i am having a very simple Problem and i find now solution:
In Line 2 I write some objects into the variable $vApplictaionDetect
In Line 3i want to add some more objects (it my script it will overwrite the current content)

I would like to automate a network printer install that uses secure print. I can push the actual install out through group policy, but I need script that will assign each persons unique ID number to the printer settings.
Get current user name
Check that user name against a spreadsheet or .txt file list. This list would have hundreds of unique user names in column A, and a unique ID number in column B.
Example:
Column A (username) Column B (ID Number)
User 1
123456
User 2
789101
Write the ID number in column B to a specific registry value.

You would use New-ItemProperty or Set-ItemProperty to write a registry value. New-* will allow you to set the value type (you can use -Force if it already exists). Here's an example of using Set-*:

Add values to one variable in a loop

Hello,
I have a while loop where I read a counter and get values.
Now I want to add all values to one variable. I think an array won't be good because
the loop can run a long time and an array is limited.
And the end I want to have the sum of all values.
I tried to use shift registers.
But how can I store the value of the first loop-cycle in a variable and on
the second loop-cycle take this stored value and add the new value and so on?
Another problem that is maybe more difficult, is that I need the max and min value
of all values that has been read.
That means I need a variable which stores the current value. Then I have to compare the stored
with the next value and maybe exchange both.

Attached is a picture of a code that does what you want; it calculates the sum of each value, it finds the minimum and maximum (and average)...and it does not create any arrays.
The value source and the condition to stop the loop is what you need to change...In addition you might want to see preliminary values...if so then add indicators inside the loop.

Displaying the value of an variable on the stage

I have managed to display the values contained in string variables on stage, and I am happy with that, however when I wish to display the value of an int and convert it to a string as one is supposed to do the output to the stage just calls it [class int] and does not give its value. any suggestions?
My rogram contains a stage at frame 1 which displays a word. The user must input a word. Frame 30 then displays the word which was displayed and the word input by the user. That all works fine. But the value of the variable NumberRight, which has been assigned to that variable will only display as [class int] without showing its value. (even though I have converet it to a string using the .to string function you see below).
My code is as follows;
trace( "The number correct was" + NumberRight); //This works fine in the output window and shows the value of the variable as NumberRight [class int]1 (showing the value to be 1)

Yes I have managed to overcome that problem it was some code on the first frame, please excuse, however, now, is there any way to remove the [class int] bit from the displays, I wish to have the results as a clear copy of the results so that they can be printed out, without [class int] all over the place?

Hi Ned thanks for that. Yes I had accidently created blank spaces in the String() argument. (wanted to check if there was a subsequent difference in display and forgot to return them to normal ...Sorted )
Your next suggestion has eliminated the [class int] but I get a value now of 0.
My code on the first frame for a correct response for example is;

many years ago I wrote this same program in Authorware using similar code. I am trying to re write it in FlashCS5 using ActionScript 3 and It take days to solve small problems. I notice also that If for example the user of the program makes an error and I record the error as NumberRight =NumberRight -1 the program records it as Total Correct = NaN .
I gave up on this a few months back but I am trying again. I think there must be a better way to do this. Variables do not seem to add up or subtract for me at present. no doubt its me thats got it wrong.

Energycrystal is a predefined variable in the beginning of package with public var energycrystal:int=10000; and what I like to acomplish is when a button is clicked the variable energycrystal would add the value of changeval to it. But I can't just do positiveevent[0].effectvar+=changeval because it would increase effectvar not energycrystal. I want to know how to do this because I have different effectvar like reputation and stuff. Is there a way to do it?

I´m not sure if I understand your problem, but you can always rewrite if/switch statements like this:

I am displaying the data by dragging the ViewObject from the AppModuleDataControl to the View.jspx page and selecting the option ADF Read-only Table. My ViewObject has a single variable :empId. Now is it possible to change the value of this variable with a value that comes from the request object. On the internet I found the following code:

Did you add a break point and debug the code to see what is the value for the :empid parameters passed in to your view object?
If you are sure you have passed in the correct value for ":empid" parameter, then do the following:

How to use the value of a variable to set another variable

Hello Experts,
Is it possible to access the value of variable set by the user and set the default value of another variable using the user entered value for the first variable? Example:
Date variable
Week variable
Month variable
User enters one of those and the other two are automatically prefilled with the correct values?

