PP module is integrated

How is PP module is integrated with SD?

Dear Maulik,
1.Creating production orders for sales orders using CO08 T Code in case of make to order.
2.Availability checking rule assigned for the order's.
3.Requirements class - Allocating requirement's type to a requirement class.
Requirements classes control the creation of planned independent requirements or sales orders and customer requirements. The following is determined by the requirements class, for example;
the consumption of independent requirements by sales orders
how warehouse stock is taken into account (net or gross requirements planning)
inventory management and cost allocation (make-to-order or make-to-stock production)
the release of the planned order (planning without final assembly)
requirements distribution (configuration)
4.Creating Sales order BOM.
The above are some of the integration between PP and SD Module.

    Dear All,
How is the PS module and SD Module are integrated?
I am thinking  the linjk is only through the WBS element .please guide me if am wrong.
But I am not able to get the data flow across these two modules.
Is there any other setting to be done in the IMG ?
My client scenario needs a close interaction(flow) of data from PS to SD
I am trying to establish this llink through DIP profile and RRB .As i am not familiar
either with DIP Profile or with RRB.In these circumstances i seek your help.

    Hi Ramanujam,
Please find below the complete stuff reg PS integration with SD Module:
SD INTGRATON WITH PS (Project Systems)
PS SD integration happens during Milestone billing...
    Below is whole process-
    Billing Plan for Milestone Billing
Milestone billing means distributing the total amount to be billed over multiple billing
    dates in the billing plan.
As each milestone is successfully reached, the customer is billed either a percentage of
the entire project cost or simply a pre-defined amount.
During sales order processing, the system determines from the item category whether a
billing plan is required and, if so, which type of plan
The type of billing plan that is determined at this point is set up in Customizing and
cannot be changed in the sales document.
Billing plans for periodic billing and milestone billing plans for project-related milestone
billing have different overview screens so that you can enter data relevant to your
    processing.
For example, for milestone billing, you must be able to enter data to identify the
    individual milestones.
    IMG configuration requires:-
    1. Maintain billing plan types for milestone billing in OVBO.
    2. Define date description in SM30 - V_TVTB.
    3. Maintain Date Category for Billing Plan Type IN OVBJ.
    4. Allocate date category in SM30 - V_TFPLA_TY.
    5. Maintain date proposal for Billing Plan Type in OVBM.
    6. Assign Billing Plan Type to Sales Documents Type in OVBP.
    7. Assign Billing Plan Type to Item Categories in OVBR.
    8. Define rules for determining the date in OVBS.
Milestone billing is typically used for billing projects, such as plant engineering and
construction projects. Such projects often include a series of milestones that mark the
completion of different stages of the work. In the SAP R/3 System, milestones are defined
in a network along with planned and actual dates for the completion of work. The milestones
are also assigned to the billing dates in the billing plan.
Each milestone-related billing date is blocked for processing until the Project System
confirms that the milestone is completed.
Delivery-relevant order items for which a milestone billing plan applies are billed on the
basis of the requested delivery quantity and not on the total of the confirmed quantities.
The connection between the project and the sales document item is made in the individual
schedule lines of the item. Each schedule item can be assigned to a network in a project.
To display the project-related data for a schedule line, proceed as follows:
In one of the overview screens of the sales document, select
    1. Item -> Schedule lines.
    2. Mark the schedule line and select Procurement details.
The following figure shows an example of milestone billing where only the Contract have
    been billed :
    Order Item Turbine 100,000
    Billing Plan
Billing date Description % Value Billing Block Milestone Billing Status
    01-10-94 Contract 10 10,000 - x x
    01-03-95 Assembly 30 30,000 x x
    01-04-95 Maintenance 30 30,000 x x
    01-05-95 Acceptance 30 30,000 x x
    01-06-95 Final invoice .. .. x
    Network/Activities
    Milestone Estimate Actual
    Assembly 01-03-95 01-03-95
    Maintenance 01-04-95
    Acceptance 01-05-95
For each billing date in a milestone billing plan, you can specify whether the billing
    date is:
    1. fixed
    2. Always updated with the actual date of the milestone
    3. Updated with the actual date of the milestone, if the date is earlier than the
planned billing date for the date
Following is the SD & PS integration scenarios where milestone billing & Periodic billing plays the important role for these integration:
Milestone billing is typically used for billing projects, such as plant engineering and
construction projects. Such projects often include a series of milestones that mark the
completion of different stages of the work. In the SAP R/3 System, milestones are defined
in a network along with planned and actual dates for the completion of work. The milestones
are also assigned to the billing dates in the billing plan. The connection between the project and the sales document item is made in the individual
schedule lines of the item. Each schedule item can be assigned to a network in a project.
    PS-SD Integration as below:
    A) Billing plan, at each WBS element, network and Activity level.
B)DIP profile which is assigend to item category. DIP for resource related quotation works only with ECP ( easy cost planning).
C)sales pricing - generally, there r 2 types of sales pricing in PS . lumpsum contract and unit rate contract.
D)BOS - bill of Services. which has to be activated. It is industry specific solution. If BOS is activated you also have integration for vendor RFQ and Analysis.
Further pls provide ME ur mail id , will mail some zip files regarding integration of SD module with all other module including PS.
Project System(PS) works for any project e.g construction, operation or any large projects where project management tools are required. it integrates all modules may be like MM for vendor process or for RFQ etc or say may be SD for Resource related quotation with the help of DIP profile or Milestone process etc. IT is largely used in construction projects. IT helps in controlling the whole of project from one single screen and it works with 3 elements WBS element ( work break down structure), Network and Activity.
Please go throgh this Please check this links perhaps they may help.

