POWL Adding TAB to Existing POWL Travel Assistant

Hello - (First time to post because my head is exploding),
   I want to add a tab to the travel assistant POWL so that they can see credit card receipts.  (Wonder why this wasn't done initially because our TA's have to go in and actually create a report to see if their employees have receipts yet....ridiculous!)
   Anyway - the reason why my head is exploding:
   I'm using the existing application ID of FITV-POWL-TRIPS-ASSISTANT.  I've created a new "Z" powl query to add via all the config and now I'm using the reports to check it.
  POWL_D02 - I created a type named ZFITV_POWL_TRIPS_CCC_ASSISTANT with a feeder of CL_FITV_POWL_FEEDER_TRIP_CCC. 
It says my query ZFITV_POWL_TRIPS_CCC_ASSISTANT is not active (type FITV_POWL_TRIPS_CCC w/CL_FITV_POWL_FEEDER_TRIP_CCC)
QUESTION:  How do I activate it???  (I'm debugging this now - will write a good wiki once figured out or with help from friends!)
POWL_D03 - Tells me the below.
QUESTION:  Tells me that the "Q" type isn't assigned to the application.  Ok - I've been through all the steps several times.  What is the trick here.  My TEST shows the changed tab order as I made the CC 1st; Exp tab 2nd; Req tab 3rd; Travel Plan tab 4th;  These are ordered differently now w/exception of my new CC tab not showing up.

Ok - I've figured out via debug (yeah) that an entry had to be added to the table POWL_TYPE_ROL with applid=FITV-POWL-TRIPS-ASSISTANT and type=FITV_POWL_TRIPS_CCC even though my type is ZFITV_POWL_TRIPS_CCC_ASSISTANT.
Again - a wiki is coming soon.
Debug is always the answer it seems.
Just need to adjust the data in a class that I'll have to enhance in order to bring back CC receipts of the person being selected....

    I not understood properly ur requirement.
    You  want to add a custom POWL query in an existing POWL application?
    Go to POWL_COCKPIT, Select your POWL_APPLICATION.
    Create POWL query.
    And While Registering the Query just mention the category in whcih you want it to display.

    Dear Expert,
    I'm Using POWL Travel Assistant for switch personnel number, but the problem is i  select employee from list the it would error " Infotype 0001 does not exist for " I already make sure that the person do have 0001 & 0017 and all other prereq infotype are there. And if i ignore the error and create new travel request, nothing happen. But if i run POWL using se80, the error still show but i can proceed to create new travel request. Could you shed a light here?

  • Exit Button in Travel Assistant - Area does not exist message

    My client is on EHP2 for SAP NW 7.0 SP15 & EHP5 for SAP
    ERP 6.0 SP12. I believe the portal is also in the process of being upgraded
    from 7.01 to 7.4 (although the issue I am having occurs in both new and old
    portal systems).
    The Homepage Framework was originally customised for Travel
    Management to use predominantly Z* Area Group Pages/Areas etc (rather than the
    SAP-standard config) and is all working fine apart from one issue with the Exit
    button in the Travel Assistant application (FITV_POWL_ASSISTANT).
    Note that the FITV_POWL_ASSISTANT application is called with
    parameter SAP_FITV_EXIT_OP=CallAreaPage. The presence of this parameter means
    the Exit button is available within the application, and the area page should
    be called when the button is pressed.
    When pressing the Exit button however the message “Critical
    Error: Area ZASSISTANT_TRAVEL_ERP2005 does not exist” is raised.
    The Travel Assistant portal role contains the same iViews as
    the Travel Employee portal role, but has an extra iView called “Self Services Assistant”
    which appears as an additional subtab in the portal.
    The parameters passed within this iView are:
    “sap.xss.menuarea=ZASSISTANT_TRAVEL_ERP2005&sap.xss.menuargrp=ZSAPDEFAULTTRA_ERP2005&sap.xss.menuhdr=SAPDEFAULT&sap.xss.menunobuffer=true”.
    Press Exit:
    What I don’t understand is that the area page is appearing correctly
    and the application is called without issue but when pressing Exit the
    navigation can’t return to the area page.
    Can anyone suggest what might be causing this error?

    We do have FIN_TRAVEL_1 active but the business function mentioned in note 1577326 is not.
    In the end the issue was resolved by changing the Link Resource assigned to the ZASSISTANT_TRAVEL_ERP2005 Area Page to a resource with a different portal PCD URL, so that now the correct page is called when Exit is pressed.
    I think the way this Area Page was implemented was not ideal as all other Area Pages in our setup are called from a separate Area Group Page/tab, whereas this one was not.

