Pre-ordered available song won't appear in purchased in iTunes?

I pre-ordered One Direction's new album Four, and have received all of the available songs except one, which was the first to be released other than "Steal my Girl", titled "ready to run". It states that I have pre-ordered the song, but will not show up in purchased, even though I know it is available from looking at the album not signed into my account. When I sign in, it just states it was pre-ordered but has no options for download. How can I download it?

Hi emster829,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you have preordered an album but the available songs haven't downloaded yet, try the steps mentioned in this article first:
iTunes Store: About pre-orders - Apple Support
Download a pre-ordered item
When a pre-ordered item becomes available, you will receive an email letting you know that you can download your pre-order.
If you enabled the option to automatically download prepurchased content in iTunes, then your pre-ordered content may already be in your library. If not, click the download link provided in your email notification, and your pre-ordered content will begin to download. You can also use the Check for Available Downloads feature in iTunes on your computer (choose Store > Check for Available Downloads) to begin downloading your pre-order.
If the available songs do not download, you may want to report an issue with your iTunes Store purchase:
Report an problem with an item you bought from the iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store - Apple Support
All the best,
Jeremy

  • Song is unable to be purchased through Itunes Australia

I am having problems with attempting to purchase and download a song. I am getting messages that the song is unable to be purchased through Itunes Australia. This has only just started as I have previously purchased songs from Itunes with no problems. The prices of the tracks are now listed as being $0.99 (presume US) compared with what it used to be as $1.69 Australian. Can anyone help out with suggestions of how this can be fixed. Do I simply have to adjust a setting somewhere??

    Problem has been sorted.

  • Pre-ordered an album, won't let me download. How do I fix this?

A couple months ago, I pre-ordered the Katy Perry album. Since it has been released, I have been trying to download the album. But everytime I go and try to download it, it just says "purchased" and won't let me download. I went to my already purchased area, and it says no purchased songs need to be downloaded. How do I fix this!?

I know 4 different reasons at least that could cause this. Ask here to be sure:

  • Pre-ordered released songs?

I pre-ordered an album and the artist likes to release one song for everyday until the actual release date of the album. I have pre-order many times before and never faced this problem. When a track has been released it still says "pre-ordered" unlike the usual "download" (or just automatic downloading). I tried Store > Check For Available Downloads but it still doesn't work. I have to manually go to my account, cancel my order, and pre-order the album again. And if I'm right, I'm charged a little bit more every time I do so (not sure). Can any help please? Maybe I'm a little impatient, but like I said, I've never had this problem before. Thanks in advance.

i am having the same exact problem, it isnt giving me the songs i havent gotten the song ready to run yet and its really annoying me ive never had this problem

  • I have pre ordered a song but now I can't download it.

I pre ordered ' The Tea Street Band - Push The Feeling On EP' when the band first put it up for pre order.
Last night the band made the download avaiable for download, as I attempted to do that it would'nt let me download it, suggesting I had to buy it again.
I am very disapointed with apple in this situation, I know £2.49 is not a lot of money but they should make sure this does not mean, me or other people in the same situation have to pay for a download again.

  • Song won't Appear as Audiobook

    Hi.
I've imported an audio book from a CD, but it refuses to appear in the audiobook section both in Itunes and in my 3rd generation IPod nano. I've tried setting the ID3 genre to "Audio Books," "Audiobooks," and "Audiobook." None of these settings seemed to make a difference.
I'm wondering if anyone knows what criteria itunes and ipod use for determining whether or not a .mp3 file appears as music or a n audio book.
    Thanks!

The actual Audiobooks entitlement in iTunes and in your iPod does not support audiobooks downloaded from CDs. This entitlement is just for audiobooks purchased through iTunes. When I import my audiobooks from CDs, I create another genre entitled Audiobooks. In finding my downloaded audiobooks from CDs, I must use an additional step in locating them, ie. click on "Music", then "Genre", then the newly created "Audiobooks" genre, then my audiobook selection of choice. Hope this helps.

  • Pre order not downloaded and says i never purchased it

i pre ordered ed sheeran's album x a few days before it was supposed to be released and each day there was supposed to be a song from that album released so i got one song and i waited and waited for the next songs but none came so i went back to the store and it said that i never purchased the album

I figured it out. I just sent it as a gift to myself

  • Pre-ordered Babel album needs to be completed according to iTunes?

I pre-ordered Mumford & Sons Babel album. It automatically downloaded when it was released, no problems there. However, I was in the iTunes store looking at their page it was telling me I needed to complete the album?? And that is the regular album. I pre-ordered the deluxe edition. When I look at the deluxe album it just shows he same thing though, that I can pay to complete the album. But I have the complete album...
    Just a little confused.

    Hello atthetop
Typically with pre-orders you should have received an email to download your tracks. If you have not received it, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

  • Some songs won't copy to Ipod from Itunes

    Hello all,
A bunch of songs won't transfer to my ipod and I can't figure out why...
Exact message: "Some of the items in the Itunes Library, including "..." were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod" Then it says there are "101 problems - see below"
I counted the tracks, there are actually 63. (My library has about 6000 tunes.)
I've recently upgraded to buy the new DRM free songs, but I don't see the connection.
I checked the Kind, Sample Rate, and Bit rate and there doesn't seem to be any differences between these and others.
I converted the songs to mp3-192s, trashed the originals, still won't transfer.
I still have 10GB of space left on my iPod, so it's not a space issue.
Most are songs I purchased in the I-tunes store.
The only thing these songs have in common is that they all were loaded in the same session.
They were on my iPod before I upgraded to 7.2
    I'm on a G4 laptop, OS 10.4.9 1.67 PowerPC.
    Running I-Tunes 7.2
    Video iPod version 1.2.1

I was shocked to see your post. I was just about to paste this new thread:
After updating iPod software to 1.1.3 for my nano 8GB, there are 101 songs that iTunes refuses to sync to the nano, saying:
Some of the items in the iTunes library, including "Great Escape", were not copied to the iPod "My iPod" because they cannot be played on this iPod.
When I use the disclosure triangle to see details, all songs give the same info, for example:
"Multiply" was not copied because the file type is not supported by the iPod "My iPod".
But these are all just MP3 files. Some, if not all, of them were purchased in the iTunes store, then burned to a standard CD (aiff?), then later reloaded. They've all been played before on this iPod. I still have the original protected song files filed away, and I could pull them out, but I shouldn't have to do that. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks.
    --Scott
Sully, I think it is an odd coincidence that we both have "101 problems". I thought this was an iPod problem at first, but I have reset the iPod and started all over. The problem persists. I think the problem is in iTunes. In my case at least, there seems to be a list of m4p files within iTunes that were on this iPod before, files that i have replaced with regular mp3 files now, and iTunes doesn't want to copy over them. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