  • Kernel module or integrated

I should  probably read Linux Kernel in a nut shell but I didn't have the time yet! Is there some improvement in building certain feature or driver inside the kernel instead of module? For example if I now that my machine has a Broadcom B43 wireless, should I build it into the kernel instead of module?

If you compile modules that are needed for booting (such as filesystem modules) into the kernel, then you don't have to use an initrd image. This can speed your bootup a little (a few seconds for me).
What I've done for my current kernel is compile into the kernel the majority of modules that are always loaded anyway (wireless, USB, iptables etc) with a few left as modules that only get used rarely (NTFS, VFAT) or might be required in the future (all the crypto modules). There shouldn't really be much of a difference, but it just feels cleaner to me to have fewer modules Of course, one advantage of leaving stuff as modules is that it becomes easy to load/unload/block certain modules.

  • PM Cross module integration

    Hi Seniors
I am new in SAP PM module, and currently in an implementation project. Since I dont have any senior and I have given a task to do the IMG configuration and this forum is the only hope.
I need few inputs very urgently, kindly assist.
Kindly guide me how PM module get integrated with other modules(FI/CO, PP, MM, QM, HR) i.e. what are the main areas in IMG where other modules gets integrated with PM and PM module have dependency on those.
Kindly assist me with detail information.
    Regards
    Manmohan K Bajaj

    Hi Manmohan
Better get some training and/or talk to your employers about your situation. If you do not have any experience in PM I am amazed to see how your employers could put you in such a situation without giving you training or access to a senior person.
I do not advocate that SDN forum be used for sorting out your implementation requirements. If you have any specific question please feel free to ask. You can also search the forum as there are already many good suggestions and solutions for your reference and could fit your business requirements. Also read SAP help.

  • Integration with other modules

    Hi Sap Gurus.
    Hi,
    Plz explain...
MM module is integrated with which modules .
    And how it is Integrated??
How MM module to integrate with CO(Product Costing).
If thr any material please send me to [email protected]
    Thanks..
    Raju

    Hi,
    FI-MM Integration:
    When you go for transactions like GR,GI,SES,MIRO,STO,Payment then your respective G/L account updated.For updatinging the G/L account, You have to go for Automatic Account determination and steps are as follow;
1.OMSK: Creation of valuation class and assigning account category refrence,
    2.OMWM: Active valuation Grouping Code,
3.OMWN: Active movement type with G/L account,
    4.OMWD:Active valuation Area,
5.OMWB: Active chart of account, transaction key, valuation grouping code, account grouping Code, valuation Class and G/L accounts.
Data flow to costing in the concept of cost element.
    SD-MM Integration:
Generally SD is integrating with MM in Stock Transport Order (STO) and Third Party Order.
Basically STO is divided in to three types,
    A.STO with SD delivery
    B.STO without Delivery
C.STO with SD delivery and billing.
    FI-SD Integration:
    In T.Code:VKOA
    If helpful then reward.

