PP01, New Record Creation, OCC Error

Hi Guys,
I am getting an error when i try to create a new record in PP01 -> Jobs.
When i delimit the existing record and then create a record, i am able to create the record.
But i don't delimit the existing record and directly create the record, I get an error saying OCC type 001 is valid for date range 01/01/2009 to 31/12/9999.
The Date range which i enter in the period is well within the range given. But still i am not able to create the record. When i debugged this, I found the begin date and end date is not getting populated.
So, Can anyone please help me through this.
Does the program automatically not delimit the existing record and create a new one ?? Or should we manually delimit it ?
Please respond.
Thank you.

Hi Vin,
I didn't get the issue. Which infotype you are tring to delimit? The Object?
Have a look Tcode PO03 too. I hope this help you otherwise I recommend to share screenshots of issue.

Omid

  • How to stop new record creation when mouse click

    Hi,
I am working with Oracle Forms 6i.
I have a multi record block. I have provided a 'New' button that the user should click when a new record creation is required. This is because there is some other function that needs to be performed when the new record is created. Specifically, on clicking the new button, the program populates the field with values read from another table. This works fine.
However, I realized, that if the user clicks on the mutli-record block just below the last record, a new record gets created. This action does not cause the logic behind the 'New' button to execute and the record is created in a manner that is not acceptable.
First question is why does the new record get created only by clicking with the mouse with the pointer below the last record? Is there a way to stop this from happening?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Shailesh

    Hi Andreas,
Probably I was not able to explaing my problem.
I have a button that creates a new record when clicked. The button's trigger has the CREATE_RECORD statement.
When a new record is created, I need to copy values from the record above it. I have therefore used DUPLICATE_RECORD in my block's WHEN-NEW-RECORD-INSTANCE trigger.
    I cannot use DUPLICATE-RECORD in WHEN-CREATE-RECORD trigger.
So, I am not clear about what you are suggesting.
My problem is that a new record gets created when click with my mouse pointer below the last record in the multi-record block. Why does that happen and how to prevent it?
    Thanks
    Shailesh

  • Forms 6i automaticlly create new record (I don´t want it)!

    When we are working in forms 6i it always validate new record creation, when you click into any field or when you do a Do_Key('next_record');
But I want to does not validate it, when I´m passing from records and when I click at any blank field. How to block it to only enter in create record mode if make explicit Do_Key('Create_Record'); built-in tag?
I have tried to use on-error mode to validate messages with error_code but doesn´t work.
    Thanks all for patience. Cya!

coz every time the message box raise ask me to save current datas, I don´t want it.Usually, when you move a cursor into a new record, the record status remains 'NEW', but validation triggers (When-validate-item and When-validate-record) will run as you tab through the fields.
If these triggers set any values in any of the columns of the row, even setting a value to null, the record status changes from 'NEW' to 'INSERT' and that is why your form is asking if you want to save your changes.
So what you need to do is check each of your validation triggers, and make sure they do not set any values needlessly. In your situation, I do this at the beginning of each validation trigger:
      If :System.Record_Status = 'NEW' then
        Return;
End if;The Return causes the validation trigger to stop running before it sets any values in the record, so the record status remains 'NEW' until the user actually keys a value into one of the fields in the record.

  • Error in message monitoring while creating new record in R/3

    Hi All,
I am getting the following error in message monitoring while creating a new record from SAP Mobile client.
    Service name: Validation_Service
Message: BackendKeys are not filled in table HEADER returned by getDetails
I am passing some random number from Client to SAP R/3 create function module.
When i pass the same value in create FM as in message monitoring. I am able to create the record successfully,
Corresponding to newly created record, i can see the data in getdetail header also.
Not sure why this error is coming.
    Appreciate your help!!
    Thanks & Regards
    Devendra

The CREATE FM should not only create the entry, it should also EXPORT the key that it uses to create the entry. Is it doing that?
i.e. the CREATE signature is usually something like:
    CREATE_BLAH
      IMPORTING header TYPE header_row
      EXPORTING key type header_row-key_field.
So the 'key' here should be filled by the FM and returned to DOE.

  • Error occurs during Asset Master Record Creation.

    Hello SAP Gurus,
The error occurs during asset master record creation.

    Hi,
have you generated the period controls properly? If not, the error is raised correctly by the system.
To generate period controls go to:
IMG Asset Accounting -> Depreciation -> Valuation Methods -> Period Control -> Generate Period Controls    / or you can use OA84

  • Receiver JDBC: Error while doing the Deleting and Inserting new records

    Hi All,
I am doing Idoc to JDBC scenario. In this I am collecting & bundling different type of Idocs and then sending to the JDBC receiver. My requirement is to delete the existing records in the database and insert the new records. I have configures as mentioned in the link
Re: Combining DELETE and INSERT statements in JDBC receiver
In the above link its shows for single mapping. In my scenario I am using multi mapping for collecting idocs in BPM. If I configured for normal mapping then it is working fine(Deleting existing records and Inserting new record). Whenever I am using multi mapping then I am getting following error in the receiver JDBC communication channel u201CError while parsing or executing XML-SQL document: Error processing request in sax parser: No 'action' attribute found in XML document (attribute "action" missing or wrong XML structure)u201D . Can you please tell me what might be the problem.
    Thanks & Regards,
    T.Purushotham

    Hi !
    check this out:
JDBC - No 'action' attribute found in XML document - error
JDBC receiver adapter: No 'action' attribute found in XML document
It appears that the inbound payload (the one that is going from XI to the JDBC adapter) does not have the requiered tag to specify which SQL action to execute in the receiver system. Maybe the multimapping is not creating the desired output message format.

