PR from the Order

Hi,
I have created equipment BOM with only " L " category.
For purchase some material from the order when i execute BOM through structure list (Tab) and select the material, by default " L" category system takes, and Item category field becomes gray.
When there is " N " category (non-stock) then only we can create the PR, but i am not able to change the Item category because it is not editable (Field is gray).
How to change it? is it the standard practice of SAP ? if no suggest me other solution

You can make it as editable in BOM.
Path. SPRO-Plant Maintenance and Customer service - Master data in Plant Maintenance and customer service - Bills of Material - Execute Make User - Specific settings. Execute that. Select line item which may be created in the name of DUMMY and delete the same. Now try in IB01. You can find item catagory as editable.
But you have to specify the User Profile for BOMs for other users.

When running a slideshow from an album it will not run properly if the photos are sorted manually. Sort them by any of the other options, title, date, rating, etc. and it will play correctly.
Send a report of the problem to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.
If you must sort them manually create the slideshow in the slideshow mode in iPhoto, not from an album.

Treatment at the time of "Goods Receipt" so that the stock maintained in Kg and at the same time the purcahse order unit is also to be entered at the time of GR.

the purchase requisition has your valuation, this is not the price you have with your vendor.
The valuation in the PR, is automatically copied from material master, dependend on the price control, it is either the moving average or the standard price, the valuation of your current stock. If MAP then this valuation was calculated by historic stock values and receipts from maybe several vendors.
the valuation is mainly used for the release procedure.

Means I want data in data table for particular time (I want that if suppose today is 13-11-2008 then my data table must contain data from 13-10-2008 to 13-11-2008.
Is it possible thru ABAP development or thru any t codes ?

hi,
Before archiving you have to put the Deletion flag for the object(May be for PO, MMR etc as per your req.)...
After that the you use the archiving procedure to archive the docs which are already flagged for deletion...
For MMR you use the transaction SARA...and its respective object for the archiving....
You can use the SDN search to see the many threads on it...

How to remove the Coupon from the Order.

I am working with order cancellation part ,so I am facing one issue i.e when order gets cancelled I have to remove the coupon from that order and that coupon should be available or used for future.
Please guide me how to do this.

You can fetch the promotion from the coupon to be removed by quering the repository and then remove the promotion from the profile using the method
removePromotion(MutableRepositoryItem pProfile, RepositoryItem pPromotion, boolean pRemoveAll) in PromotionTools component.
Do remember to iterate if there are multiple promotions associated with the Coupon.
Also remember , this might cause some anamolies in the reports as you cannot reprice the order and only we can remove the promotion from the profile so that he can use it once more for a order.

Non stock item requisition from the order

Dear all,
Material is not available in stores,i have enter the item category as N in the maintenance order ,system created the Purchase requisition & reservation of same material which will be further converted to Purchase order.
When material goods inward from the store that material automatically issued against that reservation,
is it standerd process of SAP?
And now when i am checking in IW13, against same reservation system shows 'no material withdrawn'
And in the order withdrawn quantity & final issue tick mark is activated.
what may the problem?

When you assign the item category "N" to component in component tab view, Normally PR is generated & When you assign the item category "L" to component in component tab view, Normally Reservation is genereted.
Against reservation we directly issue the material as it is already available in Store. But for Non stock items we need to convert PR to PO. After receipt of the material & Making GR that material directly issued to order & not going to Store. This is standard process. Also you can view Material availability status indicator as the process progress as PR to PO conversion & As the GR is made.

How to get 'linenum' from the order form matrix

I'v been trying to get this to work for the past 4 hours now and I can't find a solution.
I have a button on the sales order form, when the user clicks on this button a second screen will appear with more information (stored in a usertable).
However to be able to get this information from my usertable I need to have the linenum of the selected line (in the matrix).
I know I can get the 'row' property but this doesn't give me the linenum (wich is the unique key in the RDR1 table).
Also the 'visorder' column doesn't work since I have textlines in the order that can be placed anywhere and can be more than 1.
Consider the following scenario:
Order with the following lines:
Textline
article line (actual orderline) (linenum = 1 / visorder = 0 / row = 2)
article line (actual orderline) (linenum = 2 / visorder = 1 / row = 3)
article line (actual orderline) (linenum = 3 / visorder = 2 / row = 4)
textline
article line (actual orderline) (linenum = 4 / visorder = 3 / row = 6)---- (this line has been deleted)
article line (actual orderline) (linenum = 5 / visorder = 3 / row = 6)
So in total 6 lines.
How do I get the 'linenum' from the last line (note that linenum 4 has disappeared because of the deleted row)?
I looked into using the dbdatasource but with this I gets the entire RDR1 table (for that order) and can't get the linenum (correct one) out off it since the textlines mess up the order.
Anyone know how to do this?

Basically you have a counter that you increment if the matrix line is not a text or subtotal line. This will match the VisOrder value in the RDR1 table which you can use to get the LineNum value.