Passing value to bind variable of another table from one table

hi,
I have a multi select table. When one row is selected from this table (no button is clicked, only selection is done), an attribute from that selected row (say userid) should be passed to the bind variable of another table and the corresponding details of that particular userid should be displayed in the other table. When more than one row is selected, the other table should display no rows.
My main problem is what code has to be written to pass value to bind variable and where it should be written.
Please give me a detailed explaination as soon as possible.

Purchase order release strategy with a characteristic value as a variable

We have Purchase order release strategy based on the following characteristics:
Total Net Order Value
Purchasing Organization
a few other custom fields
We would like to add a characteristic based on the creator of the PO. In the purchasing department there are two person which have the authorization to create an release POs. The goal is now to check if the actual user, who release the PO, is different from the PO creator. The value of this characteristic may not be a fix value, it must be contain the name of the actual user name.
Is there are a possibility to insert the characteristic value as a variable such as SY-UNAME instead a fix value?

this is verymuch possible. You can use unsed fields user1, user2 etc in CEKKO or (ii) insert a new field in CEKKOZZ and use the new field. You need to build up logic in user-exit such that this field will take the value of person who had logged in. This can be done by ABAPer.

I tried to add a new action in the page definitions --> bindings --> insert inside binding create new action --> and then choose the data collection --> select an Action as "ExecuteWithParams" --> in the Value field I put the value e.g. 'APPROVER'.

I have query regarding BEx Authorization for the given selection screen of any variable for any report :
I have two parameters/variables( Category and Sub Category) which needs to be passed from User. I want to restrict the value of second variable corresponding to the values passed in first variable. For e.g. : if i passed Category value -Engineering ,Sub Category variable should only show the value related to engineering only other than all the values in sub category field in the selection screen for the user.

                               Arts : sociology philosophy etc
                               Commerce: economics, accountancy etc
Now Maintain authorization for Char. related to Engineering and create Auth. variable, follow this steps:
Transaction Code- RSECADMIN
Steps to create Authorization based on Division e.g. InfoObject    is 0DIVISION.
Check for 0DIVISION, it must be Authorization relevant checked, if not then maintain 0DIVISION and check Authorization relevant box.
Step 1: Create Analysis Authorization Maintenance using RSECADMIN T-Code, in that add 3 special characteristics i.e. 0TCAACTVT , 0TCAIPROV and 0TCAVALID, these are the mandatory Char. along with that add 0DIVISION for which you want to create Authorization, 0DIVISION details restrict value as 01 (EQ 01).
Step 2: Again goto RSECADMIN -> User tab-> Assignment, enter username (e.g. User1) which you want to restrict. insert Auth. obj. from step1.
Step 3: Now in Query designer, create Authorization variable for 0DIVISION, i.e. process type Authorization.
Execute That query with restricted user (e.g. User1) it will only show the data for Division = 01.

Multiple values for one variable?

I've created my first set of variables (using Form Properties>Variables), tweeked some XML sourcecode and they're working .
What I'm now trying to figure out is how to have one variable that has 2 values that pop up in 2 different text fields.
Simple form at this point:
Item, Model and Service Tag.
The user selects the item from the drop down list and the Service Tag field is autopopulated from the variables I set.
How do I get the Model to appear based on the Item selection?
I tried putting the two values for one variable together but both values appear in the same field.
Variable info that works: Scan (variable) = MC3090BT (value)
I also need this particular variable to = Handheld scanner (try to ignore the redundancy).
I attempted to make MC3090BT as it's own variable with Handheld scanner as it's value, and add to the code below but it didn't work.
Here's some of the code if it helps:

Hi, I am trying to do the same thing..passing multiple values to receiving query variable through RRI. Right now if I assign a query variable of type multiple single values it does not take any value. It works only if I assign variable of type Single Value.
In my assignment details the sender query has Generic for type and * for selection type.
If any one knows how to pass multiple values to receiving RRI query, please give the details.

How can I add a watch to a variable or expression during javascript debugging

Since the new update to safari 6 I am looking for a way to add a watch to a variable or expression during javascript debugging. I don't want to go to the console line every time to type in the separate variables and expressions over and over again. Also hovering over a variable doesn't show the value.

I couldn't find the answer either (I submitted an enhancement request to http://www.apple.com/feedback/safari.html in hopes that it will get added back in), but downloading a nightly build of webkit (http://nightly.webkit.org) will give you an alternative version of Safari that still uses the version 5 inspector, which to me is preferable anyway.