    HI Manoja,
    a) Integration between Sales Order and  Inventory module.
While creating sales order due to Strategy group in MRP3 view of material master does an availability check and determines the first date of availability.
b)Integration between delivery and  Inventory module.
At the time of PGI (Goods issue)
Cost of Goods Sold is debited due to configuration in OBYC GBB T-Key To Inventory Account
c)Integration between Invoice and FI module.
In account assignment(that reminds me of your previous que CONDITION TECHNIQUE is used for Account Determination as well)
    Tcode VKOA
Also when Billing document is released to Accounting
Customer Account is debited for the amount in Invoice.
and credited to Sales Revenue Account
Hope this clarifies to some extent
    Post for further clarification

  • Organisation Structure and Other Modules

    Hi
I would like to know if each and every sub-module has a structure for itself or do they use the structure we create in OM.
    E.g
Organisation Structure gives me a structure of the Org Units. I want to know if the same structure would be used by SD/Financials/MM etc
    Appriciate your valuable answer
    Rgds
    Aravind

    Hi,
HR contains all data related to HR system, similarly SD MM contains data related to SD MM. All the modules are integrated in SAP. Now come to your question. Org Structure should be same for a client in different module.

  • Integration FI-CA and FM-BCS

    Hello!
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
To integrate FI-CA (for utilities) and FM – BCS SAP offers derivation rules in customizing. The system derives fm account assignments assigned automatically from business transaction data. To determine fund center in business partner item in billing document or invoice, payment and so on… we can’t use standard derivation tools according to transaction FMDERIVE because source fields contain only company code, division, period key, sub transaction, main transaction, account determination ID. It is a great problem that we need to use cost center to derive fund center, because derivation rule «cost center – fund center» in connection with FI-CA doesn’t work.
    Thanks

    Hi Anastasia,
We have ISU, FICA, FM and others modules in integration. We are in testing now
    Please create this following derivation
    from
    Company_ code
    FM_area
    Division
    HVORG
    TVORG
    Account_number  and initial value autorised
    target fields
    cmmit_item   ovewrite with new value
    Fund
    Fund_center
fill in all the values you use for FICA
    example
    division  07
    main transaction 0200
    subtransaction 7117
GL account here it is the GL reconciliation account of the business partner
Commitment item  434406 ( for sales)
    Fund 7700
    Centre financier 77071
you can test it in FMderive switch trace it works
For us it is ok it is the only solution for derivation FICA with FM
Here we have to enter manually all values for example we have 752 entries
    good luck
here we have other problems with EA19 invoice and KEU5 closing CO PA
the system does not find any fund

  • Integration Connection Issue (Need help!)

    Hello community,
I have some issues enabling Cockpit with widgets in SAP Business One. I'm running SAP Business One 9.0 PL10 64-Bit I can enable Cockpit with widgets just fine. It's running on default SQL instance (had some issues with named).
Everytime I try and log in to the demo database, I get the following error:
All services are running, so I wen't into Modules > Administration > Integration Service > Integration Administration. This opens up a website, which I login with the user "B1iadmin" succesfully. I then go to B1if Admin > SLD > SBODemoUS > B1DI > Test Connection and I'm receiving this error:
    com.sap.b1i.adapter.dia.exception.ConnectionFailedException: java.lang.ClassCastException:class java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:null incompatible with class java.lang.Exception:null
    1. I've tried installing both Java 7 32/64bit, Java 6 32/64bit and Java 5 32/64bit.
    2. I have check up on the JCO Path: C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One DI API\JCO\LIB
    3. I have checked up on c:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One Integration\DIProxy\diproxyserver.properties path: JCOPATH=C:\\Program Files\\SAP\\SAP Business One DI API\\JCO\\LIB
    4. JDBC Test Connection is succesful:
Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong? I'm more than willing to provide more information of my setup, simply ask.
    Please advice.
    Kind regards,
    Thomas Schmidt

    Hello Teun,
    Thank you for your reply.
I installed DI API 32-bit, changed the path to JCO to point towards the (x86) path. It now complained about the username and password for the B1i user, so I changed the password and changed it in the integration administration configuration and the connection is now succesful.
I then launched SAP and no longer had an error upon login. When attempting to start a cockpit window, it asked for the installation of Flash player. Since I'm on Windows 2012 R2, which comes with Internet Explorer 11, it just says that Flash Player is embedded in the browser now. But since I'm on the server version, it's not, so I had to install Desktop Experience through Role and features.
Anyways, it's all functioning well now.
Last question; Why does it not work with DI API 64-Bit when both 32 bit and 64 bit comes with JCO?
    Kind regards,
    Thomas Schmidt

  • DMS integration with PP and PS.