Unable to delete the attachments from the order header or line

Hi Friends,
when i am saving any short text message through attachments either on sales order header or line, i am unable to delete the same again.
i would like to know that is it a indented functionality of oracle or any setup needs to be done?
Can anyone please look in to this?
We are using 11.5.10.2

If the order or line is closed, then you probably can not delete the attachments.
But if the order line is still open, you should be able to delete attachments.
If you cannot, it might be because your responsibility has a menu that excludes delete function. Try to use one of the seeded responsibilities (such as Order Management super user).

My ipad is 'awaiting payment.' how do I make a payment from the order page? I want to apply for the Barclays credit account

I tried to apply for the barclays credit account but the site messed up and I had to come out of it. I am now in the order page with my ipad awaiting payment.
On the left hand side is my order number, the view/ edit order details link, print invoice link etc but no option to make any payment. If anyone could help I would be really grateful

Can't order from the order book on i photo 7.0 system 10.5.

New user Mac Pro system tiger 10.5 setup an apple account, have pass word correct and name by apple it asked if you want to setup account step one, step two and then no step three to complete on the setup page? any suggestions. I called help line after one hr on my cp was placed on hold for the next available specialist never showed up just background music. Using i photo on the new ilife 08, created my book but that's the extend of it. The first specialist kept asking to look at the bottom of the page for continue but the bottom did not show any additional information or instructions. Its a shame you can't grab the corners and down size the pages like we used too.

Anyone order their iPad from the Apple online store?

I ordered mine from the online store and I didn't realize it would take so long to deliver. I ordered it on May 2nd and its expected to arrive between May 11th - 17th. I called Apple and they said that I cannot choose a faster shipping method. Anyone order theirs? If so how long from the order date did it arrive?

Which model did you order - the wifi only or 3G + wifi? Either way, they were just released to the public and they are selling like hotcakes. Hardly any stores, if any, have them in stock. Apple is having a hard time keeping up with demand.
I pre-ordered my 64GB 3G + wifi model on April 18, just before the cutoff to have it delivered on April 30 so I was in the first group to actually get one. At this point, I would say that 2 weeks is pretty good for getting one.

Customer orders are received via the internet and imported into Oracle Order Management via an open interface table. The customer orders are processed by Oracle OM and converted to Purchase Orders which are then sent to suppliers (as no stock is held at our site). Goods are then shipped directly to the customer by the supplier. We take a commission for the service offered.
Problem
As we take a commission for the service described above, the value of the Purchase Order will be different to the value of the original order received via Order Management, however Oracle Purchasing does not allow you to place a Purchase Order on a percentage basis terms. (we will take a small commission as a percentage of the value of the original order meaning the value of the Purchase Order will be slightly less than the value of the original order). The following scenario attempts to explain the situation:
Order received via Oracle Order Management
5 units @ $20 = $100
Purchase Order created from above order (required scenario)
5 units @ $19.70 = $ 98.5
Our commission @ 1.5% = $ 1.5
Has anyone encountered this scenario before? If so I would appreciate assistance in how to resolve this issue. How can we create a Purchase Order from the order received via Order Management which will have a different value and allows us to take a percentage as commission?

Quantity is different from sale order and delivery

Quantity is different from sale order and delivery.
I identified the Material in the sales order, the item category for this material as BOM.
I have also checked the bill of material display header overview. The Base Quantity maintained as 1000 EA3. The SUBITEM maintained in G in the unit field in bill of material display.
Accordingly i have checked the same for material master's additionl data in Units of Measure tab, it is mentioned the basic unit as 1000 EA3 and alternative unit as 600 G.
My client processed the order for 100 QTY. The QTY for the two sub item is 99.601 each in the sale order.
My client Question is why in delivery the Material Qty is coming as 99.730 and the SUB ITEM is coming as 99.330 EACH.
Note:- The material X is maintained in EA3 in Bill of material header overview. I do no how the sale unit came as G for the Material in sale order.
The other two sub item is perfectly coming as G. Because it is maintained in G in the Bill of Material Display.
Guide me GURUS.

I guess you entered the text manually in the sales order. The Ship-to may not be having any text, but the Sold-to may be and it may be coming from sold to.
In transaction VOTXN, check the access sequence for the text type id and see which one takes precedence - one from customer master or from the order by checking the order of accesses.

Problem Deleting a row from the bottom level of a tree binding

We have the following requirement: To allow user to delete an item on an order (which is the lowest level node in tree) by updating the quantity textbox to zero in a jsp page.
We display a listing of Ad Items for a Department with quantity textboxes. The user enters quantities and clicks on âadd to my orderâ button. The items in which they have entered quantities for are persisted to a database table. The user is then directed to an order summary screen (shown below) where it displays the items and quantities for which they have placed an order for. The quantities are updateable. If the user changes a quantity to zero, we want to remove that item from the Order Items View Object (all VOs described are Entity based).

The updates (setAttribute) is working fine. The deletes (.remove()) is throwing a null pointer exception (see stack trace below).
We also tried overloading the setQuantity method in the RowImple class and called this.remove() if the quantity being passed in was zero, but we got the same null pointer result.