  • Cancel the creation of a new record from a tree-form

    Hi all,
We have an application with a tree-form interface. On the form is an option to create a new object (e.g. Employee, as an analogy). We would like to provide a way to cancel the creation and return to the previous selected node/employee; e.g. with a cancel button.
    How can we accomplish that?
We tried to use the standard bindings rollback as an actionListener (#{bindings.Rolback.execute}), but this doesn't work as expected. The employee on the form is not the same as the selected one in the tree, but always the first one. After deep investigations it seems that the synchronization mthod
JhsPageLifecycle.restoreRowCurrencies tries the synchronization with the (now obsolete) key of the new record.
This gives the impression that rollback can be used to rollback changes on existing objects, but not to rollback the creation of a new record. So we're looking for another approach; any suggestions?
    Ciao
    Aino

    Hi,
problem does not seem to be solved after all :-(
As I wrote in the first post, the rollback tries to synchronize, using the id of the new row (that we retrieve from a database sequence when the viewrow is created).
Any suggestion how we can synchronize with the 'selected' row?
The strange thing is that it seems to work when we create a 'subordinate' (like create an employee from a department page), but it does not work when we create the same object (like a department from a department page).
    Ciao

  • Error adding new records in an user table

    Hi
I'm trying to add a new record in an user table, and after calling the add method I get the next error message:
"Generating this document requieres numbering to be determined for the document".
I've defined my user table as Master Data, and the source code is as follows:
    dim m_UserTable as SAPbobsCOM.UserTable
    m_UserTable = SboCompany.UserTables.Item(UserTable)
    m_usertable.Code = NewValue
    m_usertable.UserFields.Fields.Item("U_FIELD1").Value = NewValue
    if m_userTable.add() <> 0 then
      SboCompany.GetLastError(lngError, strerror)
      SboApplication.MessageBox(strerror)
    end if
    Thanks and Best Regards
    Dani

    Hi Dani,
when you create a user Table as "Master Data", this table becomes a part of a UDO (User Data Object) that you have to create too.
In the version 2004A, you don't have the possibility to enter information in these kind of table using the DI. You can only do it thru the application.
You can look at a post called "Access to UDO via DI" posted 16th December 2004

    Hi Anwar,
As suggested above enable the trace, This would help you get the exact and detailed error.
    Steps:-
    1. Start the trace
    2. Reproduce the Error
    3. Stop the trace.
    4. Look in the log file and search for error.

  • Error when inserting a new record (Ctrl+Down)

    Hello,
    [http://img402.imageshack.us/my.php?image=12846351.jpg]
Here the problem is : when i press Ctrl+Down (Insert new record), i enter data into all those fields, but i got an error
Cannot Insert Record ("ROGER"."NUME") cannot be null (roger is my username which i logged on). And i completed all fields
Also, when inserting data into fields, when i click on another field, it points me back automatically to the last completed field, then when i click again on the next field, i can enter data in that field. why the cursor cannot be on the next field when i first click there?
i changed the property of the items Required = No (but however, in the database cannot be null).
    Please help if you can.
    Thanks

For your other issue, with null fields on your forms.
have you ever tried to log those fields value into a log table?
A better and simple idea is:
Create a temp table, with four columns: seq, section, message, type
Where section is the column to condition any search you want to make
message is the column to write anything you want
type is the column which holds the tpe of the record, like info, debug, warn, etc.
    then create a database procedure
this procedure must recieve the section, message, type and insert them into the log table and do commit.
in yiour pre-insert trigger [forms level] or in your when-button-pressed or even better on your on-commit trigger [forms level]
    write the following code:
    begin
    database_procdure('MY_FORM_NAME', 'THE VALUES ARE: 1='||:1||' 2='||:2||' 3='||:3, 'INFO');
    end;
After that you can do a select in your sql*plus with the following statement:
    select *
    from temp_table
    where selction like 'MY_FORM_NAME';
then you can track if any of the values you think is null or has a value, in fact, has a value.

I dropped my mac pro. The disc drive plays but will not record. medium drive error. How hard is it to replace the drive my self. i see screws on the bottom. Could I just order a new internal drive and replace it? Or is it too complicated for the average person? Would be cheaper to buy an external drive than to replace internal one? Any advice is appreciated

How certain are you the superdrive ONLY is at fault?
That depends on your skill level, if you grew up tearing things apart and putting them together, its absurd how easy it is.
For some however its too daunting.   On a general skill level for the "average" person its about a 3 out of 10 in difficulty.
    Can you order same? yes.

  • Siebel Error when creating new record

    Hi,
We are getting the below error everytime we are trying to create a new reocrd in the Siebel WebClient Pharma8.0.
"A Record that contains identical values to the record you have created already exists. If you would like to enter a new record , please ensure that the field values are unique. (SBL-DAT-00381). "
Everytime I try to create a new Account or contact or new instance of a workflow I am getting this error.
Also this error only occurs when I login to client as 'server' , if I login as a 'local' it doesn not create any error while creating a new record.
Could this error be because of the Database or does it have to be with the Siebel Client Installation.
Please help if anybody has faced such an issue before.
    Thanks :-)