    Hi SAP PLM experts,
I would like to know how mySAP PLM's DMS module  is integrated with PS and PP module.
Any small scenario with T codes and configuration help is highly appriciated.
If you guyz have any documents/materials for this question, please mail the same to sudhu03 at gmail dot com.
    Thanks in advance,
    S.Achar.

It is only through the object linkwhich you provide.
In the business perpective, we attach the contract documents, design drawings and other doucuments to the project for ready referance.
You can create the DIR directly from PS transaction or you can create it in DMS and attach it to the Project.
We do have the red lining to identify teh changes reqd in the document.

  • Seminor on Integration

    Hi frnds,
This is srikanth of SAP FICO Consultant iam interested to write an article on Integration of SAP FICO nodule with all other modules.
So i need details of all SAP modules how and why are they integrated with SAP FI module
    Ex:
    Integration with:
       SAP FI with CO
               FI with MM
               FI with SD
               FI with PP
               FI with BI/BW
FI with Asset Accounting and etc.
I have onle metioned only some module names, i would also be grate full the above metioned information eloborately.
I would also be thankfull if it is in the form of word doc or any link which helps me to get the information of above mentioned topic.

You need to find out the URL of the server? Since you are saying that the application will be deployed on a server, I'm expecting the Middleware and the flex aplication to be on the same server.
In order to find the URL of the appication you can use the following every time,( where ever you deploy this application, you dont hav to worry about the URL) Ofcoz the result wil be something like
http://someurl/path/file.swf     you have to tweak a little to this string to get the actual server url. Let me know if I did not understnd the question correctly
    FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.url;

  • Oracle Warehouse Builder VS Oracle Data Integrator

    Hi everybody,
I have a question that wish you can help me.
we have systems of x64 so we cant use Oracle Warehouse Builder (only support on system 32 bits), someone recommend us to use Data Integrator but i don't really know this application.
Anyway ODI 11.1.X.X could it be installed in x64:
All Oracle Fusion Middleware products that are indicated as certified on x64 processor based Oracle Linux 5.5 or 5 Update 5+, 64 bit operating system, are also supported on Exalogic X2-2.
What's is the different between OWB and ODI?
I read about it and see that ODI is powerfull and it apply "Data Quality" better than OWB, is it right?
Is it possible to exp/imp with metadata loader move metadates between OWB and ODI?

    Hi,
well, the basic difference is hard to tell. ODI is based on so called knowledge module. This are implementations for physical access to all kind different database technologies (among ohter things). Therefore ODI used to be more flexible extracting data from different database technologies and also writing to them. But with OWB 11.2, these knowledge modules were integrated into owb as so-called template mappings. OWB has a stronger integration with the Oracle database and an Oracle database is always required. Oracle plans to integrate these two tools into one some day, whenever that will be. ODI offers more options for data quality (that are charged extra).
So technically, the two tools are not that different. They have different user interfaces anyway.
A big difference is the license. A basic version of OWB is included with the database license, so it can be used without extra charge. Most of our customers are using this version, even for large dwh implementations. If you buy am ETL license (or already have one), you may use both tools.
Before you decide on one of the tools, make sure you have enough manpower with the required skill available - internal or external.
    Hope this helps,
    Carsten.

    Thanks & Regards,

    hi,
there is nothing like only one is good because all the modules are integrated so we need to know all.
in ur case better go with the one on which u dont have much knowledge becse u can learn new subject.
anyways u will get knowledge on all with experience.
    all the best.

  • FI integration configurations

Hi, I needed the areas where configurations are required by a FI consultant in the FI module for integration with other modules. Would be great if someone could throw light on this!

    <b>FI MM Integration:</b>
FI to MM integration is happen at OBYC, there you will assign GL accounts for Transaction Keys like BSX(Inventry), GBB. You will specify the Valufatin Modifier, Valuation class and assign the GL account.
Materials are maintained at Plant or Company code level, that is nutting but Valuation Area, A Valuation Area can be a plant or a Company code. Copule of Valuation areas is group and name as Valuation Grouping code/valuation modifer, and to this valuation modifier and valutin class we assign GL account.
So, at the time of inventry posting of particular material, the system will check its Valuatoin Class, then determines Valuation Area, and finally selects the GL account specified and updated in that particular account.
That how the integration with MM happen.
    <b>FI to SD integration</b>
FI to SD integration will happen at VKOA. we will assing GL account to the transaction key like ERL(Sales Revenue)WRX(GR/IR) account etc.,
