PR Created with reference to Work Order

Dear Experts,
We have Work Order Process where Purchase Requisition for Material & Services are created with reference to Work Order . We have chosen the Option (from release), which means PR is created once the Order is released.
Our requirement is always from release and when the work order released, system to pick the user details of Work Order Creator (not Work Order Release).
Hope to get the details on the issue.
Regards,
Sahu

Dear Chaitanya,
When the work Order is released, system creates the Purchase Requisition and in this case PR Creator is the person who has released the Work Order.
In Work Order log, we know the details  such as, who has created the Work Order and who has released. As SAP standard, Work Order release person is the PR Creator as we have made the setting with From Release.
Our Requirement is on PR creation, system to take the user details of Work Order Creator. This would help to determine the PR approval process in a better way.
Regards,
Sahu

  • Enable - Create With Reference in Sales order

    Hi All,
I want to enable - Create With Reference in Sales order
We have 1 billing doc type YX1 to be used as reference for a sales order type ZX3
How to enable Create with reference from Sales Document type YX1 to Sales Document type ZX3.
Currently, I am getting error 'Copying from sales document type YX1 to ZX3 is not supported'.
Please let me know the steps to be followed.
    Thank you!
    Regards,
    Shanu Jain

    Hi,
The error clearly suggests that there is no copy control maintained b/w invoice YX1 and sales order type ZX3. You need to maintain that in SPRO > Sales and Distribution > Sales Documents > Copy control for sales documents. (You may check the correct node here). Here, you select the billing document to sales document.
Check for source and destination. You can take the source as F2 and CR (if ZX3 is a credit Memo request) as Destination document. You can copy the same and change the source and destination as YX1 as source and ZX3 as destination. Then, at the item level, if you have a new item category you can specify it as the 'Proposed Item Category'. Save it.
Now try to create the sales document ZX3 w.r.t YX1... It should work.
    Hope this helps
    Thanks

  • Create with reference button - sales order

    Hi,
This question applies for sales order creation.
When a sales order is created cand 'create with reference button' is selected, system automatically defaults to quotation field?
Is it hard coded that way or can we change it to a different default field Inquiry document number?
    Thank you

    Hi Pradyumna,
I was replying to a specific question whether we can default to inquiry document number and gave my answer to that specific question.
My system has copy control settings for IN to OR which I presume to be a standard copy control settings in all systems.
As suggested by Ravi, we can add this in copy control table in case it is not available in system.
Regarding your next point, I don't think that is the reason why system is defaulting to quotation.
The reason is because of field 'SD document categ' in sales document type (transaction VOV8).
If you assign C- order, then system would default to Quotation field when you use create with create reference button.
If you assign K - Credit memo request, then system would default to Billing field when you use create with create reference button.
If you assign H - Returns, then system would default to Orders field when you use create with create reference button.

I need to create a new PM order with reference to a PM notification, as in transaction IW34. Does BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN support passing in an existing order and notification? Couldn't see it myself, nor could I see a definitive statement in the documentation stating that this isn't supported.
    We are on R/3 Enterprise.

  • Sales order create with reference to contract order

    Hi,
I am trying to create a sales order with reference to an
existing contract order. I have given the contract order and clicked on the selection-list button to select the items I want to copy. It listed the items, but I am not getting all the details of the item. Material description (VBAP-ARKTX) is not coming.
Is it related to config? This is happening in my quality system where as in my development system, I could see the material
    shorttext appearing.
Please let me know how to proceed.

  • Pr created with reference to PM order , carries Net price in valuation tab

    Hi ,
when a PR  is generated with refernce to a PM order automatically upon PM order releae, our observations are as below
For a particulat purchasing group " Net price" is defaulted under valuation tab of PR and in some cases for another purchasing group " Do not adopt " is defaulted .
may i know if there are any settings related to purchasing group  , user id specific for teh above values to be defaulted.
these PM ordesr are created with refernce to contract and therefore we want theatthe Po should carry price from contract instead of carrying the price from material master .
When the Pr is defaulted with " net price " , the po picks teh price that is maintained in material master instead of teh price in contract
However when " do not adopt " is selected , the price in po is picked up from contract and it ignores the price in PR which comes from material master.
we want " Do not adopt" functionality to be always on for the prices to picked only from contract.
    Kindly suggest

    hi
try to chang eprice from item level condition tab (click on price update )

  • Re: Creating credit memo with reference to Sales Order in ICWC

    Hello gurus
I am new to CRM and we hv ECC 6.0 & CRM 6.0 in our environment.
We have a process where a Credit Memo Request is created with reference to a Sales Order.
Now till this point we had launched VA01 in the ICWC and were creating the CMR with reference to the Standard Order.
Henceforth we want to move this to the CRM ICWC.
In ICWC we create Standard Sales order using Work Center IC_BT_SLO tied to the Navigation profile.
I am looking for some way of copying this order to a Credit Memo Request in the ICWC.
I tried adding the Complaints button on the navigation profile ... however it creates a new CMR ... not sure how to enable copying it from the Original Sales order in ICWC
    Any thoughts ?
    Thanks