  • ESS Travel Assistant (WD ABAP): My Employees not consistent for users

    Hi there,
    I've seen a couple threads with the same issue on here - but, no resolution is posted...  We are trying to use the My Employees service in ESS Travel (travel assistant functions).  It appears there are two options for defining the list of employees that the travel assistant can use: 1.) User can build their own list (which is what I can do with my own user ID) and 2.) the list is predefined based on config settings.   I have three other user IDs that do not have the option to maintain their own list.  My Id has the Add/Remove Employee buttons.  The other IDs only have a u2018Personalizationu2019 button.  When this is selected, I can add employees, but it never adds them to the employee list.  We have not done any configuration to determine the list, so I am not sure why there are differences by user!
    This does not appear to be a Security issue.  I added SAP_ALL to the troublesome user IDs and they still did not have the Add/Remove buttons.   Any help/info would be greatly appreciated. Stumped...

  • Is it possible to set up a form with a submit button where the data in the fields gets added to an existing excel file, just like 'collect response' but without connecting to the internet?

    I have a form that I want to use to collect peoples information with a submit button. I am trying to get the data that gets inserted to be added to an existing excel doc when the submit button gets hit, the form then resets and someone else can fill in the same form, hit submit and his data gets added to the existing data in the same excel doc. It is basically the same as the 'collecting response' option but without having to be online. The form is going to be used at a boat-show and I am going to get people to fill it out on an iPad. Does anybody know if this is possible?

    You could connect a bunch of 3700s to each computer and do this . 
    Or...since you're the one who monitors the monthly limit, you could restrict an individual's internet access once you see that you guys are coming too close to the cap.

  • Substitution not carried out when WBS is added to an existing project......

    Hi, I have created a substitution rule to substitute the investment profile in my projects with a blank for any WBS which is not level one.   I am not sure why this rule does not take effect immediately a new WBS is included.  When I try to carry out the substitution manually, I get the error message 'Error when processing asset under construction (AuC) for WBS element'. Any ideas how I can get this substituion to work when a new WBS is added to an existing project?

    You should use the substitution otherway....
    I believe your project is in REL status and also you have defaulted IM profile in the project, so whenever you create a WBSE, the IM profile is inherited to the WBSE and since it is in REL status, the system will create an AUC based on your IM profile and now you are using substituition to remove the IM profile so this will cause the problem...Instead of this....try this...do not default IM profile in project, and instead of removing IM profile for all WBSE which is not level 1, use substitution to write IM profile in WBSE which is only level 1.

    Given that you had a tab navigator declared in mxml like
    this:
    <mx:TabNavigator id="myTabber" selectedIndex="0">
    </mx:TabNavigator>
    you should just be able to call the addChild method, passing
    the child tab containers. So for example, in some ActionScript
    event handler:
    var newTab:Canvas = new Canvas();
    myTabber.addChild(newTab);
    bear in mind I haven't done this by adding tabs, but have
    done tons with adding controls to an application at runtime using
    this method (DataGrids, Grid, GridItems, etc...)

         Okay so alot of people including myself are wondering why the just added tab in itunes keeps disappearing. I don't understand it because that is where I find most of my music that are new and coming in for that week. I don't understand why they simply just can't put it back on there and let people use it!     I don't understand what you mean! It's just the normal behavior addTab and insertTab have! So what do you mean? insertTab remembers the currently selected tab and after adding the new tab tries selecting that one again. Maybe you select the new component after adding it.

    I have added tabs for Order,Order from template and OrderTemplate in header.jsp which are in the form of links in welcome.jsp. I am not able to go back to any of the pages from catalog page. It is giving an error at the bottom of the page saying location is null or not an object.But the same links are working if I am in any other part of the web shop.

  • My recently added tabs are restored only partially after restarting Firefox 4

    browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo;50
    browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo;12
    At some point after that in the following sequence:
    1. most of recently added tabs and some windows didn't restore after Firefox restart
    2. some recently deleted tabs disappeared from "recently closed tabs" in history
    3. ''recently closed windows'' in history disappeared
    Have anybody changed this and got similar problems? Imho, it's history storage related.

    Are you running Firefox in "Permanent Private Browsing" mode?
    You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"<br />

    Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
    * Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
    If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
    Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).

    lets say u have to add fields to standard table  EKPO.
    U can add a customer field in a standard table only for those standard table which has given the provision for adding fields .
    Go to se11 and check out the table. there u will have CI_EKPODB  . "CI " stands for custom include.
    i u can add my field.
    Read the following----
    To add the customer field :
    Go to SE11 --> EKPO -->Display --> then doube click the data element "CI_EKPODB"... it will ask whether u want to create a field ...press YES and then continue with adding the field.. "ZZPAYMENT" in that ...
    Creating the field in the table:
    Give the name of the componenet "ZZPAYMENT" and the related data element (if the field "ZZPAYMENT" is of type CHAR give the data element as "CHAR" and give the needed length of the field say (15)...... then save and activate ur table........ it will show some warnings .... (ignore that) now ur table with the customer field will be ready
