 5 and the iPad 4, neither adaptor works. My devices will not charge with wall chargers (nothing happens when I plug them in, not even the warning "Not Charging"), nor are they recognized by the computer if I connect them to it.
Any thoughts, suggestions, or similar experiences?

Apple sells these adaptors.  When you purchase third party adaptors, you do so at your own risk.  You might check with the seller or manufacturer.

  • OVD -  configuring multiple  adapters not working

    Hello
I have an OVD (11.1.1.6.0) installation on Linux. I have configured two LDAP adapters (Oracle_Internet_Directory) in it.
Now when I try 'ldapsearch' to test the connection, I see that users from only one ldap server is getting authenticated.
For example lets say I have adapters A and B configured in OVD, and when I check authentication with only 'A' in active status, it works fine.
Similarly , if I disable A and activate B, then authentication from B works fine.
But if I activate both A and B, then only one of them is authenticating. Any clues on what could be going wrong?
I am completely new to Oracle virtual directory. Played with it a bit, but with no luck :(
To give you some more details about the setup, both the LDAP adapters map to the same domain (data and hosts are different). That is, the 'root' and 'remote base' of both adapters are same (like dc=a,dc=b,dc=com)
    thanks
    T2

    Hi T2,
If you have properly configured the LDAP adapters in OVD; then you should be able to authenticate against both LDAP servers.
Is it possible for you to search for users in ODSM User Interface after you add both LDAP adapters?
If you are successfully able to search users from both adapters then you should be able to authenticate as well.

    Vishnu Mahajan

  • Multiple magsafe adapters not working with multiple mbps

I have two retina macbook pro 13" laptops, the more recent one being a late 2013 model.  Neither one of them seems to respond to magsafe adapters consistently anymore (i've used four magsafe2 adapters and both machines).  light doesn't come on or sometimes comes on.  currently, i can sometimes get power but in the "not charging" state.  But if i pull the adapter and reseat it doesn't always even do that.  i've reset the SMC and also reset the PRAM.  Neither one has changed this.  Any thoughts?

I'm having a similar issue, but cannot see anything to do with airplay in the SysPref > Sound menu.  My mac is too old to run Yosemite, so looking to find another way to get this fixed.  Any ideas?

  • Can someone recommend a powerline adapter that works w/ Airport Express/AirPlay?

I recently purchased the Netgear Powerline 500 Nano PassThru Dual Port (XAVB5602-100NAS) and it works fine when I connect it to another computer in my house, but when I connect it to my 1st Gen airport express to use AirPlay through my stereo receiver the connection fails and it disconnects my internet connection over my entire network. Any suggestions? I'm trying to "hardwire" my network to my stereo because i'm getting frequent disruptions running it purely via wifi.

Let's start over, please, working from the cable modem outward.
It sounds like Express A is working fine right now with the cable modem Ethernet cable connected to the WAN port on the Express A. Test to confirm that the wireless is working on this Express.
Plug one powerline adapter into an AC socket near the location of Express A. Connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN port on Express A to the Ethernet port on the powerline adapter.
Plug the other powerline adapter into an AC socket near the location where B will be located.
Test to make sure that the Ethernet powerline adapters are working correctly.
To do this, temporarily turn off the wireless on a laptop and connect the laptop directly to the powerline adapter near the location of Express B using an Ethernet cable.
See if you can get an Internet connection on the laptop this way. If you can, then that confirms that both powerline adapters are functioning correctly. If you cannot get an Internet connection this way, more troubleshooting will be needed before we can proceed with the installation of Express B.
Post back on your progress. We'll need to know what operating system you arre using on your Mac or PC to be able to provide instructions to configure Express B.
If you have a Mac, but do not know what operating system it is running, click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Click About This Mac, then look for the OS X Version number and post back with that info.

  • MacBook Pro 13 inch mid 2012 Mini DisplayPort VGA Not Working

I am using a 3rd party adapter that has worked a couple of times but now when I try to use it my computer freezes up until I unplug the adapter. My 3rd party DVI adapter works fine and the VGA adapter works with my windows 8 partition (used it tonight  for my presentation, how sad, bought a Mac and had to use windows still).
    I have ML 10.8.2
Please help, I need this to run my presentations

I've seen a number of posts here recently about Thunderbolt/Mini Display Port to VGA adapters not working. It just seems as if Mountain Lion doesn't function well with VGA any longer. The only thing that I can suggest is to continue to use the DVI port if it works.

  • Powerline Adapters problem

Hi there, my powerline adapters have worked perfectly until today. For some reason I lost internet connection so tried to reset the adapters, which I am sure has now made it worse!
On my adapter connected to my home hub I have all three green lights on (AP, Ethernet (Flashing) and Status) and on my powerline adapter near my computer I only have the Green Status light on.
I have no internet connection and my computer doesnt even seem to be recognising a network.
I have changed all the ethernet cables with no help. Any help and advice would be great.
    Cheers,
    Adam

That points to a faulty Ethernet connection between the Powerline adapter and your computer.
Have you checked to make sure that both ends of the cable are pushed hard in until they click. They should be held in place by a clip which you squeeze to release.
If the clip is missing or broken, as easily happens, they you will have to replace the cable.
If the cable looks fine, then try another cable.
Also check that the Ethernet adapter on your computer is still enabled. Its quite easy to disable it by mistake from the network properties.
If all else fails then it could be a faulty Ethernet port on the Powerline adapter. You can prove this by swapping them over and seeing whether the Ethernet light works at the other end.

  • Why are the Radio Adapters that work on my iPod not working with my iPhone?

I had purchased an adaptor to plug into the bottom of my iphone to play the music from my iphone of my radio. I purchased one of the adapters and it worked for a month then it stopped working and the iphone quit playing the music over the radio... However it showed that it knew a device was plugged in. I have tried 2 more models and have had the same problems. Is it the iPhone?? I am confused as to why it is not working... Below is one of the three products I tried