There is an OSS note <a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/370988">Note 370988 - BAPIs in SD: Creation with reference</a>
    <i><b>Symptom</b>
This note describes the problems of the 'Create with reference' function when using BAPIs to create sales documents.
If you are working online, you can use this function module to create a sales document with reference to an existing sales document or a billing document (for example, a debit or credit memo request) according to fixed rules. The rules for transferring information from the source document to the target document are defined in the copying control on header and item level. The creation with reference permits an item selection.
When you use BAPIs in SD, a function of this type is not fully available. A reference is only possible for a quantity contract, so that the target quantity of the contract can be reduced by the order quantity of the sales document. Furthermore, the document flow is also updated.
As an alternative to 'Create with reference' in Transaction VA01, two variants are provided for solving the 'Create with reference' problem in the BAPI.
          1. Create a '1:1 ' - that is, a document copy of a sales document (customer quotation, order) with 'BAPI_SALESDOCUMENT_COPY'. At this point, you cannot create the 1:1 copy of either a billing document or a delivery.
          2. Create a sales document that refers to an existing document with 'BAPISDORDER_GETDETAILEDLIST' and 'BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2'.
    <b>Other terms</b>
    BAPI_SALESDOCUMENT_COPY, BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE, BAPI_CUSTOMERINQUIRY_CHANGE, BAPI_CUSTOMERQUOTATION_CHANGE, BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT1, BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2, BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDATA, BAPISDORDER_GETDETAILEDLIST
    <b>Reason and Prerequisites</b>
As of yet, no method exists for creating a sales document that refers to an existing document.
    Solution
    For solution No. 1
          1. Create the documents using the BAPI_SALESDOCUMENT_COPY function module. However, this only permits a 1:1 copy without factoring out individual items.
          2. After you have created the document copy, you can use a change BAPI to edit this copy.
    For solution No. 2
          1. Collect the data for the reference document (for example a customer quotation) with the 'BAPISDORDER_GETDETAILEDLIST' function module. In the example code, focus exclusively on the partners, items, schedule lines and conditions.
          2. Prepare the Data. Execute the 'copying control' manually. This way, you decide which values are to be transferred.
          3. Create the sales document using the 'BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2' function module by transferring the prepared data.
          4. Finally, you must remove a COMMIT WORK so that the sales document can be written into the database.
An example of solution 2 is attached as a text file. You are allowed to select items and quantities for example, if you use input parameters. If there are no entries, then transfer 1:1 from the reference document. When you enter the 'condition type' parameter, you can determine whether conditions are copied or recalculated ('G' for transferring from the preceding document; 'B' or ' ' for re-determining, and 'C' for re-determining with transfer of the manual elements).</i>

  • Order - create with reference - more information in Item selection ??

    Hi all:
We are using "Copy control " from Quotation to Sales order..., it works OK.
But we are facing a problem now... The user used to copy all Quotation as 1 SO and now they need to choose the specific items.
So, they using  VA01 -> Create with reference -> Item selection ->  "Then Choose items"
But the screen only has information about  "Item/Material No./Material description and Open quantiry"... not enought for user, they need more info like Plant, batch ... to choose the item....  any setting can make it??
I have tried "Table setting" and IMG but found nothing !!
I know we can copy all first and remove it, but is there any way we can choose them from "Item selection"...
      Thanks..

    Hi Amit
Thanks your answer and which enhancement do you recommand ??
if there is "easy" enhancement can do it, we might do it otherwise we will use "Copying requirements" only...

  • Error while posting a sales order created with reference from contract for

    Hi,
I am posting a sales document( Type: WA)  created with reference from contract document(  type wk2) for delivery.  The item category in the sales order of the Item is WAN. On posting this document for delivery I am getting the error as "Item category WAN is not defined".  Please help me out how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks
    Jayant

    Hi Jayant,
I think its value contract releated error,
You suppose to check material item category group through T.code-MM02 into sales2 tab and maintain VCIT,
and do item category assignment through T.code- VOV4.
    plz.maintain like that,
    WK2 -          -VCIT-         -           - WAN(contract item category),
    wk2  -          -        -VCTR-          - WAN((contract item category),
you should also maintain same against your standard Sales Document type and for Standard Item category into VOV4,
    WA(standard docu.type) -VCIT-                             -                -TAN(your standard docu.type item category),
    WA(standard docu.type) -         -VCTR(item usage)-              -TAN(your standard docu.type item category),

  • Sales Order CReated with Reference

    Hi,
I created a sales order with reference to an existing order. I created delivery based on the new order that was created with reference. HOwever, if i try to get the sales order number of my delivery, the sales order that i am getting is the sales order number that was referenced. How will I retreived the new sales order number from VBFA?
    Thanks,
    Louisse

    Hello,
We can follow the below Procedure to get the Sales Order Number from VBFA Table.
    1. Input the Delivery in VBELN field to get VBELV (Sales Order)
        Number with VBTYP_V = 'C' (Order).
    2. Now, if the Sales Order which is fetched is the one which is
referenced, then Input the Sales Order Number again in the
VBFA Table into the Field VBELV and fetch the Sales Order
Number (New) in the VBELN Field with VBTYP_N = 'C'.
    3. You should be able to satisfy your requirement.
    Hope it was clear.

  • Remove Header text from a sales order, created with reference to quotation

    Hi all,
I have a sales order(in VA01) which is created with reference to quotation (in VA21).
If header text (Notes for logistics, Note for responsible person, Header text Doc & Declaration) in texts tab is maintained in the quotation they are getting copied in Sales Order which is NOT the requirement.
I need suggestions on how to disable the text that is getting copied.
Any pointers would be of great help.
    Regards,
    Vamsee Priya.

    Hi Nilesh,
I created a routine in vofm and this solved my problem.
Now, I'm having a similar problem where I'm creating an Invoice(through transaction VF01) giving the delivery document number and document type (Invoice F2).
we are maintaining Header text in Order through which the above mentioned delivery document number is created and this header text should get copied in the Invoice.
For this, I went into Transaction VOTXN, from there selected billing header, from here kept a break point for the routine BEDINGUNG_PRUEFEN_001 through which the text will get copied.
Now, when I'm creating the Invoice this routine is getting executed, but still the text is not getting copied.
Any pointers on this would be of great help.
Also at the end of your previous mail, you are telling about SPRO - text assignment. Can you please let me know how to I should navigate to this text-assignment??
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vamsee Priya.
